Arthur smiled and let out a tiny quiet shriek of happiness as he was petted by Alex. He then flew off from the girl's shoulder and landed on Alicia's shoulder instead.

Alicia smiled at her soul animal and petted him as well. She then took her book to the librarian and registered it. She then walked up to the rest of the gang.

"Amen on that!" the boy exclaimed, fist pumping in victory and grinning from ear to ear. "I love War of the Worlds, The Veil, Neuromancer and all the wise. Stephen King's The Dark Tower is pretty cool too, but then again, it's more sci-fi than fantasy which is why I like it so much. I love anything fantasy, as long as it isn't Twilight. That crap should be forbidden... everywhere." he finished with a little head shake, blowing a few strands of hair out of his face with a sigh. "But yeah, in general it's always good to escape reality once in a while. And how cool is it that you can totally experience Armageddon without getting off your butt to fight for your ultimate survival." he exclaimed, holding out The Road by Cormac McCarthy. "Plus you get out alive!"

Alex chuckled as he went on about books and such. She nodded in agreement about his Twilight comment, "Yeah, who wants to read a book about a sparkly vampire fighting with a werewolf for the love of a depressed girl?" She questioned, happy that at least someone agreed with her on Twilight. "Your also right about being able to experience all the craziness of Armageddon and such without actually having to fight or die or whatever. Its what makes fantasies so amazing, they transport you to a whole new world, its amazing."

Violet walked towards the sci-fi shelves, rolling her eyes whenever Veronica acted like she was smart for knowing where she was going.

She looked at the 'D' section, smiling whenever she found what she was looking for.
"Doctor Who! I thought they didn't have it." said Violet, smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh my god. So many of the books! But I can only have three." She frowned.
"Why am I talking to myself?" She laughed, but soon after shook her head. She used to do this a lot, and not for a good reason.

This took her back to when she was still in her home. Having to leave was the toughest thing to do, but she knew they didn't want her. Weird, shy, quiet little Violet. Useless, weak.. everyone always forgot about her. No one would miss her anyways. Not like she had any friends, she used to quietly play on electronics.

Whenever she was outside she would just give small smiles, say nothing and go back home. Not to talk about how she inherited all of her looks from her mom's cousin, which always made her the oddball of the family. She never forgot how people used to think she was adopted, how her parents thought she never knew what they said about her.

She talked to herself.. not her parents, not her pets. Because she was all she had, no siblings, no friends, no favorite pets. Just her.

Feverishly nodding, Danny pulled a desperate expression, throwing his hands in the air. "And not to mention Stephanie Meyer is a terrible writer! And she's smug on top of everything." he sullenly added, glancing at his books.
"True that!" he squeaked in agreement, grin returning to his face. "But then again, I'd love to live through the end of the world. As strange as it sounds, I wouldn't mind some asteroid action and fighting-for-your-life and all that..." he mumbled to himself quietly, falling silent in an instant.
A distant exclaim rung through the air and he turned his head towards the sci-fi section.
The voice sounded awfully familiar.
"Violet?" No aswer. "Letty is that you?"

Alicia smiled as the two talked about books. She, on the other hand, like all types of books. But her favourites were books that had anything to do with a fantastic world with animals. Warriors, Guardians of Ga'hoole... she loved them! But she also had a thing for books based of events in history, especially those about WWII, like Milkweed or Anne Frank's diary, which was a classic. Alicia also liked horror books, but a bit less, which was why she was holding 'Shining' by Stephen King in her arms. She then heard Violet's voice and followed it.

Violet snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of Dannick's voice. She took a deep breath and smiled, her eyes shining from hidden tears.
"Yeah I'm alright. Just talkin' to myself." she said, giving a quiet chuckle and turning back to pretend like she was looking for books.

Veronica looked at her worriedly, but knew she always got through it alone. Bothering her with kind words never worked, it just annoyed her. She prefers sorting it out herself since no one else has in over eight years.

@lyric No, it's not only you, it's in general xD Too much drama, however, is truly annoying. @chapus2009 @hedwig68
-
Poking his head into the sci-fi section, Dannick quickly scanned it, immediatelly noticing the distraught girl. For brief second her face was the epitome of sadness, before a small and dim smile graced it. That exact brief second, he was sure, would remain burned into his memory like a photograph.

A slim passageway between two shelves, both sides of the long section completely burried in books. Tomes were stacked neatly on the ground as well, piled in small mountains near the edges of each wood chipped shelf. And in the middle of it all stood a girl with pearl hair and ruby eyes, a black raven perched gracefully on her shoulder. Slender fingers held a book, held it closed, simply hanging in her grasp, while she gazed upon it sadly.

It felt as if disturbing her peace had been a sin, so he ultimately decided not to utter a word. Quietly walking next to her, he turned to face the shelves of books, eyes gliding over each title in a similar way to Violet's. There was nothing to be said or done, and he knew all too well he couldn't fix anything by talking, but didn't want to leave her to fare all by herself either.

So he simply stood there with her, both surrounded by a comfortable kind of silence. He understood well that all he could do was offer her his presence, however plain and nondescript it was.

@hedwig68 @jupiter_hollow I do have to agree that too much drama is quite...sad, o3o. But it puts some interest in the RP. Man Jupe, how do you do it? 😱 I love how well you can describe a situation, nice and smooth! *admires you* 😃 @lyric

Alicia then decided that it would be good to continue the tour, since they didn't have plenty of time. Supper was in around 2 hours and after that they only have 3 hours before going to sleep, but they needed to be in their rooms around 30 minutes before bedtime to get ready. (They eat at 7 and the older kids sleep at 10.)

Alex crouched down and stared at the bottom shelf of one of the bookshelves. She read through the titles slowly, finally finding the book she was looking for. She grabbed it it and pulled it out. She smiled, just what she was looking for, she'd return the book in her room in a little while, it wasn't overdue yet. She got to her feet and walked to the librarian's desk. As soon as the book was checked out under her name she walked over to where she had seen the others disappear.

She was just beginning to follow them when she spotted Bear trying to eat a book, she groaned. "Bear, give that back!" She said, dragging the book away from the dog. Bear could be so stupid sometimes, she enjoyed the taste of books for some reason and thought that she could just go around chewing them. As soon as she had put the book away and coaxed Bear into turning into a fox, she picked her up and walked over to where the others were. She saw Violet and she cocked her head, watching quietly, listening.

Violet saw Dennick out of the corner of her eye, and closed her eyes. Shaky breaths were let out, but she swallowed and rubbed her eyes.

She dropped the books she'd been holding, turned around with only a split second glimpse of Dennick and walked past the people who'd she known were staring and listening.

There was a squawk from Veronica with the fast pace she'd been going, and her shaking hand took hold of the door nob. Twisting it quickly and swinging the door against the wall with a loud thud, she left.

Veronica flew down and into a fox, following after her child silently.
Violet stared at the ground, shaking and blinking rapidly, trying to get the tears to go away. She just needed to get away, away from them. They're so.. friendly. She doesn't deserve it, she isn't good enough.

The sound of paperback books spilling on the ground snapped Dannick out of his trance and he glanced sideways to see Violet dashing out. With furrowed eyebrows he rushed to exit the aisle, knocking over a few books s he went, and made it out just in time to see the girl disappearing out of sight.

He released a heavy sigh, leaning sullenly on the edge of the shelf.

The girl with looming walls also didn't take kindly to those defences being breached. He hadn't advanced too quickly, had he? He had just walked over, without even saying a word. She was more fragile than he'd thought.

And needless to say, after becoming aware of that, Dannick felt like bashing his skull in a wall. Preferably a very very hard one.

With a sullen expression, he walked back towards the pile of books he'd knocked down and arefully arranged them back in place. Seemed like the librarian hadn't heard a thing and thank god for that... The woman was very feisty for a 50-year-old! Then again, he guessed all silence keepers were.
Proceeding inside, he noticed a certain sci-fi book on the ground and picked it up in interest.

A moment later, his face broke into a smile and he quickly threw the rest of the paperbacks in place before dashing towards the librarian's desk.

"'m here to return The Road by Cormac McCarthy." he placed the book down with a smile, watchng as the woman opposite of him frowned deeply.

"You mean to tell me you've already read the entire book?" she asked grumpily, eyeing him in disbelief.

"Of course! I must say, the beach scene was heart-shattering. And to think the poor kid spend days over his father's corpse!" he faked a grieving voice, screwing his face up as if he was going to cry.

"Alright, alright. I'll check it out."
Almost immediatelly, Dannick's face straighteed out.

"Great! I'd like to check out this book please." he held out another paperback and the elderly lady unvoluntarily checked it.

After it was done, Dannick grabbed the book, rocketing out of the library and towards Violet's room.

Violet walked down the hallways, a fox following her at the same pace with large ears pointed downwards. She got to the cafeteria room, quickly walking past people that eyed her for a few seconds.

Turning on a corner and walking down the sector B hallway, she got to her dorm and sat down on her messy bed. Closing her teary brown eyes, she took a deep breath and tried to swallow the knot in her throat.
She tried to stop it, being weak was like being laughed at by a skyscraper of people.

She put on a show, that wasn't really her. But she didn't feel like she was pretending it. She felt happy, not nervous.
The teen laid down, opening her fuzzy eyes and stared at the bottom of the bed above her. Her cheeks were warm and reddened, the tears slid down silently.

She tried to keep in the noise, but a few whimpers escaped and her throat felt like a rock. Her animal nudged her and she gave a weak smile.
Violet put up a shaky hand and ran her fingers through her dark fur, Veronica looking at her child worriedly.

Soon enough, Dannick followed Violet's trail, elbowing his way (rather rudely) through the crowd of teen in the cafeteria. He left a few tipped breakfast trays and angry people in his wake... and well, he may or may not have tripped and fallen face first on the floor. But eventually he made it to sector B, turning the corner to the hallway a bit too fast and horizontal faceplanting into the wall. God, it wasn't his face's day!

Anywho, he reached Violet's dorm safely and with only minor face rearangements (his nose was either broken or just really badly hit), a redfaced panting mess standing in front of the closed door with hands balanced on his bent knees. Taking a moment to catch his breath, Dannick took out the book he had stuffed carefully into his jacket pocket and straightened out the ruffled edges, eyeing it for any rips and then nodding in satisfaction when he discovered none.

Once again, upon hearing her laboured breathing and the whimpers coming from inside, Dannick felt guilty for following. Hearing her mourns seemed like an intrusion of privacy and he stepped back some, looking at the door with furrowed eyebrows.

His gaze trailed down to the book in his hands and he parted the front cover, looking beneath it and smiling. With a cheerful jolt, he quickly got to his knees and slipped the paperback under the door, scrambling up and fleeing in an instant.

On the other side of the doorstep lay a book, a bit worn by the few years it had spent in the library, but nevertheless valuable and with the pale tip of a note sticking from underneath the cover.

'You know, you act like such a lonely man. But look at you! You've got the biggest family on Earth.' was written in Dannick's neat scrawl. A quote by Sarah-Jane. Once companion to the last of the timelords.

Violet fell silent when she heard someone outside of the door, blinking and sitting up carefully. She stared at the door, waiting for it to open yet it remained shut.

A paper had slid under the door, and she heard footsteps leading away from her room. After waiting a few minutes, she got up and walked towards the door.
Slowly opening the door, she looked down and saw a book and a note.

She grabbed them both, closed the door and walked back to the bed where Veronica waited, eyeing the things in her hands.
Violet sat down and read the paper. Smiling seconds after, she looked at the book and her mood changed in a matter of minutes.

The teen put the paper down and opened the book, reading through the first couple of pages silently.
After her tears dried up, she put the book down next to a napping fox. She got up and grabbed a hair brush, brushing her messy hair and sighing.

She never cried like that in so long, neither did she get over it so quickly. Closing her eyes and rubbing her forehead, she wondered who had dropped that book off.

Going into the nearest bathroom, she cleaned her face off quickly and walked back to grab her unconscious animal.

As Alicia was waiting at the entry door to the library, she saw as Violet ran out. Just as she was going to run after her, Dannick also ran out the door, running after the girl in tears. Confused she stood there a while before she looked out the empty hall. She sighed and followed the two as they ran into crowds. She swiftly followed them, Arthur flying silently above her, not wanting to be on her shoulder in the middle of a cafeteria filled with people. Not having much cardio, Alicia had to take some breaks but was back on her feet. She then saw Dannick with a bloody nose and she ran to him, "You okay?" she said, gasping for air after her long run. Arthur then calmly landed next to her, looking at the boy,

Startled by Alicia's sudden appearance, Dannick jolted up, accidentally smudging some blood on his cheek. At her question he waved a dismissive hand and smiled sheepishly.
"Ah, I'm alright, don't worry." he reassured, his english accent muffled from the hand clutching his nose. "Just ran into a few people. I may've also hit my face in a wall, but that is strictly confidential info." A smi stretched his face, laugh ringing in the air, turning into a hiss of pain seconds later. "Oooh aye. However his face twisted into one of confusion when Alicia informed him about their orphanage's medical accomodation.

The Hospital Wing isn't that big, it could carry around 25 people max. They usually have to take care of small bruises. And broken noses." She laughed, grinning, "I heard they do have a section for emergencies, but it's really small. It can only hold like... 5 to 8 people. If they don't have space or the equipment, then it's off to the hospital." She said as she walked in the halls.

As the others ran out of the library, one after another, Alex was left standing there, quite confused on what had just taken place. She just stood in the empty library until the librarian shooed her out. She then went off in search of the others, having not the slightest idea as to where they could have gotten to.

Finally, after a minute or two of searching she spotted Dannick and Alicia speaking and she slowly made her way over to them. She managed to catch Alicia saying something about the Hospital Wing and she noticed Dannick's nose, "What happened to you? Someone hit you in the face with a frying pan or something?" She asked in surprise, making herself known to them as she finally reached them. She wondered how the boy had managed to injure himself so badly in the short amount of time he'd been gone from the library. When it came to clumsiness, this boy had skill, she'd admit that.

Bear let out what seemed to be a snort and muttered to Alex, "And I thought you were one of the clumsiest human beings on the earth." Her voice dry in amusement as she noticed Dannick's face.

Alicia then turned around when she heard a familiar voice, "Oh hello Alex!" she said, smiling. "Yah, Dannick here faceplanted into a wall while running." She said, smirking. "And we are going to the Hospital Wing." She said. Alicia then pointed a large pair of doors with a sign above, "Hospital Wing, Entry." She then walked in to be greeted by a 30 year old woman with short straight dark brown hair and round glasses that covered her brown eyes, "May I help you?" she said, barely lifting an eye from her book to look at Alicia, "Um, one of our friends got their nose injured." She said. The receptionist then lifted her high above her desk to look at Dannick and Alex, "Oh hello Alex." She said with a slight smile on her stern face, "Nice to see you again." She said, concentrating once again on her book, "Your names please?" she asked, taking out a pen. "Alicia Noku, Alex Hunter and Dannick Charel." She said politely.

"Ah, so you've got the new kid. You already got yourself in trouble? Not rare for a youngster like you, yah always manage to brew up fights." She snorted.

"Um, he didn't get into a fight ma'am, he-"

"I don't care. You can explain that to Ms.Everead who will be taking care of you today. Now go, I don't have all day, I'm a busy woman." She said as she flipped through some pages. Alicia huffed and walked towards the 'Minor injuries' hall. As she walked, she heard the everyday cries from young children that had injuried themselves that covered the sounds of the comforting voices from the many doctors and nurses that took care of the place. She then walked into a room, where a young lady with short blonde hair was cleaning some things. She turned around to face Alicia and let out a smile, which was obviously forced. The poor nurse seemed to be happy outside, but her sad blue eyes said otherwise. She was quite short in since for her age with a 5"6. Ms. Everead was also known to be quite mysterious and quiet, as if she was lonely or lacking something, even of she was surrounded by children all the time.

"Hello Alicia." She simply said in her calm voice. Alicia always though it brought shivers to her back when she heard that voice, it sounded as if she was being strangled by pain and sadness, she wasn't scared of her though, but she rather felt bad for her.

Upon hearing Alex,Dannick turned to the side, looking at her and smiling underneath the hand he was covering his nose with.
"I... uh." he opened his mouth to explain but Alicia beat him to it and he nodded. "Yeap. What Ally said. Uhhh... I ran after Letty and sorta... forgot to look out for walls and such. But dude! you should've seen me in the cafeteria! I did a perfect swan dive into the crowd." he proudly informed the two girls.
"T'was magical."

Following curtly after Alicia, the boy looked around the orphanage some more. A few pointed stares directed at him made him blush sheepishly and hide his bloodied nose again. So before reaching the medical wing, Danny was already flustered.
"Woah..." he mumbled lightly, walking down the large hall along with the two girls. Once they reached the woman's desk, he quietly waited as Alicia listed all three of them, and frowned as said woman assumed he had stirred up a fight. He did look overly disheveled in general, so there wasn't a reason why she wouldn't assume he was a troublemaker. Truth be told he was, but an unfortunate one.

Alicia took lead again, and he followed after, faling behind and sullenly twitching his head left and right at the sound of crying and yelling.
"Ah, this place is so creepy. Stephen King novel-worthy... I think I heard- Oi!" Startled from Ms Everead's sudden but quiet tone, Dannick jumped out of his skin, snapping his gaze towards her in intimidation. "Gosh, sorry! Thought you were a ghost." he explained flusteredly, smiling in apology.

Ms Everead then jumped a bit, slightly startled by what Dannick said, "Oh, it's okay." she said, slightly smiling as she cleaned some objects. She then suddenly realised the boy's bloody nose, "Oh goodness, your nose!" she hushed, her voice suddenly less quiet. She then quickly ran towards him and pulled his arm gently with her long soft fingers. Surprisingly, she was able to lift the boy despite having thin arms. "Sit straight forward and lift your head darling." she said, as if knowing exactly what she was doing. "Now if you can, pinch your nose for a few minutes." she said, turning towards a large cabinet. She took some gloves and a wet towel. Ms Everead then started to clean his face that was covered in blood. She then looked at the two girls, "You two can sit in the chairs over there." she said, motioning towards two metal chairs that were leaned against the wall. Alicia nodded and sat down. She then looked at Dannick, "Did you hit something with your nose? Does it hurt?" she asked calmly.
