Alex waved slightly at Ms. Everead as they walked in. She smiled and said, "Hey Ms. Everead, amazing seeing me in here without actually being hurt, no?" She said with an amused chuckle as she took a seat in one of the chairs the woman had pointed out.

Alex had been to the Hospital Wing thousands of time in the 4, almost 5, years she'd been at the orphanage. Most of the time it was from doing idiotic or clumsy stuff, like running over wet tile, tripping over flat ground, and other strange stuff like that, she'd even fell out a window once and landed in a bush, broke two bones, a rib, and had a ton of cuts and bruises. The rest of the time Alex was getting injured were from fights, though they were much rarer, an occasional dispute here or there, Alex had really only gotten in to fights when she'd been new at the orphanage, being the new kid was never very easy, she just wanted to prove that she wouldn't take anything from anyone.

As she leaned back in the chair, she waited quietly for Ms. Everead to fix up Dannick. She yawned very slightly and whispered to Alicia, "Hey Alicia! Do you know when we eat?" She hissed, suddenly very hungry.

Ms Everead slightly looked up to see Alex, concentrated on Dannick, "Oh, didn't see you there. Yah, it sure is, just hope your friend here doesn't become as clumsy." she quietly said, giggling. Her face became serious again though when she turned back to Dannick, worried if his nose had broken badly.

Alicia turned towards Alex, "Very soon... actually, not really. In around an hour in a half. I could fetch you a snack though."

"Aw, darn. I'm starting to get quite hungry. Could you get me a snack too?" Arthur said, ruffling his feathers. "You have wings Arthur. I'm sure you can get your own snack outside in the city." Alicia joked.

"Pft, fine. I though I could trust you." the animal chuckled.

When the nurse heard the two talked, she suddenly turned around. Her deep blue eyes seemed to be fixing the two as if she was a wild predator facing prey. She seemed somewhat calm, but her eyes seemed to be shaking. She let go of something she was holding and snapped out of whatever state she was. Her trembling hands then calmly grabbed the tool that had fallen down, making a clinking sound against the marble floor. "S-sorry..." she quietly said, her voice shaking a bit, but it seemed as if she was trying to hide it. The sorry didn't seem to be towards the kids, but it's like if she said it to somebody else. Her eyes seemed glassy as she concentrated on Dannick again.

Alex grinned at Ms. Everead and nodded before turning to Alicia and shaking her head slightly, "Nah, it's alright, I'll go get myself something to eat in a little while." She said with a smile and she felt Bear nudging her hand and she looked down in questioning, wondering what the dog wanted.

Bear let out a slight chuckle, "You're not ordering someone to get you food? Shocker, you're ALWAYS making me get you food." She complained in annoyance and Alex smiled, shaking her head in amusement.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. You're so over-dramatic," she said, rolling her eyes and gently scratched under her chin. She smiled as the dog rumbled happily and then she watched Ms. Everead, who was shaking. "Ms. Everead, what's wrong...?" She asked her slowly, staring at the woman in confusion. She couldn't get why the lady had changed so suddenly, what could have brought on her sudden change?

Dannick lay on his back on the medical berth, holding his head up as much as he could to stop the blood from escaping his nostrils and trickling down his face again. He absentmindedly listened to the two girls and their animals, letting out an occasional chuckle at their food talk.

Initially he'd been surprised by Ms Everead's strenght and contrasting gentleness, but soon left himself completely in her hands. She seemed to know what she was doing and despite the odd look she bore, she seemed quite nice.

Until Arthur spoke up and the nurse gained an entirely new personality. The bang of the metal tool on the floor snapped him into full attention and Dannick's widely blown eyes stared at Ms Everead pointedly. It was as if a lightning had hit her. She seemed stiff, concentrated solely on Alicia and Alex. And once she turned back to him, he noticed how her eyes seemed to be glazed over and glossy.

However, unlike anything he'd ever seen her downcast irises held somehing unknown. Regret perhaps? Or was it a different kind of pain?

Nevertheless, he stared intently into her eyes, stopping her tool-occupied hand with his own and holding her wrist gently, beckoning her attention to him.

Violet walked towards the fox and flipped her over, snapping her out of her nap and lazily glaring at the young teen.
Smirking, she put her hand out and the vulpine quickly transformed into a thin black snake.

She slithered up her arm, past her shoulder and to her neck, lightly twisting around into, what it looked like, a necklace.
"That's new." said Violet, raising her eyebrow at the serpent.

Walking to the door, she twisted the nob, walked out and quickly shut it. She left in time to see the others turning a corner to the medical wing, and smiled lightly. The children and teenagers chatted loudly, making her rub her slightly pink eyes. She sighed and started towards the others.

NOTE: I have added a feature that will most likely help you guys out a bit. If the link between a child and it's animal is strong enough, they can talk to each other in their minds. So nobody else can hear them, but it is possible that if the link is strong enough to send messages in the minds, other people can hear it of there is not enough concentration. Also, the 'message' can be sent to many people at the same time, but it requires more energy.

"Heya Violet." Alicia greeted the other girl. She then turned towards the nurse and got a quite worried look, 'See, I told you she was weird!' burst out a voice in her head. She jumped a bit in surprise, 'No Arthur. She's... grieving. About something. I'm not sure what it is, but I may have an idea. I'll tell you later.' She answered back to her partner.

"I'm fine darling, just you know... remembering of the old days." Ms Everead chuckled slightly. She then felt something grab her wrist and followed the grabber's arm, only to be looking at the boy. She slightly smiled at him, her eyes avoiding his regard. The nurse then gently removed the boy's hand from her wrist and returned to his injury. She then gently pressed on Dannick's nose, "Oh, this doesn't look too good. I might have to call Dr.-"

BLAM!

The nurse was suddenly cut off by the loud bang of an opening door. A very tall man with a blue hospital suit walked in. His fire-coloured hair and amber eyes made a contrast to his clothing. He seemed to be around 36 years old and was followed by a beautiful golden retriever, "You called me?" he said in his golden voice, a large smile plastered on his face. The nurse was quite surprised by the doctor's sudden appearance. She bowed down in respect, her hands on her knees, "Yes I did Dr. Cadesi. I have a young man here who broke his nose. I think he might have broken and I am only a simple nurse, so I don't have the knowledge to go any further it appears." She said in her normal, quiet voice. The doctor huffed and put his hands to his waist, "Everead! Don't give those sad eyes! Come on, gimme a big smile!" he ordered, slightly chuckling. The nurse seemed astonished again, "U-uh yes sir." She said, nodding. "Now you are called over to take care of the newborn baby. You know where to go I believe~" he chuckled.

"Yes, I shall go." She said, quickly walking out the room. Cadesi poked his head out the hall, "And remember! SMILE!" he chuckled, closing the door and looking at the kids, "Ahem. Excuse me for the sudden appearance, I was walking in the hall when I heard Ms Everead talk. Anyways, as you might already know, my name is Dr Cadesi, but you can just call me Cadesi." He said, looking at the girl's, "Oh hello Alex! Nice to see you here not injured for once!" he laughed, turning to Dannick. "So we got a broken nose here, eh? I heard you're the new kid around here. Must suck to have an injury on the first day, but it looks like you have a few good friends already!" he said, smiling. "Oh, I forgot to present somebody." He said as he was putting on gloves and taking an ice pack, "This is my Soul Animal Lira. She won't bite I assure you." He chuckled. The dog barked happily and waged it's tail.

"Um... sir?" Arthur asked, lifting his wing.

"Yes?" the man said, observing Dannick's nose.

"We were with Everead and she was acting a bit strange... did something happen in her life before? Like a tragic event or something like that?" he asked. 'Arthur!' Alicia scolded him.

The doctor turned his head towards him, a look of sadness on his face. "I'm afraid that's a type of thing I would prefer not to talk about." He sighed.

Alex's grinned widened into a full blown-out smile, "Cadesi! How's it going, I was hoping you'd stop by." She said with a grin at one of the few adults she actually liked and respected. "It feels weird being here without beig injured, but hey! There's a first time for everything," she said with a slight chuckle as she shook her head. When he wouldn't answer Andrew's question Alex wondered what had happened to poor Ms. Everead to make her like that.

Alex then looked at the pretty golden retriever that was Lira and she got out of her seat and slowly walked over to her, hand out. "Hey girl," she said with a grin at the dog, feeling Bear peaking out from behind her to watch Lira carefully. The dog cocked it's head, sniffing the dog.

She looked at Cadesi, "Soul Animal you say?" Bear asked curiously as she glanced at Lira. She had never met an adult with a Soul Animal, she was only used to seeing kids have them. She didn't meet too many adults though, Alex usually got in trouble when she was either sleeping or simply not with her. She thought it was interesting that she was now seeing an adult with a Soul Animal.

Lira smiled and waged her tail even more, "Alex!" she yipped happily. She then put her big paws of the girl's knees and licked her face, still smiling. She then turned towards Bear and let out a playful growl, "Heya Bear! Nice to see you too!" she barked.

Alex chuckled, "Yeah, I don't that. Odds are I'll be back in here in a few days for one thing or another," she said with a mischievous smirk. She then turned to the pretty golden retriever, laughing as she received licks to the face. She rubbed behind the dogs ears and scratched her back gently. "Hey girl, it;s good to see you." She said with a bright grin.

Bear cocked her head and sniffed at Lira curiously. She then bowed down, barking playfully, "Hi Lira!" She said, having heard both Alex and Cadesi say her name. Her tail wagged at what seemed to be 100 miles per hour, excited to meet the new animal. Her whole body was shaking as she watched Lira curiously, her mouth open and tongue hanging out of the side of her mouth.

"Oh, hello sir!" Danny greeted the man with a muffled voice, hence the cotton that Ms Everead had stuffed in his nose to stop the bleeding. The man seemed ever so nice and if it didn't somewhat hurt to laugh, Dannick would have done so along with Alex. She seemed to know this doctor, he guessed from the many trips to the medical wing.
While he was engulfed in listening to Alex and Dr Cadesi's chat, his soul animal had clambered off his stomach (where Dez usually laid) and hopped down to observe the two canines greeting each other. His curiostiy was at peak, but Dez didn't favour dogs and despite their friendly appearance, he didn't come close.
Dogs scared him. They were larger than him, heavy and very very fast. Every time he would wander nearby them, they would chase him, for no reason. Why were the dogs at the other orphanage so mean!? Then again, weren't all dogs mean?
He was almost sure these two wouldn't ruffle and bite at his pelt like the mutts back at their previous home, but his instincts prevented him from daring to approach them.
He simply stood there, tilting his head to the side and watching them curiously.

Introducing TWO new characters!

Meet Stephen Blaron, he's the director of the orphanage. He is very serious and makes sure things are always well done. He is nice around kids, but is very irritable. He is very strict when it comes to respect and he prefers that we call him Mr. Blaron. He has a Soul Animal name Cora, who can turn into a white Persian cat with blue eyes, a Northern Gannet and a Bengal tiger. She is very kind and patient and is always of service to help others and her, urm, 'child'. Stephen is 37 years old, 6"1 and he has short brown hair with blue eyes. He often wears a suit and looks rather wealthy. He is also very concerned by the orphanage and will never hesitate to make the building better for the children as well as the staff.

Jess Alaron is the youngest personnel of the orphanage. She is only 24 years old and is Stephen's personal secretary as she often helps him and does things for him. She is also at the entrance of the orphanage and takes care of many adoptions. She had very long bright blonde hair that she keeps straight. She has dazzling green-blueish eyes and is 5"3. She is calm, a smiley person and a bit shy. Jess tends to be a bit overprotective and very naive. She is very respectful towards Stephen and can get protective if somebody insults him or tries to disturb him turning his two million calls he has every day. She has a Soul Animal named Vanessa. She can turn into a ferret, a trumpet swan and a Hyena. She is very motherly, but in the more bitter way, always saying to her child that she should be careful and not be stupid. Vanessa is very feisty and challenges others a lot, causing lots of trouble for her busy and shy child. She is also brutally honest.

Looking up at the doctor looming above, Dannick felt flattered by the doze of attention. In other circumstances he would've been nervous to be laying on a medical berth with a broken nose, but there was nothing to be afraid of right now, so he was relaxed and calm, rather cheerful too.
Wiggling his nose a bit, Dannick winced at the small jolt of pain the minor movement sent to his mind.
"A bit." he informed the doctor sullenly, reaching up to touch.

In the meanwhile, Dez had slowly slid next to Alex's seat, climbing quietly up and then observed Lira's duck form with wide curious eyes, craning his neck forward and getting closer, until he was mere inches away from the animal.

Personality: Muahaha, to be revealed! (Do be honest, I'm kinda out of ideas for personalities. D: I did JUST create two new characters. xS)
Looks: Curly blond hair with a 'eagle' nose. Has a 'blocky' face with small lips, dark brown eyes. 6"3 and is very square-ish. He always wears nice jeans with a belt and some wood-cutter styled shirts.
History: He was in the orphanage for quite some time, until the age of 11 before being adopted by some rich family composed of a few adopted kids as well. There, he was treated like a prince like all his siblings, getting the best education and all the new toys. He was always bragging about his new things and was sometimes bullying others to prove he was 'superior'. Though this came with a price. His parents, wanting their kids to bring honor and money to the household, bombarded them with rules all the time, leaving little space for Peter's energy as a vigorous teenager, so he never got to release it. He then decided to get a part-time job at the orphanage that took care of him. He know works as a handy-man, helping with chores around the area.

Personality: Emily, or Poison, is rather snobbish. When she and her child were living on the streets before being picked up by the orphanage, the two relied on each other, luck and survival. She always makes sacrifices to get whatever she and her owner want and will never stop until that goal is achieved. She is rather picky with her choices. She likes to intimidate others. Heck, she's almost like Peter.
Forms: Lion, normal sized and has the normal lioness colour.
Great Blue Heron, nothing specific.
German Sheperd, bigger than usual sheperds.

Cadesi seemed to think for a moment, still looking at the boy. He then grabbed some things and applied some bandages on his nose as well as some ice, "I recommend you avoiding to touch your nose too much. And be careful to not blow or bend your head down too much. Don't hesitate to come see me at my office if your nose starts bleeding again!" he chuckled, smiling. "Now off you go, you kids have one hour before supper, so go have fun! And try not to get injured." he laughed.

Lira smiled and looked at Dezirae curiously. She then saw as her child was leaving the place and jumped down and turned into a monkey. She then climbed up his shoulder and clapped her hands, smiling.

Alex gently pet Lira and Bear couldn't help but be slightly jealous so as Lira moved, Bear climbed up in her lap. She was quite a large black lab, not fat, just big. She curled up in Alex's lap and sniffed Dez curiously, keeping her distance because she guessed Dez wouldn't react well if she got in her face.

As the dog sat in her lap, Alex let out a loud, "Ooof!" She shook her head and looked at Bear, "What the heck?! Bear, you weigh to much in this form, can you change to an arctic fox before you crush me?" She asked her, scratching her back in slight amusement.

Bear looked at her with her big amber eyes and she almost seemed to smile at Alex. She then shook her head, "No." She said simply before lying her head down and causing Alex to huff in very slight annoyance, yet she was also very amused by the situation.

Cadesi chuckled as he listened to Alex and Bear talk. He then removed his gloves and threw them away. The doctor then grabbed a leather bag and turned around to look at the kids, "Well now, I must go for I have important things to attend to. Don't hesitate to come see me if you need anything!" he chuckled, smiling, "Anyways.... until next time!" he said, walking out the door followed by his dear companion. A few seconds after he left, Ms. Everead walked in quickly. She then smiled at the kids, "Well I hope you have a good night." She quietly said, her voice sounding sad.

Alicia nodded but couldn't help notice how the nurse looked sad, but tried to hide it. It was quite hard to see, but the teen girl could see it in her eyes. She then got up and walked outside with Arthur.

Personality: Very violent and aggressive, prone to getting angry or offended by the smallest thing and stirrs up fights rather often. Main reason why he wasn't adopted is his territorial tendencies - he's very possessive over his everything he has (and sometimes over things he doesn't have). Known to either throw punches around until he obtain what he wants. Introverted and elusive towards those he generally comes to not hate. Wary of forming friendships and dislikes trusting in anybody. Only has his soul animal (that he can actually stand) with him.
Appearance: Loomingly tall, lean, but generally muscle-less. Sporting a hunched-over posture, which makes him look protective of himself. He has dark brown hair with natural light brown highlights. Dark brown eyes. Wears broody clothing, mainly a black hoodie, which he often wears with the hood up so he'd remain unseen (though it's a bit impossible for him).
History: Taken from a domestically violent family. Father in jail and mother living alone (he guesses she still hasn't removed her drinking tendencies). picked up his violent behaviour from his father, which mainly taught him to stand his own in a street fight (which he initially tended to get into often). Eventually taken by Child Services and placed into an orphanage, when no families wanted to take him.

Personality: Quiet and observant, generally intelligent, but also prone to keeping out of fights and arguments. Has a nastybad side, which surfaces rarely, mainly when her child is unjustfully blamed (which he never is, because he usualy IS guilty of what he's being accused off - which is hitting someone/breaking something). Often acts like a judge to Keegan's actions, but has generally given up on attempting to lead him in the right direction. He's officially hopeless to her, but she sticks with him nevertheless, because she has no choice.
Forms:
-Vulture (dislikes this form purely because of the implication of greed and gluttony of the real animal)
-Lioness (only used in emergencies - otherwise she doesn't like being needlessly intimidating)
-Fav form - Barn owl (aside from the noticeable overly bright pelt, August adores this form for it's simple beauty and grace, as well as the implication of wisdom)

I recommend we time travel to around one month forward, so it's like December now, Dannick has gotten used to the orphanage and the bullies have arrived.

Haha, four in the morning is always the time for inspiration, I write at about that time because the nighttime and the morning time are so inspiring. XD I actually want to see Dez though, just out of curiosity. And is it back that I now completely ship Dannick and Dez? xP

I think it's the evil face in Chaps post that's really making me nervous. ">D" is that evil genius face that has me scared. xD
