The Foxes of Swiftwind (Literate Fox Roleplay.)

The foxes of Swiftwind once lived in harmony together, a huge group of foxes. But over the years, one of them wanted all the power and land of Swiftwind, his name was Genko. The foxes met in a meeting one moon. They chose the three best foxes for leaders: Koryo, Zedyn, and Genko. Every fox in Swiftwind, chose one of the leaders to create clans. Koryo's clan became the Morning Creek clan. Zedyn's clan became the Twilight River, and Genko was the Dark Purity clan. The Morning Creek clan specialized in living in damp, moist places. They were known for their swiftness, and courage. Twilight River were known for living where trees stretched as far as they could in Swiftwind. Twilight River was known for loyalty and strength. Dark Purity lurked in the shadows of the jagged mountains, and were stealthy, and murderous. All lived in peace for a few years, until Genko finally unleashed his plan to create chaos. That time is now. Which clan will you choose to protect and defend?

Okay! Research on foxes is done. xDDD

I never read warrior cats...book...thingy, so sorry if I have some of this wrong! Hehe.

Name: Atticus
Gender: Male
Age: 23 moons (About 2 human years)
Description: Strong, with visible muscles on his hind legs and shoulders, and also tall. He has the average markings of a normal fox. Orange-red fur covers over the top of his head and all down his back; he has black paws and tail, with a white under belly as well. His eyes are a dark brown.
Rank: Deputy
Personality: A strong second in command. He keeps his leader organized. He takes on a lot of tasks of telling where everyone should go and what everyone should do. He’s not afraid to fight or show others he’s boss, which tends to get him into trouble with the leader, but overall he is good at his position.
Clan: Twilight River
Others: Foxes FTW

Name: Ria
Gender: Female
Age: 18 moons (About 1 1/2 human years)
Description: Small and lean darker colored fox. She’s a dark, red-brown color that appears to look like redwood tree bark. Her paws are black halfway up, but her toes are pure white. The tip of her tail is white, as well as her under belly, which mixes in with her red-brown fur. Her eyes are dark brown, almost black.

Personality: Very motherly. She has a bit of an innocent personality, preferring not to face the reality before her, so she makes up all sorts of happy “fairytails†to tell the kits. With her mother-like personality she is very calm and nice. Most of the members of the group find her great to talk to if they have problems and such.

Description: She is an unusually grey fox and almost resembles mist. Her eyes are a harsh sea blue. She is muscular and large.
Rank: Fighter.
Personality: Warlike and bloodthirsty. She loves to see the death of other foxes in battle. Battle is the thing she lives for, and it is the source of her energy. She is kind with people in her clan, but when they battle, she's a bloodthirsty montster.
Clan: Dark Purity.

Name: Crimson
Gender: Female
Age: 17 human years.
Description: She is an unusually crimson red, hence her name. She is small and agile, and very fast. She can climb things swiftly and dodge things easily. She one of the smallest in the clan. Her eyes are a gentle green.
Rank: Hunter
Personality: She is very kind and gentle with those in her clan. She one of the more expierenced hunters and loves to teach the pups about hunting and tell her stories of hunting to them. Hunting is what gives her her energy. When she is in the clan she is gentle and kind, but when she's hunting she's a different fox. One with energy that loves to bring a tasty meal back to her clan.

-Description: She is a light colored Swift Fox with white tiny dots all over her fur. Instead of having black paws like a normal Swift Fox, she has white bleached feet, and only one paw black. She has a pale dark shade of green for her eyes.
-Rank: She is the healer for the Morning Creek clan.
-Personality: She has a kind-hearted soul. She is very kind and will do anything to protect a pup or juvenile, even from a different clan. She dislikes Mist very much, but finds it hard to swallow the fact that Dark Purity are evil. She gets very touchy and can get non-agreeable. But mostly she is social and nice.

-Age: The equivalent of 18 human years (whatever that is in fox years. |D)
-Description: Will is pure black, and his eyes are an astonishing sapphire blue. He is lean and muscled, with one long scar running down the length of his front left leg. Could easily be mistaken as a fighter.
-Rank: Healer
-Personality: Will is named after the emotion, and lives up to his name. Headstrong, but has a gentle side, although nobody gets to see that much unless he favors you highly. He knows he has good looks, and he uses them, and he also knows that he could've been a fighter, but he felt some kind of inner joy at healing others. Perhaps this is why he's never considered himself a pure Dark Purity.
-Clan: Dark Purity
-Others: Maybe he could find a mate in a different Clan, or cause a rebellion- I don't know, I want great things for Will. He's a sweet little good guy behind all that gruff and snarl. o3o FOXES FTW

Wait so this isn't like Warriors, right- I mean Healers CAN have a mate, right? If not, then woot, even bigger rebellion. xDD BUT WAIT. I might need to create another character for Will then. |D WILL WHY ARE YOU SUCH A LOVABLE CREATURE.

Will stepped out of his den, his black pelt quickly absorbing sunlight. He had noticed this morning that he was low on several herbs, so he padded out into the mountains. From experience, Will knew that there would be not much growing in the fruitless crevices, so he would have to go near the Morning Creek border- herbs grew well there, as it was damp and moist. Enjoying the walk and not caring about the smell of prey, that was a Hunter's job- Will nimbly leaped from ledge to ledge until he landed on soft Earth. There, he had to cross a little while before he reached the border, but no matter- the walk did good for him anyways. Going past a familiar tree, he reached the heavily marked border, and the distinct change of landscape irked him before he set out to nose for what he needed.

@marinalily Almost like Warriors. The healers can have mates, but not from different clans due to the tenseness of Genko creating the plot. LOL almost typed Golem instead of Genko. XD

Cloudfeather yawned and stretched before climbing out of her burrow. She stepped out of her burrow and let the cool breeze of the Morning Creek territory through her fur. She inhaled and exhaled the fresh air. She noticed they were low on herbs. She then padded out of the area of her burrow and to the border. Cloudfeather then noticed another fox. "Great," she muttered, "he has Dark Purity scent on him." She then walked close to the border, so the other fox could hear her and see her. "What are you doing so close to our border?" Cloudfeather asked kindly.

Will tensed, then turned his gaze towards the other fox. She was light coloured, with a dappling of white and green eyes. Strangely, she only had one black paw, different from other Morning Creek foxes. "I'm just here to collect herbs," he said truthfully, continuing to pull out stems. "I haven't stepped over, you may check if you want." His voice carefully neutral.

Cloudfeather nodded. "Well, I guess," she said, "Koryo is just getting all over protective due to Genko, hopefully that wasn't offensive to you cause you are Dark Purity." Cloudfeather grabbed a piece of marigold and catmint. "I best to be on my way." Cloudfeather then took the plants she had took from the patches of grass and padded off back into the camp.

Will finished picking what he needed, and clasping the stems firmly in his mouth, stared after the other Healer. Clearly, she disliked his Clan, and strangely, her snide remark hadn't hurt. He really should be ashamed of himself, thinking this way, but he wasn't. Maybe all he was meant to do was heal, wherever he was. After all, he didn't particularily agree to everything Genko was doing anyways. Turning around, he stashed the stems away to pick up later and continued his walk along the border, finding the air refreshing.

Cloudfeather put the herbs in a neat pile in her den, making not very deep holes for the catmint and marigold to rest in. She yawned, she felt tired. At that moment, Koryo had announced a meeting for the Fighters and the healer. Cloudfeather shrugged. She had not wanted a war to begin, nor a huge rivalry against Dark Purity. She then thought of Mist, that cruel monster in battle, bloodthirsty, enjoying watching foxes die. She shivered, but regained her sense. She walked over to Koryo's burrow, slowly taking steps in. She could hear a fighter's voice, yelling something about Genko.

Will had soon come back into a full loop and had arrived back at the border where he had stashed his herbs, and began climbing back up the mountain. By the time Will had arrived back, Genko was up and pacing in front of his den, seemingly concerned about something. Will quickly assumed a submissive posture as he tried unsuccessfully to slink past the leader.
"Will!" No luck.
"Ymph, Gnnrcko?"
The leader gave a hollow laugh. "I see you have quite the mouthful. Deposit them quickly, I wish to speak with you afterwards."
Will sighed with relief as he quickly sorted the herbs into their respectful places. Genko acted and looked like quite the leader- which was good for them, Will supposed, but Will never understood why Genko did so- everyone knew what he was anyways. Padding outside, Genko was waiting right in front.
"May I come in?"
"Yes," Will stuttered, "yes of course."
Genko sat gingerly on one of Will's spare nests, the ones for foxes that needed to stay with Will occasionally.
"So, I have a plan.."

"When do you think Genko will unleash his plan?" the fighter bellowed.
"Calm down. We need to first find out what this plan is first," Koryo said so all the fighters and the healer could hear.
"It has to do something with taking over, murdering or something of the sort," Cloudfeather joined in. She wanted to get this over with. Koryo's den wasn't for a large group, just about only four foxes at the max. It was very squishy.
"Maybe, we can't be so sure," Koryo responded, "Genko is a powerful fox, he had wanted power from when all the foxes were living in harmony. I have a feeling it has to do something with Swiftwind."
Wait a second, Genko had wanted power. Cloudfeather then joined in the chorus.
"Genko wanted power right? It has to do something with taking over then. Or maybe he will have a strong force of something, like mind control in mind. Then he could go to other lands like Firebreeze or Embergrass," Cloudfeather spoke.
"You have a point, but still we can not be so sure." Koryo said.
"Stay alert and try to hear every word Genko says, without going in Dark Purity territory. We can have hints from the way that Genko's followers react or even speak."

The farther Genko got in explaining his plan, the more uneasy Will got. First off, whoever heard of working with dogs? Genko had somehow worked out a deal that if the dogs wiped out all in Genko's way, the dogs would be able to roam the territories free. But at the same time, Genko had also devised a way to make it look like the dogs were a large threat, so that he would make the clans "unite" to fight the battle, thus eliminating the dogs which had followed Genko blindly. After the battle, his fighters would come out, quickly finishing off the rest of the foxes that had not followed his way.

As Genko got farther and farther into his plan, a malicious glint came into his eyes, and Will seriously thought his leader might start frothing at the mouth any second.
"Will, this is why I need you to work and get even more herbs. It is crucial to the plan that the fighters be healed the first, not to mention quickly and efficiently. I need you to get everything you can, and I will speak to the fighters about being careful fighting the dogs, as they will need their pelts for a greater purpose." Genko stalked away, most likely to be talking to the fighters. Will, with his stomach a knot of dread, started towards the border again, with the words, "get everything you can" echoing in his mind.

Mist padded out of the Fighters den. She breathed in the brisk morning air of the mountains, so beautiful with their ice caps, the ones farther off looking purple. She smiled. Today was going to be a great day. 'If only there was a battle to fight.' She thought sadly.

Crimson climbed out of her den and sniffed in the beautiful scent of dew and moisture in the morning air. She padded out of camp to hunt. She quickly tracked down a moose and went back to tell the hunters, as they would most likely be able to kill it if they worked together.

Genko headed towards where the Fighters usually camped, and saw Mist stretching in the sunlight. His favourite fighter by far. She had earned Genko's respect, with her bloodlust and joy in death. In fact, she reminded Genko of himself, except.. more intense. He remembered her birthing, how Mist was the sickly pup that should've been killed. Genko was glad he had allowed himself to be held back from snapping the pup's neck. No hard feelings. After all, all's fair in blood and war. Training his thoughts onto his marvelous plan, he walked towards the den once more. "Mist!" He called. "I must speak with you!"

@marinalily I speed read. I read a 27 book series in less than a month, and wow, I never thought of that for Mist! Thats amazing, a great history to her. Thanks! @ashfire Is Koryo's meeting over yet? Cus' Crimson and some other Hunters a Moose and brougth it back xP

Mist snapped back to reality. "Coming!" She called as she walked over to Genko. "So, Have you figured out a plan yet?" She asked politely sitting down

Crimson and some other hunters took off to kill the moose. About an hour later, with Crimson panting, they dragged the dead moose back into the camp and into the clearing. She smiled, proud of what she had done for her clan.

"Yes!" Genko exclaimed, joining Mist in sitting down as he proceeded to explain through the plan. It was exactly the same version he had told Will, except shedding more light on areas that were for the Fighters to execute.
"... And that, dear Mist, is how we shall take over Swiftwind. Your thoughts?"

Mist nodded. "It's perfect. The other clans will never suspect that this is our plan." She thought about the adrenaline thatw ould be rushing through her as she fought the dogs. She had fought dogs before, but surely she was good enough.

Crimson took a small piece of moose meat and took a bite. It was soooo good and juicy. 'This is the best meal I've had in years!' She thought happily.

"I bet you're excited!" Genko said happily. "So to take advantage of that, I want you to brief all the other fighters about the plan." He paused, appearing to consider something, then stood up, muscles rippling. "After that, see to it that Will gets help carrying herbs back- he should have much to carry back." He headed off towards his den, his dark pelt shining slick in the sun. "And Mist," he said confidently. "I'm not worried about you at all."

Mist smiled. This would be her chance to prove herself. "Sure thing. I'll tell the other fighters about it right now. Then i'll go help." She said taking off to the fighters den. She told the others about it and then ran over to Will. "Genko sent me to help you find and carry back herbs. Where are we going to go first?" She asked. She was a bit hyper, seeing as she now knew what the plan was.

Will cringed inwardly at the sight of Mist hyper, but he knew that he would indeed need help carrying back herbs if he were to be ready for the upcoming battles.
"We'll have to go by Morning Creek's border to collect most of the herbs," Will said, narrowing his eyes. "I expect no slip-ups or border-crossing or threatening others. I understand that you want all your parts intact for the plan to be properly done?" He glanced behind him to make sure Mist would follow, and nimbly leaped down from a ledge onto the earth below for the second time that day. Taking a sweep over his surroundings, for he was afraid the dogs might've decided to come early, he padded back towards the border, feeling damp soil beneath his paws once more.

Mist managed to calm herself down and nodded. She leapt down the rocks and followed Will. A grossed out look appeared on her face as she stepped on wet earth. She walked gingerly on the tips of her paws.

Crimson walked back to the hunters den and laid down for some rest.

Will immediately set out to find and pick all herbs he could lay sight on within the boundary, and instructed Mist to do the same, placing the herbs in a pile by a tree. Passing dangerously close to the border, Will stared wistfully at a large patch of herbs just across the line. Shaking his head free of treacherous thoughts, Will resumed to picking herbs on his side of the border. After all, if Genko had his way, Will would soon be able to pick herbs from wherever he pleased. But still.. No. He wouldn't do that. Will was better than that.
