"Oh I'm terribly sorry. I should've known better than to remind you." Mist replied in fake apology. It was an embarassment to the clan if they were late to start. She walked over to Will. "You okay? It was kind of stupid for Genko to point that out about you." She said sympathetically.

Crimson stood up and lapped up some moisture form the grass below. She waited patiently for Genko to start.

Will snorted. "I wasn't hiding," he said. "Really. I just don't feel up to facing everyone. Don't you ever tire of people looking at you like.. well, pardon my impoliteness, like you're Genko himself?"

Genko cleared his throat, facing the assembled foxes. "As I was kicked earlier," he said dryly, his eyes narrowing, "I have not started yet. Dark Purity has no news to report. We have been doing well in feeding each other and taking care of one another, and, our ancestors forbid, we have not broken any rules; search for proof if you must." He paused, thoughtful. "Although why suspicion runs so deep in your veins is unknown to me, let it be known that we only desire your trust and a chance to prove us worthy. There may come a time." His black eyes searched the crowd, but and they hardened on two foxes at the outskirts of the assembly. "I would also like to commend two foxes for their great efforts; Mist, my best fighter, and Will, our exceptional healer. That is all."

Mist rolled her eyes. "I know exactly what you mean. Just because i'm part of Dark Purity, doesn't mean i'm evil. I'm loyal to my clan and their ways, and that is all." She said truthfully. She smiled and politely at GEnko and nodded her head in appreciation.

Crimson looked at Genko. "Great job!" She whispered excitedly to Velvet, realizing that that's why she had been gone for a few minutes.

Will felt an odd feeling of happiness at the sympathy and understanding Mist was showing him, and watched stoically as Genko praised him. "Hmmph," was all he said, though, and got up to join his leader, knowing they would be leaving soon. He had no idea what to think of Mist. Genko had told him about her past -sad as it was- but he could not seem to match the bloodthirsty fox that always appeared at his den scratched or bruised with the kind creature that had spoken to him.

The moon was high in the deep, inky-black sky when ice was woken from her slumber.The loud chattering of foxes filled the air. 'Umph.' she thought. 'Why don't those clan foxes have any respect for us rogues? We need sleep too!' She rolled over and watched as the stars blinked in and out. Deciding that sleep was no use, she stood up and stretched.

Slowly exiting her den, she sniffed the air. 'Rabbit!' Crouching down, she stealthily crept through the forest searching for the rabbit. A loud caw from a crow distracted her and she looked up. Several moments later she heard rustling in the bushes. 'There is is - the rabbit!' Back legs bent, Back arched, she jump and landed her paws on the rabbit. With the quick-motioned struggle, the rabbit got out from under her paws and started to race away. 'Oh no you didn't!' Ice thought. She leaped up to her feet and began to chase the rabbit.

Heart beating, Ice jumped through and between the trees and their tangled roots. Her paws were small, smaller than most foxes, so she rarely tripped over the thick knots of roots that twisted through the forest.

All of a sudden, Ice stopped. She had chased a rabbit through a bush, and into the large gathering of foxes. Ears back and fur bristling, she pushed herself to the ground, hoping to avoid the piercing looks from everyone around her. She tried stepping back, but she was paralyzed in fear. As a pup, she heard stories of the savage clans of foxes who fought and killed rogue pups who entered there territory. Ice had never had a conversation with one, she had only seen them from afar.

Description: Storm is completely black and has green eyes with golden flecks. Her body build is lithe, yet strong. Her fur is medium length, and Storm's muzzle is covered in scars. She has a few scars along her sides, but these are less numerous, and none of her scars are very distinguished.

Personality: Storm is loyal to the very end by definition. She's headstrong and stubborn, and more times than not, rude and irritable. Beneath her layer of anger though is a very kidded soul tray cares deeply for her friends. Storm would lay down her life without hesitation.

Ria eyed the two foxes at Genko's side, curious to try and see what was so great about them. Sure, one was quite strong looking, but the other was very lean and probably would be crushed by her leader, Koryo, with no problem. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, then looked up to listen to the meetings once again.

"What Genko said...it had to be a lie, right?" She thought to herself.

Atticus narrowed his eyes at Genko's clan, letting out a low hiss. His chest was raised high to make himself seem tall, but he was careful not to go above his leader. Dark Purity made him angry. "Why couldn't they live in peace like the rest of us? Why'd Genko have to go all power hungry? What a waste." He grumbled under his breath, waiting for this meeting to be over.

Will could feel the scrutinizing and distasteful stares he and his Clan were receiving before he saw them. Will was already in a terrible mood, and if he did manage to see anyone snarling at him- well he would snarl right back. He was just about to growl at another one of the foxes before a fox Will had never seen tumbled out of the bushes after a rabbit. After a careful sniff, Will discerned that the fox was a she, and that she had.. no Clan. A rogue. Knowing that he was overstepping his boundaries but doing so anyways, he approached the fox. It was strange, because she looked like a skinnier version of him. Sure, his eyes were more midnight than ice, and that he had a scar down his leg, but those were all little details. If one did not look closely or try to smell them, it would be hard to tell them apart. Will looked towards Genko, who was probably the only fox there that wasn't alarmed or snarling- but rather sitting calmly. Genko nodded his permission to approach the terrified fox further. Will stepped forward, making sure that he was not being snarly or aggressive, nor submissive.

Cloudfeather blinked at Will. Why had he not attacked like more Dark Purity clan members? Cloudfeather then remembered back, how this same very fox didn't seem offended when Cloudfeather had pointed out that Dark Purity was awful. Cloudfeather then set her gaze on the rogue that had fallen in.

Koryo then went silent for a while, staring at Will was going to do. He then pondered for a minute.
"This meeting is over," he said so all the foxes could hear, "someone will take care of this rouge."

Storm smiled as the meeting ended. Hooray. The less she saw the other clans, the better. Besides, Genko's little speech about trusting him scared her a bit. He was definitely planning something, alright. Those were just words to calm the foolish. A good fox is always on her toes, as Storm's mother used to say. And that was before she and father had died in a fire they never expected. So much for being on their toes...

No matter. That wasn't the important thing. No, she needed to find this plan. Then Storm would help find ways to counteract or neutralize the plan. Yes... No fox was going to live under Genko's reign.

Will growled and turned to face Velvet. Why was she even talking to him? "I'm the strange fox that doesn't attack rogues." He said, then regained himself. The rogue didn't look like she was going anywhere. "My name is Will," he said. "Healer of Dark Purity."

Cloudfeather then saw Velvet, talking to the healer. She took a deep breath. "Velvet shouldn't be talking to him, especially since he is from Dark Purity," she muttered. She then padded to where Velvet was and faced her. "Get back to where our clan is," she ordered Velvet, "I don't want you talking to another fox, from Dark Purity." Cloudfeather then faced Will and then looked at Velvet again.

LOL it's Cloudfeather's mean side. 😃

Will saw heard the other healer before he saw her. And Will bristled at the comment. Sure, Dark Purity was a strange clan. He could accept that. But when other foxes judged him for it- well, that was what Will had been avoiding for the whole gathering. "Just because I'm Dark Purity-" he muttered. "Doesn't mean I'm out to murder your pups in their sleep." He stood up taller, as if he could put more faith into those words. After all, who knew what Genko would do. Maybe his leader would do just that, you never knew. But Will- he was merely the healer. He shouldn't have been treated like that.

Cloudfeather looked away. "Is there a difference?" she muttered, "a Dark Purity fox, always has Dark Purity blood in them." She then looked at Velvet and told her to get back into her own clan group. "Koryo says to watch out for any Dark Purity foxes, but sadly this fox Velvet, wasn't at the meeting," she said slowly and quietly.

When she got to the burrow, she went into her nest and slept. She dreamt of finding a whole group of moose by the border. She just hoped that she could hunt one or two for the foxes in the morning and help stock up.

Mist gave a little smile to Will, but then her face fell. 'Who am I anymore?' She thought. In battle she was bloodthirsty monster, but when she was around Will, she was a whole different fox. 'Who am I.....' She thought sadly. She let out a silent growl as the healer's helper was talking to Will, then, when cloudfeather came and started talking to Will, She just couldn't stand it. "Back off!!!!! Go back to where you came from! Just because he's dark purity, doesn't mean he's murderous! WE are loyal to our clan and their ways and that is all! Even I don't entirely agree with Genko plan!" She yowled at Cloudfeather. She regretted yowling the last part though, because Genko was within earshot.

Crimson walked over to cloudfeather. "Calm down Cloudfeather. It's ok. Velvet, don't go talking to a fox in a another clan, even if it's not dark purity." She said calmly, trying to break the tense air.

Storm trotted back towards camp with her clanmates, chattering with a few of her friends quietly. Finally she made it home, and with nothing better to do, stepped into her little den and promptly fell asleep. Dreams of rabbits and mice played through her mind.

Cloudfeather stared at Crimson. "If only Genko wasn't born," she began, "we'd be all living in one happy group!" Cloudfeather then looked away. If Velvet wants to talk to Will, let it be, Velvet will then learn she was wrong. She then followed Koryo and the others back to their territory.

"I do agree, but then again cloudfeather, let Velvet do as she pleases. It's then her fault if she gets killed for not knowing better." Said Crimson, TRying to calm Cloudfeather. "Now let's get back to camp, i'm tired." She said trotting after Koryo.

Mist sighed and began walking back to camp after Genko. She slumped down in the fighters den and fell asleep in minutes, dreams of fresh mountain goat and bear haunting her in her sleep.

Cloudfeather nodded beside Crimson. "I guess you're right," she said quietly, "it's just, Dark Purity wouldn't have been this bad is Genko wasn't born." But, she just shook her head and went silent for the rest of the walk back to camp.

Will trod back to camp, trailing behind, half thinking, and as much as he disliked to admit it, half self-pitying. Maybe he should just become a loner and never have to deal with clans ever again. He reached his den in an outcropping of mountain rock and lay above it, thinking, and silently staring at the winking stars above. The rock was cold, but soon it was warmed as Will spent more time there, watching as his eyes slowly drifted shut and into dreams.

Cloudfeather then went into her burrow. She nestled in the nest of leaves she made as a bed. She then drifted to sleep, forgetting about her anger and Genko. She yawned, and then finally fell asleep.
Koryo snuggled in his burrow, yawning from exhaustion from the gathering. He then closed his eyes, and slowly went into a deep sleep.

Will awoke early in the morning, surprised for having fallen asleep atop his den. To his relief, it hadn't rained. Stretching, he leaped off the ledge, obeying his stomach and going out into the forest to catch his own breakfast. Will believed in keeping the food for the vixens, leader, and those who couldn't hunt for themselves for whatever reason. Lifting his black muzzle, he smelled a rabbit farther on, and slunk to the ground in order to stalk it.

Velvet woke up early, ate some rabbit and went hunting. When she came back, she saw a few of the fighters eating. She added them to the pile and smiled at them, watching them smile back. She then went to get some horsetail, marigold and chamomile. While Cloudfeather was sleeping, she put the herbs in the pile and walked into the marsh again, caught a mouse, and put it outside her leader's burrow.

Cloudfeather yawned, watching the sunlight bounce off the smooth flat stone in the camp area. She yawned again, getting up and shaking herself awake. She noticed that Velvet had added some herbs to each pile. Cloudfeather smiled. She went outside, grabbing a rabbit from the pile of prey. She sat down, dropping the rabbit on the ground. She then sank her teeth into the fresh soft skin of the rabbit.
Koryo yawned, stretched, and stood up. He looked outside of his burrow at the camp. Everything seemed right, no attack from Genko yet. He then saw the mouse outside of his den and grabbed it. He then noticed that Velvet had caught it and nodded in thanks to her.

The rabbit padded dangerously close to the border, unaware, as Will debated whether it was worth it to pounce and perhaps step over the border accidentally, what with all the tension towards Dark Purity. Will decided that his stomach was his leader in that moment and pounced, snarling at the prey with all the anger of a dog before it had the chance to cross the border. The rabbit perished, and satisfied that he had not went over the border, Will decided that this was a good spot to eat his breakfast, as he could bring some herbs back after he was finished.

Storm woke up with a small yawn, curling up tighter in an attempt to sleep a bit longer. She was very tired... The gathering had gone a bit later than expected. Still, the fox's bright green eyes opened up to slits, and she blinked the sleep away slowly and silently.

Crimson woke up, yawned, and stretched. She walekd over to Velvet. "Hey Velvet, you still up for that hunting trip we planned yesterday?" She asked kindly.

Mist woke up and yawned. She stretched and sat down on a warm rock to think about her life. 'I've changed. I don't really like Genko, or Dark Purity anymore. I want a peaceful life. I don't want to battle, I just want to make my clan happy, a clan that isn't this clan.' She was decided. She would get through today, and then run away and join Twilight River at midnight.
