it was found under our old cafeteria, but they said all it would probably do is feel lyk an earthquake if it went off... i think....

Starting....NOW!

Sun streamed in through the window, and shone on Annie's face. "Auh...." she rubbed her eyes and slid out of bed. Annie straightened her nightgown and trotted downstairs. Her father was waiting for her as usual. "Your mother had to leave early this morning," he stated, sipping a mug of tea. "She had to attend a seminar. But she had time to make some pancakes for your breakfast." he said, and handed Annie a plate of pancakes. Annie gave her father a shy smile. "Tell her I said thanks." she said and poured a glass of milk. "Mmm." she id as she ate. "Bye pumpkin." Her father said and slipped out the door. Annie waved goodbye and put her plate back. She went back upstairs to get dressed.

Aibileen pushes down the lid for the wafflemaker, making pancakes with syrup traps. 😃 Her grandmother, Minny, was reading from the city's magazine. Aibee's grandfather was still asleep. "What's new in the city, Minny?" Aibileen asks while lifting out a yummy, golden waffle. Minny's eyebrows scrunched up when she frowned, "Oh, they want more Protecters! Around your age, too. I would miss you very much if you joined them, dear."

Annie dressed herself into a yellow sundered and walked outside. A boy ran past her. "Hey, Annie." he called, and then kept running. "Hi, Alex." she said and continued toward the Cafe, which was the best cafe in the City. A glass of coffee would definatly cheer her up.

Aibileen finished making waffles for her grandparents and eats one herself. "Have a good day, Minny! You too, Gramps!" she called as she left their house with a light sweater. Aibee heads towards the general store to pick up some milk. After paying with small change, she heads over to the Cafe.

Halo added a final detail to the Rosetta and then passed it on to the waiter, then started on the next order. She wouldn't mind some coffee herself, she thought, stifling a yawn. But this was a good job. God knows what she'd do if she lost it. But then, what would this place do without a good barista? She smiled smugly.

"Here we go again." Scarlet smiled and slid down the ramp of the stairs to the kitchen. "Morning." her brother, Ren. "Mom down there?" she asked, finger combing her hair. "Yep." Ren nodded, and a car beeped outside. "That's my cue, seeya." he skidded out. Scarlet wiped her nose with one hand, and yawned. "Forgot to clean up?" her big sister chuckled. "You know me well." Scarlet laughed and headed upstairs to the bathroom.

Am hour passed, and Lavender rushed up to Halo. "Cameron's home sick," she informed Halo breathlessly. Cameron was next waiter shift. "We're short, so you'll have to serve too." Halo sighed and took the latte she'd just finished along for the customer.

Messy Bleached Blonde Ponytail? Check. Football Jersey Quarter Sleeve Shirt? Check. Black skinny jeans with Vans? CHECK. "Nice." Scarlet's sister commented on Scarlet's latest outfit. "Sports. But still, that outfit is too die for." Hannah laughed (Scarlet's sister's name). "Thanks." she replied. Well, Scarlet was the 'Girl Next Door', a sporty girl with amazing fashion taste. But Hannah was the girl with elegant clothing with professional hairstyles.

Once Scarlet walked down the block to her mom's flower shop. "Start on the baskets." her mom chirped, her usual greeting. Scarlet also had semi-delicate hands, organizing a dozen pretty roses.

Halo took back the empty dishes and had just thrown out the serviette when she turned back and saw a pamphlet that had been left underneath on the tray. She picked it up and read the title, then her hand curled into a fist, scrunching it.
"Halo!" Lavender called. "I'm under siege here!" Halo hurried to help, dropping the ball of paper into the bin as she passed.
