Levike stared around her. Why didn't anyone want to be friends with her? I mean, Daddy said they would treat me just like a home, she thought. As she rolled her eyes, the boy who she sat next to climbed over his seat as sat somewhere else, shaken.

Aibee noticed Annie's quiet tiredness, and immediately shut up. "Sorry." she whispered, and started busying herself with a card game. Aibee stared out the window, wishing something would happen or she'd just die.

The doors to the bus closed, and the engine revved. As if on cue, the gate slowly rose. Annie shivered. Time to go.

RP getting exciting now 😊 (or at least I hope! XD)

The bus pulled through the gate and it slammed down behind them. Annie anxiously looked out the window to get a late glance of the city she loved, buts the wall obstructed all view. She sat forward and pouted. Then, she stared out the window, watching for Umbra Res that might pounce. Amanda upped in, "Looking for Umbras? They wouldn't dare attack a bus. Besides, we have snipers on the roof of the bus anyway." she chirped. Annie felt half as cheery. At least Amanda probably grew up in the Protector castle. She sighed and closed her eyes.

Dusk listened to that Amanda girl talk about the Umbre Res.
They didn't scare him.
Though he could see how it could scare the others, as they were just assigned to this protector job unwillingly.
He continued to doddle in his notebook.
He drew a sparrow with amazing accurary.

The scratch of a pencil drew Annie's attention to Dusk and his drawing. She looked at the sparrow. "It's beautiful," she whispered. "There are lots of sparrows out here," Amanda piped in. Annie shot her a glare and she clammed up. "My name is Annie Deirre. I really like your drawings, can I see..." Annie's eyes fell to the scars on his neck, and she had to choke out the rest of her sentence. "...more?" she said with a smile twitching at the corners of her mouth.

Dusk noticed the girl, Annie was her name, was talking to him.
He started to flip though his notebook, giving her glimpses of tomcats staring at you, random buildings among the town, and the city fountain, it's water frozen in place in still pencil marks, and small delicate looking birds resting on it.
Dusk stopped flipping there.
He knew what he drew at the back of his notebook.
The monsters that still seemed to haunt his memories. What he remembered of the smal glimpse of what he had seen of an Umbre Res.
He quickly flipped to a new, clean page, and wrote, /My name is Dusk Alley/ and showed it to the girl beforeturning away again.

Halo shivered quietly, a shadow at the back of the bus, unnoticed. Somehow, surrounded by all these people who shared her fate, she felt less real, more like an observer looking down. Sometimes it made her wonder if she even existed. Transparent, that was the word. There was nothing special about her, nothing different. Fading.
Umbras. Snipers.
Her old fear returned. The fear of repetition. She hoped like hell they wouldn't tap her as a sniper.

Then, the path veered off into a forest, and in the distance the figure of a castle loomed ahead. "Yup, that's castle Theresa, better known as the Protector castle." she said, and joyfully clapped her hands. Annie sighed. Would this lady EVER STOP SMILING?!?! this wasn't some little game, it was life and death! "We'll be arriving in five minutes," the bus driver announced.

Halo started. So fast? She wasn't ready.... Hurriedly she slapped up her mental defenses, as in, trying to emotionally prepare herself so she wouldn't break down crying at any point.
You're Halo Celestare, she told herself. Strong. Bold. Brave. Fearless.
It wasn't very convincing, especially since we're talking about a girl who a few days ago worked in a coffee shop.

Aibee had a twisted look on her face when they talked about Umbre Res, and shivered when she saw the castle.
She really disliked Amanda, she seemed.. fake. Too fake, unrealistic, and... annoying. Aibee tore her gaze away from her to the girl in the corner shadows. She seemed like she would be very loyal to you once you were good friends with her. Aibee made a mental note to be nice to Halo, she heard her name when she told Amanda.

"Umbra Res. Snipers." Scarlet hummed. /No thank you./ But she herself knew that once she was officially a Protector, her record is not going to be clean.

The bus lower and stopped for a second as the gates to the castle opened. The fences were topped with barbed wire, and more snipers were on the roof of the castle. A lurking Umbra took it's chance and pounced. The snipers on the roof shouted and swore; a few quick cracks filled the air as the Umbra was shot down. Amanda squealed, and then started laughing. "Wasn't that a hoot?" she giggled. The people on the bus glared at her like she was crazy. The bus pulled ahead and stopped after the gates were closed.

Evy heard the creak as the gates closed, this was it... she was too terrified to move after what she saw, she had just seen an umbra, and Amanda acted like it was common.

Halo's hand shook on the armrest and she closed her eyes. Whether she was shaking from anger or fear, she didn't know. Perhaps a combination of both.

/That was cool, violent, and scary./ Scarlet thought as she saw the Umbra and it being shot down. The person who sat on the other side of the aisle giggled to Scarlet. "Do you think Umbrellas work against Umbras?" she giggled stupidly. /Wow. They must be very desperate./

Aibee watched the monster be shot down with little curiosity. She thought to herself, well, if that's what we're killing, let them be dead. She shook her head when Amanda treated it like a small bear cub. Wow, I would never do that, though... Aibee thought. She looked ahead as they entered the courtyard of the Protecter's castle. "What now? My life can't possibly get worse."

Levike shuddered. What was that monstrosity? She didn't know. Her parents had never told her. She'd been told that she was going to be safe. She'd better be, she pouted, cursing at her parents. How was this good shelther?

She chewed on her lip. Maybe this was a joke. Her parents would never treat her like that.

Aibileen picked up her bag and got off the bus. Amanda was skipping off into the caste, quite hastily and kinda fast. Aibee shrugged and sat down on an old, dirty bench in the middle of the courtyard.

Annie picked up her luggage and stepped off the bus. She looked around, first at the tall fence topped with barbed wire, and second at the overwhelming amour of trees and space around them. "Amazing," she mused. Annie pulled open the large doors and walked inside the castle.

Dusk followed everyone inside the castle. He was only carrying his notebook and pencils, nothing else. He owned nothing else, except for the clothes on his back.

A woman at a desk was handing each Protector initiate a card. Annie approached the desk. "Here is your ID card. Don't lose it. Your are in dorm number 365 in Wing C." the woman said with a bored expression. "Thank you, ma'm." Annie squeaked and started to search for her dorm.

Dusk was also handed an I.D card and given a dorm number.
He immidentily started to explore the castle. Who knew all the things that could be here.
Hopefully he'll know every knook and cranny of this place by the end of the week.

(What does the inside look like, how many floors, SECERT PASSAGE WAYS? 8D Ect, ? XD )

@taffy789 pretty medieval thing, dark passages, lots of locked doors, rooms that haven't been used for centuries....but there will be guards to catch you 😉 the time for exploration comes later.

Aibee followed Dusk and got her I.D card and was in dorm number 367, Wing A. She smiled at the bored lady and gave her a warm, freshly-baked cookie and a thanks. The lady immediately cheered up, munching on the yummy cookie.
Aibee looked at Dusk's back as he explored, longing to go and explore with him. But instead, she turned towards the girl's dormitories and into her room. Aibee dumped her small-ish bag onto her bed and sighed, looking out the window. It was a beautiful day, mountainous range at the horizon with big trees filling the space in between the castle and re mountains. She named the tallest one, Big Peak. There was a mountain set off from the others, that was pretty small, dark and had a deranged/scary look to it, a split down the very centre of it. Aibee named it Spilt Terror.
