Grisallia jumped backwards as the egg split open. Green shell and afterbirth clung to the young sorien as he curled up on the stone floor.
"M-mother? I-I feel cold..." He murmured, curling up into a ball.

Marshmallow glanced down at the egg as a Sorien emerged from the shell of the egg. She noticed him shudder from the freezing weather and almost immediately, she dashed out of the cave to gather some moss from the rocks outside. She weaver it into a piece of bedding and placed it under the Sorien. As she leaned forward, she opened her mouth to speak, half talking to Carrie the Cumula and half to the newborn Sorien.
"I'm Marshmallow. I'm a Colatay." She smiled, backing away from the Sorien.
To Grisallia, she added, "I think Jaxie would be a good name for him."

{Nightfall}
"I guess your right. My parents hid me in a small body of water among seaweed and rocks." She meowed, curling her tail over her muzzle.

{Aiden and Lorelai}
"All I know is that we were hidden behind a bramble bush when we were still eggs." Lorelai stated, shivering.
"It seems logical that something or someone might have attacked this place." Aiden pointed out as he stretched out his wings.

"I just want to know, why me," Dreamflight's ears drooped, "I saw smashed eggs around me, so I know I wasn't the only one. I just want to know why I survived, but no body else did." Her gaze was focused on the rain, slightly remembering something. It sounded soothing, the voice sounded familiar.

"Yeah Jaxie's a cool name!" I chimed in. "Ooh Marshmallow, I like your name! Hehehe~"
I watched the Sorien curiously. He had murmured something just as he'd hatched. Something that sounded like "Mother". Mother. My parents. No, no. I wouldn't think about that.
'Just focus on what's in front of you,' I scolded myself.

"Or perhaps it would be better to find another place to shelter," I murmured, glancing up. Rain was still pelting down, and this small bushy area wasn't the safest place to be. "Like a cave?" I added.

Splashnose felt a cold chill travel up her spine and nodded. It was the first time she felt the cold since she was busy thinking about what happened. The ruby cat looked around for where Carrie went. Her scent was masked by the rain.

Grisallia ran over t the shivering Sorien and cuddled up to him. Instantly, he stopped shivering.

"Guys!!" she called.

"Go see if anyone else is over here. I want as many of us in the cave as possible."

She began to stand, the Sorien curiously tailing her.

"Thank you" Marshmallow replied to Carrie's compliment. As she watched Grisallia cuddle in with the small Sorien, Marshmallow plucked out several feathers from her wing and lined the Sorien's bedding with it.
"That should keep you warm." She whispered backing out of the cave and peering out.
/I should see if anyone is there.../
She stealthily crept out of the cave and into the open, the wind ruffling her brown fur. On the corner of her eye, she could make out the outlines of a ruby-red creature.
"Hello?"

{Nightfall}
"Me too." Nightfall sighed, licking her paw.
"All I knew was that smashed eggs and the scent of blood is never a good sign. Against all the odds, why us?"
She strained her ears and her eyes were wide open. She could hear footsteps.
"Somebody is coming."

{Aiden and Lorelai}
"I agree. We should stick together incase that thing that attacked this place comes back." Aiden murmured under his breath, digging his claws into the dirt.
"Good idea. Lets look over there!" Lorelai chimed, dashing through the trees ahead of her brother and Canashi.

"T-thanks?" Whispered Jaxie.

"That's Marshmallow. She's a colotay." said Grisallia. "Just wait a second..."

She got up and wandered over to the cave wall. Moss had blanketed the dripping stone in a layer of green, so she searched along the wall until she found a patch of moss that had dried up.

Grisallia used her horns to hack away at the dead plants. She was surprised at how easily it came off, but she draped it over her back and came over to Jaxie's side.

"Here, wrap yourself in the moss. That will keep you warm. I'm going out with Carrie and Marshmallow for a while to see if I can find any others."

Then she turned away and joined Marshmallow by the cave entrance. Carrie seemed have already have gone to look for company, and Marshmallow seemed to have seen something in the bushes.

Grisallia withdrew to her friend's side and held her breath, in case the red happened to be yet another poor mother who had died in trying to save her child and made the ultimate sacrifice.

No, that couldn't be a dead body. The red wasn't the exact shade of blood, more like the glittering of a sunset or the luminance of a....a....she couldn't quite grasp the word.

"Hello?" asked Marshmallow. Grisallia drew in a gasp and bumped the colotay.

"How do you know it's not dangerous? You don't even know what it is!!" she hissed under her breath in panic.

Dreamflight froze, slowing down her breathing. She didn't know what was coming and if it was dangerous, she thought that it could be one of the creatures that attacked their families searching for any survivors.

Storm awakened to the foul taste of seaweed in his mouth and an eerie whisper calling out to him. Visions of the garguaiths flashed into his mind, then he soon realised he was still alive.
/After all that, I could still breathe?/
He stood up, his hooves trembling with every step he takes, afraid of what might be lurking in the darkness. But all he saw was rain. Damp from the pouring rain, he headed for shelter, nearing a hollow tree. He heard murmurs, but he was too frightened to take notice. With that, he trotted towards the oak, unaware of the creatures sheltering inside.

Somewhere, back in the recesses of the magical cave trembled two eggs. The first were varying shades of orange, yellow, and red. It looked like it might house a penguin, for it had tiny flippers hanging of the side of it, and webbed feet too.

The second egg was all white, but it had rainbow-colored streaks running up the side of it like demented rainbows. It showed no evidence of what could be inside, unlike the first egg. Suddenly, the fire-egg began a terrible trembling and shaking, evidence of the baby's struggle to get out into the world. The egg shook some more, and tumbled out of the nest, breaking on the floor. A yellowish blob flopped out, and lay there drinking in it's first precious breathes of air outside the egg.

After a few minutes, the baby slowly opened it's eyes and observed it's surroundings. It seemed to be in a cave. /Yeah, that's what this is..../ It clumsily sat up, and thought. /But what am?/ it thought, looking at it's flippers and curious webbed feet. /Well, I don't now what I am. I know I'm a female....That much is certain....What is my name, though?/

She thought for a minute, and then it hit her. /Gwennie, yes my name is Gwennie. I don't how I know that, because my parents aren't here to tell me I'm right. I just KNOW..../

That brought Gwennie to another subject: Where we're her parents? She looked around the cave again, this time shakily getting up and waddling around. They didn't appear to be in the little cavern where she was, so where we're they?

Gwennie could tell that a tunnel led out of this part of the cave, and into an even bigger one, for she saw light at the end. She did want to go out there, and see if she could find her parents, but it just didn't seem right leaving the other egg here. So instead she cried out, "Mama! Papa!"

"Mama! Papa!!" Jaxie heard a voice echo from the heart of the cave. He looked around wildly, but then he noticed the orange glow flickering at the end of the cave.

"Oh, um hello!!" he muttered shyly. "I'm Jaxie. Who are you?"

Grisallia was staring suspiciously into the bushes when the creature suddenly stepped out from the side of the bush. A perfectly harmless corunis, so tiny and innocent.

"Oops." she muttered, smiling a bit at her mistake. "My name is Grisallia, and this is Marshmellow. She's a colotay and I am a Grisal. Who are you?"

Dixie has just been newly orphaned in a tragic attack of garguaiths, has only recently hatched into a dim world of nothingness and may even have seen the horrible bloodstains on the rocks. She is acting as though nothing has happened. I'm not angry at you, just a little confused.

@ushafuse Creating new characters. Try and make Enisby to walk somewhere. It is raining in the roleplay so he has nothing to fear yet. Just a suggestion 😊

@audrei9 I didn't know she had just hatched,and given I just joined, I didn't know what to post. But fine, if you insist.

Dixie sat in the corner looking glum. She had just hatched and didn't know what had happened or who/what she was. She just knew she was tired and hungry. She had ran away from the blood stained cave that she came from. She had found this cave with others in it, but she knew nobody here. She lay under a small wilted tree and tried to sleep, tears rolling down her face.

Hearing no response, she sat down immensely depressed. Where were her parents? Had they abandoned her? Had they-

Something flashed in the corner of Gwennie's eye, and she quickly turned her head to see what it was. Her eyes darted to a bright red feather that was stuck under a large boulder. Curious, she waddled over and examined the thing; to her amazement, it looked just like the ones on her egg!

Gwennie quickly tried to move the boulder, found out she couldn't, and walked around to the back of the boulder, not knowing that she was about to be traumatized for life. She gasped.

There, right in front of her lay her mother. The boulder had apparently fallen on her, and she was still bleeding even though her heart had long ago stopped beating. She quickly turned around, and waddled as fast as she could away from the dead body of her mother, ending up in a sobbing mound at the far end of the cave wall.

"URGH, I FREAKING HATE WAITING! I'm not gonna wait anymore." He mumbled. He ran around and smelled something. "Eww, smells like a dead thing." He said as he followed the scent. Suddenly he saw a red fiery creature, he backed off immediately. "What the heck is that?! It's looks so hot! I'll probably dry off when I get near her.. Or him. Ughh, better run away..." he said as he quickly ran off.

I 4got to mention that Jaxie can hear like a bat. That was why he's so quiet. Feeling a little better?

Jaxie thought he heard something from the back of the cave. He listened intently. He couldn't quite place the noise, since it was the first time he had ever heard someone cry. But even though he was curious, he could feel the gravity of the situation. And since his fear did him no good, he ceased to be afraid.

His heart thumped in his chest as he tiptoed across the shadowy cavern. The only light that faintly glimmered from the entrance of the cave was enough for him to keep going. He shed off his moss blanket as he went, the silence booming inside his ears.

Then, as he reached the end of the cave wall, he stopped. There was light. It was impossible, but true at the same time. there was a flickering, orangey-red light reflected off the cave wall, like a candle. This was good, because then he could see much better. The source of light seemed to be illuminating from a narrow passageway leading under the ground. And the sobbing noises seemed to be getting louder by the second.

He carefully and noiselessly slipped into the tunnel of rock. It wasn't very long, but as he reached the very end he accidentally kicked a rock into the crevice. He froze, but the pyraguin had seen him. Her face was encircled in a halo of fiery light as tears rolled down her cheeks. Near her...

Jaxie could not hide the expression of pure horror that crossed his face. A [i]dead body[i/]. Coated in blood and a few days old, but still very real. With a gasp he recoiled, but as he did so fell onto his back...

Dixie rolled and turned, but she couldn't sleep. There was too many questions. Who was she? What was she? And most of all, why was there blood on the rocks back there? Then, for the first time, she realized that she was wearing a wooly scarf. She tried to take it off, but she couldn't. It was like it was attached to her.

@ashlinnhi Gwennie the pyraguin has wandered into the cave Jaxie hatched in via a different entrance. She sees her dead mother and is traumatized, and starts crying. Jaxie calls out to her but she does not hear him. He goes to investigate, following the sound of her sobs. He eventually makes his way to her, but then he sees her dead parent. Grisallia is with Marshmellow right now, but isn't doing anything very important. @rustiscool @ushafuse @leafdapple769 @cheshire @splashnose

He slowed down and walked randomly around the place, making sure he remembers where he comes from, just in case the rain stops. He was sauntering when he suddenly saw a blue and a brown one. "Is that a Colatay? And a Grisal? Why are they here?" he wondered and he walked cautiously towards them.
