"Yeah, I'm okay..." Grisallia murmured. She stopped leaning against the rock, and realised that she had left a vary, very small bloodstain on it. She was staring at it when suddenly it hit her and she fell back with a gasp of horror.

"Griss? you don't seem okay at all!" Jaxie ran over to where she lay and knelt beside her.

"T-they're everywhere..."

"There was only one of them here, and you killed it!"

"No, not the Garguaiths."

"Then what?"

Grisallia pointed.

"That's called a bloodstain. I know I was the one who caused it, but there are bigger ones everywhere. We have seen them, but by now the rain would have washed them off."

"Yeah, so?"

"Can't you see?" Gasped Grisallia. "I just had a vision of how....how......"

Jaxie looked concerned. Grisallia shook her head.

"The bigger the wound, the more blood comes out. There was a lot of blood I could see when I hatched, but by now most of it is gone. It was raining before I hatched, so there would have been more blood. A LOT more blood."

With a sense of growing dread Jaxie nodded at her to continue.

"I was bleeding a few minutes ago, and that caused a small bloodstain. As I have said before, the bigger the wound the more bloodshed. A wound that can be as small as a scratch only produces a small drip. A bigger scratch causes a few drips. Then imagine how mortal a wound could be if it caused a stain THIS big."

She stretched out her entire body to indicate the size. Jaxie stared at her in horror.

"I doubt that I even have that much blood in my body for that!" he murmured.

"That was only the size of one stain I saw when I had hatched. Consider how long it has been raining, and how big they would have been BEFORE."

"You don't say.....?"
