She walked over to Stormfur, and sniffed his paw. He had indeed twisted it. "Can you stand?" she asked.

Stormfur grunted, and stood up, favoring his right paw. "Just barely."

Shadowberry stood on one side of him, supporting his weight. "Come on, Newt. Get on his other side!"

Newt bounded over digging his shoulder up under Stormfur's leg, taking the weight up off of his leg. "Alright, let's go then."

They started to walk awkwardly homeward, stopping know and then to readjust themselves, but they made it to the border. "We made it!" Stormfur gasped in relief, before hobbling over to the broken beehive."

What are you doing?" his sister asked, impatiently.

He came back holding the whole hive in his mouth. "I didn't twist my paw, and get stung for nothing!" he exclaimed.

Shadowberry just rolled her eyes, and they resumed their journey.

Newt rolled his eyes before he walked beside Stormfur again, ready to catch the tom should he fall.
"So just a quick question, why attack a beehive?"

He blushed, getting more and more embarrassed by the minute. "Well, I wasn't really attacking it....I just wanted to get it down so we could have honey!" he mumbled while carrying his precious hive.

{Canarysong}
She yawned, her belly full. Canarysong closed her eyes, starting to doze off. /Hmm, I wonder where my siblings are.../

I looked at the fresh kill pile which was rather small. /I'd better save the food for the other cats./ I thought, turning away from the pile and letting out two coughs and a small wheeze. /Because right now I'm useless./

Canarysong jerked her head up, her medicine cat instincts spiking. "Mossmoth," She started sternly. "Was that a cough?"

She followed Mossmoth, into the warrior's den. "You better come, and let me give you some tansy though," Canarysong prodded gently.

"No dear, leaf-bare is coming and you need your herbs. I'll let you know if I get really sick. Like I said, its old age, and there's no cure for that." I rasped, holding in another cough, I did not dare cough again in front of her. "I think I'll go out on a walk."

She frowned, shocked at how stubbornn the elder was being. "You're coming with me to the medicine den. NOW." Canarysong growled.

/Oh, I hope I didn't hurt her feelings!/ she thought, immediately regretting her tone.

"Listen to me, I'm not going to let you waste good herbs to cure some silly cough. It'll cure itself in time." I rasped. My chest was burning. /I can't hold this cough in anymore!/ "I'm going for that walk." With that I rushed out as fast as I could. As soon as I was out of the cave I let out a bout of coughing, struggling to breath. Suddenly I felt dizzy, then the world turned black as I flopped over, unconscious.

She raced after Mossmoth, her frustration growing. Canarysong gasped when she saw the elder laying on the ground. The medicine cat quickly grabbed her by the scruff, and dragged her to the medicine den.

Canarysong set Mossmoth down on the bed of moss kept for patients, and quickly got out some tansy and thyme. She opened Mossmoth's mouth, and made her chew it and swallow. Her breathing slowed almost immediately.

Canarysong put her ear up to Mossmoth's chest. She gasped. "Great StarClan, she has Greencough!"

{Stormfur}
Shadowberry sighed as they enter the cave they called home. "We made it!" she said.

Stormfur just nodded, and kept on hobbling to the medicine den. The pain was starting to get to him, and he needed to lie down.

"Blazestar is blinded by hatred Waspclaw. If he wants to act as he does then let him. I want you to tell Mossmoth she needs to take her medicine, she doesn't need herbs, try honey first." Viperfang said.

"Stormfur, take it easy alright?" Newt called tilting his head to the side.

"Hi, Storm-WHAT THE STARCLAN HAPPENED?!" she shrieked as she saw the state her brother was in.

He winced at his sister's tone, as he settled down alongside Mossmoth, and drooped the beehive. "I um-hit a beehive....with a stick..."

She sighed, and took a look at his paw. "You twisted it. I guess I'm going to have to straighten it out...." Canarysong turned towards Newt. "Newt, could you please go and fetch a stick? Thanks!"

{Stormfur}
"Umm, what are you going to need a stick for?" he asked, his eyes wide with alarm.

"You'll find out....." his sister said rather darkly.

I laughed lightly, "When did you become a medicine cat, Viperfang?" I joked. I felt one small drop of rain land on my ear, the clouds had gotten darker. I scooped up the rabbit underneath me, my clan mates would not thank me for bringing soaking wet prey.

{Mossmoth}
I woke up slowly, noticing I was in the medicine den. Then I remembered how i'd had a coughing fit and could not catch my breath before I passed out. My breathing was a bit better now, but my chest still felt tight with a cough that could come out any moment. My head hurt, so a put my paw to where it hurt. When I looked at the paw there was a small drop of blood on it. /I must have hit on head a bit roughly on a rock when I fell./ But that's not what worried me, the scratch was nothing. What worried me was the warmth coming off my forehead. /I think I may have a fev-/ I did not get to even finish my thought before I suddenly felt sick. It was that feeling like when feel you need to vomit but nothing well come out of your mouth. I groaned and laid down.

"Since I've had to live in my own. You learn quite a bit you once ignored. But you might want to get back to your camp, you know how rain is on the moor." she meowed smiling.

Newt left Stormfur with the medicine cat before turning to Shadowberry. "I'm going to go collect the prey we caught. You can stay here if you want." he said before heading out

As much as I did not want to leave, I knew it would be best, before the rabbit gets soaked. I nodded my head, "Yea." I grabbed the rabbit with my mouth, "I hope to see you again some other time." /Once I drop this rabbit off at camp I'll go back out to see if I can find that catmint for stubborn old Mossmoth./

"Oh, Mossmoth's woken up." she said softly. She walked over to the elder, and touched her head. It felt hot, and it was bleeding. Canarysong quickly grabbed a few cobwebs, and plastered them over Mossmoth's head.

She turned back to the store, and looked at where the catmint was. There was nothing there!!!!

Canarysong took a deep breathe, and tried to calm herself. /It's okay...it's okay...../ she reminded herself silently.

She gave Mossmoth a few poppy seeds to put her to asleep, and then went back to treating Stormfur's wounds. "Where is Newt with that stick?!" she murmured to herself.

"I'll go get the stick," she said quietly, and headed out of the medicine den.

@hay7199 {Nothing too drastic happened. Stormfur tried to hunt a bee hive and got attacked, tiwsting his paw in the process. Newt and Shadowberry recovered him from his spot. Mossmoth quite possibly has greencough, and Waspclaw and Viperfang spoke to each other.}

Viperfang nodded at Waspclaw's words. "I hope to see you soon as well." she meowed before gathering her chipmunk and walking off.

She ran swiftly out of the medicine den, grabbed a medium sized stick from outside the cave, and ran back into the medicine den. "Here you go," she growled, dropping the stick at Canarysong's feet.

{Canarysong}
Canarysong turned around to say thank you to Shadowberry, but she was no longer standing in the entry way. Shrugging, she turn towards Stormfur. "Alright, this is going to hurt a bit, so bite down on this." She gave Stormfur the stick, and he held it between his teeth.

She sighed deeply. Canarysong hated this part; but it needed to be done. "Okay, here we go....." she whispered. The medicine cat took Stormfur's paw between her paws, and violently jerked it out of the odd position it was in.

There was a loud "CRICK!"as the bone was set back in place, and the stick plintered. Her brother let out a blood-curdling scream. "Ow, ow, ow ow, ow, ow, OWWW!!!" he yelled, waving his paw around. "That hurt!"

Canarysong rolled her eyes. "Oh, you're such a kit!" she murmured. She made a poultice of comfrey, nettle, and cobwebs, all wrapped up in a dock leaf.

She quickly wrapped his paw in it.

{Stormfur}
"Awwww, that feels so much better...." he sighed, and let his sister give him some poppy seeds, before drifting off into a pleasant, dreamless sleep.

Blazestar sat in the camp, turning a rather small mouse over in his paws. Canarysong's words, though he dared not admit it out loud, truly rattled him. Something bad was happening with FlareClan, and it would only last so long in an almost prey-less Leafbare if this scarce of the creatures became any worse.

After checking to make sure both Stormfur and Mossmoth was asleep, I headed out to the medicine den to talk to Blazestar. It was pouring down now, and she could here millions of raindrops making contact with the roof of the cave.

"Blazestar," she said softly. "I need to talk to you. Ummm, alone..."

"Oh, that's what I'm worried about!" she exclaimed, and sat down beside him. "I have absolutely no catmint in my store, and it's pouring outside. If we don't get some soon....." she trailed off, unable to finish her sentence.
