@hay7199 @leafdapple769 @featherstar_stormclan{Mossmoth}I turned to the medicine cat, highly offendened, "If you think I threw up that-" I was cut off with coughing. "if you think I threw up the herbs on propose," I tried again, "your wrong. No, I don't want to die, but my time is here. Now please," I took a nicer tone, these would be some of my very last words to the medicine cat after all, "don't waste more herbs on a dieing cat. StarClan let me wake to say goodbye to my son, and thats all." with that I turned to Waspclaw, "Take me to the cave entrance." I meowed.

@emilianagerson@hay7199@leafdapple769Newt left the medicine den, growing uncomfortable with the lack of space inside of it and instead sat just outside the tunnel leading into it. He looked out of the main entrance of the cave at the rain pouring down./Such a day to have so much happen. I wonder what will happen tomorrow. What weather shall come, and what prey we will find.\ he mused as he made himself more comfortable./Let's hope Mossmoth takes her medicine and keeps it down.\ he thought. /She has so much more to strive for.\Viperfang was shoved away from the fox as it gave a viscious kick to her side and she rolled into a tree not to far off. For the longest time even this part of forest stayed relatively dry, but at this point everything was now becoming soaked as the rain thundered down in thick sheets around them.Viperfang stood up as rain soaked her pelt, plastering it to her body-although the same happened to the fox.

Tears were now starting to flow freely down Canarysong's face. {Shadowberry}Quickly deciding, she jumped out of the tree, and landed squarely on the fox's back, digging her claws in.

I was sweating like crazy, /I hate this fever./ I sat down next Waspclaw, letting a bit of the rain spray on me, cooling me down a bit.{Waspclaw}"Mossmoth...your not really dieing, right?" I meowed, looking at my foster mother. /Please don't leave me!/ Her breaths came out as sallow rasps, and I had felt her pelt burning up. /Why did no one see she was so sick sooner?/

@hay7199 @leafdapple769 @featherstar_stormclan{Mossmoth}I tilted my head up, looking at the cloudy sky just outside the den. "I am." I rasped, trying to make it sound as clear as possible, "I know I am, for my life flashed before me in my dreams. I do believe the only reason StarClan didn't take me then is because we had not said our goodbyes yet." I coughed. My paws felt weak, so I laid down, Waspclaw did the same. Waspclaw shook his head, "No no your not dieing, your just ill, your heads cloudy..." His word where choked with grief, his eyes shut tight to hold in tears that threatened to come out. I smiled, "Can I tell you a secret?" I meowed, "You where always my favorite. Even more then Whitekit." Waspclaw opened his eyes to look into mine, but he did not speak, for he was to choked up. I sighed, breathing in the cool air of the rain, and the distant scent of pines. /I'm going to miss this world. And i'm going to miss my favorite part of it, you Waspclaw./ I shut my eyes, and fell into a deep sleep. /I'll wake up just to you when your old and have lived your nine lives fully./

@hay7199 @leafdapple769 @featherstar_stormclan Should I make a new cat now that Mossmoth is dead?{Waspclaw}I felt Mossmoth's body stop breathing suddenly. "Hey, mom, wake up." I meowed, already knowing it was useless. I pushed her with my paw, "Wake up..." My voice trailed off. I let my tears come down my face freely now, I didn't care. I simply sat, chest burning from my sobbing, crying over Mossmoth's body. This is the third time I've experienced my mother dieing. The first with Grace, my kitty-pet mother, second with Midnight. Even thought Midnight was never really my foster-mother, she was like a mentor and more of a foster mom to me then Sorrel was. Now Mossmoth, and this was by far the most painful. My heart felt numb. I now had no family, no one I was particularly close to in the clan. Even though I sat in a cave full of cats, I've never felt more alone.

Wolfkit hid among the soft moss, smelling a new cat appearing and it wasn't his mother. He let out a small whimper, burrowing deeper into the moss listening to the battle going on outside, scared out of his mine.

He walked over to Waspclaw and rested his tail over the tom's shoulders."I'm sorry." he meowed.Viperfang glanced up as Shadowberry landed in the fox's back. The russet pelt of the fox started to get lightly dappled with crimson blood and Viperfang saw that it was losing strength.Attacking its face again she was kicked off as it reared up and slammed down on its back trying to knock free the she-cat clinging to his back.

@featherstar_stormclan @hay7199 @emilianagerson Mossmoth didn't make it! ☹️ ☹️{Shadowberry}Shadowberry snarled, and dug her claws in deeper. She swatted at the fox's ears, and ripped out a sizable chunk of earlobe.It howled in pain, and fought even harder to get Shadowberry off.

I could not believe she was really gone. I looked outside, "I need to go for a walk..." I muttered, stepping outside into the rain. I started to head over to the stream.

@emilianagerson @featherstar_stormclan @hay7199 {Canarysong}Canarysong took out some rosemary and mint from her store. She rolled it up in a dock leaf, and walked out of her den. No emotions were shown as she went to the cave entrance, and dragged Mossmoth into the middle of the camp.Canarysong didn't have a sad, angry, or even depressed look on her face. Her paws moved on their own as she rubbed down Mossmoth's body with the herbs. The guilt weighed too heavily on her shoulders for her to feel anything else.

@hay7199 @leafdapple769 @featherstar_stormclan{Waspclaw}I finally got to the stream and sat down, but only for a second... I smelled blood... and fox. I unsheathed my claws, /I could use a good fight./ I thought, and with that I rushed to where the scent was coming from.

@leafdapple769 Is it alright if either Stormfur or Shadowberry mentored Scarletpaw?@emilianagerson @hay7199 Viperfang rolled away from the fox as it snapped downwards at her and she watched as it shook vehemently trying to loosen Shadowberry from its shoulders.Snarling the silver and brown she-cat lunged at the fox hooking her claws into the lower part of its muzzle, near in its throat.Newt sat down at the edge of the camp and watched as Canarysong prepared Mossmoth for the regular ceremonies performed after a death.

Shadowberry started to claw at it's haunches, and bite it's legs. Angry, the fox flashed out a back paw, and scratched the side of her belly.Shadowberry let out a little gasp of pain, but continued attacking the fox, nonetheless.

@hay7199 @leafdapple769 @featherstar_stormclan{Waspclaw}I finally came to where the fox was, Viperfang and Shadowberry trying to fight it. I growled and launched myself into the fight, knocking into the foxes side and clawing viciously, fur flying and blood spraying onto my fur.{Scarletpaw}I had been resting in the apprentice den, but the sound of rain woke me. I got out of the den and headed over to the fresh kill pile taking a mouse. I noticed some cats seemed sad, then I saw the medicine cat rubbing herbs on Mossmoth. I shrugged, /I mean, I heard Mossmoth cough once or twice, but I never thought she was sick enough to die./ I looked around, wondering where Waspclaw was. I knew he would be devastated, but to me it did not really matter. In fact, some of it was a positive thing. This would mean one less cat to fed come leafbare, when we well need every bit of prey we can find. /She picked a fine time to die. Thanks Mossmoth./ I thought, purring as I ate the mouse.

@emilianagerson @leafdapple769@hay7199Viperfang fell back as Waspclaw joined in on the fight. The fox had given up fighting and was now accepting the attacks from the two warriors. Slumping down on the forest floor up against one of the trees.Deciding that now was as good a time as any Viperfang headed over to where the kit had hidden."Hey," she called out gently. "You alright?" she asked the kit as she found a small patch of fur exposed beneath a pile of moss.Newt looked over at Scarletpaw as the apprentice entered the main area of the camp. She seemed to be purring as she ate her mouse./What is up with that apprentice?\ he thought narrowing his eyes.

Shadowberry quickly shrugged it off, and darted in and out, clawing and biting the fox.She panted, side-stepping a half-hearted swipe. /I'm beggining to tire, but so is the fox. It can't possibly face this onslaught much longer..../

I just dug my claws in deeper, ripping deeper and deeper in flesh. I felt bone, I scratched at it, blocking out the pitiful whimpers of the fox.{Scarletpaw}I was enjoying my mouse when I noticed Newt looking at me with narrowed eyes. "I'm not interested, you can take your eyes off me now, thank you." I meowed, not looking up from eating my mouse.

Newt was glaring at her, and Canarysong noted that she didn't look sad or even a bit sorry that one of her Clanmates had died. Surprisingly, she had a smile on her face.Canarysong shook her head sorrowfully. /Not enough cats in this clan have good hearts.../ she thought.{Shadowberry}She stepped back, utterly shocked. Her mouth hung open in shock as Waspclaw horribly multilated the fox."Waspclaw! What the StarClan is wrong with you?!" she screamed.

I stopped ripping at the fox, taking deep breaths, I was covered in its blood. I hung my head, "I'm sorry." I meowed bluntly, not wanting to talk about Mossmoth's death. "I got carried away."{Scarletpaw}Suddenly I noticed that Canarysong, to, was looking at me. "What is it with you too?" I meowed, rolling my eyes.

I suppose if Waspclaw died, Flamepelt died, or even I died you wouldn't give a flip!" Canarysong was starting to get angry. It was a very rare event, but when it did happen, it was quiete a show to watch.{Shadowberry}Shadowberry watched the beat-up wolf run away, before speaking again."Okay," she growled, her voice low and dangerous. "I'm going to give you one more chance to tell me what's wrong with you, before I strangel the truth out of you. Got it?"

Some cats just need to get rid of some lingering anger at some long suppressed memories. Please, calm down-to both of you mind you. There's a kit we have to make sure hasn't been injured."Blazestar over-heard Scarletpaw's harsh words and approached the apprentice. "Mossmoth was a loyal warrior to the Clan and I will not tolerate this kind of beheivor near her, or in my Clan. I'll be sending you to go fetch more catmint for Canarysong, and for now you can do whatever chores she requires of you until you learn to curb your temper." he snarled before turning to Canarysong."Are you alright?" he asked resting his tail over the medicine cat's shoulders.

I-I wouldn't be surprised if Waspclaw blames me for her dying...."Canarysong immediately felt better after confiding in Blazestar, but the guilt hadn't even begun to leave her.{Shadowberry}Forcing herself to calm down, she sat down, and smoothed her fur. "I'm sorry. I can just tell something's wrong, and I'm irritated you won't tell me what it is." she meowed, and walked over to where Viperfang was standing.

I paused, then in a mischievous tone I added, "Maybe you should learn to be more respectful of my disrespectful comments." I purred.
