Kita glared at him."Someone like you?" She hissed, sensing his intentions. "James has stood by me no matter what... and you... I can never really tell if you have my back or if you'll stab me in the back. James has defended me, even when I probably deserved what was coming for me. He's saved my life more times than I can count. He saw the good in me when I'd been written off by everyone else as a delinquent... If anything it's..."She sighed, unclenching her fists."It's me who doesn't deserve him..."She backed down."He's done everything for me... and he lost everything because of it... his parents disowned him... he was kicked out of school... he got involved with a gang... he was thrown in jail... all because of me..." she said. "No wonder he's been so angry lately... I've ruined everything for him... I'm just surprised it took this long..."

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan sighed. He cleared his throat. He sighed again. The young man reached between his legs, pulling the duffel bag out from under his seat. The sound of the zipper being pulled aside emitted clearly from the pack. His hands felt around inside for a bit, before he pulled a handgun out. He checked if it was loaded, and then picked at the safety of the weapon."I don't like you if that's what you're wondering." He said harshly. "You're not my type of woman." Vladan put the gun on the glass table, and pushed it towards Kita."For you." The man mumbled. He went quiet for a bit after that, as he reached into the bag again. Another gun was in his hand in seconds. This one was out of ammo, and Vladan felt around the bag in search of a package of bullets.
dada_dragon • 5 December 2016 at 5:01 PM
Kita held the weapon carefully, ensuring the safety was on for the time being. It had been forever since she'd held one... she still knew what she was doing, but it was a reminder of what she once was..."I'm not your type..." she mumbled to herself, then let out a short laugh. "And here I was, thinking I'd lost the abrasive, sarcastic Vladan that I used to know... Glad to have you back..."She sat in silence for the rest of the flight, allowing herself to doze off, her body finally giving in to her exhaustion, and awoke to the pilot announcing that they were about to land.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 5 December 2016 at 5:28 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~He tried to keep a straight face. He really did, but Kita's words put a small smile on his otherwise stony demeanor. Vladan loaded the gun with a noisy click, before tucking it away in his belt. Sleep couldn't find him for the rest of the flight, and he instead spent his time preparing himself for battle. He took in a heavy breath, and his constant glances out the window didn't make him feel any better. Snow and hail battered angrily against the windows. Vladan stood up, motioning for Kita to follow behind. The pilot had landed in a large clearing in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. However, there were several normal-looking vehicles littered around the plot of land. The second he stepped out of the plane, the cold hit him. The freezing wind stung angrily against his face, and he pulled his hood tighter over his face. He found it difficult to place one foot in front of another, and shoved his way forwards through the heavy snow.He opened the car's door, hurried inside, then shut it tightly. Stray snowflakes fluttered around inside the vehicle, and he ignored them as he waited for Kita to get in besides him. Though it was still a bit cold inside the car, it wasn't freezing. There was a pack in the back seat, and he pulled it on his lap to search through it. He wondered silently who the bag belonged to, before simply just pushing it aside and blowing into his hands for warmth. There was an extra set of keys in the glove compartment, and it took a few tries but the car started up. He turned on the heat, and warmth soon flooded the vehicle."Do you know what we're going to do?"
dada_dragon • 5 December 2016 at 5:50 PM
Kita looked down at her weapon, pulling her jacket tighter around her, despite the steadily increasing heat of the vehicle."We're... breaking in, I assume." She said, wrapping her hand around the weapon. It was a familiar feeling... one she preferred to forget, despite its necessity..."Whatever the plan, I've managed to extend my mimic ability to ten minutes instead of three... and the range of my sensory ability has doubled..." she said. "Ever since the fight in that warehouse... I've been trying to become stronger... So I won't ever be captured again..."She sighed."So... what is the plan?"@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 6 December 2016 at 2:38 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Not breaking." Vladan corrected. "We aren't going to break in--no where near that. That task would be nearly impossible." He cleared his throat, then closed his eyes to enjoy the heat circulating in the car. "It looks like it's been quiet a bit since they've been back here at uh... their makeshift headquarters. Everything seems... left behind. As if they were about to come back but never made it."He glanced at Kita, and his next words held a commanding tone to them."We wait here until it gets darker. Later on, there should be a couple of soldiers patrolling around a mile or so into the dense jungle. I'm going to disable and bring them back here. We're going to take their uniform and try to make it into the building under the pretense that we are one of them.""I'm going to need you to listen very carefully..." He trailed off, and glowered at Kita."No matter what, you will let me do the talking unless you know that you absolutely HAVE TO say something. Regardless, little to nobody here will speak english so what you say will hold no power here anyway."
dada_dragon • 6 December 2016 at 3:39 AM
"Of course..." she said. Running in recklessly... that might've worked against small-time gangs back in the city, but here... This was an entirely different league... The rules here were different... The danger was far more real...Part of her was excited... but there was also a very real fear settling in the pit of her stomach... She could die here...But for James... she had to risk everything...She sat quietly, staring out the window, the severity of the situation kicking in...@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 6 December 2016 at 2:56 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan scooted his seat back so he would have more space for moving around in the vehicle. He fidgeted around impatiently. The small enclosure of the car did nothing to stutter his growing energy. It was probably a little over half an hour until he decided he was tired of waiting. The car provided good warmth, but did nothing for moving forwards as the snow piled on made it impossible for the vehicle to move forwards."I'm heading out." He said. "I'll be back soon, just going to scope the area out for a bit." Vladan opened the door without waiting for Kita's reply, before stepping out and heading towards the woods. "Stay here."He walked forwards for a long while, and saw that the sun was beginning to start it's descent in the distance. The trees offered unnecessary shade, and what little sunlight managed to slip through the heavy crowds struggled to tough the forest floor. It had been quiet some time since he had traveled in weather like this. The young man kept to the trees, keeping a watchful eye out for anybody out there. Two loud clicks caught his attention, and he turned right in time to face a uniformed duo. He muttered a curse word under his breath, and raised his hands slowly as a stream of russian words entered his ears. Vladan managed to make them out as "Who are you?" and "What are you doing here?""I'm lost." He replied in what russian he knew. Though he wasn't great at speaking it, he knew how to understand it well."The nearest city isn't for thousands of miles." One of the men barked out. He barely made out his partner's words, but one certainly did catch his attention."That's an American accent. Check if he has weapons.""Get down." One of the men shouldered their weapon and headed over to where Vladan knelt in the freezing snow. "Take off your coat." His eyes darted between the two men, and the one that had put away his weapon was motioning for him to strip. Vladan reached to slowly pull off his coat, and he let one of his pistols slip from the outerwear and fall into the snow. The dark metal stood out significantly against the white ground, and the man with the gun knelt to pick it up.Vladan decided to make his move now. He tackled the unarmed man to the ground, and pulled his second gun from his belt. There was a loud bang. Something whizzed by his head and a crack resounded as pieces of wood shattered from the bullet entering the tree. Vladan's arm was being clawed as the man struggled to escape, but the guy stilled when he felt cold metal against his head."Don't move." He shouted in russian. "You move and your partner dies." The hostage was whimpering slightly, and Vladan could see the fear in his eyes. Throughout the ordeal, the other man had managed to get up and aim his gun at Vladan. "You shoot him and I shoot you." Were the returning words.Vladan knew he was in a precarious situation, and one wrong move could send his brains splattering against the trees. He sure wished Kita was there. Maybe he had been out long enough for her to go looking... then again he made it clear that she stay put. But perhaps she heard the gunshot? He wasn't that far away from the car.
dada_dragon • 6 December 2016 at 6:02 PM
Kita was nearly asleep again when she heard the gunshot. Suddenly very awake, she unlatched the door, bolting towards the sound. She stopped as she heard voices, speaking Russian. She couldn't understand a word of it, but the voices were hostile...Trying to make as little noise as possible, she creeped closer, finally spotting Vladan holding a guard hostage, with another guard pointing his gun at Vladan. Neither of the guards had abilities for her to mimic, and Vladan was too far away, so..."Hey you! Over here!" She yelled, jumping out.The guard turned towards her, confused, and she silently hoped Vladan would get him before he thought to shoot.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 1:12 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan was almost as unprepared as the soldier when Kita appeared out from through the trees. He had a split second to decide what to do, and in that short span of time, he made his choice.Vladan pulled the trigger. The man slumped against his body, and blood trickled down his clothes. He pushed the dead man off of him, and darted over to the other soldier. The other man had spun away from Kita to face Vladan when he heard the gun shot, but by then Vladan was face to face with him.He pounced on the man, sending them both onto the ground. Vladan could feel snow getting through his clothes and onto his bare skin. The tiny flakes felt like tiny needles pricking at his body, but he forced himself to focus back on the task at hand.Vladan pushed down onto the man's rifle, which he was holding horizontally over his face. The young man's hand slipped, and the soldier used this chance to send the butt of the rifle at Vladan's face. He couldn't duck in time, and the butt stroke sent him reeling. The soldier tried standing up, but Vladan grabbed the man's wrist in an attempt to pull him down. There was a loud bang, and a bullet whizzed by Vladan's face. The soldier lost his balance, and Vladan ripped the gun from his opponent's fallen form. Realizing that he had lost the upper hand, the man turned to run away. The soldier was screaming for backup in strained russian, and Vladan realized that the man was calling out for help. He pulled the trigger, and the man cried out in pain as a bullet made it's way into one of his legs. The soldier dropped to the ground--his cries for help turning into cries of pain."I'll send another one into your head if you say one more word." Vladan forced out , his heavy russian and heaving breaths echoing noisily against the thin trees.
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 1:47 AM
Kita ran up beside Vladan."Sorry." She hurriedly apologized. "I'm sure that could've gone better, but it was the first thing I could think of."She looked down at the man. He was pretty young... In the wrong place at the wrong time... Much like most of her gang... Maybe she was too soft... but..."We can tie him up in the car... I think I saw some rope in the back seat... at least then he won't freeze to death..." she said, pulling off her scarf and reaching for the man's leg. He flinched away, but she raised her hands in a gesture of peace."I want to help." She said, gesturing towards his wounded leg. He seemed to understand this, and allowed her to approach him, though he watched her apprehensively. She used the scarf as a makeshift bandage, tightening it to slow the bleeding. James could have done better, but it would work for the time being...The young man mumbled something in Russian that she didn't understand, but he didn't sound angry, so she gave him a sympathetic smile. She then turned to Vladan."I'll help him walk to the car... you can keep your weapon on him if it makes you feel better..." she said, knowing he likely didn't approve of her suggesting that they go out of their way to keep an enemy alive, but she didn't care. "I'm sure his clothes will fit you."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 3:24 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"I don't think that's a good idea." He muttered distastefully. "If he gets away, I die. You die. James probably dies."His face held a look of utter disgust at Kita's kindness. He handed the rifle to Kita, before picking up the deceased soldier's gun and giving it to her as well. Vladan didn't hesitate when he hefted the dead man's body and threw it over his shoulder. The young man headed over to the wounded soldier, before getting up in his face."Vam ochen' povezlo, chto zhenshchiny zdes'." Vladan growled. He threw the body down at the soldier's feet and gestured at it with his gun. The soldier glanced from Kita to Vladan, unsure as to what to do."He's carrying the body." Vladan said. He made to run his hand through his hair, but stopped and winced when he touched the place he had been hit. "I don't care about his leg." He said irritably... Perhaps maybe even with a hint of jealousy. "You seemed to have treated it well enough." Vladan bit his lip, before pushing past Kita and heading into the forest."Why don't you bake him some cookies and drive him home while you're at it." He called over his soldier as he trudged through the snow.
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 8:20 AM
Kita frowned, taking the gun."Look, he's young... He doesn't know any better..." she said, avoiding eye contact with the kid as they walked. "He just does as he's told... I know you don't get that, being the one who orders people around, but I... Look, I do."She was being irrational, she knew she was... but she couldn't help it... He just looked scared and unsure of what to do... He was complying with Vladan's orders, despite looking absolutely mortified at his request.... And she'd seen the way he pleaded with her with his eyes..."I understand the position we're in... I get it... but..."She trailed off. She truly wasn't prepared for this kind of world... This was so far beyond the streets and the rules of her old life... How could she argue with Vladan, who seemed to know exactly what he was getting into? She was deadly quiet the rest of the trek.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 12:45 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan finally spoke when they got back to the car."Do you think that our enemy would give you the same treatment you're giving him?" He turned to give Kita an incredulous look. "He would have killed you in a heartbeat." Dusk was falling, and the dark skimmed the trees as they gradually took hold of their surroundings."You realize that saving him would be futile." He added bluntly. "Let's say we leave him tied up here. If he escapes, he warns his friends and we have hundreds of soldiers searching for two people that stand out.""If we leave him here, he'll eventually starve or freeze to death. Who knows how long we'll be gone?"
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 3:44 PM
Kita didn't answer him, opening the car door and grabbing the rope. Making sure Vladan still had his gun, she gestured for him to turn around while she bound him, a skill she had mastered long ago... it definitely wouldn't be comfortable, but it was a significant improvement over Vladan's alternative...The poor kid was shaking... she couldn't help but recall her time tied up in the warehouse... unable to escape... no way to call for help...Three years ago, she wouldn't have even blinked... she wouldn't have been the one to kill him, certainly, but she would never have protested if someone had suggested the idea...She pointed her own weapon at him and looked over at Vladan."Check the knots. Do what you need to."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 4:15 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~As opposed to Kita's gentle treatment, Vladan acted just as cruel as she did kindly. He grabbed the back of the man's collar, before shoving him against the side of the car."I'm not as kind as she is." Vladan mumbled threateningly into the shivering soldier's ear. "You run, you die. You scream, you die. You disobey me... You die." He placed the gun against the man's neck, and Vladan could feel the guy shaking... Whether it be from fear or cold. The soldier nodded quickly, and Vladan tucked the weapon away into his belt. He stepped back, and the soldier turned to face Vladan."Look at me." Vladan commanded as he grabbed the front of the soldier's uniform. The helpless man fearfully met Vladan's gaze.Immediately, he felt a stream of words, emotions and senses enter his mind.Fear... The most apparent.Anger... Helplessness...They were difficult to understand, considering how Russian wasn't Vladan's first language, but he managed to make out the jist of it."Where is the base and how do I get in?" The soldier turned away, sensing that something was off. Vladan used his free hand to force the man to look him in the eye."Don't make me repeat myself." He said lowly. The soldier whimpered, but before he could open his mouth, Vladan pushed the man onto the ground."That's all I needed to know." He said, having read the man's mind."A half dozen miles away from here." Vladan said to Kita. "A fenced off base with few entries, and all guarded heavily. We have an hour to get back, that's when our..." He trailed off. "Shift ends." Vladan began stripping the deceased man, as well as himself."I'll take the uniform from off the dead man's back, you can take his." He motioned at the soldier cowering nearby.
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 4:32 PM
Kita kept her gun on the man, and gestured for him to turn around. As soon as his back was to her, she slammed the butt of her gun into the back of his head, knocking him out cold. It was probably better that he be unconscious... it might save him from Vladan...She pulled off his jacket, replacing it with her own. It was a bit feminine and looked ridiculous on him, but they were about the same size, so it worked at least. She traded the rest of their clothing... a bit uncomfortable with Vladan standing nearby... and pulled her hair into a tight bun, tucking her hair into the hat.She picked him up and lay him in the back seat of the vehicle under an emergency blanket that she pulled out of a kit under the front seat. Vladan probably wouldn't approve, but she didn't care. She closed the door, and leaned on the car, waiting for Vladan, still avoiding eye contact.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 5:06 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~The snow stung, but Vladan ignored it. He took his hands out from underneath the snow, having washed the blood off his skin. Vladan pulled on the guard's gloves, and rubbed his hands together in an attempt to warm them up. He pulled up the mask over his mouth, then proceeded to put the hat on. He looked up to see that Kita was ready, and he hefted the rifle over his shoulder."Let's get going." His words were muffled slightly by the cloth, and he motioned towards the forest for Kita to follow besides him. He walked briskly, and his watchful eyes moved quickly around their surroundings. He was glad that it was cold--it helped to motivate him to continue forwards as quickly as he did.
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 5:49 PM
Kita pulled the mask over her face as well and followed Vladan. The tension between them had intensified... She liked to think that she didn't care, but it was uncomfortable...He was right... She was too soft for this... But she'd dragged Vladan into this mess... She wasn't going to quit now...After walking for a while, she spotted the base. Glancing over at Vladan, she watched his movements. She had no idea what she was doing. Hopefully he did.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 6:59 PM
@dada_dragon~~~There was a long path cleared of snow leading from the forest out towards the base. The trees have thinned significantly now, and path felt strange considering how long they had been journeying through the snow. Spotlights travelled across the surroundings of the base, and even Vladan felt his breath catch in his throat. A pair of soldiers were heading straight towards him and Kita, but they passed by without suspicion. He forced himself to breath as they neared the barbed wire fences."You two are late." One of the men growled in thick russian. "The next watch already left--What kept you?" Vladan's struggled for an excuse, but nothing came to mind. The other guard noticed his hesitation, and pushed onwards suspiciously. "Well?" "Lost." He said gruffly in an attempt to cover his accent. "We're new." Vladan tried speaking as little as possible. The guard seemed to buy into it, and muttered something about how they needed to train smarter soldiers, before letting them pass.Once past the initial entrance, there was another long path that led to a cluster of buildings. Uniformed soldiers rushed around, completing their duties and shouting orders.
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 7:51 PM
Kita didn't dare try to communicate with Vladan. She had no way of knowing what was happening... she couldn't understand anything that was being said around her, but she looked straight ahead, doing her best to look like she belonged. She assumed that James would be kept in some kind of medical wing or something like that... all of the directional signs were in Russian though, so she had no idea if they were going in the right direction... she would have to trust Vladan...She raised her sensory power to scan the crowds for any enabled that she could mimic... There was someone with water-based abilities leaning up against a wall... someone with an unknown ability pushing a cart down the hall... someone with a sensory ability of some kind in a room to her right... and...She grabbed Vladan's arm. She could sense James, barely within her range, down a hallway to their left.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 7 December 2016 at 10:21 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan nearly pulled out his weapon when Kita grabbed his arm. He shook her off angrily before glancing around the hall. A squadron of soldiers turned the corner, and Vladan stepped aside to let them through the hallway."Kita..." He hissed warningly. Vladan tilted his head a bit to the right, attempting to signal to her that they were being watched by the cameras planted around the building. The young man pushed forwards. One of the signs pointed downstairs, and he could make it out to say "Bunkers".He headed down the stairs, making eye contact and nodding to soldiers he passed by. The rooms were pretty large, but devoid of furniture. Each large area had several metal bunk beds covered with a thin mattress and an even thinner blanket. There was a soldier taking a nap on one of the beds, and another holding a picture of what seemed to be his wife or girlfriend. A third and a fourth were making small talk while playing cards.Vladan headed over to the corner of the room, and the bunk creaked noisily when he sat down on it. The other soldiers glanced over, but returned back to what they were doing. He motioned for Kita to sit across from him. The young man rifled through the bag sitting on the end of the bed, before shuffling and dealing a set of cards to himself and Kita."We can't go into the medical wing if we don't have any injuries." Vladan mumbled as he flipped over his deck of cards. He took off the hat, but kept the cloth over the bottom half of his face."It's late as well, and we don't know which bunker we belong in either." He whispered.
dada_dragon • 7 December 2016 at 11:00 PM
Kita nodded, trying to focus on the game, but her mind was elsewhere. She used her sensory ability to track James. He moved in and out of her range and she would tense up whenever his energy disappeared. She wished she could just go... but Vladan was right...There was another nagging presence too... the sensory-type enabled was still nearby... not in the room with them, but nearby... they moved occasionally, but never moved too far from them... it could be a coincidence, but with how on-edge she already was, it was unnerving to say the least."Sensory" covered a lot of powers, but they usually involved some kind of detection ability... it could be something ambiguous like heat detection or enhanced hearing, but something like mind reading or even something like her own power could mean trouble...Whatever it was, they were actively using their power, which was not uncommon for a sensory enabled... most sensory powers were like a sixth sense that was always on, but still...@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 12:21 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Straight flush." Vladan said in surprise as he placed the cards down. Perhaps this was a sign that lady luck was by his side. He had seen another pair of russian soldiers enter the room halfway through their card game, and saw that they were playing a makeshift game of darts with several pocket knives and a wooden board. An idea crossed his mind."Do you remember the first day we met when I was cutting myself with the knife but had no reaction?" He said quickly. "In case you haven't figured it out yet, I can't feel pain from most things." He piled the cards up, before reaching over to Kita as if to hand her the deck."Mimic me." He said under his breath. "We're going to play a game of knife darts with the others, and you're going to get sent to the medical wing." Vladan explained himself before Kita could protest. "I can't do it. They would recognize my face anywhere.""It has to be you."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 12:41 AM
Kita nodded, grabbing Vladan's arm, focusing on copying his power... Passive abilities like Vladan's apparent pain resistance were more difficult to detect (which explained why she hadn't noticed it before) but she found it... Immediately she felt a numbness that made her shift uncomfortably... Not all powers were pleasant..."I can't do too much damage..." she whispered. "I only have your ability for ten minutes. After that, I feel everything. How do you propose I hurt myself?"@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 12:59 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"They're playing knives over there." He whispered. "We can join in, just get in the way when it's my turn." He muttered as he stood. "Pretend to retrieve them or something else." Vladan suggested.Vladan nodded over towards where the two soldiers were playing their makeshift game of 'darts'. He called out to them, asking if they had space for two more. They agreed, and moved aside for Vladan to take his place. The shorter one went over and pulled the knives from off the board. He was almost caught off guard when she spoke. Vladan had thought the soldier was a man due to her buzz cut."You two new here?" She said. "What's your name?""Yes." He said, though he ignored her second question. "Name?" She repeated.Vladan shrugged, hoping that the game would distract her from further questioning. He tossed one of the 3 blades into the air, testing the weight of the weapon. Without word, he threw it towards the board. There was a loud thud as the blade embedded itself in the center of the wood. The woman and the other player seemed impressed, and had forgotten the earlier subject. "That's very good aim." The man praised. He threw the second blade, and it landed in the center again. The first knife shivered from the close proximity of it's partner. Vladan glanced over at Kita, hoping she was ready."Thank you." Vladan said. "I've had many lessons on knife throwing.""Is that a new addition to training? We didn't have to do that." The woman said.
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 1:07 AM
Kita let the first two blades hit. She was fairly impressed with his throwing. She took her chance when he turned to talk to one of the soldiers, going to retrieve the knives under the pretence that she thought he was done his turn. She was nervous, despite knowing that it wouldn't hurt. She did enjoy a good adrenaline rush, but this was downright deadly...@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 1:17 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Oh yeah uh..." Vladan faltered, then attempted to change the subject. "I practiced often by myself." He could see Kita getting into place out of the corner of his eyes and... "It's been a while since I've played with throwing knives, let's see if I can land the third one in.""Wait!" The man cried out.The distraction caused Vladan to hesitate and rethink his plan.He knew that she wouldn't feel the pain but... Vladan wondered if that was really the case. Her mimicry oftentimes didn't give the full extent of powers and who knew if it would this time. Vladan shook off his doubts. His breath caught in his throat when the blade flew out of his hands. Vladan didn't know why, but his heart was beating heavily and his blood was rushing in his ears. He had made sure to not use his full strength, but put enough power into it so that it could hit his target.Vladan tried to not aim at any vital areas like her neck or head or spine but... The man had grabbed Vladan's arm in an attempt to stop him, but it was too late.
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 1:37 AM
Kita was just pulling out the second knife when she felt the third one hit. At first, there was just a feeling of dread and breath-catching shock, but then she fell over as a wave of mind-numbing pain hit her like a brick wall...She stared down at her arm... her left arm... the arm that could not utilize any ability... in absolute shock...She was only vaguely aware of the voices around her... The scrambling for help... the weight of the knife... everything was a blur. She felt her head spinning and her heart pounding violently in her chest as panic set in...And then, nothing at all.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 1:54 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan stared in shock as Kita fell to the floor. He never realized how good of an actress she was. He almost forgot to breath, until he remembered Kita had her mimicry powers. He darted over to Kita, and moved to help her up until he realized that she wasn't moving...The female soldier rushed over to Kita as well, and Vladan noted that she was screaming angrily at him. "What?" He said in confusion. Through his panic, confusion and could it be guilt..? Through all those emotions, his brain couldn't work quickly enough to translate what she was saying."That wasn't supposed to happen!" He blurted out. The soldiers around the room had wandered over towards them at all the ruckus, and a couple of them raised brows at the gibberish that Vladan sounded like he was saying. "I mean..."Vladan moved to help Kita, but one of the soldiers grabbed his arm. He could feel the dark cloth covering his face being pulled down, and Vladan elbowed the man out of the way. "Don't touch me!"One of the soldiers came to a solid conclusion. "Spy!" The soldier yelled to his allies. "Assassin!""No no no." Vladan said. He forced himself to focus, but his hesitation only raised more suspicious eyebrows. The young man took a breather, before speaking in his heavily american-accented russian."We need to get her help." He said as he forced Kita up and picked her up. "It was an accident, a game!" "You saw her there and still let the blade go. I saw your hesitation.""I didn't hesitate." Vladan protested.
