James turned as he heard yelling from down the hall. He didn't understand the words, but it sounded urgent. He jumped to his feet as a female soldier was brought in, unconscious with a knife stuck in her arm. He barely had time to register what was going on before he recognized the "soldier's" face...Shaking himself out of his stupor, he ushered the man carrying her over, gesturing to an empty bed. Taking a deep breath, he removed the knife, using his powers to patch up the muscle and bone as he did.He worked slowly, not wanting to miss anything. What was she doing here? What had happened? As he closed up the wound, he held her wrist, checking to make sure he'd done a good job. Her skin felt rough and textured beneath the tattoo she'd told him about... That wasn't right... He held it to the light to take a closer look...In the light, he could see the raised scars... they were like burn scars, but the weblike pattern was all wrong for a heat burn...These were old scars too... at least a month or two...What on earth...?@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan could feel himself nodding in and out of consciousness. The floor was speeding quickly by under his body, but he certainly wasn't the one doing the moving. The uniform cut into his neck as he was dragged away by the back of the collar. He tried struggling, but realized that his wrists had been tied together behind his back.He tried yelling out to the soldiers surrounding him, but another hit of the rifle butt sent him cowering for a second... Until his pride got the best of him."You guys are a bunch of backwater russian apes!" He called out angrily. "I'll kill you all." Vladan glowered. "You don't know who I am."One of the soldiers broke the silence, and tossed Vladan against the wall. "You americans know no class." He insulted. Vladan could barely understand the words through the heavy russian accent, and they only angered Vladan further. The young man elbowed the soldier in the face. The soldier reeled backwards and fell to the ground, and Vladan managed to give a few heavy stomps onto the man's ribcage until he was beat back.Vladan was shoved against the wall, and he came face to face with the woman that had only earlier complimented his throwing skills. She sent a fist flying at his stomach, and he coughed up blood at the hit. The dark liquid splattered across the white linoleum floor. He had never felt this degraded his entire life, being held back while a woman beat him up. Before she could land another hit, another group of soldiers came by, complaining about the ruckus. One of the men's eyes lit up when he recognized Vladan's face, and he began to speak excitedly. He stepped forwards and attempted to knee a nearby soldier in the stomach, but the familiar feeling of a rifle butt cracking onto his head sent him onto the floor.Darkness overtook him once again.

James glanced over at Kita's sleeping form for about the millionth time. He was helping the previously comatose patient eat his breakfast... She had still not woken up, but it was probably fine... She just needed her rest...If she was here, Vladan couldn't be far... She had no means of coming here on her own...He had further examined her arm, and had found that the nerves of her arm were severely damaged, and she must have received medical treatment or something for it... probably at the hospital..."Is she a friend of yours?"He turned to look back at the patient. He was looking at Kita with interest... James couldn't help but think that their was a look of recognition there, but that was impossible..."My girlfriend..." he said quietly. The man smiled. "She is lovely. Does this mean your friends will save you?""I hope so."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan woke up sore. His eyes were heavy, and it took him a few tries to finally force them open. His hair felt oily, and the thick strands stuck to his face. Vladan attempted to push them out of his face, but realized that his hands were handcuffed together in front of him. He took a look around the room. There were splotches of dried blood across the wall and ground, and Vladan was unsure if it belonged to him or somebody else. Other than that, there was nothing else inside the tiny cell. The floor was cold, and he shivered angrily. Vladan used his legs to push himself up against the wall, before then using the wall to stand up. His attempt proved futile when his legs gave way. Vladan took a minute to recover, before repeating the process. This time he was successful. He placed his heads on the metal bars, enjoying the cool touch against his face. He closed his eyes and replayed everything that happened since they had gotten off the plane. The 2 russian soldiers... Sneaking into the base... The game of knife darts... Kita... "What went wrong Kita?" He mumbled under his breath. Vladan knew he shouldn't have thrown the blade. His heart tightened, and he cleared his throat to rid of it. He sighed, but nothing could get rid of the feeling of impending doom.He seemed to be alone in captivity, and he sat down in the corner of the room. Dread piled on with every passing second, but he forced himself to stay calm and think.Kita had successfully been taken to the medical wing no doubt. Though Vladan blew his cover, it seemed to have only strengthened hers.He wish there was some way to contact her, or maybe at least a guard to insult. The silence was going to drive him mad.

"I'm feeling much better, but it's a real pain not being able to do things on my own."James was sitting with the patient again, who he learned was named Andrew. He had been assigned to care for him for the most part, leaving his side to heal a wounded soldier every now and then."Yeah, I'd imagine so..." James replied, glancing at Kita."We could always sit over there, if you'd like." Andrew said, smiling. "The guards here don't care two licks... The sick and injured don't exactly run for it that often, so they get lazy..."James nodded, helping Andrew limp over to the chairs by Kita's bed. Andrew eyed her curiously. "Wonder how she got all the way over here...""Vietkov." James said simply. It had to be...Andrew laughed. "I take it that you two don't get along."Andrew reached down to brush the hair out of her face, his shaky hands resting on her temple briefly."She's so lucky to have a man like y-"Suddenly, Andrew stopped, shaking violently. He fell forward off his seat.James jumped up, moving medical equipment out of the way so he wouldn't harm himself. Suddenly, he lay very still."Andrew! Can you hear me?"He was still breathing, still had a pulse... but no response...He moved him back to his bed, checking him over, but nothing seemed wrong... he was just... out...The silence was deafening.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 2:08 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~He didn't realize that he had fallen asleep until he opened his eyes. It took him a second to regain his composure, and his wrists hurt badly from the cuffs. He sighed, before closing his eyes again. Right when sleep was about to take him, he could hear a door sliding open. Heavy footsteps resounded from somewhere down the hall. Vladan scrambled to his feet, blood rushing in preparation for what was going to happen next."Vladan Veitkov." He found himself face to face with several soldiers. There were five of them, and Vladan scoffed at the number. The one in the front spoke again."The commander would like to see you."He arched a brow at the perfect english, smirking at the thought of them putting "Bilingual" on the job form.Vladan remained silent as they unlocked the cell. They flanked him immediately but Vladan didn't complain. A soldier had removed his hand cuffs, and he rubbed the pink skin around his wrists. His satisfaction was short lived when he felt a gun jabbing into his back."You try escaping and you will die.""I know I'm too valuable for that to be true." He said arrogantly. The only response was a shove forwards.Vladan began walking.
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 3:29 PM
About an hour later, Andrew had not woken up. One of the other "doctors" in the medical wing had informed him that it was much like the last time he'd gone into a coma, so he was likely not going to wake anytime soon. It was depressing to say the least."James..."A voice behind him made him jump. He turned around, and was startled to see that Kita was sitting up. She was rubbing her arm absentmindedly, stretching her shoulders and back.He ran up to her, hugging her tightly. She didn't respond at first, but eventually wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly."What are you doing here?" He asked quietly. She didn't immediately answer, a strange look crossing her face, like she didn't quite know, but then. "We came to get you."She was obviously still not quite awake... She seemed disoriented..."Get some rest... We'll talk after."She nodded, laying back down and dozing off.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 4:02 PM
@dada_dragon~~~Vladan was not having a fun time. He was disoriented, tired and sore all over. Half of the time, he couldn't figure out whether the blood was his or somebody else's."I thought I warned you." The commander said. The floor hurt his knees, but every time he tried to stand, he would be knocked back onto the floor by the soldier behind him."Do you remember what I said over the phone?""W-what?" He faltered slightly as he struggled to remember. "These men belong to us now. Should you attempt to retrieve them..."Vladan could still hear James' cries of pain over the phone."If you or your men are seen anywhere near us, there won't be anything to rescue.""You disgust me, Sochuv." Vladan spat out through heaving breaths. He wasn't prepared for the slap across the face."You call me 'Sir' from now on, boy." Sochuv said threateningly. "Now let me show you what you've started. Maybe your men can finally see you for the waste of space you have always been."Vladan could feel him being pushed to his feet, but lost his balance and fell over."Stand up, fool." Sochuv commanded.Vladan tried. He really did, but found himself toppling over once again. The man was forced to his feet, and managed to take several steps forward before falling. The commander seemed to take his struggling as entertainment, and Vladan could hear the low chuckling."The poor boy can't even stand." Sochuv motioned at one of the soldiers. "Let's show his men what's become of their glorious boss."He found himself stumbling down the halls, and was glad that he was being taken somewhere nearby. The medical wing...? It was certainly the smell of a hospital. His eyes darted around the room, and he recognized a familiar form. James? He looked at the cot besides the healer and recognized Kita.Vladan found himself being shoved on the ground. There was more yelling as the double doors were pushed open once again.Three enabled were forced onto the floor. Three enabled that Vladan recognized as his own. The injured soldiers in the room seemed confused at all the racket, but Vladan had a good idea of what was going to happen next. A pair of soldiers went over and grabbed James."I keep my word." Sochuv said cruelly. "Which one do you want to see get broken first?" He paused, but Vladan didn't reply. "Looks like I'm going to be doing the picking for you. How about the healer we already had Round 1 over the phone with you?"Vladan grit his teeth. He wouldn't mind if James was mistreated. He wouldn't mind if James got hurt or even died. The thought of letting it happen certainly did cross his mind but... He knew Kita would mind even if he definitely didn't."No." Vladan blurted out. "Have-" He hesitated. "Have your way with me instead."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 4:34 PM
James tensed as he was grabbed. Kita sat up, never really having fallen asleep in the first place. She didn't really react, but perhaps she didn't want to blow her own cover...Vladan's outburst surprised James. He didn't seem like the kind of person to stick his neck out for someone, especially since he seemed to openly detest James..."Vietkov... don't." He said. "You've got it bad enough... Don't-"He grunted painfully as he was shoved to his knees. The soldiers said something to their boss and they appeared to be asking for their orders.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 4:55 PM
@dada_dragon~~~"Don't make it harder than it already is." Vladan said through grit teeth. He could sense Sochuv standing behind him, and he felt the man's hand pat his cheek."What a good boy." The commander said. "You heard him." The man motioned over to the soldier's to hold him down, and Vladan held his breath in preparation for what was going to happen next. The first punch hurt. After the second, he stopped counting. Even through this treatment, he refused to give Sochuv the satisfaction of him crying out in pain or begging to be released. One of the enabled had looked away, but the other two were staring with grimaced faces. After what seemed like forever, he was let go."I'm in charge now." Sochuv taunted. He motioned for the soldiers to release Vladan's men. "You better stop thinking of him as your superior, or you'll end up getting the same treatment."The extra soldiers exited the room, until only Sochuv, Vladan, the wounded, and James was left."Healer, take care of him. I'm not done with him yet." Sochuv motioned the guards over. "Make sure he doesn't try anything or you two die along with him."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 5:15 PM
James helped Vladan over to a chair and immediately went to work at healing Vladan. It wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it certainly wasn't good."Those guards don't speak English." he said. "Just make it seem like I'm asking you questions about your pain level... whether you can bend your arm... y'know... medical stuff..."Kita was looking at Vladan. He expected concern, but she just had the same odd expression as before. He didn't know what was up with her... perhaps she had a concussion or something from hitting the floor... He would have to check later."We need to get out of here..." he said, gesturing to Vladan to take off his shirt so he could heal his back and chest. He was working slowly to prolong the time that Vladan would be with them. "The sooner the better. If we wait too long, Kita will get caught when they realize she doesn't speak Russian, and you'll be killed..."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 6:22 PM
@dada_dragon~~~Vladan reached to take off the shirt. It was sweaty, matted and disgusting. He had to peel it off section by section. "Okay." Vladan said compliantly. He didn't have the energy to give any long response--the man was absolutely exhausted. "I don't think we can get out. Not yet." Vladan mumbled as he flexed his arm. He turned around to let James fix his back. "How does it look?" He questioned. The guards were watching him stonily, and Vladan rolled his eyes."Where did the other one go?" He asked, referring to one of his missing men. "You came here with 4. Why did Sochuv only bring 3?"
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 6:55 PM
James sighed. "He's in a cell somewhere for mouthing off Sochuv. At least that's what I heard. I don't know for sure if that's the truth."He placed his hands on Vladan's back, assessing the damage."It could be worse... Nothing's broken, which is lucky. There's a small fracture in one of your ribs, but I can repair that... Most of it is going to be an easy fix, but you might have some bruises..."He began healing Vladan's back, which thankfully looked worse than it actually was."I can only keep Kita here for another 48 hours before they remove her... I delayed it slightly by telling them that the blood loss caused some complications, and I needed to monitor her, but I won't be able to ask for more than that." he said, getting Vladan to turn so that he could work on his rib. "And you might have even less time than that, so you might want to come up with something quick. I'm just a healer. I can't fight like you two..."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 7:45 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"What happened to her?" Vladan asked. He noticed a soldier giving him a leery eye, and Vladan twisted his head around as if to look at his back. "You like it?" He asked the guard with an arched brow, referring to his large tattoo. The guard gave Vladan a nasty look, but he ignored it. "And you darn well better heal me the best you can after all I've done to come get you fools." Vladan muttered. He cracked his knuckles, and an idea came to mind. "Next time Sochuv pays me a visit I'll be able to take care of everything but..." Vladan hummed under his breath, trying to decide whether he should tell James about his mind controlling ability and it's aftereffects."But you're going to need to guide us back."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 8:02 PM
"I think the shock from the pain knocked her out for a while... blood loss didn't help..." he said, half to Vladan and half to Kita. "Knife did some damage to the bone, but it wasn't major..."He moved to the raw skin on Vladan's wrists."Why exactly did she have a knife in her arm anyway?"@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 8:24 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"That wasn't supposed to happen." Vladan muttered. "Kita mimicked me..." He said, flustered. "I threw the knife... We needed to get her here but she should have been fine. I don't know what happened, but it blew my cover as well."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 8:47 PM
James turned to Kita. "Maybe it has something to do with that damage to your arm."She hadn't spoken at all, but the guards in the room all thought she was Russian, so it was probably for the best...He didn't mean to sound passive-aggressive, but he could immediately tell that he had... he immediately changed the subject."If you can get to us after doing... whatever... Kita and I could guide you back... there's just one thing... " he said, pointing at Andrew. "He's coming too."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 10:33 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"No way." Vladan said. "We aren't taking any more men then we need to. We're bringing back you 5, Kita and that's it."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 10:52 PM
James frowned.."I didn't ask your permission, Vietkov. I'll carry him, but he is coming." He said firmly. "Like it or not, I don't care."He felt Vladan's legs, healing as he went."We're running out of time here. Do your thing. Get back here as soon as you're able. I'll help guide you or whatever. All of us are getting out." He said, then reminded him, "You have 48 hours. After that, we're all dead."He finished healing him and backed away.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 8 December 2016 at 11:10 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan laughed haughtily at James. "I think you forgot who is in charge here." He said under his breath. Vladan stood and stretched, testing his arms and legs as he did so. The man picked up the shirt. It was dirty and in bad condition, but it was all he had.He stepped forwards towards James, and the guards nearby shifted in preparation. Vladan jabbed his finger into the center of James's chest. "I think you fail to realize that I don't care whether you live or die.""If anything, you were the smallest priority when I decided to come here." Vladan began raising his voice now, and the guards shifted uncomfortably, unsure whether they should step in or not."Do NOT order me around."
dada_dragon • 8 December 2016 at 11:29 PM
"I don't think you understand the position you're currently in, Vietkov..." he spat. "Until we get out of this place, you have no authority."He wiped his hands off on a rag, not budging under pressure."48 hours." He said.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 9 December 2016 at 12:24 AM
@dada_dragon~~~Vladan scoffed. "I'm not afraid of dying." He said through grit teeth. "I have next to nothing to live for." The man grabbed James's arm, and forced the healer to turn. "I could get Kita killed right now." Vladan threatened. He knew what he was saying, but he didn't know if he could actually go through with it. The soldiers could sense the hostility, and one of them pulled Vladan back before anything could escalate."Let go." Vladan muttered as he shook off their grip. "I'm not done educating this ungrateful piece of..." The guard grabbed Vladan again, and he elbowed the man in the stomach."Don't touch me." He growled in angry russian. "I'll kill you." The soldier took it as a threat, and pushed Vladan into a wall. It was a fight waiting to happen.Vladan threw the first punch, and the two of them fell to the ground as the fight proceeded. The other guard attempted to break it up, and was using the butt of his rifle to jab at them. The soldier that refused to participate in the fight was screaming in angry russian as Vladan repeatedly punched the guard in the face.
dada_dragon • 9 December 2016 at 1:20 AM
James pushed past the guards, ignoring their angry yells and pulled the angry guard off Vladan. For all his talk of "not being a fighter like them", he wasn't weak by any stretch of the imagination... He survived prison, after all...The guard protested at first, but James ignored him, yanking Vladan up by the collar."Don't you EVER threaten Kita." he said coldly. "If you do that again, you'll wish you were being interrogated by Sochuv, because I will end you."There was a darkness in his voice that was very much unlike him... There was no hint of the usual, generally kind and well-meaning James...Even the soldiers seemed hesitant to pull him away from Vladan, their gaze darting back and forth between the two men.
bunnyshadow • 9 December 2016 at 1:35 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan hesitated. He had seen James angry before, but never like this. The young man pushed that tiny bit of fear away. He scoffed and leaned in closer, so that the two were only centimeters from touching forehead to forehead."What are you going to do about it?" Vladan said with a smirk. "Heal me to death?" He reached up with his hands, and wrapped them tightly around the arm James was using to grab his collar."How do you suppose you're going to keep your word when you're not even in the country for more than a week or two at a time?" He taunted."Where were you when Kita decided to get involved with me?" Vladan pushed forwards. "Where were you when I saved her life?" He didn't know why he continued to spit out his venom. It was almost like angering James provided him with entertainment. He had always found it amusing to make the man angry, and Vladan longed to push him over the edge. As if what he had already said wasn't enough, Vladan had to say one last thing."Where were you last night when my knife dug it's way into her arm?"
dada_dragon • 9 December 2016 at 2:01 AM
James didn't hesitate. Vladan's comments set him off. He grabbed Vladan's arm and focused on the bones in his wrist. Immediately, his arm began to bend back at an unnatural angle, stretching the muscles to their breaking point."My power isn't healing... it's biological manipulation that I use to heal... But if I wanted to make your heart stop... I could."Only Xavior had known the full extent of James' power before now... Even Kita had no idea... James had always been ashamed of it, fearful of what he could do, but Vladan had crossed a line.He returned the bone to its original position."Don't you dare cross me."@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 9 December 2016 at 2:14 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan's brows knit together in disbelief at the sight of his wrist twisting into an completely unnatural angle. Though the appearance did cause a wince to cross his face once James was finished with his work. He wasn't looking forward to seeing that again, so he released his grip on the other man."Very intimidating, I must say." Vladan praised. "It's a shame I couldn't feel a thing." He felt his wrist curiously, and this new knowledge of James definitely had his brain churning. "I find it interesting.... You've decided to show your full potential only in a situation as precarious as this."He smiled at James. "I look forward to seeing that again." He paused when he heard footsteps nearing from the other side of the thin walls. It was almost time to go.
dada_dragon • 9 December 2016 at 2:36 AM
More and more interesting... I could definitely use him...Things seemed to be settling down. He had been watching the entire exchange, tapping his fingers on his lap. He found the whole thing fascinating...Vietkov and James... they snap at each other like fighting wolves... If they destroy each other... that would be ideal...@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 9 December 2016 at 2:56 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~The cell door clanged shut behind Vladan. He didn't put up much of a struggle when they came to retrieve him, though they did seem a bit astounded at how Vladan had enough energy to start another fight so soon. He curled up on the floor and went to sleep. Vladan needed all the energy he could get for tommorow morning...
dada_dragon • 9 December 2016 at 4:04 AM
James sat next to Andrew, checking his vitals as he lay there, motionless... Kita was laying in her bed, not asleep, but resting. He had tried making conversation with her, but she only gave short replies. Eventually, he gave up.It was nearly dawn, but James had gotten up every two hours to check on Andrew. He was exhausted...He couldn't help but wonder what Vladan was planning, even though any mention of him made him furious...@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 9 December 2016 at 4:57 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Who sent you?""N...None of y-your...business." Vladan choked out. He braced himself for the water, but still wasn't prepared for it. The freezing liquid poured down his face, and he coughed as a bit of it got into his nose. It stung his back as the water made way past the dried blood and into the slices still healing across his back."Answer me." There was a sharp click, and Vladan's breath caught in his throat."W-what is that?" He stuttered out blindly. The cloth covering his eyes was dark, and he could only make out a blurry silhoutte of the man leering over him."Tell me who sent you and you won't have to find out."Fear had made itself at home in his bones, but the thought of betraying the very people that gave him meaning to life made him sick....Vladan grit his teeth and forced himself to remain silent. The silence didn't last long when the knife tore into the skin on his back. He howled in pain, and held his breath in preparation for his interrogator's next move.---He woke with a start. Sweat covered his body, and he sat up against the wall. Vladan wondered vaguely what time it was.The heavy sound of boots echoing down the hall tore Vladan out of his thinking zone. He looked up to see several soldiers glowering down at him, and judging by their sloth-like movements, it was probably early morning."Sochuv wants to see you." Vladan was so out of things that he was unsure if the translator was the same man from the day before or not. He decided it didn't matter anymore, and let the men lead him towards their destination. There was no point in fighting anymore... It would only hold his plan back.
