@dada_dragon ~~~"I'm not stupid." Vladan said with a raised brow. He was examining his wrist now, face scrunched up in frustration on how he was going to fix it. "I don't care for an even fight." The man said with a sharp grin. "I care about winning."He frowned now, watching as his dogs were put out of the fight. "How about we fight fair and I won't have to call out Odilia huh?" Vladan said menacingly. "You fix my hand, and I beat you to the ground."Almost as if the animal had been called forward, the large white lion loped slowly into the room, head rearing back as she shook her mane out.

James looked from Vladan to the lion. He didn't like his chances, but he was too angry to back down. He had nothing left to lose. Kita had made her choice...He ran at Vladan, throwing a punch with his good arm.@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"Maul him!" Vladan yelled when James began running at him. "Tear him to shreds!" He egged onwards at the wild animal. His eyes were wide and feral and he bared his teeth almost as wildly as his pets. The fist hit Vladan in the jaw, and he grimaced at the sound of flesh hitting bone.Using this opportunity, he grabbed James's arm with his one good hand in an attempt to hold him down enough for Odilia to make her move.

James was tackled by the large animal and he immediately raised his arm to protect his face. He cried out in terror and pain as she locked her jaws onto his arm.Kita, who had been standing to the side, watching the fight happen, suddenly yelled in terror as if a switch had been flicked..."Vladan!!! Please!!!" She screamed. "Please call her off!!!"She ran up to Vladan, her body shaking as if it required significant effort to do so. She looked him in the eye, frantic."Vladan! Please save hi-"She stopped, suddenly letting him go and seeming frustrated."Forget it..."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"Shut up!" Vladan yelled at Kita in frustration. He was confused, angry and absolutely mad at everything that had transpired in the past few days. He pointed an accusing finger at Kita, and his eyes suddenly narrowed in understanding. "I know what you did." Vladan said angrily at Kita, ignoring the Odilia's rapid movements."You started this whole mess, well you better fix it." He growled, moving to turn away. "James was certainly brave enough to do this--" He held up his twisted hand now. "I'm sure he'll be brave enough to handle her." He said, fuming. Vladan pushed Kita now. "You disgust me!" He cried out both hurtfully and furiously.

"I'm not Kirah, is that it?" She said, a cruel smile stretching across her face in a way that was entirely unnatural. "You tried to pretend I was... but in the end, nothing will bring her back, will it?"She laughed... a sick, twisted, haunting noise..."Trying to fill in that gaping hole she left behind? Trying to bury your guilt and move on?James was starting to lose consciousness. He reached up desperately with the hand that the dog had chewed up to touch the lion's face.He didn't look at the arm that was in her mouth... he could tell it was bad... He just needed to focus long enough... to stay awake...He felt fur beneath his fingertips and immediately began focusing. The lion didn't like that much though and released his arm, clamping down on his shoulder.He cried out again, but held tight. It felt like hours before the lion's movements began to slow, all the while, she chewed furiously on his shoulder. He was nearly at his limit when he felt the animal's weight collapse on him as the lioness fell asleep. He could barely breathe, but he was alive.He closed his eyes and let unconsciousness take him...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"I will break you." Vladan said threateningly. He stormed up to Kita now, leaning in close to her--but in a way as far from romantic as can be. The man jabbed a finger angrily into her chest, before moving to shove her backwards again. He continued moving forwards, trying his best to back her into the wall--to corner her and destroy her."I should have killed you from the start." He said through grit teeth.

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan wrapped his one free hand around Kita's throat. There was something dark in his eyes, something so evil and heartless and cold and relentless that his eyes may as well have belonged to one of the demon's residing several thousands of feet below ground.He wanted to laugh, but he was long past that sarcastic, narcissistic side of him. Vladan had crossed that line the very second Kita let those words out of her mouth. The man had become the monster that very few people had ever been able to see--and none that had ever wanted to.Their eyes had locked for what seemed like eternity, and an array of rushed, confused, sad and so very emotional words pulled free and swirled around inside his brain. The white noise had become deafening now, and his eyes widened first in surprise, then in understanding, then in absolute disbelief."What..." He trailed off, angry and feral and snarling and mad but very much confused as well. "Who are you?" He said, words choking in his throat.Vladan knew when he had lost.And he knew that he had been played. It felt so similar to one of those blackjack matches he played often in the casino--When he had the 20 number and knew that victory was within grasp, but suddenly the man across from him would flip his pair and the numbers would add up to twenty-one exact.Vladan had expected so much, and he knew he should have known better, but he had played right into the hands of something that definitely was planned perfectly...knit intricately from hours of thought and rethought and everything in between to make sure that everything had gone exactly to plan.He had almost forgotten that his hand was around Kita's throat, and he loosed his grip a little bit--enough to let her speak. "What are you?" Vladan said lowly, his tone low and mean and whispering 'death'.

He laughed, smiling up at Vladan, knowing what Vladan could see."So you've figured it out..." He said coldly, choking through Vladan's fingers. "That it wasn't her... That's fine... I'm quite satisfied... With the damage... You've done here..."He looked over at James, crushed beneath Odelia's weight."Do you suppose he's dead?" He asked.He could feel Kita's sadness as he said it... imprisoned deep in her own mind somewhere...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"Willow?" He cried out desperately; releasing his grip on Kita. The man rushed over to James, regret filling his lungs. Vladan could barely breathe even, at the thought of him being the one responsible for James's death even though the man had done nothing wrong.--Willow broke out of her stupor, running over to James. "Willow? Willow do something!" She ignored Vladan's orders as she placed her hands gently over James's shoulder wound. It looked the most terrifying--probably because it was Odilia behind it after all. The white glow pulsed from under her palms, and it took several long minutes just for her to fix the man's shoulder..."Willow work faster." She ignored him, instead focusing on what was left of James's disfigured arm. It was disgusting and bloody and impossible, but the white sparks flickered in and out of his skin, mending the torn muscle and flesh and even broken bones.--"Andrew..." he whispered. A sudden realization overcame Vladan, and he bolted up the stairs. The door was slammed open, and the man paced towards the bed--eyes darting around wildly. A few kitchen utensils lay leftover on the table, and he picked up the knife. Vladan bared the weapon now as he grabbed the man by the arm.

"What do you suppose will happen then...""Kita" was standing at the door, smiling."I'm not in there, you know... Perhaps if you kill that body, I'll be trapped in this one... I'm not terribly attached to my own, so destroy it if you'd like, but what would that mean for your darling Kita here...?"

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan broke.He had been broken before in his life, but never like this. This time it was past the physical point--it was mentally. And he could feel his heart breaking at how he had been played, how he had let himself be played.The man let the knife slip from his hand, and it fell on the ground with an angry clatter. There was no anger left, just the harsh tartness of sorrow.He could feel the tightening of his jaw right before the tears were about to come, but he forced them back. Vladan wasn't going to cry, no way he was going to show Andrew the satisfaction.He turned now, slowly."What did I ever do to you? We saved your life."

He smiled."You broke something of mine... my last little puppet..." he said cruelly. "Poor little Ero... he wanted so desperately to get revenge on you... and I was more than willing to hand it to him... that was the deal, after all... And yet, when the time came, the fool changed his mind. He begged for me to stop... to revoke the deal...""His pleading was too distracting... and he died because of it..." he growled. "And I was returned to this body..."He gestured at the still form on the bed."For months, I could not move... I depended on others... I had freedom, and it was taken away from me!""But then your men came... I was going to take that healer as my prisoner... but it is difficult to take someone who is awake... but then that girl came... it was perfect... And this power of hers... How could I resist?"

@dada_dragon ~~~"He wasn't yours!" Vladan howled angrily. "He was mine. Ero belonged to me!" He cried, obviously very frustrated. He wanted to do something, to hurt someone, but there was absolutely nothing he could do to Andrew.Vladan knew he was defeated. "Come on..." He trailed off, glancing over to what was once Kita. His eyes screamed unspoken pleas, but he refused to beg for something that wasn't even Andrew's in the first place."I'll give you whatever you want." Vladan said, slowly pacing towards Kita. The man reached over, putting his hand on her face. "Is it me that you want?" He whispered, eyes dilated crazily. "That's what Ero wanted." He said, leaning in.--"It wasn't Kita." Willow said. "I knew it the entire time--there's no time to explain, we need to find out how to get rid of Andrew." She said, moving on to the next injury."Andrew's power." Willow said quickly. "Possession. He's inside of her."

He laughed."You don't understand, do you? This is what I want... You've lost everything... and you can't even touch me... Not without harming her... And it was better than I could have- Vladan! Just do it! Kill hi-"It ended as suddenly as it came. He smiled darkly."If he kills me, you might be stuck under my control forever... You would take that- HIS MIND IS TIED TO HIS BODY AND HE KNOWS IT! WHY ELSE WOULD HE HAVE JAMES BRING HIM HERE???"He looked furious, glaring up at Vladan."You would have to get through me fir- TRUST ME, VLADAN!"

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan turned back to Andrew's sleeping form. It was slumped to the side from where Vladan had grabbed him earlier. The man picked up the jagged kitchen knife, bringing it up towards the man's neck. He lifted the knife up quickly, moving to stab it down on the open flesh, but he stopped the blade mere centimeters from it's target. He turned towards Kita, a broken smile on his face."I don't want to kill anymore." He whispered. "Everything begins with one death. Kirah dying made me what I am today..." Vladan trailed off now, his knuckles tightening from how tightly he held the blade."Me sending Ero away made me die as well." He paused, voice cracking. "Puppet dying made you what you are today--" Vladan said, referring to Andrew."And if I kill Andrew who knows what other pain and suffering awaits.....I can't Kita. Not anymore."--"Andrew's room." Willow said quickly, pulling James to a stand. "We have to go now."

@dada_dragon ~~~Willow pushed past James, her slim figure shoving Kita aside as she entered the room. She ripped the knife from Vladan'a grip, pushing the man aside as she did so. The woman glared at Kita, wrapping her arms tightly around Andrew's upper body."No wonder why..." Willow said angrily. "Kita's aura was never like that...." she admitted. "You were the one that did all of this, you...you...monster!"Vladan watched speechlessly as he stumbled back, staring with wide eyes as Willow let out her anger. Pulsing black smoke trailed from her thin fingers, wrapping around Andrew's form."You are the most cruel..." She said, eyes tearing up in pain. Not her pain, but that of Kita and James and Vladan--everyone that had to suffer because Andrew wanted his way with things. "You are the biggest fiend of them all...Andrew." Willow said, her power beginning to take root as the dark tendrils began picking at the flesh of the body."W-Willow..." Vladan said, faltering fearfully at whatever the woman was doing. It struck him suddenly and he remembered the piercing pain he had felt from her touch.She was consuming him--his soul and life force and essence and everything he had.

James stumbled back in fear. He had never seen Willow like this... It was downright frightening..."You-"Kita- no... Andrew slumped to the floor, groaning in pain. He looked up at her, a psychotic grin on "his" face."She can feel it too, you know... she's screaming... she's in pain..." he said, laughing savagely. "She's broken! She will never recover from this! She will never be the way she was before!"Seeing her like this was the most painful thing James had seen... He wanted to beg Willow to stop, but this wasn't her... this was a monster... Willow was their only hope at saving Kita... He looked away."Are you afraid, James?" Andrew taunted. "Afraid to look at what you've caused? It was going to be you, but then you brought me to her! It's your fault she suffered her greatest fear! She will never forgive you!"His voice was weaker now. He was leaning against the wall, clearly fading away, but still laughing insanely.@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"There will be no God where you are going." Willow said in a voice that just wasn't hers. "You lost your humanity long before Vladan has and ever will..." She trailed off now, looking down at Andrew's 'sleeping' form. Her eyes closed for a second, and she felt the screaming black energy rushing through her veins. The darkness pulsed and grew. To Vladan, it felt like everything he had ever done had caught up to him. All the men he had killed, all the people he had caused pain and suffering, all the material things he didn't need.The static in the room was furious, and it roared in Vladan's ears, then just as suddenly as it had begun, there was nothing.Silence.

Kita was now lying very still against the wall... James approached slowly, scared of what he might find there... He picked her up and held her tight. She was breathing, but she was very cold..."Kita..." he said quietly, just sitting there, afraid to let go.Andrew was gone... this was her... she felt so fragile... like she could disappear from his arms at any minute... She had never looked so helpless...He broke down, not caring if even Vladan saw it."I'm so sorry Kita... I'm so sorry... This was all my fault... I'm sorry..."She was alive... Andrew was gone... that should have been the only thing that mattered to him, but she had suffered because of him...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~It took Vladan a long time to finally move. James's breakdown left him unaffected, and he tried to make his breaths even out. He forced himself to calm down. Vladan stepped past Kita, past James's form, past Willow who was still holding Andrew--unmoving but still holding on.He wanted to yell at James, to beat him down. He wanted to blame James for everything that happened. He was the one that brought Andrew back here after all. But Vladan knew James had been hurt more than necessary already.Vladan stopped walking when he reached James's sitting form. Be placed a hand on the other man's shoulder, giving him a weak squeeze."You were just being a good person." Vladan said quietly. "You didn't know any better."He let go now, before leaving the right room. His other hand was still broken and twisted and messed up, but Vladan would wait for a better time to ask it be fixed.--"You two better get out of here." Willow said lowly. "I'm staying here for a bit to make sure he's actually gone..." she trailed off."I don't want him coming back anymore."

James nodded, picking up Kita and carrying her to one of the rooms. He set her down on the bed and pulled the blankets over her. She was so pale...He stood up and walked out of the room. He couldn't be there... it was too painful...He had seen where Vladan had gone and he went the same way. Finally finding him, he stood in the doorway, not sure what to say."I'm... I'm sorry..." he finally said. "Let me... let me fix your wrist..."He felt deflated, but he needed to distract himself... to fix something... to do something... anything... to repair the damage he had caused..."Please..."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan broke down the second he was alone and away from everybody else. The tears flowed freely now, and he wiped it away angrily. His elbows hurt from how roughly he pushed them down on the desk."Yeah." He said, voice breaking when he spoke. "Sit down." Vladan said, motioning for James to sit on the empty chair. The man tried blinking back the tears, but found that he couldn't."I killed Ero." He said, looking up at him with red eyes. Eyes that for once not red from his powers but from the crying. "I killed Kirah." Vladan admitted. "I made the first move that ended with all of us in this big mess...." He trailed off, extending his twisted wrist for James to heal."I got myself involved with too many criminals, thugs, crooks and gangs." Vladan said. "They came after me and got Kirah instead...I only did it for her. She had a terminal illness...her treatment was more than I could afford with just a regular job.""After she died everything I had ever done came crashing down on me. She was the only thing I lived for, and when she was gone I had nothing left.""I let myself become something that I never wanted to be."

"I wish I could have been there for Kita..." James admitted as he took Vladan's wrist and began returning it to normal. "She and Xavior were really close... when he died... She would always pretend that she was okay, but I could always tell... There was nothing I could do though...""And even now... I was there but... I couldn't protect her..."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~"Being a good boyfriend is hard, isn't it?" Vladan said jokingly, cracking a small smile as he did so. "You can't always be there to protect the one you love, but you can always try your best." He admitted."I'm..." He trailed off, watching as his wrist was returned back to normal. "I'm going to need some time...a lot of time." Vladan said. "To think.""Feel free to stay as long as you need to." Vladan said, before standing up. He headed over to the closet, picking through it for a pair of clothes."I'm going to need a shower." He arched a brow now, giving James a teasing, yet also very distasteful look. "You should too, you're covered in guts and look like the cat dragged you in." "I can't have anyone looking like this in my mansion." He bantered with a short scoff.

James nodded, leaving Vladan with his thoughts.He washed himself off in one of the room's showers before returning to Kita's room.She was sitting up in bed, staring out the window. Her eyes were dull and there was none of the usual spark in her that he had loved so much. She looked so... empty..."Hey, Kita."She turned to look at him, giving him a half-hearted smile."Hey."He sat next to her on the bed, grabbing hold of her hand."How are you doing?" he asked tentatively, afraid to upset her."I'm alright." she said quietly."Do you need anything?""No. Just... Just sit with me for a minute..."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~His tears dried with the water as he toweled himself off after the long shower. Vladan wandered aimlessly around the house after he had gotten dressed. Andrew had dredged up memories that he had tried so hard to forget.---Vladan could feel the thick rope being cinched tightly around his wrists, and he tried to move but found that his ankles were bound to the chair leg. "Why are you doing this, Ero?" Vladan said, completely disorientated. The drugs were still in his system, but he found himself managing to force his eyes open.The blonde man stepped in now, leaning in close to Vladan's face. He averted his gaze, trying his best to avoid staring at the marks left on the bottom part of Ero's face. Vladan felt his jaw being grabbed, and it was forced up so he met the other man's gaze.Ero is gone.---Vladan sat down by his dozing pets, patting Odilia's large white flank. He placed his head on her warm body, enjoying the feel of the thick layers of soft fur.He remembered now.---The hours passed by like days, and days like weeks. Vladan didn't know how long he had been imprisoned, but he knew that escape was futile."You going to tell me where your men are hiding their stash?" The large man said threateningly. The knife gleamed in his hands, but Vladan remained stoic."Eat dirt." Vladan said, spitting on the man's shoes. The man growled, and he slashed the blade down Vladan's arm. He could feel his ocher dripping out, but his face showed no pain.His torturer looked confused, glancing from the weapon to the wound. The door slammed open, and a familiar form stormed in, a second one being dragged behind."You idiot!" Puppet yelled through the guard's mouth. "Vladan can't feel pain...you can't hurt him like that...use your brains you buffoons."---Vladan opened his eyes now, leaving the lioness to rest. He gave his two dogs short rubs on the head, before venturing into the kitchen.The familiar sound of a cork being popped off echoed around the room.---The water splashed across his shoulders, and he found himself choking through the liquid. Vladan couldn't breath, and his heart burned. He felt himself losing consciousness, then fresh air flooded his lungs."You going to finally tell us, boy?"Vladan choked on his words, water still stinging in his nose and throat. "Just...kill me already."Puppet laughed. "I want to see you suffer first."---Vladan moved to take a sip, but pushed the bottle aside. Instead, he buried his face in his hands.---The yelling and screaming pierced his ears. His head was pounding, his throat was dry and he hadn't eaten in who knew how long. Vladan had lost track of time long ago. All he could think about how...hot it was.He opened his eyes, and reeled back at the sight of flames licking at the walls. Was this how he was going to die? Getting scorched to death without a chance of escape? Vladan struggled, and the flames only crept closer.He felt something hot against his skin, and suddenly the flames ate the rope. Vladan stood, teetering into a crumbling wall as he did so.Where was the exit?He could hear the men yelling, but their voices didn't reach him. All he could do was limp weakly through the building. Sirens in the distance.Vladan reached up a bloody hand towards the window, punching through the thin glass. It shattered, and he ignored the glass that pierced his skin as he climbed up and crawled out.It was a steep drop from the second story, but faced with no choice--he jumped.---"What does it matter anymore?" He said. "Might as well start working on your imminent death--destroy your liver before you can destroy yourself." Vladan said to himself. He took a big swig.---Vladan was bloody, sore, and not sure how many broken bones he had. He didn't manage to crawl, stumble, and walk very far. The man entered an alleyway, and leaned heavily against the dirty wall. "This is how I'm gonna die, huh..." He said, an amused smile crossing his face. "Not because of Puppet and his goons, but in an alleyway by myself..." Vladan trailed off, sighing. "What an unpleasant way to go."He closed his eyes, when a loud crack sounded. A decently sized bag was dropped by his head. Vladan opened his eyes lazily, and saw a blonde woman staring down at him. "Ooo...I hope I didn't break any jewelry." The woman said wincing. "Wow." She added. "You look terrible. I wonder what happened to you." The sound of footsteps entered his ears, and he felt her latch onto his arm."Dawn went this way!""Oops." The woman said. "We gotta go." She said.He felt like he was floating all of the sudden, and everything became a blur. Vladan closed his eyes, letting exhaustion take hold of him.--Vladan closed his eyes, letting sleep pull him under.

"Vladan..."James had helped Kita walk to the kitchen to get something to eat. She now looked down at the man collapsed on the table and James saw a flicker of sympathy on her face.He helped her into a chair across from Vladan, grabbing the half-empty bottle and putting it back in the cupboard. He grabbed some food and began cooking.He missed cooking... lately it had been Kita who'd been making food since he'd been out on missions for Vladan. When it was the three of them, James had done most of the cooking, since Xavior could burn water and Kita always insisted that his cooking was better.There was a sound of shattering glass and he turned to see Kita shaking and Vladan's glass shattered in the floor."I'm sorry..." she said quietly. "I was just trying to move it and... my hand... I forgot..."@bunnyshadow
