"Go on." Vladan said. "Do it." The man egged him onwards. "Drive as recklessly as you want, just take care not to scratch it."

---

"I hate him so much that I just don't have enough energy for it anymore." Willow admitted. "Dawn telling me these things about him helped me realize that Vladan hadn't always been like this."

"It makes me wonder how many times a man's heart has to be broken for him to become a monster." She stared at Kita. "Don't let yourself fall into that abyss."

James hit the gas. Vladan wasn't lying about the vehicle... it was impressive... It handled so easily and it was fast... really fast.

He couldn't help but grin. No wonder Xavior had loved this so much... His grin grew as he suddenly spun the wheel in a maneuver that he hadn't tried since he used to drive with Xavior.

The car turned rapidly, the engine roaring furiously with the effort, and James laughed at the sheer adrenaline as they drove back the way they came.

"That's about as reckless as I get." He said, still laughing. "You'd have gotten along well with Xavior though."

Kita laughed half-heartedly.

"If I haven't already..."

Vladan could tell that James was having a good enough time. He seemed to actually enjoy the car, considering how James nearly hated all of Vladan's vehicles, that was saying something. He chuckled lightheartedly at James's words. "Maybe." Vladan said softly. He wondered silently when the last time he actually had a real friend. When the two of them got back, the doors slid up slowly.

"How did you like it?" The man in the white suit asked.

"It was great." Vladan said. "I'm impressed. It's far beyond it's year." He leaned in closer to the man. "Though I would like to talk to you about something." He said, pulling the employee out of James's earshot.

"I'll take it." Vladan said.

The employee seemed surprised at that. "Uh.." He trailed off hesitantly. "This wasn't the car we were supposed to give you."

Vladan put an arm around the employee with fake friendliness. "Listen up--" He cut himself off, taking a quick glance at the man's name card. "Listen up Stephen." He said. "My friend...I would like to get this for him to make up for something I did not that long ago."

"Here." Vladan said, pulling out his credit card. "How about instead of me driving around and getting paid for taking one of your cars out, I'll buy this one and take it out. You get my money and you get the publicity you need."

The man seemed hesitant. "I'll call my boss and ask."

"Alright Stephen, thanks. Sounds good man." Vladan said, patting the guy on the shoulder before stepping back over to James.

"Let's head down to the showrooms." He said, arching a brow. "We've got quite some time before we should get back."

---

"Kita..." Willow trailed off softly. "I don't think you realize it, but after what happened Vladan has changed quite a bit--and for the better." She said. "He hasn't been to work in a week. I overheard an argument he had with one of his partners."

---

Willow closed the front door quietly behind her as she entered the house. She could hear Vladan's voice echoing noisily from the living room. The woman snuck closer, listening intently from behind the wall.

"You NEED to sign the contract tomorrow, Veitkov."

"No.." Vladan trailed off, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. "I can't... I'm terribly apologetic Harrah."

"Why not?" The other man said, obviously extremely frustrated.

"I don't want to kill anymore."

Willow had to struggle to hear those words, Vladan had said them so quietly. "Your entire business is based on killing." The other man said, fingers tapping impatiently against the armrest of his chair. "Everything you own has blood on it's surface."

"I need some time to think...please escort yourself out." Vladan said thinly.

Harrah let out an irritated grunt. "If you wish, Veitkov. You're missing out on a huge opportunity for huge money...I'll come back in a week."

Willow saw the man stand, and stepped back down the hall. Harrah turned the corner, and Willow stepped by him. "Sorry." She said. The man ignored her, opening the front door and leaving.

---

"He's certainly changed a lot since Andrew." Willow said. "It's a lot better for us, but I'm not so sure it's good for him, his family, his job, or anything he does." She said, biting her bottom lip. "Vladan needs to stay strong to stay alive--if he keeps this up he might end up getting hurt." Willow smiled.

"You did something good, Kita. You should talk to him though...I'm worried."

James smiled.

"Sounds good." He said, walking with Vladan. He did want to see what else they had...

Kita looked up.

"Fine... I'll try to talk to him, but I... it's not going to be an easy conversation..."

That was putting it mildly...

"Left or right." Vladan asked James. The left car was a bright flashy green with black trim. The right one was a plain white, but was definitely more high tech, as the interior had gleaning LED lighting.

--

"You haven't had much of an appetite lately." Willow said pointedly. "Not hungry? It's not a healthy habit to pick up."

James looked at both. He didn't know a lot about cars like this... Xavior was the one who read all the car magazines and such... James just knew enough to fix his truck...

"Going on looks alone? The one on the left. I don't know. I'm no expert. You've seen my vehicle."

"I'm fine...."

Kita didn't want to talk about it... how significantly her appetite had gone down... How she knew it wasn't enough, but she couldn't make herself eat more than the bare minimum...

"Don't worry. I'm alright."

"I prefer the left as well." Vladan said. "Though the other one functions much better, I prefer appearance over functionality." He took out his phone when it vibrated in his pocket.

UNKNOWN# : Boss said it would be okay if you purchased.

VLADAN : Charge on card.

UNKNOWN# : All 2,000,000?

VLADAN : Don't make me say again.

UNKNOWN# : OK. Come pick up when you leave.

He leaned in towards James as they moved to the next display. "Are you okay around Odilia and my mutts now?" He asked quietly. "I reprimanded them." Vladan knew it wasn't the animals faults they attacked, but he was angry regardless and needed an outlet for his temper.

---

"Vladan and James seem to be getting along better." Willow said hopefully in an attempt to lighten the mood. She sighed. "I know you're only saying that. I'm gonna be worried because I care about you."

"The dogs are fine, but Odelia still looks at me funny... I don't think she likes me much..." He said, smiling. "She took a nice bite out of me. Willow was saying it was absolutely terrifying. Poor girl."

Realizing how that might sound like he was blaming Vladan, he gave him a cheerful smile.

"She fixed it up though... good as new."

"Yeah..."

Maybe they'd have been friends all along if she hadn't been...

She sighed. There was no use thinking that way... Willow was trying to cheer her up and she was being a wet blanket...

"I'm sorry..."

"Well..." Vladan trailed off. "I felt kind of bad." He said, clearing his throat. "So I got you something to make up for it." The man motioned at the exit, where a small crowd gathered to oogle the vehicle purring outside. "You seemed like you liked it." He said. "And I think it's about time you got a new car--that truck makes my entire garage look bad."

---

"Kita!" Willow said with mock anger. "Don't say that--Vladan doesn't get along with anyone for the first few weeks he sees them..."

"How about a movie?" She tried. "It might cheer you up...we can watch it until the other two get back, then we can all head out for dinner...I've already managed to convince Vladan, and I'm sure James would love to go!"

James' smile faded slightly.

"Vladan... I really appreciate the gesture, but... that truck is kind of important to me..." he said quietly. "Xavior and I worked hard on it, and I could never let go of it..."

"I'm sorry, Willow... I'm not really in the mood for a movie..." she said, knowing that Willow would be disappointed. She just didn't have the energy to devote to paying attention to a movie... She barely had enough energy to maintain conversation with Willow... And she absolutely dreaded the thought of leaving the house for dinner...

Irritation graced Vladan's features. He placed a hand on the hood of the car, his smirk tilting downwards into an angry frown. "I pulled some strings to get it." Vladan said. "It's already paid for..." he trailed off, gritting his teeth in annoyance. "You are not going to turn me down in front of so many people."

---

Willow teared up slightly from Kita's refusal. "Kita..." She said quietly. The woman sighed, before getting up. She sniffled softly, pushing her hair behind her ear. "Okay."

James shifted uncomfortably.

"If you've already paid for it... I just don't want to get rid of the truck."

James wasn't great with confrontation... Especially with this many people around... better to give in than fight him on it...

Kita felt guilty about turning Willow down, but she didn't say anything. She just remained silent and returned to staring out the window.

"You don't have to." Vladan muttered under his breath. An employee got out of the car, and the drivers and passenger's doors slid up slowly. "Let's go, yeah?" Vladan said, taking off his shades. "You can't forget I'm also doing it for publicity...look like you love it." He mumbled.

"We can have someone drop your truck off later tonight."

---

Willow left the room with a loud sigh. She went downstairs and sat in the living room, awaiting the two men's return.

James did his best to act like he was ecstatic about the new vehicle. It was probably enough to convince the press, but he knew that Vladan would have known it was fake even if he himself hadn't asked him to...

The fake smile faded the second that they left the dealership. The silence was uncomfortable...

"Sorry, Vladan... I'm no good in that kind of situation... I didn't mean to offend you."

"It's whatever." Vladan said blankly. He was annoyed, and hurt but tried his best not to show it. It was like the man had stuck out an olive branch to James, and it felt like the other man had snapped it in half. Vladan tapped his foot on the floor of the car. "I don't understand." He said suddenly.

"You and Kita..." Hr trailed off. "So against materialistic items." Vladan chuckled now. "I suppose that's why I respect the both of you."

James smiled. "Well, when you don't have a lot, you learn to live with what you have." he said. "Kita ran away from home... Xavior was from a poor family... And I got kicked out for refusing to cut off ties with them."

"My dad didn't like them much... I guess I can understand. At the time, they were getting me into a lot of illegal activities... He didn't want his straight-A son getting involved in crime... He said they were a bad influence..."

He laughed. "He wasn't wrong. Those two were terrible... but they were also like family to me... Maybe I should have tried harder to keep them out of trouble... maybe things would have turned out differently."

Vladan tapped his fingers thoughtfully on the side of the door. He went quite for a bit, and the only noises in the car were the low rumblings from the engine. The man pursed his lips, hesitated lightly, then spoke.

"Do you still maintain contact with your family?"

James shook his head.

"I don't mind though. We never got along in the first place. I'm certainly not missing out on anything."

"She's coming." Willow said, crossing her arms. "Kita needs to go out eventually. It's been one week." She watched Vladan head upstairs with the corner of her eyes.

"You're coming too!!" She yelled at his retreating back. Vladan muttered something under his breath the Willow couldn't hear before yelling back.

"I'm getting Kita!" He called out before barging into Kita's room. Vladan stepped over to the bed, moving to pick her up.

"What do you want?" asked Kita quietly, looking over at Vladan.

He had come in, not even bothering to knock, not that she really cared. He looked ready to lift her out of the bed.

"I told Willow I'm not interested... Just leave me alone..."

She turned away, looking out the window again. She found that she liked the view. The landscape was well-kept, probably not by Vladan... she couldn't imagine him gardening... But the elegant plants and crisp hedges were beautiful, and there was a fountain that she could hear at night if she left the window open... It was relaxing and it helped her keep her mind off of everything else...

"I want you to stop being miserable." Vladan said solidly. "You're in my house, you play by my rules. Willow says it's 'family' night, so everyone is going to go out and get dinner together." He moved in quickly, picking her up in his arms. If he wasn't wrong, she certainly felt a lighter since he had last done this.

"You lost weight." He said, brows furrowing in something resembling annoyance.

(Somewere close by) (im joining roleplay ⊙W⊙)
Adele chambers sat by a lake, dippimg her feet in, sending ripples upon ripples fanning out into the icy blue water. Sighing she got up and walked over to a bench. She felt weird. She felt lonely, confused, calm, and aggravated. After finding out she was one of the enabled, different from everybody else, she felt alone. When other people found out, they treated her like some kind of freak. Why couldnt she just live a normal life? Why did her friends shune her? Why was she so alone? Why cant i just be normal? I said. then i sobbed softly for what seeemed like forever. I got up then walked over to the edge of the water. I looked in. I saw me. Who i am. What i am. Just because i can move things with my mind, i was a freak? A monster? Someone to be feared? No. Im NOT a freak. NOT a monster. Im HUMAN.
At least, i think so... . I started on my way home, walking along the street at night was creepy. It looked like a ghost town/ghost street. I walked by several dark alleyways, thats just begging for something to happen.i ran the whole 5 blocks home. After i walked in i locked the door, and slumped against it. It felt like someone was watching me, watching me run, all the way home. The though sent shivers down my spine. From now on im not going alone to the park at night. Mom! Im home! Im shouted. I walked into the kitchen and sat down, there was a note. It read (im going out tonight with your dad, watch emma
For us and feed the cat.). Emma? I shouted. Come here. Sissy! She came runnnung down the stairs in a big t-shirt. Your home adele! I was only gone for like 20 minutes. It felt like forever! I thought you weren't coming back, so i can have your room and all your stuff! Dont go in my room. Ok? Alright. Im going to go play eggcave now! She ran upstairs. I threw myself on the couch and fell asleep.

Kita glared at him, but didn't struggle. She knew it would be no good. Even at her best, Vladan was stronger than she was...

"Look... I don't want to go. Why can't you people just leave me alone...?" She said, colder than she intended. It was the first time she'd spoken with him in a week... Why was she so angry? "Since when to you care what I do? I can understand the other two, but you've seemed quite content to avoid me this long... Why on earth do you suddenly care if I go with you guys...?"

"Just leave me alone..."

"You're making this harder than it has to be." Vladan said in a tone rivaling Kita's in frigidity. He began heading down the hall. "I needed time to think." Vladan admitted. "To sort through my thoughts." The man stopped suddenly, several dozen feet away from the top of the stairwell.

"I couldn't leave you alone if I tried." He said bitterly, before making his way down the stairs.
