James followed Willow's instructions. Even though he knew they were there for Willow's work, he couldn't help but tense up as they passed through the gates. Too many poor memories there...He parked the truck in the designated area and waited for Willow to lead him in. He had very little experience entering a prison as a civilian... He had plenty entering as a prisoner...---------Kita smiled gently as she approached the receptionist."I have an appointment." She said smoothly, her fingertips running up and down her arm absentmindedly."I was not aware of any appointments this afternoon..." she said, looking confused.Kita smiled, something dark tinting her pleasant demeanour. Her eyes flashed blue, and the receptionist looked startled, then immediately relaxed as the power Kita borrowed from a street vendor outside of the building took effect."Right this way, miss."@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~Willow motioned lightly for James to follow her. "This way." She said, stepping past the guards once they had opened the heavy set doors. "Thank you." She said, smiling lightly at the guards. The woman moved towards the front desk at a quick pace, stopping only to give her name to the woman working the table."Willow Zinciri. The warden sent for me.""What about him?" She said, pointing her pen in James direction."My assistant." Willow replied."Alright, head on in."Willow headed towards another set of doors, this one leading down a rather long hallway. There was an elevator near the end of the corridor, and she pushed the button pointing down."You can come in with me." Willow said. "Usually I get assigned to 2 or more patients, and my job is to patch them up--whether it be from a fight or self harm." She rubbed the back of her neck. "Most of the time they refuse my help, but it's nothing a bit of coaxing can't handle."She didn't mention how heavily she judged her patients. She also didn't mention that if they proved too difficult to handle, she would make the executive decision to take their life force under false pretense that she couldn't save them."Are you ready?" She asked, as the elevator reached it's proper floor.
dada_dragon • 20 December 2016 at 11:45 AM
"Sure." He said.He was feeling a nervousness though that he knew was irrational, and yet...Everything about this place made him uncomfortable... The guards... the white walls... it was all a reminder of the darkest point in his life...@bunnyshadow

@dada_dragon ~~~The elevator doors slid open to reveal a large rounded room lined with cells. Thick one way mirrors served as the walls of the small rooms--so solid that if someone outside were to knock, the enabled locked inside probably wouldn't be able to hear it. Willow walked around the outer edge of the room, avoiding the center of which had several guards constantly pacing around the room and checking up on their prisoners. She nearly jumped when a loud crack resounded in the air. The woman turned to look inside the nearest cell, and saw the searing remains of a wayward fireball dying against the enabled's cell wall. Willow walked forwards, until she finally reached a heavy metal door labelled 'Medicational & Experimental Zone'. Large red letters saying 'DANGER' in all caps sat heavily atop the first label. The guard unlocked the door, typing in a long passcode that he kept hidden with his broad body. The door was opened, and it revealed a large center room with men and woman in sterilization uniforms, doctor's coats and heavy armor rushing in every which direction. "Doctor Zinciri?" A young man called out as he headed over. "I'm glad you could make it, you're going to be working with patient number..." He trailed off, flipping through his clipboard. "101 and 102. The first is the shapeshifter while the second is the cloaker. I recommend working with 101 first--he seems to be the more volatile one and it would be best if you calm him down so we can strap him up and send him to the new cell block." The man looked up, and a surprised look crossed his face. "Who's this?" He asked, pointing his pen at James."Assistant." Willow said, still processing the information that the man had given him. "Thank you, lead the way please."The man placed the pen behind his ear, before motioning for Willow and James to follow behind him. She followed him towards one of the corridors exiting the center room, where another guard typed in another passcode to only let another metal door slide open.Heavy steel doors lined the hallway, each with a solid red number above them. Several had none, and instead either said "Deceased" or "Correctioning". The latter somehow still managed to sound more gloomy than the first. It didn't take long until they reached door number 101. "James." She muttered under her breath warningly. The man unlocked the door, and it slid open with a loud click. The room was a lot larger on the inside than expected, considering how the large door was the only thing that one could see from outside. The walls were stained with marks of all sorts--blood, singe imprints, slashes and more.A table was located in the center of the room--the only article of furniture in vicinity. The sound of the door opening must have made patient 101 realize that he had visitors. He was strapped down to the table--legs, arms, chest and more. It was obvious that the fight he had was more than just a "brawl". It was probably more like a bloodbath from what she could see of the nasty looking wounds covering his body. Willow was surprised he even had enough energy to struggle past his restraints."Hello." She called out towards the patient. The woman remained near the entrance of the room when she spoke. "I will be your doctor for the day." She paused, watching as the man's struggling slowed at the word ´doctor´. "My name is Willow, and my assistant is named James. We are here to help you.""Please make this as easy as possible. I am not here to harm you, as much as you may think so." She said slowly. "I'm not a scientist, a guard, or even your enabled friend that did this to you.""Let me do my work without any problems and I'll put in a good word on your behalf."
dada_dragon • 20 December 2016 at 4:06 PM
James stood at the door, looking on in disbelief. This man...
bunnyshadow • 20 December 2016 at 4:33 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"You don't have to introduce you again, Willow." The man said gruffly, struggling against his restraints. "This isn't the first time you've been assigned to me.""Procedure." She said bluntly, walking forwards towards the man. "James?" The woman called out, noticing him still standing near the entrance of the room. "Come closer. You'll be fine."The man seemed to perk up suddenly, and he lifted his head up a little, glancing towards the entrance. His eyes widened in surprise, and then the corners of his bleeding lips lifted upwards in a large grin. "Hey man." He said. "Remember me?" He opened his hands, and sharp claws extended from his fingers. "I haven't seen you since I beat you and Frosty to the ground.""Speaking of which, where is he? Doctor Zinciri your new best friend now that's he's gone?"
dada_dragon • 20 December 2016 at 5:51 PM
James stepped closer, surprise replaced by anger."Don't act like you don't know what happened to him." He said, his voice lower than usual. "You're lucky they brought you here before I had the chance to get at you."There was a darkness in his eyes not unlike when he'd threatened Vladan."You cut him down... you killed him... What did he ever do to you, murderer?"@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 20 December 2016 at 8:00 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~The man laughed, and the claws sprouting from the tips of his fingers retracted back inside his skin. He placed his head back on the table, sweaty hair sticking to the blood covering his face. "Doctor." He said, turning to face Willow slowly. "Are you going to get working? I'm starting to feel nauseous."Willow grabbed James's arm warningly, almost as if to pull him back. She leaned in, whispering into his ear. "Is this man the one responsible for Xavior's death?" She asked quietly. "I..." The woman trailed off, before motioning for James to step further away from the patient."I could kill him for you." Willow mumbled. "I know how Vladan's men can be." She paused, looking at him understandingly. "I could make him suffer..." The woman knew what she was offering James, but she wasn't sure if it was to test him or because she actually was willing to do it.Maybe she just wanted to see if James was just as bad as Vladan--or anyone else associated with the power-hungry narcissistic maniac. "Doctor!" The patient called out cockily. "Why don't you let me go like you usually do...I promise I'll leave you untouched but your little friend on the other hand--I wouldn't mind tearing into him like I did his buddy.""James?" She said, ignoring the other man and listening intently for his response.
dada_dragon • 20 December 2016 at 8:51 PM
James wanted so badly to say yes. This was the man who had murdered his best friend... Now laughing in his face... As if it were some sick joke to him... How dare he?He could never forgive this monster...
bunnyshadow • 20 December 2016 at 9:42 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~Willow placed a hand behind James's neck, pulling him into a short, but comforting hug. "I am sorry." She whispered to James. Regardless of the man's reply, the woman was still inclined to make the patient suffer. Though she had only been assigned to him several times, she could tell that the man was definitely cruel beyond belief--worse off than Vladan she could probably say.The woman pulled back before turning to face the patient humming contentedly to himself at the table. Though she had never been specifically wronged by this man, she could feel anger on James's behalf...and Kita's as well. She stretched her fingers in front of her, before pacing over to the patient. Her brows arced downwards in anger, and her eyes traveled to the large open wound on the man's torso. She jabbed her hand inside the cut swiftly, causing the shapeshifter to howl in pain at the sudden intrusion of his flesh. A monster like this probably deserved every insufferable moment thrown his way. Willow twisted her hand, and the man screamed out loud again."W-Willow!" He wheezed pleadingly. "What was that?" She asked cruelly, in a way that was very unlike her timid self. The woman leaned in close to the man's head, whispering into his ear even as he strained painfully against his restraints. "I better hear you apologize to James." "If I die because of you the Warden will know it was no accident." The man said through grit teeth."You think you're gonna be the first?" She said with a scoff. A sharp white flush radiated from her bloody hand. The man's face softened as Willow's power did it's magic. The spark darted around the wound, knitting together broken tissue and muscle. The man let out a short breath when the wound was healed completely and absolutely scar free.Willow paced around the table, stopping behind the man's head. "I did my job, patient." She said stiffly into the man's ear. "Now you better apologize before I take back what's mine."The man laughed psychotically. "I've never apologized for a single thing my entire life.""Looks like it's going to be your first." Willow whispered bewitchingly. She took a seat on the edge of the table, placing a cold hand on the man's collar. There was a flicker of black, and then Willow's palm began to get wrapped in a wispy black shadow that trailed around the area she was touching him at.The man howled loudly in pain several short seconds later. She allowed him to suffer for quite a bit, her thin smile clearly proving she was enjoying the energy she was stealing. Willow was knocked out of her revelations quickly when..."I-I'm sorry James!" Willow pushed further."Sorry for what?" She said threateningly."Sorry for killing the ice wielder--" The man coughed out in pain."What was his name?" Willow pushed."Xavior-" His yelling ceased into heavy, wheezing breaths when Willow pulled her hand back. She wiped her hand against her clothes, before beginning to tend to his other wounds. The patient remained silent for the rest of the procedure.
dada_dragon • 20 December 2016 at 10:43 PM
James didn't say anything. He should have, but he didn't. He should have told her to stop, should have said it wasn't worth it, but he said nothing. There was guilt there, certainly... He had never been very good about watching people suffer. But there was something else too... Satisfaction maybe? He didn't enjoy it, but he did feel that the man deserved it.He looked away, disregarding the man's apology. He didn't mean it. It was empty.
bunnyshadow • 20 December 2016 at 11:37 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"I'll see you around, 101." Willow said, tugging her collar. "I look forward to tending to you once again." She said with a blank smile. The woman glanced over at James to see the healer looking away. She sighed, moving to give him a comforting pat but stopped herself when she realized how dirty her hands were.Willow stepped around James, before pushing a button on the wall. "I'm finished." She said into the speaker. The door clicked noisily, before sliding open."You're something else, doctor."Those were the last words she heard before the heavy door slammed shut behind them. The second it was shut, she stumbled over to the opposite wall, before throwing up on the floor. The sight of gore still bothered her no matter how much she saw or dealt with it.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 12:19 AM
James flinched as Willow threw up. He was grateful that he didn't actually need to make physical contact with the wound when he healed... He just had to have his hands placed near it..."Are you alright?" He asked tentatively.
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 12:35 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Y-yeah." Willow stuttered. "I'm uh...not very fond of blood. It makes me feel queasy and uncomfortable." She turned to see the man with the clipboard unlock the door labeled 102. Before stepping in, she turned to face James. "Would you like to work on this one?" Willow asked."I'm sure he was just another victim under the shapeshifter. I got told that the two of them got into a nasty little brawl."--"Paperwork...More paperwork...And what's this? More annoying paperwork." Vladan said angrily as he flipped through the pages. His front door slammed shut behind his back, and he dropped his car keys onto the nearest table. The house seemed relatively empty. Either everybody was resting or outdoors enjoying as much of their freedom as possible. He cracked his neck, the loud noise satisfying to his ears.Vladan began flipping through the papers again, once he had taken a seat in the living room couch. One of the dogs lounged lazily on the furniture, and the young man shooed the animal away. He pulled a pen out from one of the pockets in his suit jacket, before signing off a section or two of the papers. He leaned back with a sigh, placing the pen on top of the stack. Vladan reached up, rubbing his tired eyes slowly.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 1:26 AM
"Sure." He said, walking up to the patient. He needed to get his mind off of things. He approached the patient, who was much less aggressive than the other man, though he still gave James a nasty look as he approached."I'm just going to fix you up, okay?" He said firmly. "You don't have to like me, you just have to let me work."The man looked away, seemingly fine with the arrangement.James inspected his wounds. It seemed like he'd gotten off better than the other guy, but not by much."Thanks, by the way." James said as he began to patch up his wounds."For what?" He asked grumpily."For giving that arrogant creep what was coming to him."The man looked up at him, confused, but then a knowing look crossed his face."You knew that guy he killed back in South Gate, didn't you?" He asked. "He always bragged about it... said he murdered him right in front of his friend... a healer... that was you..."James simply nodded and continued to work."That's low.." the man said, frowning as James realigned a broken rib. "You should warn me if you're gonna mess around with my insides, boy.""Just let me do my job." He said coldly. "It'll be easier that way."The man smirked. "Sure kid... you do that..."James finished up, then looked over at Willow."He's all good. If you want to patch up the scars, you can."
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 6:00 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~Willow watched with curious eyes as the scene unfolded. With every word the patient said, the woman only felt more justified by her mistreatment of the other man. "It'll be fine." Willow said. "Scars are usually lesson enough for people to stop getting out and starting fights....it's one of the reasons why I refused to get rid of Vladan's. But it looks like his scar didn't and isn't going to teach him a lesson any time soon."--Vladan looked up at Kita. Relief appeared on his face for a split second, before it switched back to an emotionless poker face. "Yeah." He admitted, moving to pick up the pen. "Believe it or not, I still have to work hard to make sure I have enough money to fund the things I need." By need, Vladan knew that it was a lie. He didn't need a garage filled with an array of expensive cars. He didn't need a mansion large enough to house several families when he only lived by himself. "What did you do today?" He asked as he picked up the next packet of papers and flipped through them.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 11:36 AM
James nodded."Are we all done here?" He asked anxiously. He still didn't like this place...
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 11:49 AM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Yeah, for sure." Willow said with a thin smile. "We can leave now, correct?" She asked, glancing at the same scientist that had unlocked the doors for them. He nodded, and she gave him a halfhearted wave. "Alright, we know the way back--thank you for having us."--His shoulders tensed at first from Kita's touch, before relaxing significantly. "Yeah..." He trailed off, before placing the files on the table. Vladan picked up the next packet, trying his best to ignore her closeness."Not until I finish this. I have a meeting tomorrow morning." He muttered. The man glanced up now and for the first time since last night, he decided to acknowledge her existence.Vladan spared her a small smirk. "You're a bit touchy today aren't you?" He said arrogantly. "How about you wait until I finish my work?" He said, leaning in teasingly.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 11:58 AM
James climbed into the truck, glad to be outside of the building once again..."Back to the house, I guess?"
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 12:44 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Yeah. It's getting quite dark." Willow admitted. "Thank you for coming with me today. And I'm sorry about...him."--"I don't avoid people." Vladan said bluntly. "I just don't have time to fool around with you when I have work to focus on." He said, forcing himself to move on to the next page. Though he was flipping the pages, he wasn't even bothering to read any of the paperwork.Kita was too distracting. He turned to her now, moving in close. "You're doing this on purpose aren't you, darling?" His low voice underlining his nearing aggression.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 12:59 PM
"It's alright... I just... It was a surprise is all..."He began driving back to the house."He caused us a lot of suffering... I didn't expect to have to face him again... but he's a coward... I'm glad I did..."
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 2:26 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Are you going to tell Kita about it?" Willow asked curiously. --Her words certainly struck a chord inside of him. He wasn't one to follow orders, but those orders just seemed so appealing that he couldn't refuse her command.Vladan honestly wasn't sure what overcame him. Maybe it was the way she had been acting lately. Maybe it was the way she was just so close, so obtainable and so there at that very moment. Something just wasn't quite right about the way her eyes flashed and the way she smiled, but he decided to ignore it. He decided to ignore it all when he finally closed the space between them. Vladan automatically placed one hand on Kita's waist, and his free hand on hers. He kissed her lightly at first, enjoying his first taste and touch of her lips on his, before his hunger took it's toll. The kiss became less of an romantic movement, and more of out of need. It was ruthless and aggressive and strong and dominating--everything that Vladan ever stood for in one kiss. He leaned in close, grabbing her wrists with both of his hands and roughly pinning her down under him on the couch. It was too late for him to pull back now, though every fiber of his being screamed for him to do so. He didn't care anymore. He had gotten what he wanted, finally after over a month of waiting, he had gotten Kita in his arms, and he most definitely did not and was not going to let her go.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 2:48 PM
He pulled into the garage, parking his car before he responded."I don't know... maybe when she's back to normal... if that ever happens..."He climbed out of the vehicle, opening the door to the house. It was quiet. Perhaps Vladan had not yet arrived... but that couldn't be true... The car he'd taken that morning was in the garage..."Hello?" He called out tentatively. There was no response. He sighed, walking to the kitchen when he heard movement in the living room."Vladan, is that...?"He stopped dead in his tracks as he opened the door.No.@bunnyshadow
Orderedchaos • 21 December 2016 at 2:59 PM
@bunnyshadow @dada_dragon This is a friendly reminder that part of Egg Cave's rules is "No romance roleplaying." The last post is right on that line and things should not be taken any further.
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 3:05 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~Vladan cringed at the all too familiar voice that echoed around the living room. He pulled away from Kita, turning towards the door to face James. The man was speechless for several seconds--what else was he to say in a situation like this?--before he reverted back to his cool demeanor. He cleared his throat, casually running his hand through his hair(probably way too casually considering how he probably just tore James's heart out and sent it through a paper shredder."Don't look at me like that." Vladan said bluntly, moving away from Kita and standing up. "It's just a kiss." --Willow could feel the air grow heavy, almost as if it was preparing for the upcoming standoff. She winced at Vladan's words...they certainly wouldn't be helping the situation. The woman reached out, grabbing James by the arm."It's not worth it." She said quietly.[edit] @orderedchaos Alright, thanks for the reminder.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 3:08 PM
@Orderedchaos Sorry. We were using it as a means to set up a confrontation, but we shall take care to dial it back. 😸
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 4:38 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"No trust." Vladan said, confused. The man was confused, annoyed, lost at what he had done. There was no way he would act this out of ordinary. He stepped backwards, putting distance between him and James. Vladan was struck between his pride and what little morals he had...he knew he was in the wrong but he also knew that ther was no way he was going to apologize for anything he had done.He made his choice, but James was already up in his face. The man saw James reach up to grab the front of his jacket, and Vladan decided that it was it. "I..." Vladan trailed off hesitantly. "It wasn't--" James's close proximity made his anger flare."Get your hands off me, peasant!" He sai threateningly, throwing the first fist.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 6:42 PM
James grabbed his wrist."I warned you... Don't cross me."Vladan might not have been able to feel pain, but he could certainly make it harder for him to fight...He forced his wrist into a bent position and solidified the bone to lock it in place. He let go, as if daring him to try again.@bunnyshadow
bunnyshadow • 21 December 2016 at 7:05 PM
@dada_dragon ~~~"Come on, boy." Vladan said condescendingly. "I'm untouchable." He said, ripping his hand out of James's grasp. "You want to play dirty?" The man growled, reaching up to swing his elbow in an uppercut at his opponent's face. He let out a low wolf whistle, and the sound of claws hitting the linoleum echoed down the corridor.Ferocious barking sounded noisily in the house as Vladan's large pair of dogs came hurling down the stairs and towards James.
dada_dragon • 21 December 2016 at 7:23 PM
James backed up, watching both dogs and waiting for one to make a move. Finally, one lunged for him. James grabbed its head and forced it to fall asleep. The other dog, meanwhile, had taken advantage of this and latched onto his leg. James cried out in pain as its teeth sunk in deep."How dare you even go near her... You creep." He moved to incapacitate the second dog, but it released his leg and grabbed his hand instead. He reached for it with his other hand, finally managing to get the dog to relax into a deep sleep, but he was in bad shape. He wasn't going to let that stop him."Too scared to fight me yourself, Vietkov?"@bunnyshadow
