#CampHowlerThe camp isn't perfect. The directors seem a bit weird and the neighborhood people are quite odd. But it's not the reason why hardly anyone attends. Beside the camp is a overgrown bush, and rumor has it that it will change anyone who dares to visit. According to the stories, The woods are home to creatures that only inhabit your semiconscious, and rise to prowl the paths at night. The name of the bush is Howler Woods, and with a name like that, urban legends have accumulated over the years to settle in its shadows like flakes of dust in a cobweb. The question is, are they real?To maximize profits, Camp Howler runs all summer holiday, and it is ridiculously cheap compared to other camps. In fact, it's more of a tourist trap than a camp. But there are still those who attend...FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO JOIN THE RP:This role play is perfect for people who enjoy Gravity Falls/ FNAF/ Dr Who/ warriors/ Harry Potter/ Percy Jackson/ Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children/ Undertale /Adventure Time/ Steven UniverseESPECIALLY GRAVITY FALLS!!!!!!!!CHARACTERS:@audrei9 ~ Ryan Sharatt, Max Haith@lailaluckyseal87 ~ Ashlynn (Ash) Schama@shadow_girl ~ Enna Dansalette@splashnose ~ Elizabeth Kytte, Charles KnightlyName: Age: Gender: History: Reason for attending: Looks: Personality: Other: I'll fill one in to give you guys an idea of how this works. Name: Ryan SharattAge: 12Gender: maleHistory: his mother was a nurse who usually worked with the people who drove ambulances, so she was away a lot. His father was a surgeon at the local hospital, so his days were usually quite stressful and he would usually come home grumpy. Neither of them had enough energy to pay their son much attention. Reason for attending: one summer vacation, things got really hard at the hospital where his parents worked, forcing them to work even longer hours. Eventually things got so bad that they couldn't even afford to feed three people. They were forced to send their son to Camp Howler, as it was the cheapest and longest running compared with other camps. Ryan felt miserable being sent away from them, but he was able to hide it. He smilingly told his family that he wanted some outdoor time and that he wanted to satisfy his craving for adventure.Looks: Ryan is small, and he looks younger than he is. But he is an extremely fast runner. He has brown hair, darkish skin and green eyes. Personality: because both his parents were doctors, Ryan knows a fair bit about medical science. He knows how to treat insect bites, cuts, scrapes, bruises, sunburn and recognize poisonous plants. Ryan is naturally curious and quick thinking, he is also quite kind and selfless. However, he can also be a bit annoying and impulsive.Other: has arachnophobia.

She was very skinny and nearly died of starvation when she managed to get a hold of her mom's phone and call the police when she was 9. Her parents went to court and were forced to change their ways, Ash was still hungry, had a small room, and was forced to do chores, and had to deal with being tormented by her 3 brothers. (Her parents only wanted boys) when she ran away from home.Reason for attending: Ash was fed up with her life. She stole three hundred dollars from her parents and ran away to Camp Howler.Looks: Ash has long brown hair that reaches the bottom of her rib-cage. She is 5'2'' with many freckles and greyish blue eyes. Personality: Ash is very skilled, and quick witted. She has great balance and is great at climbing. Even though she was never allowed to go to school she is still very intelligent because she stole her brothers textbooks at night. She is brave and a dare devil, dare her to do anything and she will do it. She is very kind and caring, she trusts others easily and will do anything to make friends. She has heard about Camp Howler and wishes to explore the daring woods. She is good at comebacks and always used to fight against her parents wills.Other: She is a bit afraid of the woods, but still wants to explore them.@audrei9 Longest form I ever made. @audrei9 I'll join, why not!Name: Enna DansaletteAge: 12Gender: femaleHistory: Although she comes from a family living in the middle of a city, Enna has a almost obsessive fascination with plants. She spends most of her time doodling different plants in her notebook, labeling the samples. Her mother and father are both office workers, and although they certainly try to spend time with their daughter, it just doesn't usually work out. To supposedly make up for this, they let her do whatever she wants. Which is...STUDY PLANTS!!! Reason for attending: She spent so much time alone studying her obsession/fascination that her parents became worried about her social skills, and although she protested ("I don't wanna go! I'm fine! Don't worry about me..."), she was still sent to Camp Howler. Her parents think that she'll be able to study plants there as well as make new friends. Mmm hmm...Looks: Enna has straight, shoulder length blond hair and brown-green eyes that seem to changeâbrown in the dark, green in the sunlight. She's tall, 5 foot 4 inches, and has pale skin.Personality: Shy. Very very very shy. She can be a good friend, but doesn't really stand up for herself or others. She backs down easily and mostly keeps to herself. However, she is good at planning ahead and evaluating situations. She's very logical.Other: um...she was bullied, and is sort of afraid of people.

@audrei9 Name: Elizabeth KytteAge: 14Gender: Female History: Elizabeth Kytte, daughter of Riley Kytte a small fashion designer. Her motherâs work is recognised overseas, so only the international students know how much of a fuss she is. Which is lucky for Elizabeth, she has close friends which she can trust. Her father divorced from her mother when she was eight, taking her twin brother and younger sister with him. Thatâs the only reason sheâs able to do whatever she wants. So Elizabeth spends her days doing nothing. Her mother wants her to follow in her footsteps, which Elizabeth does not want. She spends most of her time playing video games, reading, watching cartoons (Sometimes anime) and is interested with mythology and anything supernatural.Reason for attending: Apparently this camp is linked with supernatural activity, which struck Elizabethâs eye. Due to her eagerness to attend this camp, her mother allowed it.Looks: Elizabeth is a tall girl whoâs big-boned (Sheâs wide, but itâs not fat). She has a brown ponytail, which reaches to her shoulder blades and green eyes.Personality: Elizabeth can be described as fun and outgoing. Most of the time she can be level headed, but sometimes she can be too headstrong for her own good. If someone offends her she can throw some good insults and sass their pants off, if sheâs in the mood.Other: She carries around a sactual with her notebook and some other books. If anyone takes her bag she will grab out her swiss army knife and kill them, or at least cut them.

@splashnose Eliza is accepted!!@shadow_girl @lailaluckyseal87 Ryan laid his head against the humming window of the camp bus, watching the landscape fly past in a blur of colour. Dark, red hills wound away in the distance, speckled with splashes of green. His suitcase and sleeping bag were stored away in the compartment above his seat, but with all the juddering he felt sure that they would be flung out the moment the door went loose. His backpack lay in his lap. Ryan felt the urge to unzip it and read his novels, but before the trip his mother had specially instructed him NOT to read in a bumpy car, as it could be very bad for his eyes. He knew she was right, because she was the townâs optometrist. Boredom and sadness were a bad mix. There werenât many kids in the bus, and the ones that were there usually sat in pairs. Ryan was left alone by himself, but if he stood up to look around the bus driver would snap at him. He knew that Camp Howler was a long way out of town, because they hadnât passed a single building in over an hour. For the hundredth time, his thoughts went back to the city. He wondered how his parents were feeling back in the city. Surely, without their son to care for they would be able to spend more time at work. They wouldnât have to do as much shopping or cooking without him around, and it should be beneficial to them for their career. Ryan felt a dull ache in his chest the moment he thought of his parents. They must be missing him too, but it was for their good. He loved them dearly, and now he wasnât going to see them for the rest of summer. That would be three months in a strange place, out in the woods, on his own. âHey.â A hand tapped him on the shoulder. Ryan stiffened and swivelled in his seat to find a hand reaching out from a gap between the bus seats. The arm withdrew and a freckly, brown eyed face appeared at the gap. âYou bored?âNot knowing what to say, Ryan nodded. âHello, Iâm Ryan Sharattâ He introduced himself, aiming to strike up a conversation. âIâm Max Haith.â Replied the boy, speaking with a thick British accent. âCan I come over?âRyan nodded, and the Max grabbed the edge of the isle seat and clambered into the seat next to him.âHey Max. Are you exited for the Camp?â Ryan asked, eying the Christen cross that hung on Maxâs neck. Max nodded enthusiastically. âI really wish the bus would take less time though. Apparently thereâs a bunch of urban legends surrounding those woods surrounding Camp, and thatâs where weâre going hiking and horse-riding. Iâm glad that Jesus would be here to protect me, or else I wouldnât have dared to accept my parentâs offer. They recon Iâve spent too much time in front of the telly watching batman movies. But when I grow up Iâll become a movie director! Thatâll show them.ââWait, weâre going horse riding?!â exclaimed Ryan. Max nodded, and slumped back into his seat. âTo be honest, I never really liked horses. My parents used to live in the countryside, and the neighbours had horses. First time I fed them, they bit me on the hand.âRyan gave a chuckle and patted Max on the arm. âI donât think itâll be that bad. Just keep away from their mouth and donât stand behind them. My dad had to treat a kid for a broken leg âcause she was standing behind some racehorse and it trod on her. Iâm sure it didnât mean to kick her, but horses tend to be a bit clumsy sometimes.âMax smiled.

@audrei9 @splashnose @lailaluckyseal87 should we start the role-play in a new thread? Or not? (correct me if I'm wrong...)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Enna listens quietly to the boy's conversation. Horses are nice. She used to spend a lot of time with her grandparent's horses, Sugar and Spice. She'd stay hidden in the meadow, drawing flowers and occasionally watching the two graze. It worked out perfectly. The two groups mostly left each other alone. Then they moved away, and her grandparent's house was too far away to visit. She goes back to her notebook. Detailed drawing of various plants cover the pages. Flipping back, she sees the flowers she drew at the time. There are so many that it's hard to count. Closing her eyes, she tries to name them in her head. Pretty soon she falls asleep.

Elizabeth was placed at the back of the bus, her stuff placed beside her to shield her from other people. Sheâd try some socialising when they arrived at camp. She held a large brown book close to her chest. This was her life. Everything she had studied, using old folk tales, myths, legends and some of her knowledge of animal and human biology, was poured into this book. It was like a mythological encyclopaedia. She had a few of these books, some focused on a certain species, but she decided to bring her âextrasâ just in case something happened. Some may say that these books were a waste of time, but Elizabeth would beg to differ.Elizabethâs gaze was focused outside, her mind elsewhere. She had never been to a summer camp before. Her mother would sometimes take her on a vacation, mainly where she was needed. Sometimes she was used as a mannequin. Elizabeth didnât mind, she enjoyed helping her mother. But she doesnât want to become her. Sometimes sheâd get to keep the early designed clothes, which is a bonus. It meant that no-one else in the world would be wearing what she was. It helped Elizabeth feel more unique and special. No-one could replace her because no-one was her.Her thoughts drifted to her farther. Ever since he left, she hadnât heard anything from him. Part of her wanted to see her siblings again. Especially Edward. They were close, due to the fact that they were twins. If Elizabeth was hurt, Edward would be there. He always was. Maybe one day they would meet.@shadow_girl @audrei9 @lailaluckyseal87

@splashnose @shadow_girl @lailaluckyseal87Don't worry, I'm keeping track of everyone đ Ryan leaned back in his seat, feeling a bit better now that he had made a new friend. "How long are you staying in camp?" he asked Max.Max shrugged."Dad says that I can stay as long as I like, but the minimum time is two weeks."Ryan slowly nodded, then turned to stare out the window. "You know what you said about ghosts?""Uh, what ghosts?""You mentioned something about urban legends earlier, I thought it included ghosts."Max shrugged."Yeah, I don't believe in ghosts. Ghosts are stories made for scaring little children into behaving."He put on a high pitched, nagging voice."Don't go out of bed at night Tommy, or the Bogeyman will get you!"He stuck out his tongue and waggled his fingers. Ryan couldn't help laughing. "Nice one, Max!""Thanks, Ryan."Ryan smiled. "I thought you might be interested in hearing this, but I did some research before coming on this trip. Apparently Camp Howler was closed one year because some Hollywood guys thought it would be a fun idea to shoot a movie there."Max's eyes widened in excitement. "Really? What's it called?""I'm a bit sorry to tell you this, but the movie was never released. The newspaper article stated that the director never explained why they never released the movie, but apparently the film was a horror film based on a bunch of disturbing urban legends from around the countryside. In that case, I'm feeling a bit creeped out right now. You were mentioning urban legends earlier, and now it seems related to this horror movie that was never released."Max couldn't hide his disappointment at the news of the movie that was never released, but seemed a bit frightened when Ryan linked it with the urban legends. "Okay, t-that's a bit silly. Of course ghosts aren't real. Right?"He sounded a bit more than uncertain.Ryan shrugged. "I don't want to believe that ghosts are real, but there's usually a reason why people make stories like that. If you made a story about the botanic gardens, no one will believe you. This is why ghost stories and other weird stuff is usually related to graveyards and forests, because people feel strange in these places and don't visit them often."Max looked confused."But Howler woods is right next to camp, and that's where we're going bushwalking and stuff. I'm pretty sure that the place gets frequently visited, even if it's only about once a week by the locals."Ryan's face turned serious."In that case, something must have happened in Howler woods to spur these Urban Legends. It might be the fact that Howler Woods has a creepy name, or perhaps people have seen things lurking in the trees. It's possible there might have been a murder there."Max gulped."You're k-kidding right?""I'm not meaning to scare you, I'm just speculating what happened in Howler Woods that made it so feared." replied Ryan.

Elizabethâs ears pricked when she heard the mention of ghosts. She tried to listen into their conversation, but remembered that eves dropping was bad. So she stopped. Elizabeth leaned back on her chair.âThatâs a big wall you built for yourself, princess,â A voice broke her thought. She turned her head and saw a male leaning on her bags. Her green eyes scanned over the boyâs face. Blond hair and hazel eyes, a combination sheâs rarely seen. âMind if I break down these walls?â He asked.âSure,â Elizabeth replied, grabbing her sactual and placing it on her lap. The male picked up her bags and placed them at the top of the bus.âAfraid?â He asked.âWhy would you ask that?â She huffed.âDonât people build walls to protect themselves?ââWhat about if that person wants to be alone?ââIf you really wanted to be alone would you be talking to me?ââMaybe I was done being alone?ââPoint taken.ââNot another question?ââYou could continue this all bus trip, couldnât you?ââCould I?âThe boy chuckled, then held out his hand. âCharles.ââElizabeth.â@shadow_girl @audrei9 @lailaluckyseal87

@splashnose @shadow_girl @lailaluckyseal87 Might as well make a form for Max, as he's probably gonna be here for some time...Name: Max Haith Age: 12 Gender: male History: His dad and mum were really serious on Christianity, so it kind of rubbed off on him. Reason for attending: His parents were sick of him sitting in front of their television all the time, as they were worried about his health. Camp Howler happened to be extremely cheap, so that was where they sent him. They really want him to be fitter. Looks: Max is scrawny and small, he has pale skin, his eyes are the exact brown as his hair. Personality: He is what some people describe as a slacker, as he gets tired easily and is often too nervous to try anything new. However, Max is a lovable person with a big heart. He is very serious about religion. Other: Can be a bit weird sometimes._____________________________________Without warning, the bus squealed to a stop, the tires skidding loudly over the road. Kids cried out in surprise. Ryan bounced off his seat, and his chest hit the seat in front of him."Oof! that hurt.As he slid back in his seat, his heart still pounding, the bus driver stood up and turned to us, leaning heavily into the isle. "Aaah!" several loud gasps filled the bus as they stared at his horrific face. His skin was like gravel, it hung off his face like the scales of a rotting fish. A pair of twisted tusks protruded from his wide, gawking mouth. The driver roared so loud, the windows rattled and several kids shrieked in terror, diving under the seats. Max yelped and tried to clamber to the window, but ended up in Ryan's lap. Then Ryan heard laughter at the front of the bus. He raised himself out of his seat to look, to see the bus driver holding a scary monster mask. His face was perfectly normal! The driver laughed, enjoying his little prank. "This gets ya every time!" He chuckled, shaking the mask. A few kids laughed along with him, but most were too shocked or annoyed to think it was funny. The driver cranked a lever next to his seat, and the doors of the bus slid open with a whoosh of air. Ryan could hardly contain his excitement. "Max, we've arrived!" he whispered happily. Max was still half tangled in his lap, but he managed to sit upright before anyone saw him. "Jeez, I can't believe that anyone thought it could be funny..."

Ash gets off the bus carrying her bags and trips. She blushes at the unfortunate, abnormal advent. Normally she never trips and is very balanced. She sighs as she looks around at all her stuff. Her bag had broken and opened. She began to pick up her stuff embarrassed.

@splashnose @shadow_girl @lailaluckyseal87"Okay then, time for some fun!" called the bus driver. He got up just as there was a rush for the door. Max got up, but Ryan grabbed his hand. "Let's stay for a while, we'll have a better time leaving when everyone else is gone."Ryan wiped at the dirt covering the window at the bus with his sleeve, attempting to view the camp in clarity. To his disappointment, the view showed nothing but trees and shrubs. To his confusion, the other side seemed to show the same thing!"Max, see any buildings?"Max shook his head. "It looks to me like we're in the middle of nowhere!" By that time, almost everyone had gotten off the bus. The boys heaved up their luggages and headed off to the door. As Ryan reached the door he noticed a girl on the ground. She seemed to have tripped and fallen as she was picking up books and other items around her. Gently, he knelt down and began to help her pick them up."Hey, are you alright?"

"yeah, I'm ok." Ash says blushing. "Normally I am good with balance but..." She trails off as she picks up a big spider. "Hey little guy. @lailaluckyseal87 @splashnose @shadow_girl "You might want to clean that wound, or else bacteria might invade." Ryan informed, helping the girl to her feet. "In the city there is less chance of infection, but this is the country and there are lots of really strange types of things in the dirt."He helped Ash to her feet before looking around. "Wait... where the heck are we?"There was nothing around them but trees. There was a circle of logs in in the dirt, which Ryan suspected was a campfire, but nothing else. Max looked equally as bewildered. Then before they could say anything else, the bus squealed off in a cloud of dust. "Okay, so us kids have been left in the middle of nowhere in a creepy forest that has rumoured to be haunted." grumbled Max. "Very good."Ryan bumped him arm to make him feel better."You kidding? Camp hasn't even really begun yet!""I guess we'll just have to sit down for a couple of minutes and wait for Camp Director to reach us. Maybe he wants us to go on a treasure hunt or something."

Ash looks down at her wound. "I'll clean it once I get a chance." She says to Ryan. "You're good at stuff like that, are't you?" She looks around and sees the wilderness. She smiles. "great! Elizabeth looked at the circled logs. She sighed and moved over to sit down. If they were going to wait she'd may as well get comfortable. Most people had gotten themselves into a small group and Elizabeth thought that she'd go speak to people after the camp instructors came."Not the social type?" Charles asked, striking up conversation again."I'll socialize later," Elizabeth replied, opening her sactual."What's in that bag?" Charles asked."Books," She replied, taking one out."Mythology, huh. Didn't think you'd be into that, princess," He noted, almost sounded impressed."You'd be surprised." Elizabeth opened the book to a random page and started reading."That's a lot of information," Charles muttered under his breath as he read over her shoulder.
audrei9 • 11 June 2016 at 7:58 AM
@lailaluckyseal87 @splashnose @shadow_girl Ryan grinned. "Yep, wouldn't it be awesome? Oh, and by the way, my parents are doctors. They're always telling me how important it is to stay healthy and stuff, so yeah. By the way, my name's Ryan and this is my friend Max." he bumped Max gently on the arm. A very faint sound was coming from a path winding off into the woods, and it seemed to be getting louder by the second. "Guys, I hear something!" muttered Max. "It sounds like..."Now everyone could hear it. Hoofbeats, clattering over stones and soft dirt. Then, almost if it had been rehearsed, three adults came riding out of the bushes. The tallest one- the man with the red hair- dismounted when he reached the centre of the log circle and raised his hand as if saluting someone. "Welcome everyone! Welcome to Camp Howler, where children's best dreams come true! I'm Uncle Davidson, the director of this camp. Here are the other two instructors, Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Gregory!"The instructors smiled and dismounted their horses as their names were called. Ryan believed that the female instructor, Charlotte, might be related to Uncle Davidson because she shared the same red hair and brown eyes as him. Uncle Greg wasn't as tall as Uncle Davidson, and he didn't have red hair, but he looked the youngest. "Okay kids! I hope all of you will have a great time at our camp!" announced Uncle Davidson. "Right now there's no need to do the role, because as most as you know, it's already been sorted out on the bus."Some people chuckled."I have a very good idea on how to introduce you people to this camp," Uncle Davidson continued. "From here on, I will give you each a map!" He reached down and picked up a bag, and handed it to Uncle Gregory. The instructor opened it to reveal what looked like a bunch of white envelopes. He handed one back to Uncle D, who then opened it. "Any problem with the map?" He held it up for all to see. Kids began to mutter amongst themselves, and as the noise increased, the instructors chuckled."Why the heck would it be blank?!" whispered Ryan. Max nodded in confusion. Uncle D gave the map a tap with his finger. "Okay, so we didn't print the entire place. But what better way to get used to Howler Woods than to map out the place? Of course, since these woods are really big, we instructors have already done parts of it for you!"He moved his finger over the page, tracing out the faint lines that cobwebbed over the paper. "See these lines? These are paths in Howler woods. Not all of them have been mapped, so you'll have plenty of fun seeking the other ones out! And here," his hand tapped on a red spot- "Here is the place we will be having campfires. You're here right now." His finger slid over the map, pointing out a river, a dam and some fences. Eventually he stowed the map away in his backpack."Okay kids! Now, I'm going to make one final announcement. Don't go outside the fence, or you're going to have to go through some extra land to explore! Also, a prize will be given to the kids who are the first to locate the cabins! All right, that's settled. Come and get a map, pencils and compass from this backpack, and after that, split up into groups. We're all looking forward to seeing you at the cabins!" he grinned. With that, he dumped his backpack on the ground and hopped on his horse. The other two instructors also mounted their steeds, and as they were riding away Aunt Charlotte called out one last piece of advise. "Don't forget to keep away from the mine shafts, kids!"Then they were gone.
