A few of my favourites are the ones where the parent grounds their child for getting detention/is suspended, then un-grounds them after finding out what the child did.

Example:
Child: Hey mom I got detention
Mom: What?? What happened and you're grounded
Child: Well when the teacher was standing in front of the chalk board she asked all idiots to stand up...
Mom: Ok so?
Child: I stood up and said to her: "Well I didn't want you to feel lonely"
Mom: You're ungrounded you just made my day and everyone else here at work too.
