Jess flew down to the cave in the tree. She sighed and tightly closed her wings. She couldn't look at Fabian's shocked face.


Fabian stared at her in shock and fear. She was feral and potentially dangerous.

Jess walked to the underwater lake without saying a word. She then sat by the lake and gently touched the fur on her face.


Fabian sighed. He followed Jess and sat by her. "You know, you have it easy..." He muttered to her.

Jess shuddered at what she had almost done. "How do i have it easy?" He gritted her teeth, ashamed of her reflection.


Fabian scooted closer to the girl. She seemed like a tough teenager, but teenagers are still children. Stress and terror could break any child's emotions. "You're still innocent. You still have time to change. I, on the other hand, am older and have done things nobody should ever be proud of..." Fabian trailed off.

.Patched got up once Juliet awoke. ``You awake Juliet?``. She chuckled.

Juliet- ``Yeeah!``.

Something in what Fabian had said made the last bit of self-control in Jess crumble. She bit her lip hard in a futile effort to keep from crying. She failed and threw her arms around Fabian, sobbing like when she had found her dead parents. "I..."(hic)"I know... But I..." She sobbed harder.


Fabian held Jess close, letting her cry. "I know... But you didn't. You didn't." Fabian said softly.

Jess hiccuped a few more times and released Fabian, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Thanks, Fabian..."


Fabian smiled in a way he hadn't smiled in forever.

Fabian gave Jess one last hug and stood up. He walked out of the cave.

Jade sat by the water all night, feeling crushing guilt and shame. Three times in the night, she broke down and cried her eyes out. In the morning, she felt dry and dead. She took a deep breath and stood, knowing she couldn't stay there forever.

Shadow:
Last night while i was still by the cave's lake, heard a conversation and lots of crying. I knew that it was the fox/phenox girl by her sent, though i was afraid to aproch thinking that every one would still hate me. In the moring she left to the main cave and i waited ten minutes before creeping up there as well. I glanced out and instantly lost my fear of rejection. There, standing in the open, was another part panther holding a part girl and fennec fox's hand. I stepped out of the shadows, my black bat wings behind my back and walked to them, forgetting the others were there. I was so happy that i wasn't the only panther person there. I slowly approched them and stopped a meter infront of them, cocking ny head to the side, trying to desiced if they were real or if it was my imagination.
