FireFlies turned around”You know this person?”FireFlies asked with a neutral tone”Oh,and I cannot see your memories without a projector and some other stuff.I would just search for a few things and look at the code in your robotic parts.Of course,if you don’t want me to,fine.But,I won’t let you travel with us.I’m not loosing him again unless it’s his will,and his will alone”FireFlies said.Not as a request,but more as a statement

Z-Tyla shrugged. "I don't want to come with you. I'm heading to the next town. I figure I'll travel with you until I get there." Z-Tyla said, her eyes flicking from Xander to FireFlies. "Yeah, I know her. After I was kicked out of school and my family was killed, Z-Tyla was the one who taught me how to survive on the street." Xander said.

Z-Tyla didn't remember any of these people. She only remembered Xander because Emily had told her about him. She decided to play along. "The scientists got me into their jeep and tied me up. I only escaped because of dumb luck. The door wasn't closed all the way. I got untied because I have blades on my left wrist. I cut the rope." She explained. It sounded like a good explanation to her.

Something about Z-Tyla seemed a little off to Azalea, but she just assumed that she was tired. "I'm glad you're okay. What about Victoria? Do you know what happened to her?"

"They took her with them. I tried to escape with her, but one of the scientists grabbed her before I could pull her out with me." Z-Tyla's calm expression turned to a -hopefully- regretful frown.

FireFlies just stood there watching every movement.Every expression.Every explanation”That’s a lie.With scientists,there’s no dumb luck.The door wouldn’t have been open either.Just think about it,when have you ever seen a careless scientist?Because I would like to meet them and see how careless they are when I magically escape with ‘dumb luck’I can tell from Azalea’s expression and Xander’s that they can tell something’s off about you.I know it isn’t because you’re tired.You have nothing on your body that says tired.When I escaped I went to college in Biology,Robotics,and Neuroscience.I just so happened to have excelled in all those things.You’re lying and have something to hide.May I ask what it is?” FireFlies said.She knew all these things just from expressions and taking Neuroscience.She knows all behaviors have reasoning,and this one means she’s hiding something.FireFlies still had the intimidating pale face with calm eyes

"If you don't believe in dumb luck, then tell me. How did you escape with Xander alive? Isaiah would have never allowed that. He wouldn't have let you live. And no. I an not going to tell you my secrets. They are mine and mine alone." Z-Tyla had a plan in mind. She didn't think it, however, because she didn't want it to be ruined. Xander walked closer to Z-Tyla.

“Because I know what i’m Doing.I don’t have to tell you how I got him.It wasn’t dumb luck either.I’ve been planning his escape for years,but I won’t tell you anymore.Even Xander doesn’t know the story”She said’secrets for secrets’she thought”Secrets are never kept by one person alone.Usually if it’s a secret worth knowing,there will be a few people involved that I could speak to”FireFlies said with experience.Her mind wandered to the day she got Xander.She knew all schedules of the scientists.All X’s.All scientists.Not in personal levels,but she knew them all as she has been watching the Lab for years.She mostly focused on Xander’s schedule and the scientists that visit him.She knows of Z-Tyla but never really thought of her.She knows that the girl standing in front of her is Z-Tyla and her schedule.FireFlies also knows that Z-Tyra had a check up in about 3 days’They must’ve rescheduled it’she thought.This is one reasons why FireFlies is so pale.She always waits until 5:30pm to get to the lab and leaves at 7:30am.She will go to her little hide out around 8:30am and think about everything she’s seen.She would sleep at 12Am.She has books and files on every X and every scientist.Of course she burned it all when she burned the cabin.She knows the important files,they are burned into her memory.She doesn’t know Z-Tyla’s file that well but knows a few things.To FireFlies,Z-Tyla was a normal X.Nothing particularly special about her to FireFlies.The only thing that FireFlies could never figure out was how everyone got there robotic parts,parents,where they come from before they go to the Lab,or any backstory of them really.Finding Out age was easy,the date they celebrate there birthdays.Every X gets there own,very small birthday cake and usually has the number on it.FireFlies knew about the experiment that was put on Xander about a week before the day she rescued him.She had planned everything accordingly.FireFlies’s face was still neutral.

"How long did it take you to google that quote? Thirty seconds? Nice and cheesy. Besides. You rescued him from the cabin, not the base itself." Z-Tyla said, her face showing no emotions. That wouldn't help her here.Xander looked from FireFlies to Z-Tyla. They were both good friends. He didn't want to hurt the feelings of either of them. So he did what had to be done. "Hey. Just give her a chance. Keep your eye on her." He said to FireFlies.

FireFlies tilted her head”How exactly would you know how I got him?And cheesy or not,it’s still true”She looked at Xander”Yeah,and I suppose you can also give the scientists another chance not to almost kill you”She snapped.

"I saw someone running off with him. It couldn't have been anyone else." Z-Tyla told her. "So what if they kill me? I'd rather be killed slowly and painfully than watch my friends argue about weather someone is trustworthy or not. I know her. She won't betray us.'' Xander said firmly.

“Well,you don’t know my magic or my technology so you can’t say it wasn’t me.But if you must know,I found Xander on the floor with wires hooked up to him and he fainted.So I picked him up,and started flying from the 3rd floor.I would tell you the details but I owe you no knowledge”FireFlies sighed.When she heard what Xander said”I won’t trust her for a while,but I suppose I will tolerate her if she means that much to you.But we will be traveling differently today.Today we are supposed to hike and have a gathering day and we will pick up the day after tomorrow”She said and walked up.She hated when Xander used himself against her.Her cat ears folded down when she was 10 yards away.She pulled out her daggers and climbed up a tree

Xander watched FireFlies go and when he was gone, he walked to Z-Tyla and gave her a huge hug. She didn't seem comfortable with that, but she awkwardly hugged me back anyway. Z-Tyla was extremely uncomfortable. She didn't know this person. Who was he, anyway? "Uh, I missed you too?" She said nervously. "Yeah, sorry. I missed you, I was worried and I know for a fact you didn't roll out of the truck. You have no dents." Xander said. Z-Tyls stiffened. Crap. That was a plot hole in the story. Shoot. "I... I got them fixed?" She tried. Xander laughed. "Sure." He said. He seemed to believe her. He turned back to Azalea. "Remember her?" He asked Azalea.

FireFlies looked into the distance.Xander had never agreed with FireFlies this whole time.He always trusted everyone else along the way.She didn’t feel trusted by him at all.She rubbed her eyes with frustration.She didn’t want another complication.FireFlies doesn’t know how she’s gonna handle all these people who have no idea where there going or doing.They are probably terrible survivalists from being locked up for so many years.FireFlies sighed”This will all be worth it..”She told herself.It sounded like she was trying to convince herself

"I missed you!" Azalea said to Z-Tyla. "Don't mind FireFlies. She doesn't really trust people she's just met. She was like that with me at first, honestly I still don't even know if she fully trusts me." She gives a small laugh, trying to lighten the mood.

"I wouldn't count on it. I sabotaged their base... On accident. I broke an electricity wire and it sparked onto a pile of wood. This was all in the place they store their gas. It's a stupid way to live and I'm surprised it hasn't happened before." Z-Tyla shrugs. She hoped they bought the story.

"I sure hope so." Z-Tyla said. "Her heart rate has increased dramatically. Should we be worried?" Emily asked, snacking on some jerky.

"Oh." Azalea replies. Azalea tells herself that she shouldn't feel sympathy for them. After all, they kept her locked up and experimented on her. But couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness."Maybe, she isn't the best liar, but Xander and Azalea are fairly gullible, so I don't think we need to be too worried." Isaiah says. "Can you hand me a piece?"

She had the distinct feeling that she should be sad too and that she should try to comfort this stranger, but that was the computer talking. Not her. "I'm uh, sorry." She looked a little confused. Z-Tyla decided that she needed to do something to stop the silence that was materializing. "Should you pack up your camp?" She asked. Emily nodded, still a little worried that the memory wash would fail (it won't). "If you're sure." She passed Isaiah a piece of the jerky.

Azalea heads back to their camp and starts packing stuff up.Isaiah leans back in his seat. He didn't realize how boring this would be. He glances at the screen. Looks like her heart rate is normal again.
