A random suggestion I found in my scraps from wayyyyyy back so I revamped it!No particular month in mind when I made this, though I guess it would work well for a Desert/Succulent/Plant theme. Generally try to stray away from cats and dogs, but I love the wordplay. This creature is mostly aimed to be a non-cashshop creature or theif shop petThe Catcus:Aren't these creatures just purrrfect for any plant lover? Just be careful to not poke yourself when you pet them!Catcus are a plant based species that reside in Liela's deserts. Because the inside of this creature is hollow and does not prey on other species; smaller creatures tend to make nests inside of them! This symbiotic relationship starts all the way from egg stage, where it is crucial to have another species help. Catcus thrive in dry environments and can go without water for 2 years. Sometimes in the driest seasons, Catcus will stop moving to conserve energy. Many Arkians visit Leila to witness 'Catcus statues' and to bring water for them. Catcus can be kept as household pets, though you may want to 'de-prick' your Catcus first. This process does no harm to the Catcus, and will allow you to hold and pet your Catcus to your hearts content without getting poked!Catcus Eggs:Catcus eggs can be found strewn around in the cactus patches of Leila. When first laid, Catcus eggs have no 'eye holes'. These holes are actually carved by other small creatures of Leila's biome, attracted by the sweet smell emitting from the 'face' area of the egg.
