@prettyiggy hi! I list all current year cave monthlies at the 50k benchmark but that is a hugely rough estimate as it can vary quite a bit based on demand. the Quanna is likely rarer right now because it’s still the beginning of the month, and earlier / release day monthlies tend to sell for a lot more. it will likely decrease much more by the end of the month. a better way to determine the “real” price of recent cave monthlies is observing how much they sell for in auctions, but it fluctuates a lot depending on the creature.

I will update with the new monthlies tomorrow when I’m more awake, thanks for the reminder! 😊

hi guide users!

this is an update message to inform you that the guide is currently undergoing price recalculation to reflect another year passing.

these are the main changes:

☆ prices of monthlies increment by 50k ec (cave) and 100 cc (CSP).
☆ colors are being added (slowly) to reflect species availability status.
☆ "updated for 2025" will appear in the letter block as they are slowly completed.

I would love to hear your input - are any prices incorrect? does the color scheme suck? (it's a work in progress)

thank you for using the guide in 2024! happy trading and happy holidays!

EDIT (2024/12/23):
guide updates have been completed! still open to feedback for changes, as always.

@nut You are so awesome for keeping this updated! It really is so helpful.
The one thing I've noticed this guide is missing, values for starred creatures (commons and cave monthlies). I'm almost always able to trade a star common for more than a non-starred, but I never really know how much more that star is 'worth'. Do you think there are any general guidelines for that?

nut • 15 December 2024 at 1:55 PM

@heatherm19 you're right! I think on average a star common can go for 10k ec in the auctions. I can add that (let me know if it feels off). However I'm not sure how stars impact the value of a cave monthly - it seems rare but I'd wager like +50k? 100k perhaps? Let me know what you think

@nut Not to be a hassle to you. Since you added the Jan 2025 released creatures already, I wanted to just mention that you missed adding the Zembar from Dec 2024

@ateeb321 thank you so much! I totally forgot Zember, adding now.

Hey @nut! I hope you’re having good luck at the Dragold’s Den. I was wondering if you could give me an estimate on how much. A Crysmara would go for. Thank you in advance!

@juniperrains thanks for the reminder to do some updates! based on some trades I've made/witnessed, and similar popularity for the Esoclyn last year which consistently had quite high prices, I'm listing Crysmara as 50-100cc. let me know if that feels off!

@nut that sounds about right to me. I know you had the Olimpt listed as above 1kCC. What do you recommend paying for one?

839 posts

nut • 22 March 2025 at 4:08 PM

@juniperrains olimpt is rather variable since they're not that commonly traded and are very sought after. Their rerelease in vend in 2023 made the original price deflate, but still seems higher than the rest of that vend CRW batch (it was the first to sell out). I don't know what I would recommend paying but I doubt you'd find anyone currently selling for lower than 1k cc, hence the value. Keep in mind vend creatures can always return in the future and this wasn't a CSP exclusive creature 😊

Hi! What is the most expensive egg? Which egg is the rarest? The rarest egg that i have ever seen in someone's cove was probably the Eyleymo.
Thanks!

@dragonpets pure rarities are found at the archives ranking page here.

as for most expensive, that is subjective to how much each user is willing to pay. Cash Shop creatures that haven't yet been rereleased are quite expensive, as well as old event prize creatures like Eyleymo. Shaibun is another that comes to mind, although it was a cave creature it has a really high value until its (hopeful) future rerelease in VEND

@nut, hi! 😊
What are the 5 most expensive eggs according to your list of creature values? Also, which egg is your favorite?

so Ott says "Ott ✦ 3k cc ( 200 cc )", I'm confused? Is it worth 3k cc or 200cc..?

oceanwhispers • 16 October 2025 at 2:55 AM

@ikigai From what I understand, the parenthesis are re-release values-- so Ott was 3k cc before it was re-released as a VEND creature. Now its value is 200 cc. So you can treat parenthesis as current values, the old values are just listed as a way to document prices changing if I understand correctly.

(As per this line on the original post "☆ Values in () denote post-rerelease price if rerelease caused value to change")

@nut referring to the line in the original post that was previously mentioned,

"☆ Values in () denote post-rerelease price if rerelease caused value to change"

Could you make it so that it specifies whether
a. the value in the parenthesis only applies to the rereleased versions of the creatures, but the originals keep the old value
or
b. the value in the parenthesis applies to all creatures no matter their stolen date

@bgamer
Pretty sure its organized as your a.) ! I think re-release prices also vary a ton, some people care/don't care abt dates ;;

@dragrawr
yeah, that's what I think as well, just want to make sure there isn't any confusion

@bgamer it’s hard because some people care about “original” price some only care about the rerelease price so I just keep both ^^;

like arguably the original’s price drops too but it’s subject to whether or not you care about a steal date / vend badge!

but yes the price in () is rerelease price!

(I see @dragrawr just said that LOL oops, sorry on the run right now, can elaborate more later)

-----
edit: sorry @ikigai you probably won't get pinged, but if you're still confused, the Ott 3k price is its "original" price before it was rereleased (in VEND). After rereleasing, the price dropped to 200cc (rerelease price in parentheses).

I keep the "original" prices (most are taken from past guides) to both:
1. keep track of what got rereleased - if it has a () price it got rereleased!
2. have a feel for how much value deflation rereleases are causing - as you can see most of the creatures that got rereleased had astronomical "original" prices.

I doubt anyone is trading Ott for 3k these days but if you had an original release one you could still get more than 200cc depending on the trade 😊

@nut so, wouldn't that mean that the "original" prices are now the outlier and not the rerelease price?

whereas it is currently denoted as:
☆ Values in () denote post-rerelease price if rerelease caused value to change
Creature ✦ Current Price
Creature ✦ Original Price (Current Price)

it would be better denoted as:
☆ Values in () denote pre-rerelease price if rerelease caused value to change
Creature ✦ Current Price
Creature ✦ Current Price (Original Price)

the steal date / vend badge or other factors are of course open to interpretation.
But this would keep the current price to reference consistently in the main slot, leaving the reference that the creature was rereleased and the reference to the original price of the creature as a note on the side.

this is what I thought it was for reference:
☆ Values in () denote post-rerelease price if rerelease caused value to change
Creature ✦ Current Price
Creature ✦ Current Price (Rerelease Creature Only Price)

this goes along with the "a" organization I mentioned in my previous post whereas I'm seeing now it would be more of "b".

@bgamer yeah you're right, I would say original prices are the outlier. However, this is how previous guides did it (putting new/rerelease price in parentheses) so I don't know how I would feel about swapping that out for continuity/consistency - for sure I can do it though, if other people think it's a good idea!

@bgamer I thought about it some more and I think I will swap out the () price and regular listed price to denote rerelease vs. og price 😊 it'll have to wait until the year end guide update when I have time to reformat everything / update prices though. thanks for bringing the issue up!

hi guide users!

this is an update message to inform you that the guide is currently undergoing price recalculation to reflect another year passing.

these are the main changes:

☆ () price and regular listed price for rereleased creatures are being SWAPPED: () will now show the HIGHER, PRE-RERELEASE PRICE. the price shown first is now the price following rerelease.
☆ as usual, prices of monthlies increment by 50k ec (cave) and 100 cc (CSP), with variation based on popularity/demand.
☆ "updated for 2026" will appear in the letter block as price updates are slowly completed.

I would love to hear your input - are any prices incorrect? other suggestions?

thank you for using the guide in 2025! happy trading and happy holidays!

@nut Hi! I've debated whether or not to post this since it might be a can of worms better left unopened, but... I'm curious about the logic behind the pricing for retired CC monthlies, especially ones in the 3-5 year old range. While I generally agree that CC monthlies from the past year or so wouldn't increase in value too much yet, the point I always come back to is that the site itself will value CC monthlies at 1kCC minimum when rereleased. A CC monthly is eligible for rerelease after two years if I understand correctly, which means for instance the Nyanchi from Jan 2024 was eligible to be rereleased next month and would be 1kCC, yet the guide price would be 700cc I believe?

This has been on my mind for awhile and I just thought I'd toss it out there and maybe get your thoughts on it.

@heatherm19 thanks for posting!! always so happy to have any discourse. I've thought about this too... it's why I don't like how soon CSPs are available for rerelease, or the automatic price of 1000cc. If the Nyanchi was rereleased next month, certainly some people would buy, but I doubt it would have as much demand as something that was really old and previously really expensive, ie. Clous, for which the 1000 rerelease is a steal compared to original price.

I think it's unlikely that recent CSPs like Nyanchi would get voted in in the first place. but if they did I don't think they would do so well because I don't think their value has even reached a point where it's worth the rerelease price of 1000. However, if that did happen, their value on this guide would be set at 1000.

An interesting example in my opinion was the rerelease of Catsmos in 2024. I think this creature was not worth 1000 because it was only 5 years old at the time, AND it was originally priced at only 200 cc. At that time I had it here at 700cc. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think many Catsmos sold during its rerelease. However, because it rereleased for 1000, I put it here as 1000 now.

Anyways sorry for rambling, TLDR is if a recent CSP were to be voted in for rerelease I would set the price here at 1000, but it is my personal opinion that it might not be worth so much...

Let me know what you think!
If others want to chime in (ie. should all CSPs actually be listed as 1000 after 2 years?) please do!
