@nut @heatherm19 just my opinion, i think definitely not on the 1000 after two years. It's eligible for rerelease but its not actually rereleased so you'd be basing your price on things that may happen but not have yet happened.

In that case, base VEND price is 200 CC and technically every cave / event is eligible for VEND after it retires - so as soon as any of them retires it's 200 CC which doesn't make sense.

Heavy agree on rerelease windows being too short anyway. I think 100 CC per year is controlled but of course you'd get bangers like Nalelis that naturally rose up to 1000 pre release simply bc the demand for them is high. I think nut takes account of that.

@nut @heatherm19

This was part of the controversy with rereleases in general. I sure liked getting the Macbot for 1000's cheaper, 10's of thousands according to some price guides of the past. I don't expect price guides to be a firm framework anyway. 300cc deviation is marginal imo. I am not a collector though in that strict sense, so my pov is a more casual one. I don't think we'll see those hugely inflated CC prices for creatures like the Macbot. What is listed isn't the price it often goes for...

I'm sure Eggcave loses out to people that think 1000cc for certain creatures is too high, but they also attract people that think it's "reasonable enough". I still have "buyer's shock" from when the Leaf of Vaka was changed from 200cc to 500cc. hehe. It's all subjective which makes a "free market" "intriguing" & "fun"... I wish we had an EC Stock exchange :-). but 1000cc no matter the turnaround is fine by me if it keeps creatures like the Macbot from inflating to 10's of thousands of CC.

@nut @heatherm19 I don't think all CSPs should be listed at 1000 after 2 years since it requires a certain level of demand for the creature to be voted in for rerelease in the first place, so not all of them would be deserving of such a price increase.

As far as the site always pricing the rerelease at 1000, I think this is a fair baseline for introducing new stock of a creature regardless of its rarity and demand, since unlike transactions between users where the total stock of the creature remains the same or slowly decreases, buying directly from the rerelease or cash shop in general creates a new creature increasing the stock. There would for sure be a price dip, now depending on what the creature's price was before and how much stock is in circulation and how much demand there is for those creatures would result in whatever the new price would be, but it's very difficult to get all of that information, much less keep it current.

However I think most creatures do not exhaust the entire rerelease stock so I think setting them to 1000 at the time of rerelease and increasing from there works really well for those creatures since the supply evens out with the demand at that price point. Debateable for creatures that exhausted their entire stock since there may still be demand for those creatures that would increase the price but that also lies in the "very difficult information to get" category.

Can I ask, e.e

Will common cave pets found ever have a chance to retire, or will they forever stay common cave pets? Like Teckarck, Caiman, Pangolin etc.

@bgamer

Thank you! I was wondering if it was worth hanging onto the cave finds or make a side account for them.

@inkless potentially ! Most cave commons are extremely high in population and a lot of people collect certain ones. Once they become endangered they can be found at the oasis, but I’d say their prices greatly vary. Some you can buy for cheap in auctions, and some are worth more like the Aerlo. If you have a common you like, I’d say collect! :]

@dragrawr Thanks! I'm much more of a once of each kind of collector, I may open up a side account and keep those commons there so they don't clutter my main haha. I wish I knew of this site many years ago, I miss out on so many good ones.

@nut & other players: I may be too early with this question, but what do you think Rifilucs are worth? They seem to be rare, yet I see players with 4 or 5 of them at a time up for trade. Would 200 CC (or 2M EC) be a reasonable price? Thanks, in advance.

@prettyiggy Sorry about the double ping, I realised I'd posted from my side account. Anyway, for what it's worth, the Rifiluc I purchased was being sold for 100cc/2M EC.

@kataclysm, thanks for your response! Dragold is distributing them very randomly, some players get none (like me) & some get 4 or 5 🤨

@prettyiggy Yeah, tell me about it. I haven't found a single one either. 😞 Hence turning to the trade center.

@kataclysm, I was lucky enough to trade for one last night. lunacharm1037 has an extra one which she's planning on putting in trades for 200CC. If you want to purchase it from her for that amount, tell her I sent you! 😉

@prettyiggy @kataclysm thanks for the input and discussion, I think 50-100 cc is standard for new release event creatures 😊 I sold mine very quickly for 50.

I will update the guide soon, apologies for march delay!

Any estimates on the value of Prankey? Just out of curiosity

@jarsha I have it listed as under 50k because it is quite common, recurring seasonal creature. I usually have trouble selling them off because they have been around for so long.

Awesome thank you so much! This helps me know not to hoard them because I’m starting to get a little overwhelmed by the amount of buddies I have to feed hehe

I just discovered your list from July 3, 2023!! This is my first time on the forum, which might explain it 🙃 Great work, Nut! Thanks for this incredibly useful list ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤️

PS Any estimates on Yolkby's value? Just curious

I’ll update soon but I think generally people can sell event prize creature for 500cc the first year

Oh!Thank you for your reply!
I don't browse forums much because English isn't really my strong suit ☹️
I was very pleasantly surprised to find you here, especially with such a monumental project! 🐜
