Hello beloved Arkians and Egg People!

I humbly come before you today to suggest a community-building Eggcave suggestion: Creature of the Year Voting!

Throughout the year, Eggcave artists create such amazing creatures that maybe get recognition for that month, and then the recognition fizzles out. My idea is to have Arkians vote at the end of the year or even in January for their favorite creature this year. It could be a one-and-done “what was your favorite?” OR there could be categories, similar to award shows that we see in the media!

•Favorite CSP
•Favorite Cave Creature
•Favorite Event/Plot Creature
•Favorite User Suggestion
•Favorite Cave Common

The possibilities are endless!

And I think it would be really cool to have the recognition of winning species on their Archive inserts. Example: 2025 Best CSP Creature on a 2025 CSP.

@redflipflap EggCave awards PLEASEEE!!!

This is such a simple yet fun and effective way to celebrate the EggCave year with the community. It's a nice idea to give the winners a note in the archives, too. Maybe the winning creature(s) could even get a special item dedicated to them or something! I would LOVE to see something like this!!

@redflipflap I would genuinely give everything for an awards show in eggcave LOL I love this so bad

@isis trophy item…. I know some ppl don’t like to put items on though hrmmm

Edit: perhaps little ribbons/medallions in the archives on the winning creatures like bronze/silver/gold (or just gold) with the year !

@dragrawr Same Brain Wave re: trophies on archive posts 🤝 literally how cool would that be? And it could be like a site event thing and we could get items related to this year’s nominees!

@redflipflap yesssss similar to user suggestion stamp but as a trophy in archives !??

Hear me out, winners get items ! I miss all the plushies so I’m biased to plushies, and everyone who voted can select one of the items or something similar. Could be set up like choco exchange (ie; if you vote, get a point to spend at the prize counter )
