Due to an issue with Daylight Savings Time, Gobblers were spawning on every page load yesterday. Sadly, this requires us to have to reset the event entirely, as many counts are now inaccurate.
There are no account penalties because this was an issue with the server and Daylight Savings Time. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Tomorrow, all Gobblers counts will be reset to 0 and the event will begin from scratch for all users. Gobblers will begin appearing again tomorrow, November 5. They will not be spawning for the rest of today due to the event reset—so give Gobbler collecting a break for today.

Sorry everyone! We wanted to take a more surgical approach to selectively correct counts for some users, but not others—but felt that that wasn't entirely fair. So it's a site-wide reset for all. I hope you understand.
Gobblers returns tomorrow! No Gobblers spawning today.

I think I was asleep when the bug happened, it's nice to be able to have a pause to be honest. 😊 I'd rather prefer If we could find gobblers while feeding like with the v-day or seed event... having to look through a page isn't really the best. (c)

@silvia thanks for the feedback. gobblers via feeding makes it too similar to other events—like Chocotravaganza. we want this to feel like a hunt, if that makes sense.

(c) Especially for people with issue with their eyes. At least with chocolate / seed event everyone has the same chance or randomly finding them while feeding. I don't really understand with for the turkeys the mechanics have to be different. 🤔 Oh well...

@Ian that does make sense, it's just... it lasts a whole month and it's... heavy. We all feed a little at least daily, while having to lurk for turkeys for a whole month is... well, not fun imo. It would be If it was like the easter egg hunt. But in the -

- end it's just a personal opinion. *shrugs* I'd rather find 'em while doing daily activities like restocking or feeding and stuff rather that having to scroll and look through pages every x minutes. Still think this was a nice solution to fix the bug. 😊

Honestly didn't have much hope of being able to hit top 100 anyways. ;p Adulting is hard and unfortunately I can't hunt at work lol

Harsh but fair in my opinion! It's still really early on in the month, thankfully, so there should be enough opportunity to go gobbling for all, without any unintended headstarts for some. Good luck! Gonna miss my 288 little buddies that I found so far, but it's for the best.

Pretty disheartened. I work full time so I had to grind after and during breaks to get where I was which wasn't easy. It's going to be difficult to be able to get where I was again. Maybe a extension of the leaderboard numbers for this year only might be more fair?

This is probably the fairest way to handle this. The sudden massively overinflated numbers on the leaderboard due to the glitch took me by surprise when I logged in, lol.

@eschla we didn't and do not have the record of Gobblers collected in a certain time frame. It's simple a +1 tally count, that doesn't consider the timestamp of the Gobbler collected. That's why we can't retroactively go back in time

Aaaaw poo. I finally clawed my way onto the leaderboard after already missing two days and being ONE gobbler away when the glitch hit and then having to catch up again. But I guess it's understandable.

Meh. It's been more or less minimal effort from my end, I've been too focused on wasting my time elsewhere, so I don't mind the reset terribly. ^^' My 181 that I did manage to find, will be missed. But soon replaced.

I seem to recall issues with Gobblers & Daylight Saving Time the previous 2 events, namely they stopped appearing (opposite of this year's glitch). When the error occurred I immediately knew it was DST related. Maybe there should be changes made to future events to avoid this?

@Ian Oky doky. I just dont understand the problem. When feeding, gobblers appear not so often when exploring shops, making quests... well, will see tomorrow, how it will be 🙂
