We are excited to introduce a brand-new icon to creature profiles: the Creator's Mark. This was also suggested to us by @prairie—similar to the CDWC winner mark! This mark will be applied to creature profiles that are the first of their kind, when the concept art was submitted in the Forums by a user for that particular species.
The Creator's Mark mark has been applied to 249 creatures around Egg Cave.
If the creator of that species is in possession of that species, the Creator's Mark has been applied to the lowest ID creature in your Cove automatically.
Pretty straightforward. If you suggested it and you own it, you've been given the mark.
If the creator is not in possession of the species that they submitted concept art for, the Creator's Mark has been applied to the lowest ID creature on the entire site, regardless of who its owner is. In this scenario, a person who didn't submit concept art for the creature is now in possession of a Creator's Mark creature.
We understand that this is the less-fair of the two scenarios. Because of this, we are accepting appeals for the Creator's Mark if you're indeed the creator. Please submit a ticket and we'll take a look at your individual case.

Oh.. this is nice but I am a little disappointed are we able to have the pet change which it's on? Because It seems less special that the first species ever that you get to have might not have the mark on it.. for example one Is on my side so I still have possession of it.

Also what does lowest ID creature mean? Probably a dumb question but my Sento that has the Creators mark isn't the lowest in anything? Level, stage, feeds? Anything so I am a little confused? ^^ sorry!

I don't think I'll ever get a creature with either of these marks so this update doesn't apply to me, but I'm happy for the other players that this applies to 😃

@idol when a creature is generated it gets a 'creature ID', pretty much a number we can't really see. But using that specific number, which would look like 'species_001', devs can track down the very first creature of its kind to be generated on the site!

and usually the creature with the lowest ID is the one ian gives to the users who suggested its concept 😊 which means your Sento was the ones ian originally created and gave you, thats why it has the mark!

@ian Nice. Just a suggestion, though: why not just have the label "Creator" (without "Creator's Mark"). Having "Creator's Mark" there looks rather weird.

@idol If you have a creature you created on a side that didn't get a mark send in a ticket. The process was automated to check the main accounts of creators and not sides.

@lucas that makes more sense! I believe the one Ian specifically gave to me though in not on my account because I had transfered it to my side and I have a little note specifying that it was the first one. ^^ that totally makes sense on how the one on this account has it!

I got a notification that one of my creatures got the mark, however I'm not a creator of anything. I'm curious which one it is, I have too many to look through and find it xD

I also submited a ticket about Cetopia. When it was suggested, I believe there wasn't the tradition of giving the oldest one to the creator. And since mine is on my side and it's not the oldest, it didn't receive the mark.

I am curious, I submitted a ticket for one of my suggested creature that was made. But something came to mind. If my creature gets the creators mark since it was on my side account. Will the person who originally had the earliest ID of my suggestion have the mark (1/2)

removed from their creature? Because, what is to stop them from quickly selling off that creature for a large sum of CC? Will the suggester who submits an appeal be out of luck? Will the player who purchased the creature with the mark be out of luck?

@poptarts Creator's Marks are swapped when the original creator makes an appeal. In other words, when you make an appeal or correction, the Mark is removed from the other creature it's currently on. (We're not just going around ADDING a ton more for corrections.) Make sense? ❤️

The mark is based on the creature right? So if i move the creature over to a side, it will still have the mark?

@sodabearjess Yes, once the creature has the mark you can move it around and the mark will stay.
