To collect one, click on it whenever you see one. The top 100 collectors will receive a 1000 CaveCash Voucher ($10) and a Cropler at the end of the month.

Possibly an unpopular opinion here - I wish the event creature could have been a re-release instead of a new creature. At the very least, I hope the Cropler gets released in the CSP for those of us who are unable to spend all day, every day, collecting Gobblers. x.x

Well, looks like the site has gone cuckoo! Can't feed because I keep getting "Too many feed requests!" error messages, and the cave resets are now 2 hours away. Yikes!

@rypnami The gobblers are fairly faint, and can be found anywhere on the page. Also you also need to click on the image when they are spotted. They don't auto collect like the seeds.

All of the creatures are pretty nice. I'm really hoping I can somehow stay on the leaderboards so I can get a Cropler, I love the last stage. Secretly wishing I can somehow get those two CSP ones...

@dragiigy I'm fairly certain the Nov/Gobbler event is the only annual event that has rewards for the leaderboard. The others have prize shops you can cash in your points, which doesn't happen for the Gobblers.

I went hunting. https://imgur.com/a/HY30oN3 That is an image another user made last year (sorry, no credit given in the thread). I feel it is still pretty accurate this year. Remember, you HAVE to click on the gobbler. They don't auto count like the seeds.

@raitonchidori I think they still do, but don't quote me on that. I can't explicitly remember seeing them, but that doesn't mean they don't, more I concentrate my glance more on the white and brown bits. Or my memory is shot. I've done a lot of feeding today.
