Pokemon Roleplay

@jamesftw I wasn't actually roleplaying right there. ^^; Just being silly.

So we're doing a weird time skip thing, which allows your character to be in two places at once. The battle tournament is going on in one roleplay frame, and the contests are going on in another time frame. So, essentially, your character can be competing in the contests and watching the battles at the same time.

Cody gritted his teeth, he could hardly even hear what she was saying,although he did make out the last word..'retreat.'
'Heh,ok then let's go for long distance attacks then..'Cody thought seeing Houndoom sprinting forward preparing two attacks."Metagross prepare to take it head on...."Cody shouted."Start charging Metagross."Cody mumbled
"Metaaa..."Metagross groaned a reply
Everything was going according to plan , Houndoom came in with two powerful attacks, hidden power and dark pulse Cody guessed which knocked out many points in Metagross' hp.
"Now Metagross Hyper beam and Earthquake!"Cody shouted
Metagross bashed his four legs downward as the Houndoom tried to sprint away on the quaking field,now Metagross Hyperbeam!"Cody commanded his pokemon and on cue it used it's powerful attack.

Ramses raced away as the field began shaking mightily. The ice coating the arena was completely shattered in places, shooting large ice shards or chunks of earth in all directions. Ramses ran as best he could, struggling to keep balance. 'Thank Arceus for all that agility training,' Margot thought to herself, gazing intently at the Metagross. "Turn around!" she shouted down to her Houndoom. He whirled to face the Metagross. He'd distanced himself from the worst of the shaking, but ground still rippled unsteadily underneath his paws. "Wait for it . . . " Margot commanded. Metagross was visibly slower after that Hammer Arm attack, and if they timed it just right . . . she leaned forward intently, just like her Houndoom. The similarity in their expressions was uncanny. As the Hyper Beam fired off, she bellowed, "Dodge!" Using the same maneuver as before, the Houndoom threw himself completely to the side, rolling on his back to land on his feet. The ground pitched, however, knocking his balance off; he was unable to stand, tumbling across the ground as the earthquake tossed him. "Get up!" Margot urged, eyes widening slightly. Even with the Metagross' reduced speed, they had limited time before it recharged. "Get up! Use Flamethrower!" Ramses struggled to his feet and took off again, one of his ankles rolling a bit wrong. With a muted growl, he redoubled his speed, charging straight at the steel type before loosing a torrent of flame at it.

"Good job Metagross."Cody gave a thumbs up to his partner.
"Metagross!"Metagross huffed as it finished recharging .
Cody bit his lip,Ramses was a very swift Houndoom but was surprised he was able to dodge Metagross' Hyperbeam and was now on it's feet again running full speed at Metagross using a frightful Flamethrower."Metagross!"Metagross growled fully recharged and now being hit by yet another flamethrower."Ok one last time Metagross,pin him and use hammer arm!" Cody called out. Cody knew it was second nature for Metagross to pin his foe.
"Meta..." Metagross placed one strong iron leg on the Houndoom's tail who was in front of Metagross and again pounded him with Hammer arm which sent Houndoom across the battle field which was slightly less powerful,since he was low on hp and slowed down.

"Go Ramses go", Sirius cheered. Even though he didn't know the pokemon or the trainer he still really wanted the teamto win. "Wow that Houndoom is fast, agile, and strong. However that Metagross could probably give it a run for it's money. He looked at his Cyndiquil, Flame, and said to him, "We will be like that someday, Flame."

"JAMES !!!!!!"Bella cheered tackling her big brother with a hug,Bella looked over James shoulder and noticed what a great fight Cody was putting up,he HAD to win she thought although she noticed Margot's Houndoom was really fast.
"COME ON CODY,HYPER BEAM,HYPERBEAM!"Bella cheered!
Metagross looked really worn out on the tv although it had just bashed Ramses with a wickedly strong Hammer arm,which should off Metagross' Strength and nature.
"Well..he would do good in contest too!"Bella laughed.
Bella turned back to James
"James this is Solley,she is a Pokemon Breeder!By the way what are you doing here?"Bella happily asked

James then turned to Solley and held out his hand giving a warm smile "James Valenti,nice to meet you Solley."

Bella tilted her head and laughed, "Cody? Ya right he wishes." Bella shuddered at the thought.
Bella looked to the corner of the room where she noticed a very odd coordinator scooping out the competition,he wore a Cacturne outfit which gave Bella the creeps.
"Neeya!"Skitty skweaked as she jumped up and tackled the creepy coordinator.

Ramses sailed across the field, striking the broken ice once before sliding to a stop. He lay there, shuddering. Margot's eyes widened with fear. "No!" she exclaimed, leaning as far over the edge of the arena as she could.

Suddenly, however, he rose, with a lash of limbs and a snort of fire. The Houndoom snarled loudly, his eyes filled with rage, sinking his claws so forcefully into the ice that it splintered around each one. As it became clear that he was alright, Margot's fear faded similarly to fury. "Sic 'em!" she ordered ruthlessly.

Ramses charged forward, shooting over the ice like a comet. Fire glowed from the back of his throat, illuminating his bared teeth and streaming smoke from his nostrils. Instead of using a particular move, however, he lowered his head, baring his sharply curved horns. Within seconds, he was set to smash into Metagross full-force, horns glowing with power from what seemed to be a Dark Pulse.

Harley shrieked at the surprising pink fur ball attacking him,in reality skitty just wanted to say hi,"Uk! get your pesky Skitty off of me!"Harley cried yelling at Bella.
"Your going to pay for that Sugerplum!YOU JUST WAIT!" and with that Harley walked off to register for the contest.

James caught Skitty as he had thrusted the kitten off of him,
"What a psycho."James said while soothing the frightened pokemon.

"Met-Met- Meta...."Metagross responded as if it was a machine malfunctioning.
Great two more hits and Metagross is finished,Cody thought and he has used most his moves a lot so Margot would be expecting that, he noticed Houndoom's breathing had also become shallow which gave Cody a glimmer of hope he could beat Ramses with the right element 'surprise' he thought staring at the remnants of shattered ice and rocks behind Houndoom and acting...
"Uh-Uh-Uh um..Metagross Psychic attack?"Cody said in a very panicky voice
Cody then muttered to Metagross barely audible 'On the rocks' No one would be able to make out what he said except for Metagross and his four mega brains.
"Metagross.."Metagross shuddered in pain using psychic keeping his focus on Houndoom but sly-ly moved the rocks and ground remnants behind him in mid-air....
"Now!" "Meta!"Metagross let go of the boulders and rocks and ice fragments above Houndoom letting them free fall in till they finally plummeted onto the ground causing a storm dust to fill the air.

"Thanks James.."Bell a said slightly discouraged now and giving skitty a sympathetic hug.
Bell a turned to the tv just in time to see Metagross get bashed with a nasty dark pulse, "COME ON CODY YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT!!"Bella cheered at the tv. "YES USE YOUR BRAIN AND COME UP WITH STRATEGY LIKE THAT! THATS WHAT IT'S MEANT FOR!!!!"Bella cheered seeing Cody's sly Psychic attack work perfectly.

"Dodge!" If there was one thing Ramses had demonstrated in this battle, it was his agility; he leaped back, avoiding the landslide of rock and ice while using Dark Pulse to repel the smaller shards. The snarl stayed plastered to his face as dark-type's sharp eyes located the Metagross through the gloom. Seizing his opportunity, the Houndoom tipped his head back and then threw it forward, hoping to batter at Metagross with a Flamethrower. As he continued to breathe fire he circled the Metagross, shielded from view by the dust and now the smoke pouring from his nostrils.

Margot watched closely, allowing her Pokemon for the most part to battle as he would. "Ramses," she said conversational volume, trusting in his canine hearing. "When all's clear, jump on him, and give it a Hidden Power."

The Houndoom ceased the stream of fire flowing from his mouth, instead trailing thick clouds of black smoke from his nose. He shuffled hastily yet quietly on padded paws, circling around to the back of the Metagross. He retreated for a moment, skipping back, before charging forward. After a few feet to pick up speed, he jumped, launching off rust-colored orbs before he even made contact with the Steel-type. "Come on . . . " Margot murmured through clenched teeth.

"Go Houndoom go",Sirius shouted just as the Houndoom dodged the ice shards. Sirius was amazed how no matter how hard both Metagross and Houndoom were hit they both managed to get back up again and fight twice as hard. When Sirius looked down at Flame he said,"Have you learned anything new yet, Flame?" Sirius asked. Flame looked at him replied,"Quil", and then returned to watching the battle. Sirius smiled he had never seen Flame so intent in watching anything else before.

Without being signaled Metagross suddenly made a suprisingly swift move jumping mid-air before coming in contact with the Houndoom ,Metagross managed to use one last Hammer arm bashing into Houndoom sending him backwards but not before being hit with hidden power went sent Metagross plummeting towards the ground where he crashed ,fainted.
"Way to make the most of your last move buddy,you did great."Cody called returning his Metagross while recalling his last hammer arm which was the most surprising move Metagroos had made in battle before.

"Down by one but we can still pull through,Ok Braviary your up!"Cody called sending out his all time trusted partner,
"Get some air."Cody called to his braviary who exactly knew what he meant ,Braviary flew up high out of any attack reach but still in tournaments bounds.

Ramses tumbled back a ways, snarling. He seemed ready to lunge again at the fainted Pokemon, but before he could make any rash moves, the Metagross was recalled. Margot closed her eyes for a moment and nodded once. They were one Pokemon up--finally, some leverage.

"Keep your guard up," she instructed, shielding her eyes with her hand and staring up into the sky. The Houndoom shuffled to the center of the arena, keeping low. He was ready to move at a moment's notice.

They were playing a difficult game, she realized. Ramses was fast, but they had no idea how fast Braviary was. Hopefully, by putting themselves that high up, they'd have more than enough time to react to any serious attacks--flying types were more often physical attackers. "Be ready," she added. The fire type snuffled in response.

"Kay,Braviary use brave bird,coming down directly!"Cody shouted toward his bird pal who came down at lightning speed toward Houndoom, Out of all of Cody's pokemon Braviary was definitely the most courageous,
"Raaiy!"Braviary screeched coming toward the Houndoom
"Now Braviary super plus redirect if necessary."Cody muttered to his pokemon
Judging by Margot and Ramses nature they would most likely make a swift dodge and Cody could tell Ramses was ready to bolt ,ha either way it would still hit.
Braviary let out another Screech as it let loose another powerful combo attack of Brave bird and his favorite Superpower.Braviary swooped past knocking his opponent with his attack then looping upward rushing past the audience causing a small gust of wind to hit them and a massive roar of cheers

Sirius marveled at the Braviary's speed and strength. Sirius decided that he should let out the rest of his pokemon."Come on out everyone", he said throwing four pokeballs in the air."Charrr,"roared Charcoal his Charizard,"Lux,"his Luxio, Thunder said,"Chimchar", his Chimchar, Inferno said,"Snivy", said Leaf his Snivy his second in command partner." All of you watch the battle you could learn something from it," Sirius commanded noticing Inferno his newest pokemon looking athim as if to say "why should I have to watch I'm already the best"being the pokemon that was way to confident in his abilities. Sirius sighed when will he learn Sirius thought to himself.

Ramses leaped to the side, avoiding the Brave Bird attack by a hair. He took some damage from the follow-up Superpower, but for the most part deflected it with a defensive Dark Pulse. Margot clenched her teeth, thinking through strategy.

That Braviary, with all its flying around and high-power moves, was bound to tire itself out soon enough. "Evade!" she commanded, designating their general strategy. Ramses barked an affirmative, panting rather heavily. 'His low HP is starting to show,' Margot thought to herself with a frown. "Take as few hits as possible! Bait them in!" The statement was a very clear instruction. The second referred to a strategy they liked to use for physical attackers--they'd used it earlier that day, as a matter of fact, on Melody's Sneasel. Wait for them to come in close as they often would to attack, then strike back, hopefully taking as little damage as possible. If not, it seemed they would go down in the face of a Brave Bird or Superpower; if she recalled, the user of the first move also took serious damage, and the move Superpower would lower both the Pokemon's attack and defense. Things could have been worse . . .

Cloud explained through the microphone to an eager audience.

"And let's welcome our first contestant to the stage, Sakura!"

Cloud announced, her energetic voice booming in echos throughout the stadium. The audience gave an excited cheer as they waited for the first contestant to arrive.
