"Well," the first announcer replied, "you've heard of STAB?"

"Same Type Attack Bonus? Sure, like when a water Pokemon uses a water move, it's powered up."

"Exactly. Well, this Porygon-Z here has an ability called Adaptability--it increases STAB bonus from 1.5 times to 2 times."

"So?"

"So a move like Tri-Attack, which we saw in round one, is base 80 power. With a double boost from Adaptability, that gives you base-"

"160!" the other announcer exclaimed.

"And Hyper Beam, normally base 150, gives you-"

"300!" he declared in astonishment. "Sweet Arceus!"

"And with Nasty Plot to boost Special Attack . . . "

"I gotta' get me one of those," the second announcer remarked. "So, tell me about Daniel's Pokemon."

Daniel shivered slightly only wearing his black tee and jeans while listening to the Ref go over the rules,Daniel itches to let out his pokemon,"Let's go Charmeleon!"Daniel shouted letting out the flame pokemon which melted the snow around him."Charmeleon use Sunny day!"Daniel called out to Charmeleon who spit out a torrent of flames in the air causing the weather to change rapidly to a very odd and super hot day.Charmeleon's flame tripled in size as he let out a small battle cry."Now let's use Overheat make sure it hits!"Daniel called."Char!"Charmeleon took off at full speed stopping half way for a safe and easy redirecting distance,Charmeleon let out mountainous waves of flames toward Digit.

Announcer One:"Wow look how he turned this battle into something new!"
announcer two: "Yep,and Charmeleon's ability Solar power while using sunny day will restore the pokemon's special attack and double fire attack,making overheat 280!"
Announcer One: "Ya well let's see how this battle will go!"

"Nasty Plot!" Margot ordered as soon as light flashed from Daniel's Pokeball. The Porygon-Z and Charmeleon used their first moves almost simultaneously; Digit giggled deviously while the sky cleared, and then blazed. Gasping, Margot ripped her scarf off her face, and then her jacket from her back. "That's more like it!" she declared with a grin. With the howling wind out of her ears, she could now clearly hear the announcers blaring over the speakers. "Solar Power?" she thought to herself, the grin growing a bit wider. "Charmeleon's time is limited!"

"I don't think that's how the math works, Dave," the first announcer chuckled. "Sunny Day gives fire moves 50% more power, and Solar Power will up Charmeleon's special attack by 50%, but you don't factor special attack into base power . . . nevermind. But look at that Overheat! Spectacular! But is it wise to throw away that Special Attack bonus so early?"

"Deflect it with Tri-Attack!" Margot ordered, exuberance fading from her expression.

The Porygon-Z didn't move from its end of the field. Instead, it crossed its free-floating arms in front of it and made a bubbling noise as red, yellow and blue energy began to race in a circle around it. "Bloop!" the Pokemon declared, bobbing its head once as the three streams of energy connected and fanned out in front of it. -c

The attack acted as a shield from the Overheat--mostly because the Porygon-Z was far enough from the Charmeleon.

"Porygon-Z, trying a defensive tactic," the second announcer piped up. "With that kind of firepower, you think trainer Margot would be going for it."

"Shut up," Margot muttered to herself. "Tri-Attack, right at 'em! Get in there!"

Faster this time, Digit lashed a triple ray of energy at the Charmeleon and began to float forward, trying to gain ground.

"This Sunny Day set is a wild risk on the part of Daniel," the first announcer declared. "Especially with Overheat. It'll power up all his fire moves, which is fantastic, and up his special attack. Still, Charmeleon has eight turns max under this sun--that's if he never gets hit. And I don't think that's going to be the case today. Not seeing too much strategy on the part of Margot."

"Shut UP," she growled to herself.

Sirius watched with awe as the trainers pokemon went back and forth. He was amazed by the power of Margot's Porygon Z but was also amazed by Daniel's Chatmander.

Yah 22fireboy is one of my best friends and I swear he wears his fedora EVERYWHERE he goes.

Sirius sat watching the battle wondering what move Daniel would use next. He glanced at Flame as the Cyndiquil watched the battle intensly. Sirius chuckled to himself Flame loved fun but when it came to watching or being in a battle he was all buisness.

"Now Charmeleon!"Daniel called to Charmeleon who nodded and charged forward sliding on his knee to avoid any oncoming tri-attacks which easily and powerfully glided over him and then punched upward to the pokemon above using Heat Wave. @spiral

Daniel looked around onstage,his opponent was running late,oh well.The ref nodded to Daniel and he un-clipped a quick ball ,he waited patiently for the battle to start.@sakura2596

Sirius was amazed with both pokemons power and agility as he watched the battle. Deciding to see what was going on with the contests he got up and walked out the door toward the contest hall. As he walked through the snow. He saw the people dressed strangley huddled together by the forest. He wondered what they were saying so he quietly snuck around them and hid behind a big rock. One voice said,"...we must do it soon or we'll miss are chance." Another said, "I agree we'll do it tomorrow." Sirius shifted and a twig snapped. "What was that,"said another voice and all the people turned around and saw him. "Get him," the first man yelled. All the people rushed at him. "Go Flame and Leaf!" He yelled as the cyndiquil jumped of his shoulder and as he threw Leaf's pokeball. The people threw there pokeballs too. Sirius counted 10 pokemon he knew he was outnumbered. "Nevermind we are out numbered," he said pulling out Leaf's pokeball. "Not before this said the first man and he pulled out a net scooped up Leaf and Flame. before they could jump away. "No!" Sirius yelled. "Oh yes now weezing use smokescreen." Sirius heard shuffling and when the smoke finally cleared the people were gone and left behind not even footprints. "Nooo!" Sirius yelled, "Come on out Charcoal!." He yelled as his Charizard appeared. "Come on we need to get to the contest hall." He said hopping on Charcoal's back.

Jason takes out Flare's pokeball and throw's it in the grass. Flare pops out and attacks the wild rattata and uses flamethrower it KO's the wild rattata. Jason yells"good job flare and they run down the road to there destiny.

"Ampharos don't let your guard down,counter it with what you prepared!"Bella shouted to Ampharos who was in shock seeing the opponent circle him."Ampha!"Ampharos took off from where he was positioned as fast as he could his Iron tail snaking behind him with a titanium glow along with the gem on his forehead which also glowed."Ampharos!"Ampharos twisted himself around sliding into his opponent with his tail lashed out the same way a baseball player would slide to home plate."Great thinking Ampharos keep it up!"Bella praised her pokemon."Ampharos!"Ampharos lashed out his tail high enough that the target would have trouble avoiding it but low enough not miss and from an angle so Ampharos could redirect.
Bella looked to the camera which was now zooming in on her,Bella quickly smiled and winked at camera with a with a quick wave.

Brent watched as Ampharos and Bella created another her move combo which made them look even more stunning!Brent and Raichu watched from the sidelines,Raichu made punching movements In the air every time the crowd cheered he would cheer also.Raichu was a very brave mouse pokemon,he has a small nick at the top of his ear from a past battle he also wears a red bandana around his neck.

Sirius dashed after Brent as he followed the Raichu. All he could think about was how helpless he had been when the strange people had tooken Flame and Leaf. He wondred if he would ever see his pokemon again. "What did you find Raichu," he yelled.

Cloud opened the door slightly, careful not to trip as she stepped out in dangerously complex white shoes. The dress she wore was white and hit just above her knees with a black hem. The ebony straps formed upwards and a V on her torso and matched the sash around her waist. The bottom of the dress consisted of layers of ruffles. In a summary, it was Cloud's worst nightmare. Giselle had picked it out "just for Cloud". Perhaps if she wanted to watch her stumble on stage like a fool.

"I hate this."

Cloud groaned, holding her head in her hands. Her black hair was out of the usual high ponytail and fell neatly down her shoulders in stick straight form.
