@Pegasasu Crystal nodded, and turned her attention back to the battle. "You're right, Cloud. It looks like Charmeleon has a powerful Solarbeam attack on it though." Crystal commented.

"Though Charmeleon's ability isn't helping him too much now. Solar Beam is cutting his HP by 1/8 every turn, and Porygon-Z seems to be really using that to his advantage."Cloud speculated, craning her neck to get a better gilmpse that the battle. She only needed one or two good looks at the carnage before she could turn away and not have to watch ever again.

Crystal couldn't help but notice Cloud's strange behavior, but said nothing. "It's seems as if she is." Crystal commented, watching the battle closely. That Margot girl... Was a skilled battler. And her technique...

Sirius smiled a fake smile, took a seat, then looked at the field and saw Margot's Porygon-Z and Daniel's Charmeleon. "Diffentently because first of all Porygon-Z has a much bigger variety of moves and Margot's Porygon-Z has a large advantage." He said and petted his shoulder forgetting about Flame's absence.@belle@pegasasu@taffy789

Chameleon was fast, but not fast enough; it terminated its charge in order to jump out of the way. The high-power attack still grazed its arm and shoulder, changing tone as the attack finally connected. A series of boos and cheers issued from the audience."Trainer Margot is playing it safe; she does not want to know what that charge move was going to be!" the second announcer chuckled. Margot stared down the field, her mind racing. Tri-attack was at such high power, it could have knocked Charmeleon out if it hit head-on. That meant Charmeleon was hurting. The longer she played the waiting game, the more likely Daniel was to come back with something desperate. This needed to end now. "Digit," she said steadily. "Get in a little closer, and then . . . Hyper Beam." -c

The Virtual Pokemon made an exuberant, bubbly kind of noise. After all, Hyper Beam was its favorite! Slowly, with pent up enthusiasm, the pink and blue Pokemon floated across the arena. "So what are we about to see?" the second announcer asked. "Something pretty scary," the first admitted with a chuckle. "Hyper Beam is base 150. Porygon-Z's ability doubles that, and its silk scarf boosts it by another 20%. So now it's at base 330. On top of that, two Nasty Plots were used; Porygon-Z's special attack is now at 300% of what it usually is. This Pokemon is set to destroy."Digit came to a rest in the center of the arena, staring straight at Charmeleon. As the fire-type lunged forward, readying an attack, the Porygon-Z made a soft "bloop" noise. It then released Hyper Beam.A beam of white light zoomed out from the normal-type, roaring with energy and too bright to so much as glance at. It was easily three times Digit's size in diameter, disabling the fire-type from merely leaping to the side. The attack lasted ten or fifteen tense seconds. The audience was silent, except perhaps for some "ooh"s and "aah"s at the brightness of the light. As the attack finally subsided, Digit froze in its place, re-charging. Charmeleon also lay still. The referee raised his flag. Snowflakes began to drift down once again.

@pegasasu I'm honored. c:-As the sky began to darken, the referee raised his flag. "Charmeleon has fainted!" He then lowered his arm to the right, toward Margot and Digit. "The winner of this battle and the Snowpoint City Mistletoe Tournament is Margot Abeln!"Margot stood still for a moment, shocked into paralysis. The crowd had begun to cheer, but both she and her Pokemon were frozen like statues, until Digit finished recharging from Hyper Beam. With a delighted sound like someone running their hand over an electric keyboard, it zipped over to its trainer, bouncing once in front of her face. This seemed to snap her out of the trance, and a disbelieving smile broke out over her face. "Well, that was quite the battle," the first announcer declared."Join us in a moment for the post-battle analysis, and be sure to tune in tomorrow for the awards ceremony!" the second announcer added.Meanwhile, indoors, a loud clicking sound trailed down the hallway. A man on a Dodrio emerged shortly afterward, expertly dodging people. He came to a stop in front of the group, disembarking and returning the Pokemon to its Pokeball. "Ms. Kimura," he said first in a warm tone, nodding his head in greeting to the young local celebrity. He then turned to Crystal, and his expression became more serious. "May I speak with you?" he asked, pulling the goggles from his face. They had worn pink rings below his eyes and on his forehead.@taffy789 @etc.

Garett heard the announcement, and smiled. He had been watching the battle, and couldn't help but think that Margot had deserved the win.He had an odd feeling, like something was going to happen. Although he thought it could just be the toxins of one of his other battles getting out of his system, the Pokemon trainer couldn't shake it off.Garett sighed, and decided to go mingle. The awards ceremony would be tomorrow, and hopefully everything would go as planned.

@hedwig68Margot laughed a little as she was swept up by the crowd. The realization that this was, perhaps, the highest honor she'd received in all her years of training had not quite yet hit her. Never mind she'd never received the Mossdeep Badge--a ribbon from a big-name tournament was nothing to scoff at.Digit noticed Sirius before Margot did. It let out a blip, like someone tapping on a car horn. Margot turned around, expression happy but slightly confused. "Oh, thanks . . . about what?" Hesitantly, she followed him out toward the edge of the crowd.

Belle watched as the Charmeleon fainted and couldn't help but feel a little sad,she had wanted Daniel to win but she was glad there was Margot too, if anyone else should win it was Margot she was an outstanding trainer after all, I wonder how she got so good...@silver_winged

Crystal smiled warmly, then excused herself, Absol following silently at her heels. After they were a good distance away, Crystal quickly turned to the man. "Yes. What is it? It's about the girl who just won...correct?"

@hedwig68 @cody @belle @taffy789 @pegasasuMargot narrowed her eyes, confused. She could barely hear him above the roar of the crowd. "Flame, your Cyndaquil?" she asked, having to raise her voice. The wind had picked up again, blowing softly now, but sure to rise back to a howl soon. She pulled the hood of her jacket back over her head. Come to think of it, the other times she'd seen him, he'd always had the little fire-type with him. It was a bit odd that it would be gone now. "What happened?"The policeman shook his head in response to Crystal's question. "Negative," he replied, though he frowned slightly. "She does look familiar, in a bad way, but we ran a check and she came up clean. Even did a search on her Pokemon." He sighed, briefly looking down toward the ground, before resuming eye contact. "I came to contact you on a recent Rocket bust. There was a meeting a mile or two outside of town, before eight. Maybe a dozen people, all in uniform. We had them surrounded before they took out one of the junior officers. By the time backup arrived, they were long gone." He suppressed a sigh. "We did manage to secure one Rocket grunt and conduct preliminary interrogation, but we need an expert to proceed . . . " He looked at her expectantly.

Crystal sighed. "That will be hard. I need to maintain this area also. I have suspcions that something will happen here... And my expert eye is needed here also... Is this grunt interrogation that important? Grunts... Can be unreliable."

@cody I'll probably stay, just won't be on as much. ^^-=-=-=-=-=-Cloud looked up from Skarmory, who nuzzled her affectionately with a silver beak. She nodded in response to Cody, not having noticed that the battle was over. She tried to smile, but seeing as her attempt was in vain, turned away awkwardly back to her Pokemon.

"And you're telling me this, because . . . ?" She was fully aware of the insensitive nature of the comment, but she honestly did not know why this kid she'd barely met would come to her about his missing Pokemon. The tournament was crawling with security and reporters--she could spot, from where she was standing, at least three people who would be better to ask."There are other agents on site here," Felix reminded Crystal, tugging at the elastic straps of his goggles absentmindedly. "And we could call in someone to replace you. We need your expertise for the interrogation. At this moment, the grunt is the biggest lead we have, even if he could be unreliable." He sighed, sparing a moment to watch a pair of trainers stroll down the hallway. "What makes you ask about that girl?" he asked suddenly.

"Absol dectected something odd about her..." Crystal peered downward at the Pokemon that was still by her side. His entire body was tense, ever since Margot had won the competetion. 'Gardevior, come back.' she ordered her friend. 'I need you in case something happens. Tell Chaizard telepathically that he should start back in.' Crystal turned her full attention back towards to Felix. "Okay, so what do you think?"

@hedwig68 Margot's frown deepened. In all honesty, she was ready to go out and celebrate her win; never mind the kid. Still, her conscience nagged at her enough to require her to try. "Do you know who took the Pokemon?" @taffy789"Is your Absol usually right about these things?" Felix asked. He wasn't willing to depend entirely on the intuition of a Pokemon, but it seemed odd that the dark type would confirm his own suspicions. "I think we ought to get as much information out of the grunt in the least amount of time. I have a bad feeling that something big is about to happen, and soon. Maybe tonight." He motioned for her to follow him out of the building. "We can both take Dodrio."
