"No just to watch I was trying to let my Cyndiquil watch other trainers battle so he could learn."@dragonstorm78 bye

@taffy789 I figured that was why Absol growled. XD Sorry.-The Rocket grunt frowned pointedly. His arms twitched as if he were about to move them, but the cuffs at his wrists prevented it. The subject then scowled, turning his head so that he was no longer looking at Crystal. "No," he growled.-A few moments passed, silent except for a rustle of fabric whenever Margot moved her arms. The snow fell peacefully out in front of her, illuminated by the fluorescent light over the emergency exit. Each individual flake twirled its way down like a ballet dancer, pure and white and graceful. A thin sheet of snow had already formed over the ground, enough to leave footprints. If the snow continued like this, Margot noted, it'd cover any footsteps anyway.Shattering the silence, Ramses began to growl again, this time with a more alert tone. He rose to his feet, hackles raised, and barked once at the wall of the building. His head was tilted up. Margot turned her head, though she couldn't see anyone. "Relax," she said to Ramses, pressing the back of her head against the cool brick wall. Noting that her cigarette was about to burn out, she debated lighting another one or simply sneaking back to her hotel.
taffy789 • 31 March 2012 at 11:40 PM
"Ah." Crystal folded her hands, and continued to look at the grunt. "So, what is your name? How may I address you?" Umbreon laid under the table, at Crystal's feet, blinking tiredly. It was late. Good thing Crystal hadn't picked Kabutops to help her with the interogation, for he was... Tempermental. __ Absol remained silent in return. Every muscle of his body was ridged, and tense. His midnight eyes were locked on Margot, and he was perfectly still... Intill the cigerates' last wisp of smoke enter his lungs, and Absol started to hack and cough, sending the snow that had gathered on his body plummeting onto Margot and Ramses.
silver_winged • 1 April 2012 at 12:00 AM
@taffy789The grunt's eyes moved back to Crystal as she began to talk, and then shifted back to the wall before she finished. He scoffed, and muttered distastefully, "Doesn't matter anyway. I'm just a number." He glanced downward as he heard the Umbreon sink to the floor, and then promptly rolled his eyes.-At the first sound of the Absol's coughing, the Houndoom burst out in a thunder of barking, not even stopping to shake the snow off his head. Margot jumped away from the wall, a startled look on her face. She still couldn't see anything over the brick wall, but the snow that now covered her hair and shoulders proved that something was up there. She backed up a few steps, Ramses refusing to follow her, until an Absol was visible over the top of the building. Her mind immediately recalled the incident in the cafe, where Crystal's Absol approached her out of nowhere. She'd be willing to bet a hefty sum that this was the same Pokemon. "Can I help you?" she snapped caustically. Ramses' barking had fallen to a high growl. The canine Pokemon seemed ready to attack at first order.
taffy789 • 1 April 2012 at 12:07 AM
"Just a number? Is that what the Rockets let you believe now? Well, as an individual person, you must be more than just a number." Crystal blinked. -- The Absol stood, staring at Margot as if saying, "You think I can talk your language, do you?" The Dark type merely remained where he was on the ledge, standing and ready to flee or fight if necessary.
silver_winged • 1 April 2012 at 12:28 AM
@taffy789"Please," the grunt muttered in an immediate response. "I'm lucky they gave me a number. Before I joined, I wasn't even that. I wasn't anything." He shifted his shoulders again, the cuffs at his wrists clinking metallically. "Now I've got a place to sleep, food to eat, money. I have friends, co-workers, people who know my name. I have Pokemon, good Pokemon, that I got to train myself." He turned to face her now, his expression brutal. "So don't you give me a hard time."-Margot looked taken aback when she received no reply. Bouncing back a few steps, she jumped slightly as she saw that the Absol was alone. Crystal wasn't there--no human was. Just the lone dark type, who'd most likely been watching them since Ramses initially growled. Margot's expression shifted to a deep frown.Slowly and steadily, the Houndoom walked backwards until he stood beside his trainer. He no longer growled, but simply bared his teeth. His sharp fangs seemed to glow underneath the fluorescent. "Get out of here," Margot growled, clenching her hands. She noticed that she was still clutching the cigarette stub in one of them. Frustrated and startled, she flung it to the ground and stamped on it with her foot. "Scram!"
taffy789 • 1 April 2012 at 12:55 AM
"I'm trying to not give you a hard time. And I get it. Trust me, i've heard the same story hundreds of times." Crystal ran a hand through her hair, tiredly. "You were nothing, Team Rocket recruited you, you had a better life... You got beat, end up here, and no one rescues you." Crystal sighed. "Look. I know the other grunts are nice and stuff, but it's the Commanders and the Leader that don't care what happens to you." Umbreon nudged her foot under the table. Oh, right. "Anyway, what would you like for me to call you?"- Absol swished his tail side to side. He peered at the roof opposite to him, and stared. Then, he tightened his muscles, and leapt to the rooftop on the other side of him. It was a messy landing, but the Pokemon made it to the other side without injury. He then turned, and looked back at Margot, blinking his knowledgable, almost human seeming eyes.
silver_winged • 1 April 2012 at 1:15 AM
@taffy789The grunt held her gaze. His dark, too-long hair had fallen into his eyes, but he was unable to brush it away. "I was on my way," he muttered. "Another year and I would have been squad captain." He appeared to ignore her question, squirming in his seat. His bangs shifted over his eyes, and he agitatedly tried to dispel them with a puff of breath.-"Don't you know what get out of here means?" Margot demanded, taking a threatening step forward. Now that she'd confirmed that it was just a measly Absol, she had no reason to stay on the defensive. Her hand immediately fell to the sixth Pokeball at her waist, going so far as to wrap around it, but she suddenly stopped. A startled look sprung to her face as she seemed to realize she could not draw it, through the look was quickly replaced by a fierce frown. Instead, she plucked a different Pokeball from the belt, and tossed in before her. With the shriek of grating metal, her Skarmory appeared in a flash of bright light. It beat its wings twice, arcing up above the buildings and then diving down toward the Absol. Margot didn't intend to harm the Pokemon, merely scare it off.
taffy789 • 1 April 2012 at 1:22 AM
Crystal nodded, and Umbreon nudged her foot again, more fiercely this time. Ok, OK. "I'll just call you Kyle then." Crystal smiled, almost laughing. "So, Kyle, what were your Pokemon? Their names? Their personalities?" Umbreon listening intently, waiting for his answer under the table. -- Absol quickly used Double Team, launching many copies of himself in multiple directions. Then, the real Absol quickly snuck away to hide in a pile of snow built up on the rooftop.
hedwig68 • 1 April 2012 at 1:23 AM
@silver_winged I am bored so I am going to be Flame and Leaf for a while that ok?Flame continued to try and break the cage that he and Leaf were locked in but to no advail.Leaf hit the grunt watching them with a vine whip.
silver_winged • 1 April 2012 at 1:39 AM
@taffy789The Rocket grunt rolled his eyes at his assigned name, but didn't seem disturbed enough to protest it. "Good Pokemon," he asserted immediately. "Not the trash you get from the professors. Once a year, they give all their pet students a rare Pokemon--the rest of us get whatever route 2 mutt that didn't end up roadkill. I had a Hitmonlee," he said, with pain in his eyes. "Nicknames are for children. He was good. Never backed down from a fight. Could trash everybody else's silly dark types. Never proud, though . . . " His voice trailed off for a moment, and his eyes tightened. "Always listened."-"Defog!" Margot ordered sharply. The Skarmory immediately complied, hovering mid-air and beating its wings. The gusts of wind created by the flying-type stirred the snowdrifts, sending clouds of snow whistling through the air. The snow phased right through all of the Absols that had appeared, except for one. Using its keen sight to identify the true Pokemon, the steel-type shrieked and dove at it again, flaring its wings in an effort to intimidate it. For once, Margot was glad that they were not in an official battle--Icarus wasn't credited as knowing Defog. Using the move would have been a rule violation.
hedwig68 • 1 April 2012 at 1:45 AM
The grunt went over and squatted down. "I would keep still you stupid pokemon before I make you."Flame sent a small ember at the grunt which hit him. The grunt took out a stick and hit Flame with it. Leaf didn't make another move and went to make sure Flame was ok.
taffy789 • 1 April 2012 at 1:53 AM
"What happened to Hitmonlee?" Crystal questioned, softly urging 'Kyle' to continue.--Absol gritted his teeth, and used Agility, easily escaping the Skarmory's sharp wings. Growling, Absol let out a powerful Dark Pulse, shooting the energy dead on at the Steel Pokemon.
silver_winged • 1 April 2012 at 2:13 AM
@taffy789The Rocket grunt scoffed again, tugging at his wrist restraints. As his sleeves shifted, red rings were visible on his skin from struggling. "No clue," he admitted in a dark tone. "Police took him when they got me. Probably in a locker somewhere." At this point, his eyes fell on Felix, who still stood by the door. The officer retained his neutral expression, not wanting to influence the interrogation.-The Skarmory dove right through the Dark Pulse, the black energy skittering off his wings as if it were water, before using Drill Peck. He knew full well from training that dark-type moves were weak against him; he and his trainer had used this to their advantage in countless battles. The steel-type let out another shriek, as if to say, "If you want to fight, let's fight!"Margot remained in her spot, arching her neck to watch the rooftop battle. She was convinced Icarus could handle the Absol, but if things didn't wrap up soon, she'd send forward another Pokemon to speed things up. The presence of Crystal's Pokemon indicated that the authorities were becoming suspicious of her; she needed to head back to her room, lay low until the awards ceremony the next morning. After that . . . well, they'd be beyond lucky to catch her after that.
taffy789 • 1 April 2012 at 2:23 AM
"That wasn't exactly nice." Crystal raised an eyebrow at Felix. "Where is the Hitmonlee, exactly? It is Kyle's Pokemon and friend, he has every right to know where it is." Crystal made a tsk sound when she saw the restraints. "Are they too tight? That would be uncomfrontable... But it's all procedure, I can't get them to take them off. Loosen them, but not take them off." Umbreon let out a yawn, and plodded over to the Grunt, looking up at him, blinking her eyes tiredly. -- Absol skillfully dodged the Skarmory's attacks. He did want to fight, but at the same time, knew it was wise not to. So he did the smart thing a calm Pokemon like him would do, he fled, rushing over the rooftops faster than a march bunery.
silver_winged • 1 April 2012 at 2:34 AM
@taffy789Felix repressed a sigh. It seemed to him that this girl was practically siding with the Rocket. "We've got it in the back," he explained calmly, "as per protocol. If the Pokemon hadn't been stolen from the Saffron City Dojo four years ago, I'd agree with you that he deserves to know where it is." The officer shook his head. "The cuffs are fine, he's just been tugging at them for the last hour." Sensing that his presence was quickly becoming a distraction, Felix turned to face the door. "I'll be outside," he said to Crystal, punching in his access code and slipping out of the room. The door closed behind him with a sound thud. The grunt frowned as the Umbreon approached him, shifting away from it. Based on his previous comment, he seemed to have a dislike for dark-types. "Your Pokemon's tired," he stated simply, though his posture was agitated.-As the Absol retreated, Skarmory tailed it long enough only to ensure that it would not come back. The steel-type returned to its trainer after a minute or two, landing with a grate of wings on the cool snowy ground. "Thanks, Icarus," Margot said quickly, patting him on the neck. She then hopped atop the Pokemon, sitting behind his wings with her arm wrapped around his neck. She used her free hand to return Ramses to his Pokeball. "Back to the hotel," she ordered cleanly, bracing herself for takeoff. The Pokemon ran a short distance, pumping its wings, before leaping into the air.

"Ah." Garett smiled. "That's a good technique." He thought about it for a moment. "So, you're from Johto?"
hedwig68 • 1 April 2012 at 7:41 PM
"Yes, where are you from?" Sirius asked.@dragonstorm78
dragonstorm78 • 1 April 2012 at 7:46 PM
"I'm from Sinnoh." He said. Looking down at the Pokeballs on his belt, Garett had an idea. "Hey, wanna have a one-on-one Pokemon battle?"
hedwig68 • 1 April 2012 at 8:10 PM
"Umm well my best Pokemon aren't here but I guess," Sirius said surprised.@dragonstorm78
dragonstorm78 • 1 April 2012 at 10:21 PM
Garett smiled. "Well, if you don't want to battle, we don't have to." He grabbed the Poke Ball of his Crobat. "Who is your best Pokemon, anyway?"
hedwig68 • 1 April 2012 at 10:26 PM
"Flame, my Cndiquil,,but I think I should battle with my Charizard for a change he hasn't battled in a while." Sirius said grasping Charcoal's pokeball.@dragonstorm78
dragonstorm78 • 1 April 2012 at 10:32 PM
(OOC// I'm going to have to go after this post... See you tomorrow!)Garett nodded. "To be fair here, I'll be battling with my Crobat." He then realized that they were still in the colosseum. "Also, let's find a better place to battle."

Garett called back to Sirius.(OOC// One, you can stop pinging me. xD I'm following this topic, so I get it anyway. Two, you can roleplay us getting there if you want to.)

taffy789 • 2 April 2012 at 6:17 PM
Seeing Felix was gone, Crystal turned back to Kyle. "Yeah. It's been a tough day." she frowned, but gave a small smile in Umbreon's direction. "So, exactly how much do you know about the Rockets and their plans?" -- Absol watched as the Skarmory flew off, having trailed it back sneakily. It wasn't like the Steel Type could actually beat him anyway, but in a 6-on-one case and without Crystal... Absol blinked, and jumped down from the roof, and padded off to go find Gardevior, and maybe Charizard.
silver_winged • 2 April 2012 at 8:43 PM
@taffy789The Rocket grunt continued to stare down at the Umbreon warily, shifting his body farther to the side of his seat. His eyes flitted up as Crystal addressed him once more, but immediately turned back to the canine Pokemon. "Hmph," he muttered uncooperatively. "Wouldn't you like to know."-The flight back to the hotel was a short one. As per her directions, the Skarmory deposited Margot on the third floor deck--reporters were likely to be milling around the lobby, waiting for someone of interest to stroll by. Someone like her. Miserably, she leaned over the railing, watching as the snow drifted slowly to the ground. She hadn't for a second expected to win. She'd never won a single battling competition in her life. The sudden onslaught of media attention came at the exact wrong time.Margot retreated to her room, taking the stairs to avoid the elevator. She shut, locked, and bolted her door before collapsing on an armchair by the telephone. She called out Ramses, who obediently lay himself in front of her feet. Then, feeling that the room was still too cold, she called out Kindle. The Chandelure promptly took her place in the center of the ceiling, radiating warmth from her purple flames. With a heavy sigh, the trainer ran her thumb over the surface of the last Pokeball. "Soon," she murmured, before rising, unclipping her Pokeball belt, and heading to the bathroom for a shower.((I'll retire Margot until the next day in the roleplay, probably.))
