"Return fire!" Margot ordered, shielding her eyes from the bright sun to focus on the two Pokemon. Further down the field, they were a little harder to see.

"Looks like Margot is taking a gamble here," the second announcer observed. "What do you think of that, John?"

"I'd say it's a smart move, Dave," the first announcer replied. "She's gotten one Nasty Plot in already, so Porygon-Z's Special Attack is getting to some scary levels. Porygon-Z's raw Special Defense is also ten base points better than Charmeleon's. By her calculations, she can take Charmeleon's hit better than Charmeleon can take Porygon-Z's."

"I don't know about that, with the Sunny Day boost," the second announcer reminded him.

"Well, we'll just have to see how it goes."

As the Charmeleon neared, Digit fired a Tri-Attack directly into its face.

"Now, because Solar Power is in effect here, let's count turns," the first announcer declared, shuffling some papers. "First turn we have Sunny Day and Nasty Plot; Solar Power is initiated. Second turn we have Overheat and Tri-Attack. Third turn, Heat Wave and Tri-Attack. So we have two complete turns with Solar Power in effect--what does that say for Charmeleon?"

"That says hurry up," the second announcer chuckled. "It's already down a quarter of its HP!"

Crystal sat in the stands, sipping casually on her hot chocolate.
Only one of her Pokemon was near her, for protection.
Absol sat near her, licking his paws, waiting for something to happen.
Gardevior was off, scanning the area.
Charizard was off, flying somewhere over the arena, in such a thick blizzard, that, if you looked up, you could barely make out a tiny light circling around in the sky.
Being a Fire type, the Hail didn't bother him TOO much, but his commands were that if he got tired, he should come down to rest.
"Absol." Crystal muttered finally, after silently watching the battle for a while.
"Do you think Tran's okay?"
Absol blinked, and looked away.
Grimancing, she knew what he'd meant. Absol was not one to try to put false hope into someone, he prefered to just rip the bandage right off.
Then again, Crystal had already knew that Tran could be hurt right now, or even worse...

@albinodragon I'm afraid you missed the entries for the contests and battles, but they're almost over. Then we're moving onto the next segment of the plot, where the gym leader Candice is captured by Team Rocket and the characters take it upon themselves to go rescue her. You're more than welcome to be a part of that. ^^

Until then, your character can socialize with the other characters watching the contests/battles or comment on the contests/battles. Or hang around Snowpoint City, or try to sniff out Team Rocket. (Nothing major for the Team Rocket thing; their plot still has to succeed.)

Cloud hadn't been intently watching the battle. She had attempted to shield herself from the Pokemon fighting, but she could give mediocre input from what Bella said and general knowledge of Pokemon studies.

"Porygon-Z is difficult to battle. Unlike Charmeleon, Porygon-Z can learn a variety of unpredictable moves; whilst Daniel is limited to mostly dragon, fire, and normal attacks with the occasional poison or dark TM."

Cloud deduced, recalling one of her early contests where she had lost to a Porygon-Z. Its ability to use such a vast combination of moves gave it a beauty and grace unbeatable.

"I agree with Cloud. Then again, you can teach Charmeleon Dig, and...Focus Punch, I think. Either way, that Porygon is going to be tough to beat." Crystal added her own input.
Absol gave Cloud the "What's wring with dark moves?" stare, which was more like a glare, so it was hard to tell it wasn't just his regular face.


Melody was training in the blizzard.
Okay, that was sucide.
But considering the fact that she was bundled up so tightly it was hard to move, she felt fine.
Too bad Sol still wasn't paying attention to her.
"Sol, come on! Please? Listen to me buddy!"
Sol sniffed, and turned his back to Melody, making her facepalm.
"Come on? Sol!!!" she complained even louder, trying to talk over the roar of the blizzard.
She was so preoccupied, she didn't notice the dark figures starting to slowly move to the SnowPoint Gym...

Cloud felt Absol's eyes burning into her skin and flashed an apologetic gaze to the dark Pokemon.

"It's not like that's a BAD set of moves, it's just. . . predictable for. . . Er, well. . ."

Cloud finished awkwardly, her words simply flying into oblivion as soon as they slipped hesitantly out her lips.

Absol flicked his tail impatiently, as if telling Cloud to get on with it.
Crystal laughed, and patted Absol on the head.
"Don't worry Cloud, he's always a bit grumpy when Umbreon isn't around." she winked, making Absol turn slightly pink and away from Cloud.
"Anyway, Dark Pokemon's power and speed make up for their move set and defense, in my opinion. Absol knows Extremespeed, Shadow Ball, and a few other good moves. It's a nice thing when you can afford TMs." Crystal smiled.

Emily brushed her blond hair from her face. She could tell her Pokemon eevee was getting restless. Eevee jumped up and down, and poked her nose into Emily's hair. "Calm down" Emily pushed her away, not knowing what that would do. Eevee growled grumpily. Emily put her down on the ground, and pulled some Miltank milk from her bag. "Here" she placed it in front of her Pokemon. Eevee happily drank it up. Emily smiled remembering the time she got eevee.

"I wasn't saying anything about Dark moves in general. Just the fact that Charmeleon is limited to only a few types of moves, while Porygon-Z is virtually unpredictable. Not anything bad about the actual moves or type themselves."

A light shone from the forest, glowing clearer and brighter by the second. In a moment, an odd silhouette emerged from the trees: two long legs, a thick tail, a too-tall body, with two arms and two other odd appendages ending in a large round shape. The lights shone from the ends of these odd appendages as well as from the middle of its odd torso. As the figure came closer, however, the light was kinder, and its true form was revealed. It was simply a policeman atop a Dodrio. Each of the Pokemon's heads had a light strapped to it, illuminating whatever patch of ground each head was looking at. The bird Pokemon padded to a stop as it reached Sirius. "Can I help you?" the man asked, eyes obscured by his thick snow goggles.

The policeman let out a sigh, gazing down at the Dodrio head in front of him. After a moment, he looked up again, this time glancing behind him. "You wouldn't happen to have seen any shady characters around here, would you? Any group of people dressed in dark clothes?" One of the Dodrio's heads, the one with the angry expression, fixed its gaze on Sirius; the other two were looking separate directions, keeping them guarded from all sides. The bright yellow light stayed fixed on Sirius's face.

After a brief moment, a large frown broke out on the man's face. He reached to his head, pulling the goggles from his eyes and up to his forehead. A displeased expression sat firmly on his face. "Well then I'd like to know what you're doing here. This is not the time nor the place for some kid to be running around." The angry head of the Dodrio glared down at him as well, its sharp beak glistening under the slim beacon of light.

EDIT: What's Sirius got against the police? XD Felix has his badge on.

The policeman, seeming fed up with having to squint at the boy in front of him, replaced his goggles in front of his eyes. The yellow light reflected dully off them. "In that case, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. It's not safe in any way, shape, or form for you kids to be out here in this weather at this hour." The Dodrio shifted its feet impatiently, alternately lifting them and stamping them into the snow. "Get back to the city." His voice sounded strained, anxious.

From far off, a loud bark rang out. It echoed off the trees, bouncing at them several times over. One head of the Dodrio murmured a low chatter. The man turned his head, staring out into the trees toward the noise. "If I see you out here again," he warned, "you'll spend the rest of the night under full police supervision. These forests are dangerous. Now, go." The light glinted off his goggles as he turned the Dodrio around to face the forest. The Pokemon took off like a rocket, bounding through the snow at at least forty miles per hour using its wide feet and long legs. The snow swallowed all noise, and soon all that was left to indicate its presence was a row of footsteps, rapidly becoming enveloped by a fresh layer of snow.

Charmeleon jumped back as Digit started charging it's attack,"Charmeleon get out of it's range and dodge!"Daniel called. "Char!"Charmeleon replied as he sped away from the coming attack. Daniel nodded approvingly as Solar power seemed to be working since it restores 1/8 of the pokemon's Hp every turn."Start charging Charmeleon!"Daniel called, Charmeleon borders and started charging his attack.

@green You have Solar Power backwards. Like I've been saying in my other posts, it boosts Special Attack by 50%, but it takes away 1/8 of Charmeleon's HP per turn. Proof:

"Coward," Margot snarled as the Charmeleon ran out of the way at the last second. She was prepared for Digit and Charmeleon to exchange hits, but it seemed the little fire-type was afraid to stay in the ring. But his next words set her on edge a bit. Start charging what, exactly?

It couldn't be Solarbeam, she thought to herself with a frown. It was a grass-type move and it didn't need to charge in full sunlight. What other moves were there that needed to charge? One-turn or two-turn moves? The only other two-turn moves that currently came to mind were Fly and Dive . . . better safe than sorry and guess one-turn. Better they gave two quick attacks and saved themselves some damage than one charged attack that they took some heavy damage from.

"Tri-Attack, NOW!" she shouted with urgency. The normal-type responded as soon as it heard "tri", firing off a rapid beam of swirling energy directly at the Charmeleon. It was becoming faster at using Tri-Attack--its three previous charges had sensitized it to the energy it needed.
