"Not EVERY sentence," Raven corrected herself. "You're not that good."
She then scanned the crowd, and caught sight of a girl who looked about her age. "Hey!" she waved, and the girl turned. "What's our first class?"
"English, D-12, that's first floor," the girl responded easily.
She turned to Zach and raised an eyebrow.

( @Asi : O_o WTF. )

Wow.
That shouldn't be possible.
How many American kids who went to a public school could flutently speak another language, even more so amazing considering that English was proven the toughest language to learn?
...He decided that he'd been out of the loop longer than he once realized.
What was next? Effing flying cars?
"...I stand corrected. Whatever. The point remains. I trust my power enough, unless it's picked the prefect time to become rebellious, or whatever happens to those stupid Ferals." Zach stood his ground with this. But if Raven didn't want to listen, she could go jump off a bridge for all he cared. Either way, he had a bad feeling about all of this...
But the most hiralious thing was in all of this was the fact he couldn't WAIT to get back to IoD.
At least he could train there.
Or enjoy his room alone.

@Taffy789 Nearly everyone in foreign language countries learn english at school, from what I can tell 😋
Besides, apart from this Falchion team, there are five other kids from IOD... ._. Only three of which have number level power.

"Okay, okay," Raven hoped his hair would start falling out one of these days. "Well, we can't do anything about him, can we, so i'll just go chat him up some more so he thinks us all dumb and harmless, right? And you can go act socially ret*rded and sniff out any more. Wait, don't tell me that's NOT an act," she smiled sarcastically and started ahead to her first class.

Evie slowly eased off her grip on the sturdy pipe attached to ceiling and fell, landing lightly on her feet on the floor soundlessly, like a ninja. Her antics were unecessary though, because the place was empty. She summoned help, which assembled in a beat. "Report," she snapped.
"I'm getting strong energy signals, but nothing from a fight." A boy volunteered after a minute.
"It's like it was a stand-off. Shows of power to intimidate each other into backing down," another suggested.
"There were three energy signatures." Evie blinked. He was outnumbered? "One is Four's for sure, the other two aren't Falchion," it was confirmed.

Wow. And she was saying he insulted her?
Hypocrite.
Nice insult, but still...
Hypocrite.
Now he wondered if he could find a way to fake injury and skip class...
The late bell rang.
Or he could just leave now.
As he was about the walk off campus, a teacher stopped him in his tracks, and started to scold him in French.
Zach merely raised an eyebrow, and regarded the teacher with a, "I wonder if he knows I could kill him rather easily" look that the teacher didn't pick up on.
After the Teacher was finished with his rant, he shoved the clearly-not-caring boy in the direction of the school, and watched him walk off to his first class.
On the way there, Zach couldn't help but remember how much he hated regular, weak people.
And the most ironic thing was that most of them thought they were smart, tough, or special, when they REALLY had the strength and brains of a sack of potatoes compared to a lot of the people he knew, and the only thing 'special' about them was the fact they, despite their OBVIOUS unsuperiorty, didn't have to go through heck everyday just to know that you have to do it all again tommorrow.
The scientists and the government was the worst, playing God and taking the normal lives of children and ripping them apart. And enjoying it, those disgusting pigs.
All the stupid, ignorant people in the world REALLY got under Zach's skin. Couldn't they just easily be gotten rid of?

This wasn't Evie's thing, but she gave it a shot. The first enemy sig she didn't recognize, and it scared her, for it was undoubtably stronger than Col's... It couldn't be that...
Evie forced herself away from that line of thought just as help cut in.
"The owner of the first unknown sig soon left the scene after the arrival of the last signature."
Which Evie recognized.
Her fists chenched tight and there was an ominously loud cracking noise, like bone breaking. Which it was. Nine did that sometimes as a relief, when she was extremely fustrated. Or angry, like in this case. It was also usefully intimidating. She quickly reformed the bone.

Raven sighed as she slumped into her seat, remembering to shot Des a smile as she did so, so that he wouldn't suspect it was anything more than "School".
[yeep] that kid. Somehow, being around Charm-y always made her act... Ugh, she didn't know. But it was IRRITATING. There was also the fact that he knew about-
Suddenly, Raven realized she'd been settling into the Falchion routine far too much.
Oh, god. If she didn't prove her loyalties, and soon, she'd have BOTH, heck, ALL sides after her dead body.
Charm-y... He was becoming problematic.

I still don't see... But whatever. When I write something that doesn't seem realistic, well... LET IT SLIDE THEN. Annabell lazily tapped on her desk with a pencil she found on the floor, not THAT excited about being back in a SCHOOL. If only this was a top secert mission to the movies, or a mall, or SOMETHING... Now, THAT would be awesome.
She daydreamed about a spy mission that actually allowed you to have FUN for a while, which was intrupted by Zach coming in late.
Seeing he was new, the teacher only gave him a warning-or at least it SOUNDED like a warning, she could have been telling him he had to spend three months in the dungeon with the dragon- and Zach just nodded in a hurry-up-and-let-me-find-a-seat kind of way.
Annabell noted that when he did pick a seat, he picked one to the direct left of Raven, and had an almost evil gleam in his eye when he did, like someone playing a prank on someone else.
That could've been a trick of light, however, for the gleam was gone in a nanosecond and replaced with the same, bored expression Zach always seemed to have plastered on his face.

@taffy789 Like I said. Could be one of those two, mysterious people from IOD one of which's power is utterly mediocre, the other has zilch ^^ And they speak English 😸
(So even if I'm wrong, i don't have to let anything slide! 😃)

Perfect, she thought sarcastically when Charm-o stole her left seat. Now, if I could just work out the best way to do him in...
She'd have to do it without attracting attention. If she could get this Des guy and him in a room alone, that would probably solve one of her problems...

The girl sitting next to Six was a Falchion from the First Division. Was Six actually doing work, or was he completely clueless? Blackie girl was the strongest un-Glaeroes power in a three mile radius. Ditched by the higher ups, who no doubt knew of the danger? He wondered. Where were the Numbers? There was nothing Glaeroes was keeping them, as far as he knew. Perhaps The Girl knew more, but it was no where near enough to get him to ask Her.
The other girl, the one left in charge, she was irritated. But not at them. It was focused on the Falchion boy to her left, and general distrust of the rest of her squad. This was poor. They wouldn't be any trouble.
What did worry Three was the strange calm. His skin prickled, He'd been feeling this for a while now. Back at the orphanage too. He couldn't sense any power though. So.... What were they?
He was almost scared.

Zach tapped his fingers on the desk, hardly paying attention to the teacher, and more on what was going on around him.
He let his eyes lazily drifted around the room, scanning the place for any sign of enemies.
If ANYTHING, all he saw were the signs of a massive zombie invasion, with the looks most of the kids had on their faces.
The funniest thing had to be the fact he could almost FEEL the loathing reminating off of Raven, as if she was a big, hate oven.

But, for backups...
If she was going to kill him, she needed to do it before they got back to base. Someone dying in base would be far too suspicious for her to get three meters away with it. And when they got back it would be truce month, I.e. No missions or opportunities to wring a certain someone's neck in that time.
Raven shot Charm-y a quick sidelong glance. Was she really going to kill him? Despite herself, she didn't think she wanted to.
You're a rebel, she reminded herself. He, and these people, are the ENEMY. And from what she'd seen, she didn't think he was the type to risk his neck by turning traitor. You cannot AFFORD hesitation.
Poison was very hard to trace. That's how she'd do it.

~~Class ends~~

Raven had no idea what the lady had been telling them all lesson, which was stupid because that had been English. Or maybe she had just seriously zoned out.
Anyway, when class ended, she hung around Des, making sure she didn't lose him while he stuffed books into his bag. Then he turned to her. "No one goes to the next class," he said quietly. "Wanna leave?"
Raven realized this was the most dangerous situation possible. She hesitated. "Where?" she asked, stalling for time.
"Just hit the shops with a few friends," he gestured to a group that had been gathering, which was more than half the class. That was a little safer.
"Can I bring a friend too?"
"Sure."
Raven looked straight past Zach and cheerfully waved Annabell over.

@Asi - Ah. XD

Annabell saw Raven waving her over, and started walking over to see what was up.
That's when she noticed the guy that Raven had just been talking to.
While she herself wasn't sure what happened next, she knew there was a good chance that she'd tripped over a desk by the fact that her face was REALLY hurting and somehow smashed against the floor.
And the laughing.
Okay, that was only Zach.
Annabell pulled herself up off the floor, trying to ignore Creepy-Wing's-Dude, and also attempting to get the Zach to shut up by giving him a dirty look.
It was ineffective.

Raven stiffled a giggle and made to whack Zach on the head with a handy dictionary. She wished she'd had the foresight to make the book or something innocent like it a bit more deadly, but as it was, whacking Charm-y so hard with a book that he died WOULD be a little suspicious. So she didn't bother putting any force into it, of course.
Just a normal girl whacking a normal irritating guy on the head with a book.
This time.

"Ow."
Zach rubbed the back of his head, trying to push the lump that was slowly forming back down.
He SHOULD'VE saw that coming, but his guard had been down while he was laughing at Annabell.
He GENTLY reminded himself that he should always have his guard up by cursing himself out mentally for letting it drop.

Annabell gave Raven a thankful look for shutting Zach up.
"So, what did you need?" Annabell asked, picking herself up as if there wasn't a guy who she'd charged at with a knife just a night before, which idiot Blaine would not tell her what was up with that.

"Wanna hit the town?" Raven asked, glancing at her, then Des, who suddenly had a short bubblegum-pink-haired girl (who was actually their age, but seemed to be acting ten years younger) clinging to his arm and trying to pull him towards the door (and failing miserably.) "Yah, Dezzy, let's goooo," she whined, then shot Raven and the others the kind of cute little girl smile that makes you go, 'Awww,' automatically. Des smiled sheepishly, the kind that said, 'Sorry about my little sister,' even though she clearly wasn't really.
Okay. Raven took a deep breath. Either they were really good at acting or.... Complete clowns.

@ASi Well, yeah... YACHIRU. O_o Bubblegum hair, little kid. O_o YEP. WAAIITT... is she a kid? O_o //looking at Bleach wiki//

"Awww-No, wait." Annabell shook her head. "Can we get the others? Like Jade? She's...somewhere, right? The more, the merrier!"
'Also, a better chance we don't end up getting our butts kicked, and taken to this guy's nest-or whatever-the-heck-is-with-him.' Annabell thought glumly.
Stupid Blaine. How is she supposed to know if she's supposed to be worried or not?

Meanwhile, Zach was now reading the dictionary Raven had just smacked him with, using that as a cover to listen closely in on the conversation.
'So, I clearly tell Raven this guy is dangerous, and she goes to the mall with him? Idiot.' Zach flipped to the next page, and was now on the page containing photoconductivity through photophore.

@Taffy789 O_O Oh yeah. But Morphine isn't like 5, just acts it. And is a little short 😋

"Fine," Raven shrugged. She noticed Zach been a complete loner and reading a dictionary. "And I SUPPOSE he can, if he wants," she said grudgingly.
"Okay, met you outside!" Des called back as Morphine started winning, helped by the fact that the rest of the mall group was starting to pour out of the room.

Zach grimanced.
Mall was not a common word to him.
And he would not enjoy it.
Then again, he couldn't let them die... Wait, he could.
But if they die, he would have no back-up if things got ugly if he had to face a Glaeroe, or at least other bodies to throw in front of dangerous projectiles.
Also, an emotion called GUILT was slowly drilling a hole in his chest and filling the black hole that was once his heart with the unpleasant feeling.
Zach REALLY didn't deserve to be here.
No, not at this school, not on this mission, not surrounded by a bunch of normal people he depised, though he didn't deserve these things either.
Alive.
It was at that point he realized he'd been staring at the word "Marmite" in the dictionary for way to long.
"Fine. If you so desperately need me there Shadow, I'll go." Zach replied scarcastically to Raven's offer.

"Oh, I don't," Raven muttered under her breath as she adjusted her bag strap, then headed out the door.
She did have a few coins with her, for which she was grateful she'd thought to put in. She was really in the mood for a triple chocolate muffin. Triple chocolate muffins were definitely best when you were contemplating murder.
Although she still wasn't sure they were going to the mall. They could easily use an illusion to lure them into an ambush.
... What the heck. The happy swarm of teenagers left the school and headed onto the streets, Raven, Des and Morphine among them.

The moment the class way empty, Zach turned to Annabell, who had still yet to leave.
Being the sweet, kind, and gentle human he was, Zach had noticed something odd about Annabell's reaction to Des, and decided to calmly and nicely approach her about.

"You saw that guy and basically almost killed yourself by tripping over your own two feet. Explain." Zach quickly rounded on Annabell, not giving her a choice to deny his accusation.
"Yeah, and you pointed, laughed, and got mauled by a dictionary. I don't really think I owe you any explanation."
Annabell replied back rather smoothly, and started for the door.
Too bad Zach beat her there, and slipped right between her and her exit, making it clear she wasn't going to leave the room intill she explained.
"Seriously? I've never seen that guy before."
"You're lying." Zach pointed out. "You HAVE. And being part of a team, we should tell everyone everything we know."
"Hypocrite. You seem to know something too!" Annabell argued back.
Zach didn't hesitat. "That guy is an enemy. And he has back-up."
Annabell paused, letting the information sink in.
"Well, that's all I know too, then." Annabell then forcefully smiled sweetly at the rude guy, and pushed her way past him to catch up to the group of teens.
'Crud.' Zach cursed mentally, letting out a sigh of annoyance before starting to walk after the group.
He couldn't say anything more to Annabell when she wasn't lying.

Col sat cross-legged in the field. The grass was so tall here that it was well above his head from this position, and with them swaying in the breeze, it was like being in the middle of the ocean. Except warmer, yellower, and a lot easier to breathe in. He was also virtually undetectable, unless someone was tracking him using energy signatures, which he felt was pretty unlikely.
He had to think about the offer.
It might have been attractive, but considering the messenger.... No.
How he would have loved to stamp out the Glaeroes Seven's cursed existence right then! If only...
And then he thought of Seven's promise. If he joined Seven and his side... They'd save the one thing that mattered to him.
That's about when Nine burst into the clearing and kidnapped him.

Three examined the people on the street as they passed him. He wasn't looking out for threats, merely amusing himself by guessing their occupation.
Baker.
Secretary.
Computer programer.
Carpenter.
FALCHION.
Three nearly tripped over his own feet as the enemy materialized just one street over. The power coming off this guy; it was INCREDIBLE.
After checking no one was looking, Three vanished.

"Let's go in there! I'm DYING for a muffin," Raven pointed out a bakery, and with that, the students filed in.

When Annabell finally caught up with the rest of the group, she then realized she had zero money on her. Great.
Well, she could at leats enjoy herself a while before having to go back to IoD.

Zach came a few mintues later, and scanned the area, keeping a look out for any Glaeroes, or enemies.
He had to stay on his toes, nothing could distract him...
Wait.
Were they selling dark chocolate in that store over there?
... He figured he had twenty dollars to burn.

SO, MORE FUN BACK AT BASE~

~~Back At IoD~~

"Nom Nom Nom." Eight chewed on the end of the popsicle she was eating.
Swinging her arms, she skipped through the hallways of the base, getting strange looks from people passing her.
"Oh, do you like my hair?" she flirted with a passing by boy, flipping her bright green hair with her right hand. Eight then latched herself to the boy's arm, giggling uncontrollably.
"How you doing, sweetie? Tehe!"
The boy freaked out, and immidentily pulled away from the Number, startled and confused. He quickly backed away and sped off down the hallway.
Eight pouted, then whiplashed herself around, and stalked into the Mess Hall.
As she did this, she noticed a girl was asleep at one of the tables. Mischievous, Eight produced a pair of sissors seemingly out of thin air and took to sloppily cutting the sleeping girl's hair.
The best thing was, very, very few people actually remembered that Eight was, actually Eight, and had no clue who this girl who'd "appeared from thin air" even was.
