Kay...they're in school, right? Easy enough.

Arianna concentrated hard on her work, unfazed by the sloth of her "classmates". She shot a glare at some of the noisy ones, but mostly kept to herself. Summer, seated near the back of the class, occupied herself by writing little stories and poems. She then composed a note, took aim, and lobbed it at the back of Jade's head.

The note read as follows:
'Hey Jade. Im ready to blow this popsicle stand. R u?'

Summer regretted using the overused and fairly corny phrase, "blow this popsicle stand", but it worked and summed up what she felt like pretty well.

Jade retrieved the note Summer threw at her, which read:
'Hey Jade. Im ready to blow this popsicle stand. R u?'

She smirked. Below it, she wrote:
'Let's actually blow it up. But since we can't, next best thing is a commotion, right?'

Jade crumpled and tossed the note back.
She reached into the mind of the chatty girl who sat next to her, obviously a popular sl**ty girl. Jade poked her, and said,"Hey there. I heard that's your boyfriend!" She pointed to the guy she was giggling to.

The girl rolled her eyes and said, "Yah."
Jade smiled. "He certainly didn't look like the boy you were making out with in this big green Jeep yesterday! Obviously, you have to be THINKING of that!"

And as Jade predicted, that piece of gossip spread like wildfire.
"Omigosh! I saw it too!"
"Me too!"
"Totally texting it!"

Summer read the note, glanced at Jade, and quickly scrawled a response.

'Sure, but Im guessing powers r off limits? Dont want the big guys getting mad ;-) '

She thought a while about what she could do to cause chaos, but not in a way that called out her or her classmates...Hm...

'is there any way we can mess up the room without being caught? Loud noises or distractions, etc.'

She passed the note back to Jade, and then smirked slightly at the gossip being spread.

Jade read the new note, and thought of a response.

'Hah. People would just assume I was guessing. Not even the littlest singe, or perhaps the fire detectors are off-limits too, Girl-not-currently-on-fire?'

She smiled and passed it back. Then glancing at the clock, they had about 25 minutes left.

Summer considered Jade's idea for a second, checked her watch, and started writing.

'I could, but if someone heard, it be a dead ringer for me and my powers. We only have a few minutes left anyway...'

She wished she could set off the smoke alarms, but it wasn't worth the punishment, and that would be ironic, being in the Punishment Division anyway....ah, well, too bad. She burned the corner of the note for effect, and, well, maybe for a LITTLE bit of smoke, and tossed it back.

Jade caught the note. She could see the small burn on the edge of the paper. This didn't meet much of an expectation, so Jade scribbled back:

'You disappoint me.'

Jade tossed the note back and left the classroom as the bell rang.

Summer caught the note and frowned. She crumpled the note up and tossed it away. At least she could get something to eat now.

Arianna was already down the hall and starting towards the cafeteria. Just for fun, she pickpocketed a French boy for some coins and a metal button. She tucked away her loot and smiled. More for the collection. Arianna opened the door to the cafeteria and walked inside.

Annabell was watching one of those French-Drama-soap opera T.V shows through a window of a store that apparently sold televisions. It was at that moment she realized that she should probley be heading back to the school at this point, the break period was already almost over.
Besides, it occurred to her how much having the chatter of a language she didn't understand around her hurt her ears.
Though, it was probley much worse in the school.
Either way, Annabell started to trudge back to the school.

Jade had strolled out of school for a quarter of the lunch time, and bought herself a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino from the nearest Starbucks.

She then walked back to school, her mind set to cause chaos to certain popular students at the school.
Jade perched on the nearest empty table in the outdoor yard, which had a perfect line of vision to the
popular' area. Jade could already see the girl she disturbed last period, applying yet another layer of lip gloss. Smirking, she stood up and was about to take a step in their direction when she was pulled back down.

"Jade." the husky voice warned.
"Leave me alone Karlan." Jade ripped her arm away from him.
"But Jade, I'm not Karlan."
That made her turn to look at him, hope sparking in her eyes.
"Just kidding." Karlan gripped her wrists. "Now stop messing with people and keep your cool."

"How would you like to... Go somewhere quieter?" the words were whispered into her ear as she passed, sending a shiver down her spine. Raven stared at him. Partly because the choice of words made it sound DIRTY. But she supposed if anyone HAD overheard, it wouldn't have sounded... Like he was probably going to try and kill her. She rated the chances as 98.1% likelihood.
Until, that is, he winked and curled his hand into a sort of half fist- only with his index and middle fingers pointing down... It was gone in a flash, but it was made unmistakable when immediately afterwards he tapped the same two fingers on his left shoulder.
She should never have guessed that this guy, of all people.... Was a rebel.
Raven nodded and after making sure no one was looking, returned the opposite gesture with the other hand.
She slowly started making her way to the front of the shop. No one could follow her... This was vital.

Zach had found, followed, and stole from that girl that had sat next to him on the bus.
Her IPod had been black, and it was filled with a bunch of French-Rock songs, at least that's all that he got from scrolling through her playlist.
He could make good money for it at IoD, perhaps.

Okay, now where is Shadow heading off to?, Zach inquired to himself, watching the back of a girl he was 99.9% sure was Raven leave the store.
He drummed his fingers on the bench he was sitting on, counting the seconds.
When he let them get seven seconds ahead of him, he quietfully stood up, as to not draw any attention, and started to weave through the crowd.
Zach knew he had every right to be stalking Raven.
Well, being a "traitor" was good of a reason enough.
Also, it was fun.

~Sorry guys, I made an error earlier. The Glaeroes number Col loathes so much who made him that offer, it wasn't Six (who is actually Des) but someone else, who I'm numbering Seven ^w^
GOD we need a new name for the enemy's single digits DX~

She wasn't even competent enough to realize she was being shadowed... Disgraceful. Des rolled his eyes as if to say, -Falchions. They never learn.-
What really rubbed him the wrong way? How Seven ALWAYS managed to get it right. True, the guy was head of Intelligence, but still, it would do him good to get SOMETHING wrong every once in a while...
As he walked to the door, Morphine NEARLY got him with a surprise glomp, but he dodged and shot her a look so serious he hoped even SHE would manage to sit still and not mess this up, for once. Somedays, Des wondered how he ever got ANYTHING down around here.
This was going to be easy. Piece of cake.
He'd deal with Shadow's "shadow" afterwards.

"So. What's the word?" the girl asked him, as soon as she thought they were alone.
The word? Des blinked. Evidently that had been some secret Falchion sign Seven had given him.
Raven tried again, confused at the mixed signals she was getting. "Why did they send you here?"
Eh. What did Des care about this crud anyway? Seven's weird behaviour was intruiging, but he'd always been like that. He'd get the job done, take the first flight (haha) back home and get a nice long hot shower. He straightened his posture, carefree smile on his face at the thought. "Me? I'm just following my orders," he flicked his wrist to reveal the thin blade he was holding. Knives weren't really his style, but it was quick and his strength was his flexibility, able to use any weapon with equal mastery.

Raven's mind went blank. Could it be, that the rebels... Wanted her dead?

<Blaine's status has been switched to; "OUT OF USE" ^^">

"All this time I've been in Fourth Division, and he's never even looked at me once," the beauty sighed, brushing her auburn hair and examining her reflection in the mirror. "Not really."
"God, don't tell me you've been pining for Four," another girl clapped her hand over her mouth. "Aren't him and Nine together?!"
"Why does everyone think that?" the last girl in the room wondered. "I don't get it. Haven't you heard the story?"
"What story?" the Forth D girl frowned.

"He had a girlfriend before. Came to IOD with her, and they were inseperable. She was known as Ebb. Him, her, Nine and some other guy were a team... And the succeeded on every mission. They were all promoted to First. Then, on the last task Four was given before the Truce, everything went wrong. It had been one of the largest Falchion camps on IOD in five years, and out in the middle of A-A too..."
The second girl gasped. "Not the Red Sand Massacre!"
The third, Karen from the First Division, nodded.
"What kind of story is this?" The Fourth D girl asked nervously.
"... A horror story," was the answer, a melancholy smile on her lips at the thought. "As you know, the fighting started without warning, in the dead of night. No one knows exactly what became of the watch... Apart from the fact that they are undoubtably dead. The team was awoken to the sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning, and the smell of human flesh burning... And the fourth member of the team's blanket lying abandoned on the floor. I heard that Nine went in search of the boy, while the other two engaged in the fighting. It wasn't her who found him though. It was Col.
He was lying behind the sad remains of a tent, dying. Col knew there was no way he could make it. They'd been like brothers. And then... Evie turned up. And killed him. Without a second's hesitation."
"She did what?"

Karen smiled again. "Stabbed him in the heart. Maybe it was a mercy blow. Or I'd heard they'd had a bad argument at one point... In any case, Ebb got angry and attacked her. Nine only warded off her blows, and yelled to Four for help, but he didn't. Suddenly Nine was hit by a blow from behind and knocked unconcious. Ebb finished the Glaeroes off in a flash, then moved on to do the same to Nine... Finally, Col woke up and told her to stop. When she didn't, that's when he realized this wasn't Ebb... She'd gone Feral."
"Oh my gosh," Lily flinched sympathetically.
"No one but Four knows what happened next... In fact, most of this story is just spectulation... But anyway, after what happened that day, and seeing Ebb like that... Col tried to kill them all in a suicide attack."
"Huh?" Danielle started.
"By releasing all his power in one sudden rush. You need a certain level of control, but most no matter what their power is are capable of it... But this is Four we're talking about. Before this, he'd thought his power was merely fire. In the explosion (which, I might add, is what killed everyone), he was incinerated into tiny specks off ash... Which, several days later, reformed."
"How did Nine survive?" Dani wondered.
"I'm not sure. Barely, I heard."
There was a silence.
"Well, on the subject of crushes on bosses, what about you and Three, Lil?"

Crud. Crud. Crud.
That was the word Zach was capable of thinking for a few seconds.
He'd TOLD her that guy was dangerous. He'd WARNED her to stay away.
Why was it, despite his power, nobody bothered to listen to him?
Zach then decided it was best to stop worry about the stupidity of others, and save Raven's butt.
The Glaroe's Six...His power confirmed that Six knew he was there.
Dang it, he didn't even have any good weapons.
Except... It was a better time than never.
He let a thin knife slip out of his sleeve, and curled his fingers arould the cold hilt.
Zach did a quick test in his head.
...Nope, even his power couldn't tell him whether he'd win or not, but it didn't look good.
...
Well, there was nothing left to lose at this point anyway.
The boy quietly slid out from behind the wall where he was taking cover.
"You know, I hate to play hero here," Zach stated loudly, letting confidence seep into his voice, showing dissumluation, "But just letting you kill her will look bad when I report back, you know?"

"Zach! What are you doing?" Raven whispered. Why was he so ANNOYING!? Why did he have to play the hero? Why did he run?
"Pfft. Falchions," Des shook his head. "Being dead also looks bad. Did you think about that?" he advanced.
Raven stepped backwards involuntarily, internally she was panicking. Was he a rebel really, or wasn't he? If the rebels thought her best dead, would she die for it? Riley... He'd never been this this. She frowned. Could she believe he'd do this? To her?
Thad didn't matter right now. What mattered was saving the stupid hero's butt. It was her fault he was in this mess. Then she could do what she wanted.
Raven fell into a battle stance, turning her body sideways to make herself a smaller target, and on the balls of her feet, ready to move.

Des sighed. He was all close-range, considering he only had the one knife, and he could tell from her pose she was mostly mid. Ready to go? he asked his power softy.
Always, came the reply.
He sprung forwards, with the speed of a cheetah. Raven didn't have time to throw a knife, and barely raised her blade in time to block the attack. He noted her knife... Expensive. Too bad. Some of the cheaper one's you could cut straight through.
Raven's eyes widened. His strength and agility were incredible. Her arm was going to give way in a second! She feinted a kick to the left then jumped backwards, catching her breath.

"Hey. Going after a girl like that, where's the noblity?" Zach taunted, starting to circle to Des' left. "Well, you can hardly call Shadow a GIRL, but, eh." He shrugged, ignoring the blood rushing to his head.
Adrenaline. Standing next to this guy was making his power go crazy.
His brain started to focus on the tinniest of details, while his muscles tightened, ready to dodge, or, most likely, figure out that Shadow was a lost cause, and flee to save his own skin.

"Not my call!" Des protested, as relaxed as ever, although he'd have never called himself NOBLE anyway... He'd have said "decent".
"So are you "nobly" going to make a move, or have you changed your mind?" he mocked playfully. Looked like this guy was all talk. He said he'd look bad if he just let Des kill her, but he didn't seem ready to do much about it. Maybe he had one of those powers that took time, to charge or whatever. Maybe he was going to drop an avalanache on his head when he was in the right position, that kind of thing. Des resisted the urge to glance up.
"I wouldn't hold your breath," Raven actually managed a smirk, remembering their play-fight, and how he liked to stand around and never attack. She really hoped Zach never got in the Truce tournament, because what if he met someone with a similar fighting style? BORINGIST AND LONGEST MATCH EVER. She couldn't help it; she giggled.

Zach had to resist the sudden urge to throw the kinfe at Raven's skull.
"Excuse me if I do better against vast numbers." he sighed without letting his eyes leave Des.
Darn, the conversation was starting to throw him off.
Now or never, Zach sighed.
He threw himself forward for a close attack, swinging his knife forward in a similar motion as you would a sword, on impulse.

For fun, Des let himself be caught out a little by the attack, also allowing him to get a better idea of his technique. Obviously the boy preferred a longer blade in battle, because swinging it like that wasn't exactly the most effective way to use a knife. He dodged right at the last minute, and then raised his blade to parry an attack from above Raven had launched. She jumped back again the minute they clashed, taking no chances.
Des snorted. "IOD doesn't DO large numbers. There aren't enough kids like us for that. Too bad you won't get a chance to be shipped off to the sourthern- Hey!"
He'd misjudged a little and the boy's blade had pierced his skin. By like a milimeter. He'd had worse papercuts anyway.
He stepped back and laughed a little. He'd wanted to get this done quick, but that was no fun after all.
Several well-aimed knives flew at him from behind but he knocked them down carelessly before they could touch him. He shook his head in amusement. Then frowned, lifting his hand up to his face and licking the cut. "Poison?" he asked, a smile flitting across his face.

Zach muttered a curse and readjusted the blade in his hand.
"Yep. If you die in a few minutes, don't blame me."
Well, that was a bluff, the poison wasn't that potent, but the point remained.
Zach lept forward again, now thrusting the knife towards Des' side.
