Zach stared boredly up at his number as it flashed across the screen; his former rage now just a melachony "What a drag." type of attitude. Oh well, nothing he could do now...-Except maybe fake sickness, but he highly doubted that would work in any case. So instead of pulling out a bag of fake vomit, Zach simply tightened the laces of his boots. He started to think about the feeling he'd felt in his head early... It was gone now, thank goodness, for it seemed that the new found "Truce" distraction had completely shoved it from his mind. Which was good, he could afford to have ANYTHING distract him while he was fighting...for it could easily become very bad....

What a shame... When Two was done with this, he'd have no more excuses with which to delay dealing with that wearisome paperwork. He hoped she wouldn't be so easy to crack...The torture chambers were on the second lowest level of the base, but that was the only thing they shared in common with that cliche idea of dark, dirty, damp cells with chains and rats gnawing on toes. No, the entire complex was white and sparking clean. The reasons for this was simple; they wanted to inflict pain without killing, therefore, it would be troublesome if they became ill or got an infection. Imagine having to send them away to heal. Also, such conditions would make his subordinates sick, too.Of course, his predecessor hadn't had the same problems. 'That' stupid incident had caused the precious remnants of the med squad to be moved off site. It had taken a lot to make everyone forget 'that'. Thankfully, people died."Eight's not here?" he lazily addressed some random walking past. The other shook his head, and tension which hadn't been noticeable until it was gone faded from Spike's face. Good. He couldn't do this how he liked if she was there.Stiff as a board, and shaking, Raven didn't looked up as Two entered the room, nor as he sat down. But after a good ten minute's silence, she couldn't take it, and dared to look upon her previous leader's face. But she may as well have stared at the wall for all the answers it gave her. No emotion, nothing. She'd never seen someone so completely... Lacking.

@Asi Creepy. XD "Hey...I'm late again, aren't I?" Eight pondered out loud, the heels of her boots making the loudest taps that seemed possible as she skipped across the spotless linoleum floor. "Hey, YOU!" she suddenly shouting, stopping one of the many of Two's underlings in his tracks. "Two wants to see you in one of the interrogation rooms! Something about...suspicious activity...And you and I both know how good he is at getting answers out of people..." Eight smiled wickedly, causing the poor private to pale as white as a ghost. "Hehe, Just kidding!" Eight giggled, her face changing from one of pure evil to one of a child's in a heartbeat, almosting giving the boy a heart attack. "Anywho~, Two started without me...So he must not need me right now... Now, go send him a message saying I'm here, and he can send for me whenever he wants! Also, go get me a latte! No cream, hold the sugar, extra dark, foam, decaf, triple cream, hold the onions, latcosse intolerant, gulten free-" By this time, Eight realized that the boy had sped away mintues ago to go deliver her message. Simply shrugging her shoulders, the Leader plopped herself in the hallway and started to wait. (Call her whenever or never. XD )

"You know..." Two sounded extraordinarily casual. "I was once sitting in the same seat as you."Raven stared in horror. This couldn't be happening. He wasn't much older than her, right?? He could NOT be about to tell her an old man, "When I Was Your Age", tale!"Well, it was actually five doors to the left, and the seats were less comfortable. Or rather, non-existent," he admitted.Okey. He was still fairly human. And... He seemed to be being friendly? Her brain worked fast. Keep him talking. "You were a spy?" Raven asked in disbelief."Oh, no. Well. I was in what you'd call Third Division," he shrugged. "But no, I can't remember what I'd done..." he trailed off, thoughtful. "No, wait. I'd killed someone from Ninth in the cafeteria."Raven stared, thinking; do not want to eat there again. Swallowing, she managed to ask; "Why?"Two's eyes, black as they were, seemed darken. For a moment, he didn't answer. Then; "Two doors to the right, there is a boy right now having white hot knives slowly sinking into his flesh. This is simply the warm-up exercise. He's been here fifteen days and he knows this. He still won't talk. Why is that?"Raven shivered. "I don't know..." she said honestly. He ruffled his hair in a weary manner. "You don't, do you..."Silence expanded between them.

After the first few seconds of waiting, Eight became utterly, incurably BORED. Now, this usually meant she would run around the torture Chamber like a five-year-old on a sugar rush, bursting into random interrogation rooms and demanding for snacks. (Usually squirtable cheese, which, if she was given, would usually spray at the person nearest to her, giggling madly.) Luckily, a few of the people working in the Chamber's had figured put a way to solve this problem, and as soon as they saw Eight standing up, they quickly put it into action. "Hey, Eight! Look! We have a coloring book for you!" a young girl quickly exclaimed, shoving a box of crayons and a book into the hands of the Leader. "OOH! I'm going to color the one with the puppy and kitten playing!" Eight shrieked happily as she was ushered to a chair sitting right outside of the room Two was currently in. (She's....Easily....Uhhh... XD She just likes to color, okay? XD Lawl. )

"... That... Is also why I was in Third Division. I was meant to be in Second from the start- my power is... Ideal. But," he paused, like he was finding it hard to form the words, "-we- came from somewhere special. He," Spike swallowed. "My brother was selected for Third. So I followed him."Raven realized he wasn't so much as talking to her anymore, but to himself."I never wanted to be in Second either. But..." he took a deep breath. He was staring at his hands. "That year... When I was Three. And... He was Nine. He wasn't ready to die. That's what he told me. When the Glaeroes invaded."Now Raven was utterly confused. This guy... Made no sense whatsoever. He'd had a brother... Who in the Truce, betrayed their whole side to save his skin?"And that's," came the sigh. "How I learned about pain. Betrayal. Punishment."Raven felt exactly like a child when their parents skipped the entire last three chapters of a book and told them the last line before sending them off to sleep. "What happened your brother?" she wanted to know."He is dead," he narrowed his eyes. "I killed him."Oh."Now," suddenly, without any noticeable physical change, Raven could tell; Two was back, the emotionless, inhuman leader. He reclined in his chair. "Want to know why my power is ideal for torture?"Oh crap."That's because I can draw out every little milli-second of your pain... And make it last... Forever."

Operation: Eight Occupiers Operatives: 278903, 284570, 231565.Time: 284570's watch got blended by his angry girlfriend who was on kitchen duty that week. And 231565 does not feel like looking at the wall while writing this.Mission: Keep Eight occupied!Other: If we fail, 278903 might have to scrap cheddar from the inside of his eyelids again.~~ "Maybe we could lock her in the observation room-She could just watch Two from there." a subordinate whispered to his teammates, glancing at the ditzy Leader from the corner of his eye. "Nah." another boy, about a year older than the former, shook his head, "Two didn't give us clearance to do that-And I'm not about to be the one to go interrupt him and ask." "Dontcha think we're over-reacting just a TINY bit?" the girl flipped her hair from her face. "I mean, sure Davey had to get his eyes.. flushed out...with scalding hot water....But that doesn't mean-" "Hey! Look what I colored!" As if on cue, all three of them flinched. "Here, you can have it." Eight tore the page out and handed it to the girl, then proceeded to skip back to her seat. "...See! She colored a picture for-" the girl paused as she realized that the picture of a puppy pouncing on a kitten had turned into a rather wonderfully detailed picture of a puppy maliciously attacking a kitten. "....I swear, she's laughing at us in her mind." the older boy whispered, still staring at the picture. (Meanwhile, Raven is being brutally tortured! 😃 )

"NOOO!!! Oh, please... I- I can't-" she sobbed, curling up into a tiny ball. "P-please...!! I can't-! I don't WANT- I hate you!! I can't- anymore- without..." Tears streamed down her face, and with the steady dripping of the caves, and torrents thundering down outside- the first in months- it seemed like the whole world cried with her.Guithe stood still with fright as her friend practically tore herself to pieces. "X-Xela?" her voice shook.A sharp exhale came from the tormented dark shape and the screaming stopped. Xela sat up slowly, brushing her fiery hair, drenched in tears, out of her face, eyes red from crying. She looked at the floor, offering no explanation."How do you like your pain?" Two inquired, face completely impassive, as if asking about her choice ice-cream flavour. But by now, Raven was terrified. "I'm thinking, Chinese water torture. Doesn't take much. Drives you insane, but that's not my problem.""W-why..." she stammered, and swallowed in feeble attempt to pull herself together. "Why did you tell me all that? If you're just... Going to...""You want to know why?" he sounded amused. "This why." He leaned forward and told her; "So you understand why... You have to die."Suddenly a knock on the door. "Uh, Two..." came a nervous voice. Two got up and walked over, as if expecting it. "Yes. I'm done here anyway. You can take over.""Hey!" Raven yelled. "Wait!" She... She wasn't ready to die, either! He was already gone.
taffy789 • 2 September 2012 at 10:42 PM
Eight looked up from now coloring a duckling, which she'd somehow turned into a festering zombie, as soon as she heard the door open. "TWO-EY~~" Eight practically shouted as the leader emerged from the room. " HOW WAS IT, DID THEY DIE!?" She practically paid no attention to the one OPENING the door, as if they were made of celophane. (Celophane...Yeah, That's how you spell it. XD //no idea// )
asi • 3 September 2012 at 12:21 AM
"Die?" he shook his headwhile he walked, not waiting for her. "I don't have TIME to for every measly traitor's last hour." Spike glanced at her coloring-in page as he passed. "Eight, you are so talented," he told her, purposely not identifying the field in which her skill lay.He stopped where the corridor turned, as if expecting someone. On cue, Riley appeared; the image of a some kind of rodent cautiously inching from the safety of its hole sprung to mind. How long had he been hiding there? Scared of Crazy Eight, habit, or was shyness some weird part of this guy's personality?? Of course, this was why he'd been interrupted, but... This was one of the very few occasions where Two had absolutely no idea why. Well, there was the fact that he had rigged the test scores, but surely his pet wouldn't interrupt for something as trivial as that.
taffy789 • 3 September 2012 at 10:37 PM
"Thanks.", Eight giggled, "I try." She then stood up, tossed the book carelessly to the side and started to tag along behind Two, chattering aimlessly. "Can I be dismissed now? Or do I hafta forcibly rip the info out of someone's mind again? I mean, or else I could've not just come down here....I could've done something useful! Like....Icecream. Now I want to go and get some sherbet....OH! That reminds me, there's this place in Detroit I've never heard of-" She paused as soon as Riley appeared, looking at the boy through squinted eyes, as if trying to place his face to something. "Oh....Do I know you from somewhere?" Eight questioned, completely focused on his face. (You can tell her to leave. XD Seriously, it'll take all day for her to remember she'd met Riley only a few minutes ago. X3 )

"Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up In the morning when the day is new And after having spent the day together Hold each other close the whole night through Happy times together we've been spending I wish that every kiss was never ending Wouldn't it be nice~~" Zach could've almost facepalmed at the choice of waiting music the stadium was blaring over it's loud speakers; he couldn't help but wonder if it was just another pathetic tatic to 'brighten the mood' and try to make light the entire Truce situation. Speaking of which, he had spent the last fifteen mintues watching the Effie Trinket impersonator moving from person-to-person in the stands, chatting with random spectators and looking rather bored-but still stubbornly in character. "You know it seems the more we talk about it It only makes it worse to live without it But lets talk about it Wouldn't it be nice~?" Zach frowned, sinking a bit deeper on the cold bench, as the song started to bring back memories of smiling doctors humming along to catchy 60's songs as the ran tubes through the arms of nine-year-olds-Those heartless...- "Yes, it's a lovely day for the Truce~" Drat, the Effie Trinket girl was now just a few people away-Zach quickly got up from his seat and left the area as fast as he could.

Two blinked slowly, feeling unusually exasperated. "... Yes, what are you actually doing here?" he addressed Eight in a deadpan. 'Waiting for him? How very... Sweet,' he thought sardonically. Was that a headache coming on...? Strange... His gaze rested upon Riley, who was looking increasingly shifty. Oh? His pet was actually checking out Two's own barriers... He couldn't help but sigh contentedly. Riley's power was increasing slowly but surely, by the hour, evidence that he was correct in his assumption. 'The link between power and human was not severed completely, merely disrupted by some outside force, and weakened with neglect,' he thought, pleased. 'Seems it is returning with his memories. Luckily. Starting from scratch would have been a waste of time.' And Two was a little relieved that his pet was finally showing some personality in his actions, as he appreciated subordinates which he could understand."You want a word?" he casually asked Riley, who nodded, but looked a little intimidated of speaking with two such powerful Numbers around. (His purpose was to talk to one, and that was by far scary enough!)
taffy789 • 16 October 2012 at 1:20 AM
"I wanted to see if you needed help with your torturing~" Eight replied, still staring at Riley if trying to place his face. After a few more seconds of exagerated frowning and scowling, she blinked, and instead adverted her eyes, starting to pick at the loose threads on the skirt she was wearing, apparently growing bored with bothering to remember. "Anyway Two~" she started yet again, turning an off-balanced pirouette, stumbling to her right, but miraculously not falling over, "I'm going to go bother Shortcake now-Don't you love it how he thinks he's so tough?" Eight giggled, appearently talking about Six, then skipped away from the two, still giggling. (I can't write. XD Tired...)
asi • 16 October 2012 at 6:57 AM
Tsk. Had it been anyone other than Eight, who knows how much pain they would have suffered before Two was even willing to hear an apology. Thankfully, it was Eight, and he merely let it slide along with whatever other craziness she was spouting. (Shortcake, seriously? Did she mean Six? Honestly, Two pitied the poor guy; at least it would be over soon). He watched Eight leave with a small sigh.Sometimes, she made him feel ten years older than he was, something he found extremely depressing. Two had a very good reason for being conscious of his physical age even without the stress of his work, and ten more years was alarming to say the least. There were, however, times when Eight's antics were just so funny and cute... He could almost remember how to smile. But more often than not, Two merely watched her antenae grow.Shortcake.... Spike was surprised to find that actually making him a little hungry. Maybe Eight did make him a more human after all....But what Riley did next blew all thought of snacks from his mind, as his gaze fell upon the kneeling boy who looked back up at him with beseeching eyes, while pleading; "Please! Don't hurt Raven, my friend...!" It was clearly difficult for Riley to do this, his damaged pride obvious from pretty much any angle you looked at him from. After a few seconds, two to be exact, Two blinked and his mind went back to food. On second thoughts, perhaps just some simple crisps, he decided, staring at Riley, for once at a loss for what to do.
taffy789 • 16 October 2012 at 6:22 PM
Somewhere a bit down the hallway, Eight started to hum the tune of a song she never once heard in her life. ~ ~ ~Drip. Drip. Drip. He wasn't sure what was more miraculous, the fact that the water hadn't froze yet, or the fact he could hear anything over the roaring winds that tore up the once peaceful mountaintops. Then again, maybe "peaceful" wasn't the right word... Scowling, he glanced at the entrance of the cave he'd holed himself up in while the blizzard raged outside, staring wistfully as he saw the occasional bright light flash, barely visible within all the white. Lightning. Somehow, the sight of it excited him-though perhaps it was just because he could remember his Pain being always a bit fearful of it. Charge, on the otherhand, wouldn't mind living in a place with his natural element surrounding him. The stillness of the cave then started to nag at him, promoting Charge to summon a small electric spark to his hand, trying to ward off the growing urge to shatter the cave around him on a whim. He was bored, to be frank, and the ferals that seemed to be CRAWLING within the snowy mountains were rather stupid beings who seemed to be wild, without a lack of reason, raw power trapped in a human body. Charge could almost say the same thing about himself though, but his superiority to the ferals was obvious-He'd gotten common sense to match his taste for blood. Speaking of superiority, it seemed as if the Pain had also finally learnt its place...

*Bliss, status report?* One requested quietly via telepathy.Bliss, disconcerted for a moment by the sudden voice in his head, relaxed and wandered over to the bedside. His brows furrowed in concern. He was a twenty-one year old doctor, exceptionally talented, and... Gifted. He'd attended Super School, but because of the nature of his power, Bliss had been sent here; the government's secret hospital, which catered those injured at IOD, and also those rich enough to pay for the care, as this was naturally the best hospital in the country, with all of the staff like himself, possessing healing Powers. Not so long ago, actually, they had been stationed on IOD, but then that, "incident", and, well.... Bliss was one of the very few lucky ones.Life as a healer was pretty good. The hours weren't bad, plus three days a week off, and after six years, you could quit (or continue with PAY) and do whatever you wanted with the rest of your life.Of course, unlike those at IOD, Bliss wasn't a danger to society. He could only heal, after all, not walk through walls or kill with a look.Bliss looked down at the teen labeled a threat to society, who couldn't even breathe without two healer's assistance, and sighed.*Oxygen deprived, his throat practically crushed and he seems to have suffered severe internal burns...* he shook his head. *We've put him into a comatose state. Luckily, he's a strong kid and hadn't used up all his power. But... He's still not stable.*

One yanked her head free and sighed, before letting her COMI drop down onto her desk with a satisfying clunk.COMI (communicator): a headset device which allows the user to make telepathic contact with another person, so long as there are no barriers. However, it is very difficult to use, as it requires exhausting amounts of the person's Power energy to operate, and extreme concentration. It also takes a lot more power the further the distance, and IOD was impossibly far away from anywhere. One quickly downed a shot of coffee to regain her energy, then sank into her chair. Really, why did she sit at her desk, anyway? It was just for show, of course Two didn't expect her to do any work. She kicked her feet up on it, bored. She flicked through IOD's secruity camras like tv channels.~"God, when'll the first match start already?" Random person 1 grumbled."Nine's out, Eight's always skipped, Seven was rushed off to hospital... Who's going to be fighting?""I'm pretty sure hospital isn't an excuse...""Uwaaahh, is Seven gonna die?! He's too cute to die!!" Random person 2; gender= questionable.~

@Taffy789 Before you read this, take a deep breath and mentally prepare yourself for some incredibly scary character development... Calm... In... Out... Bunnies... Flowers... Chocolate... Okay XDOne looked at the floor. She didn't want to throw Seven's life away. Surely that wasn't necessary... (And yes, she'd seen him; he was too cute to die)."Yes. It is." She promptly fell off her chair. How did Two get the nerve to sneak up on her like that? She pouted in annoyance before picking herself up off the floor, and making a mental note to sack the doorguard."You know why," he continued, unrelenting. "However..." Two had slowly closed the distance between them; before she knew it he was right there, his breath tickling her check. His dark eyes glinted mischievously in the dim light. Just like that, she was having difficulty thinking straight. Was he... Flirting with her?! He'd never done that before... Not to anyone, in all the time she'd known him. Her eyes narrowed. He obviously wanted something off her. Hastily she took a few steps backwards. "You... You don't have to do that, you know," she told him, awkward, flustered. Two smirked, and inwardly Kitten fumed; conceited jerk..."However," he continued, as though nothing had happened, "there is an alternative, which could give you time...""I'm listening," she grudgingly admitted.

~Later...Two turned to leave, a faint smile proof he'd got what he'd wanted."Oh, and Spike? Why don't you try /that/ on Eight?" One asked him with an air of innocence. He gave a quick bark of laughter, surprising even himself. When was the last time he'd laughed? But he supposed it was understandable. Today he was... Almost happy. He quitted the room without answering.~One slapped her palm to her forehead. She knew she shouldn't have agreed to this; she was sure Col would tell her it wasn't in accordance with the rules. But it was nothing, right? Why... Why did Two even want that, care? She couldn't think up a possible motive. And... D*mn it, Two was almost as good as her at her own power...!Two was dangerous. What was his goal? She feared, that whatever it was, she wouldn't be able to stop him...
taffy789 • 29 October 2012 at 2:58 AM
@asi If he tried /that/ on Eight, he'd get a blank look and a, "You need a mint". 8D Ah, how loving my character is~ .3. She's like, a ray of sunshine with skeleton horses pulling the chairot of death over a rainbow while running of a few leperachans. Basically, that was a pretty messed up image, which describes her pretty well. X3 -- It was bad enough having to deal with the stress of the Truce; he certainly didn't need Eight within a five-mile radius of him. Yet, there she was, literally five inches from his face and practically shouting about his imminent destruction. Betting with herself how the killing blow would be delivered and going into all of the gruesome details. How she even knew what the scientific term for the veins located in the front of your neck were was beyond him. Six grumbled unhappily, and nobody could really blame him. Eight had always HATED him since he'd become a Leader, it seemed. Every free chance she got to annoy him; she took. Every injury she joked about. Every mistake prodded at. Yet all done with such an innocent look, no one would ever REALLY think she harbored some deep resentment to him, for she was just "Crazy Eight", and that was just how she was. -- Now you, I'll finish this up after your next post. *3* //tricky//

@taffy789Even if he didn't need one? X3 But he knew that and it's exactly why he laughed XDXD LOL, that mental image is amazing XD When I get up to drawing this, THAT will be a coverpage XDAnd pshh, even I know that term X3 You only need to read Twilight (I'm pretty sure it's in there. Goldfish memory, but pretty sure)."And now, the first battle of the Truce will begin shortly! But first, allow me a few seconds to explain how this tournament will work, and the new changes!"Raven looked up at the screen, showing the irritating recurring character of Effie Trinket. She wasn't sure if she was glad or not that it was being projected for her, too. For some reason, she'd been left completely alone ever since Two himself- to her, the anticipation seemed worse than any torture she could imagine. At least this would distract her."It's very simple! The order of the challengers will be mixed up, whichever gets lucky gets first pick with their Challenge Right! Yes folks, this means the challenger can choose which Number they will fight for the placing!" Effie vanished and ten faces appeared on the left side of the screen, nine on the right- One wasn't included. On Eight's picture, "non-combatant" was stamped across it. As for Three, everyone below had been moved up; Four taken Three's place, etc. It seemed like Fain had been given up for dead. Seven was completely gone. Had Col killed him? Raven frowned. There were three black squares at the bottom.
smilies • 29 October 2012 at 4:00 AM
"See those blank squares?" Effie cooed. "If a challenge chooses one of those, they merely need to fight a SIM for our entertainment.... Buuut, once you've taken a spot, of course, there's nothing stopping another challenger for choosing YOU," she giggled callously."And here we go, shuffling the challenger numbers now! May the odds be ever in your favor!"Even Raven had to admit that that actually rather fitted here.Order: Personal Number (Rated Ranking)First: 136 (R9)-Second: 102 (R2)Third: 162 (R6)-Fourth: 177 (R5)-Fifth: 134 (R10)-Sixth: 129 (R8)Seventh: 113 (R7)Eighth: 116 (R4)-Ninth: 306494 (R1)Tenth: 142 (R3)-"Let the Games begin!"

"Anyway, your office is WAAAAY bigger than mine! Can I have it afterword?" Six sighed. While the others did just blame her craziness for most of her behavior, this Leader, on the other hand, was fully convinced this wasn't the case. He'd done SOMETHING to her, something to spark her anger during what seemed so long ago. Sadly, he still couldn't really put her finger on what that was. Then again, Evie had also hated him, so maybe it was just something about his personality? The very thought made Thomas feel a twinge of what could have been defined as sadness, but his train of thought was quickly interrupted by Truce officially commencing.- Zach paused, looking at the numbers on the screen thoughtfully. Seventh? Good.It would certainly give him plenty of time to scope out the competition... So, you could say, he was a bit... Lucky.Zach could've almost laughed, but decided it wouldn't be very becoming of a "power Truce competitor" such as himself.

Wait... Does this mean I actually have to think up POWERS for these unimportant kids? XD Ah, well.... x3 Of course, the first kid had to choose a blank box. The SIM fight was clean and fast, nothing too flashy or spectactular, though the boy did show excellent hand-to-hand combat skills, as he was able to dispatch his sim with just mixed martial arts before pulling a knife. Then again, Zach noted, this boy was ninth in the rankings, so nobody expected anything amazing from him-Especially if he was trying to conserve his strength and not give away his power too soon. (Zach had a feeling this boy had an offensive power too, not one that was like his, where it wouldn't show even if he was using it or not.) - (IDK. XD *laughs* Deal with my incompentence. ^^;; While I go steal fanart. XD *laughs* )

@Taffy789No reason for you to make up powers if you don't wanna ^^"So much Two, huh."Gene... How old do I look?" he suddenly questioned her out of the blue, turning around as he held a hand up to his face, like he was examining it for signs of age.She looked up from her place on the floor (she was slipping a foot into an extremely long boot) with a speculative expression, then answered though she were used to weird questions like that, so unlike Two; "Eighteen or nineteen.""Is that... so." He frowned, but immediately dropped the topic. "Looks like you're up," Two informed her, though seeing how the assistant was busy tying her laces (the laces on her boots went all the way up to her knees. It took some time), it was clearly unnecessary. "What are you going to do?""What do you want me to do?" she asked indifferently."... I really couldn't care," Spike decided."I figured as much." She took her leave. He went back to staring at his palm.~Finally, the silver-haired girl had to admit there was nothing she could do. There was no way she could reach Nevarda now that Two had her; meaning Nevarda was as good as dead anyway; job done. For now, whether she talked before dying or not, it was okay, for with her.... Sources, Stella would know the instant any troops were deployed to attack them. (Truce was, after all, only with the Glaeroes, not the Ferals, or the rebels). But the sooner she could get back and warn everyone, the better. Now she just had that other thing...

102 VS 5 (Gene vs Thomas).Raven didn't know much about 102, Two's assistant. But around the second division, she had heard a few whispered rumors... Heard some of the unfortunates who were tasked with the disposal of dead bodies muttering something about them being horribly mutilated. And once, seen the assistant in passing walk into a cell. Not two minutes later she thought she heard the faintest of screams, so quiet, she may have imagined it, but it hadn't sounded human. But that was impossible, as those walls were tested scream-proof.@Taffy789 I'm gonna have to try to RP as Thomas, because it'd be wrong to act like he's no one after all you've written about him X3You CAN keep him if you want ^^"By the way, WHICH empty box did that kid pick? 6, 7, or 9? Or do you want Eight to move up?Thomas swallowed nervously, internally cursing Two the worst possible manners. Sometimes it just seemed like everybody hated him. But if this was a plot to get rid of him, they'd underestimated him. This girl didn't seem to pose much of a threat, much too skinny and weak for a real fight. She was an assistant after all, probably spent all day trapped behind a desk and a mountain of paperwork; as for her getting second placing, no doubt Two had rigged it. Two... He was all talk and no punch; when did he actually fight? Two'd grown lax and lazy. His victims were already strapped to a chair by the time he dealt with them! But Thomas was stronger than ever. He'd show them.

As soon it began, it was obvious who was the better fighter. Every time traded blows (she wielded two knives, the right much larger and mostly for defense, the other the opposite; he just used a sword), she was clearly the worse off, losing ground, every so often her defense failed and she'd get cut.Raven sighed and leaned back, wondering how much longer this could last. What was Gene's power? She doubted it could make much difference, as Five was definitely going to win.Thomas was just thinking he may as well finish this off now, when the girl darted forward, scoring a light slash across his shoulder, but leaving herself wide open. He retaliated quickly, and Gene was sliced across the belly; if she hadn't leaned away just in time, it should have been certain though prolonged death (if without urgent healers). What unsettled him was that even after such a painful blow, her blank facial expression did not change. He supposed she was Two's, after all. Then he saw how it had already stopped bleeding. Was her power some kind of self-regeneration? That was a relief- it wouldn't matter if that little scratch was all she could do.Whereas his own wound- however insignificant- would vanish the moment he changed shape. That was a little something that made him special; his injuries did not follow him through forms, unlike most.Imagine his surprise, when he shifted into a tiger, that the scratch remained. W-what was this?!Gene smiled a little before she moved onto the attack.
