Am I the only one who's still loving school? D:I had four assessed assignments to do this weekend, though. Really doesn't help that I'm packing the entire house up and organising things to go into storage, bins and the new house. I basically have to pack up everything apart from my parents' stuff and my sister's. :IHow's everyone else doing? Anyone got plans for Christmas or the holidays yet? c:
whereiscupcake • 24 November 2013 at 2:59 PM
@karamel I don't love school any more. Lunches are spent working on CATs we didn't get enough class time for, and then there is compositions in music- the programme is only available in school on their computers for students.I also spend evenings doing cadets and on friday there is piano lessons, which aren't school related but school makes them less enjoyable by making me panic about tests and homework I have to cram in or have a detention- which takes more of my valuble time which I need to spend eating or being with people!I feel really left out of everything because of school blocking me from my friends and family and for filling me with so much stress and dread for weekdays that not a day has gone by in the last couple of weeks where suicide hasn't passed my mind. I've just had enough of it. I am trying to focus on positives but then there is that science graph I need to do at lunch tomorrow...the composition I need finished and sheet music memorised for Tuesday...My Spanish writing task...I have gotten a panic attack just from writing this and that's not all I need for this week. All I have to look forward to is badminton and lessons on Hamlet and Macbeth in English. I guess 4 enjoyable hours out of 25 isn't too torturable (excluing lunch)...<<<<<END RANT THING>>>>Otherwise, very good đ Christmas decorations have been taken out of the loft and are going up soon. We are getting a budgie at the end of this week and my uncle's wedding is coming up soon which will be great because I get to meet cousins I haven't seen for years or haven't met before! I can't wait for the holidays to begin so I can see if anyone can come over this year đ Best case scenario: My first sleepover in 4+ years!

@karamel I was loving school but then I got too overwhelmed by school, work and trying to find a place with my friend and help him with his school and stuff, too. o-o There's just not enough time in the day. X3Over Christmas break, I'm just going to be working a lot as my friend and I are saving up money to move in the beginning of January. Nothing too exciting. How about you?@whereiscupcake In four years? That's pretty insane. x'DBut I hope it's all fun and stuff for you!
whereiscupcake • 25 November 2013 at 11:47 AM
@april__ I would say it's because people are 'growing up' and would rather go to concerts or out for a day in town doing whatever but my friends are -very- childish. I know they have sleepovers a lot and go to eachothers houses a lot, yet they question why I often think they don't like me O.oSo tired...so much homework...wish I could skip cadets and use that time for the work but I have to go tonight...I need sleep and candy floss right now đ
april__ • 25 November 2013 at 11:54 AM
@whereiscupcake Awe. I'm 20 and I still have sleepovers. Last week, my friend came over and we watched Lord of the Rings all night. It was awesome. đ Granted, it doesn't count really because we ended up pulling an all nighter. But close enough? This is also something we've done regularly since we were in elementary school, movie marathons all night... xDThen we went for a drive, and walked around town wearing Avengers masks waving at all the people walking their dogs early in the morning. His hulk mask kept scaring people. It was grand old fun. đ I know the feel. I'm at work, and doing homework on 2 hours of sleep. Zzzzzz. Good luck with your work & stuff. It's a major pain. I can't wait to be done this semester. I almost forgot about an online exam I had this morning. Thank goodness the teacher sends out reminder emails.

@whereiscupcake Wow, you've got a lot! And by CATs do you mean the Cognitive Abilities Test? If so, you've got a lot on your plate for someone so young. Is there a way you could do some work at home as well? You've got cadets, but do you have to go every night? I'm sure they'll understand if you miss a few days a week or something. Last year I had loads of things on my plate (I was at a new school and just settling in, and it was more about getting to know people rather than studying--sort of like the first year of university đ), but this year it's a real wake-up call. I was part of the school council, a form 'captain', a charity representative, and a vice-house captain last year, but this year I decided to take a breather and I'm now just a charity rep. Even now there's always something to do. D:I hope you're able to relax during the holidays! I've got more baseline tests as soon as the holidays end and some end-of-term tests right before the holidays, so it's all about no rest for the weary. xD*gives candy floss and a pillow*@april__ Ooh, good luck! Congratulations if you've gotten accepted for any jobs so far and congrats in advance if you haven't. And good luck on moving and packing up your stuff (if you haven't already). c:I'm in the process of doing that now, but it's annoying because the house we're buying is brand new and it won't be done until the start of next year. That means I have to sort my stuff into things that'll go into storage, things I can keep now, and things that'll go to the new (temporary) home. I'm just hoping that my parents don't mix up the boxes! My plans for the holidays are to get involved in some volunteering, since I haven't done much of that at school. Otherwise it's just resting and then panicking for the last few days once I realise I've got exams within the next week. đI've never actually had a sleepover. Granted, it would just be an 'over' because we wouldn't get any sleep!

@karamel I actually have a full time job. But thanks, I'll need the luck as I'm trying to help my friend find one as the one he's at isn't a good fit for him. I'm pretty stoked to move in with my friend. It'll be like a sleepover every night with the best friend. Which is awesome. đ Although, I am slightly worried about negative effects it may have. Packing is bleh. Luckily, I don't have a lot of stuff. Also partially unluckily, as I literally have no furniture or anything. And oh dear, that sounds like a hassle. Hope it works out. That sounds like a good plan! Volunteering is a great way to spend the holidays. I won't have time to do as much as it this year as previous years, but I do intend to get involved with a couple different things. And really? I didn't have much when I was younger. I seem to have them much more frequently now that I'm an adult. As weird as that is, and they mostly consist of board games, movies and video games. I'm a boring youth. đ

@karamel Cadets is on mondays and fridays and not going for quite a few 'sessions' in a row leads them to wonder whether you quit and perhaps being kicked from the unit. It's best to go as often as possible so you can work your way through the ranks...I just came back from tonights sessions and everyone is on defaulters...literally O.O We didn't finish rounds on time đ@april__ In that last sleepover I had we ate cold pizza at like 2am and played on the wii for hours XD I have loads of videos of us riding bed sheets downstairs and playing with my dogs (generally just being as close to being drunk as a sober person can be...). Those videos really make me wish I was as close to one of those friends as I was years ago, secondary split us up in classes âšī¸
april__ • 25 November 2013 at 7:35 PM
@whereiscupcake It's unfortunate when that happens with friends. Ironically, I'm not friends with any of my friends from middle or high school now. Yet, my best friend happens to be a guy I really didn't like, and he really hated me during school now.And now we're the closest of friends. My point being, you'll find new friends. đ I've actually never played a wii. I stick to my xbox. XP

@april__ Oh wow; full-time work /and/ studying? *applauds* đAnd nah, I actually still play plenty of Scrabble and Chess. Just on my computer. Against a computer. Alone in my room. xD@whereiscupcake Oh, I thought you had cadets every day. x3 Good luck keeping up with homework! Just plough through it all; don't think about the time. I made that mistake too many times and I spent half my studying time just 'glancing' at the clock.@dragonii I would've thought you'd had enough of monkeys for now. đ
whereiscupcake • 27 November 2013 at 12:42 PM
@karamel A lot of my friends think that too when I first mention it think all we do is practice first-aid on dummies...A lot of stress has been taken off me now Tuesday is over and I am clear about what I'm doing in each subject đ However, my friends are starting to worry me and make me feel like they don't like me again...it's probably me overthinking though- at least I hope it is...
april__ • 27 November 2013 at 4:05 PM
@karamel I used to play backgammon a lot with a friend of mine. I enjoy that game. X3It was our Friday night activity. I've never learned to play chess, though I want to. Scrabble is a favourite though. â¤ī¸ Board games are amazing, especially logic ones. I love using logic. The ones that are all luck make go, 'ehhh' but so long as there's some skill involved I'll love it. â¤ī¸

I haven't been able to sleep for over 40 hours. Now I'm tired but I can't go to bed for 10 more hours. So what do I do?Egg Cave. I come on Egg Cave. x'DHow was everyone's Thanksgiving? For those in America at least. đ We had our Thanksgiving in October.
fakeworld • 30 November 2013 at 3:28 PM
@april__ I enjoyed my thanksgiving, it was one of the best I've had in awhile. Just a little sad the sweet potato pie gone lol. âšī¸
april__ • 30 November 2013 at 3:59 PM
@fakeworld Sadness about the pie. I really enjoy pumpkin pie. It's delicious. I wish it was thanksgiving now. I want turkey, haha. xD

Good morning everyone!I wish you all a safe and happy day. đ
karamel • 9 December 2013 at 1:00 PM
How is everyone today? Anyone doing anything exciting for the winter holidays? c:I'm just about ready for the holidays. My brother's already come back from university--he gets an entire month to rest! (And he only started in October, not September.) I get the lousy minimum of two weeks. D:Had a Geography test today as well, and I have a Mathematics test on Wednesday and a Physics test on Thursday. And then, of course, I have tests in all my subjects (approximately 15) next week as "end of term" tests and the same again at the beginning of next term (as "baseline" tests). :INot sure if anyone's got them, but good luck to anyone who's taking mock exams during the course of December/January/February/March! đ
april__ • 10 December 2013 at 1:24 PM
@karamel I'm pretty good. I have one English exam today, and an Economics exam tomorrow. Then I'm done until January! Hooray. đ And I am jealous of your brother. It's two weeks for me too, and I started in September. That is a lot of tests, the best of luck to you, too. V_V I really enjoyed Physics. â¤ī¸
gamma-helix • 10 December 2013 at 4:56 PM
There is this part of me that wants to ask, what's a sweet potato? And why make it into a pie?
karamel • 14 December 2013 at 6:38 AM
@gamma-helix Thought I replied to this already, but I probably just closed the tab instead of clicking the 'Post Reply' button. :xSweet potatoes have a sweeter after-taste and are a little thicker than normal potatoes, I think. Have you heard of jacket potatoes? The sweet potato (not the skin) is usually orange (sometimes yellow), whereas the jacket potato is usually yellow. A jacket potato is more oval shaped, whereas a sweet potato is longer and narrower in width.I guess people make sweet potato pie because sweet potatoes taste good in pie...? You may as well ask, "why do we have chocolate cake?" I like to think that people just accidentally drop random things into pies and then taste it and think, "hey, that actually tastes pretty nice."Whether the random things they drop are edible or not, I don't know. đ
gamma-helix • 14 December 2013 at 8:12 AM
... I always thought pies were meant to be savoury... /ducks from the thought that tells you where I'm from...
donnaoliver123 • 14 December 2013 at 2:31 PM
i am newcan someeone ham\ngou withmei need some more
karamel • 15 December 2013 at 6:12 AM
@gamma-helix I'm not sure if it's the spelling (of 'savoury' / 'savory') or the savoury pies that gives your country away. đ
asi • 15 December 2013 at 6:21 AM
@karamelReally? CX I'd say the same thing as @gamma-helix, and I'd be willing to bet that we don't have the same country, and that you can't guess mine- at least not on your first try ;D
