@asi Erm, so definitely not anywhere in Britain. D: I thought @gamma-helix might be British/English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish because of their spelling of 'savoury'; Americans say 'savory', right...? x3

Australia? Mexico? Germany? (Not sure why I think Germany. Possibly the sausages.)

Google isn't helping. :c

You're right about the spelling, my country uses the U but it's none of the ones you suggested CX
If it helps, I live on an island ;D

@asi Ireland? D:

Sicily? Rhodes? Majorca? Mykonos? Santorini? Ibiza?

I just searched "islands in europe" on Google and got a whole load. xD

Are you in Europe, or is it in a different continent?

(I want to guess this. Don't tell me the answer. D: )

I sure hope you can guess this ^U^

We were a British colony, hence the spelling... I don't know why we don't seem to get sweet pies or anything though CX

@boxofcrayons Hey there, glad to see you're back! I'm doing well, but I've got quite a lot of end-of-term exams. :x How have you been?

Good luck on getting an Autowl, by the way. 😸

I'm so happy I'm done with all my exams & Christmas shopping.

Now there's just hours of wrapping ahead.

How is everyone else? Anyone else on break & enjoying it?

@karamel Hello yourself 😊 I'm almost through my exams, but the two scariest are tomorrow :/. I'm goof for the most, there sure is a lot to catch up with here though!

@april__ I still have two exams tomorrow. T.T very jealous of your freedom.

At least I get to go home tomorrow!

@april__ Congratulations and well done! Good luck on the wrapping. I personally think those are the hardest--after exams, of course. 😋 I've just spent an hour writing cards to everyone. Can't believe it took me an hour--there were only 48 cards to writing. e_e;;

I'm pretty good; I had a half day today so I was home for the whole afternoon. Spent the first half of the afternoon finishing up homework and revising, then the second half writing and wrapping. I don't break up until Friday, although I have a half day that day as well. c:

I'm preparing myself for the rest of the end-of-term exams that are going to be thrown at me this week. 15 exams / 4 days = 3 or 4 exams per day. Considering each exam is one and a half or two hours... x_x;;

Are you on winter break already? D:

@boxofcrayons Oh gosh, good luck for your exams tomorrow! Just remember to try your best--you can't do anything more than that. Don't panic. c:

*hugs* I know the feeling; maths, physics, and geography exams all on the same day? ;;

@Meteoroid Good luck on your exams! Get some well-deserved rest over the holidays. c:

@boxofcrayons

Aha, thank you. I'm so happy they're done. Then back to school in January. O_O Good luck!

@Meteoroid

Best of luck! And hooray for venturing home. 😃

@karamel

15 exams?! That's crazy. I thought I was going to explode only having to study for five. Especially Economics. Ew.

My semester technically ended on the 28th of November, but then I had some exams spread out throughout December. My last one was on the 11th. I've been enjoying freedom.

@april__ They're not like official mock exams, they're just end-of-term exams by the school. (It's to mark your progress and whatever else.) We have "baseline" tests at the beginning of term, as well. :x

Why did you choose to study Economics if you don't like it? o:
I'm sure it'll benefit you in the long term, though. It'll all pay off in the end!

Glad to hear your exams are over. I've can't wait until Friday--then I can join the exam completion club! 😃

@karamel

Ah, that makes sense but still... Tests are... Well. I, personally, don't test well.

Economics is unfortunately required for the completion of my degree.

I really love Accounting though, which is one of my other courses. And Marketing. The rest are amazing, it's just Economics. And next semester I have two Economic courses out of my 5. xD

Hooray! It is quite a happy club. I keep refreshing my email, anxiously awaiting my course grades. XD

@april__ All the teachers say that there's "no need to worry" and that "they're not that impotrant", but considering the first and last weeks of term just consist of exams... x3

Oh, that's really unfortunate! D: But if you become a famous or successful businesswoman or a CEO (or even the owner of a bank) give me a shout, will you? 😋

When do you get your results back? o:

@karamel

There's no denying one should worry about our exams. One of my courses only had two exams. The first one being 45 % and my second one I did last week weighted at 55. That's a lot of pressure. >_< I wish the teachers would get some kids don't test well, but learn the concepts.

Thankfully, a couple of my courses were a bit less weighted and had assignments.

And for sure, I'll give you a shout. xD

It depends on when the teacher marks them. I have my marks for two of my courses. Just need the other three.

I forgot what it was like to not be stressed. No more Christmas shopping or exams. And it is lovely. I enjoy it.

Do you have any plans when you go on break?

@april__ yes yes yes; I completely agree with that last sentence of your first paragraph. I much prefer assignments and coursework. Tests really aren't the best way of showing a student's true ability.

Good luck! For now, though, just relax. 😋

Just volunteering (doing a few charity runs and volunteering at a centre for the homeless) and then resting. I plan to go to London (partly for the volunteering and partly just for a break) with my family for a week, too. Are you going away anywhere or doing anything special? c:

@karamel

Especially those tests that require you to memorize forumlas and such. In reality, one can always search a formula. It should just be based on whether we can apply it. Not memorize it. >_< And then use it.

Refreshing my email paid off. I now know 3/5 grades. I hope my other teachers are speedy, too.

And relaxing is good, yes. And no plans really. Just stoked to give everyone their things. 😃

And volunteering is good! It leaves you with a nice feeling.

@april__ Oh, yes. I've always wondered why we've needed to memorise things... In real life, if you're fairly successful, you will probably have access to the Internet and you can always search it. You're not going to be forced to be in exam conditions all the time, especially when you work--you're allowed to Google, research and flip through books. :x
