Yeah, it's definitely a great idea for a quick, yet tasty meal! Glad you like the looks of it! 😊 I decided since I'm on break for the semester to start doing some more cooking, and I'm glad I found that recipe. It tastes like Chinese food. 😊

@karamel My thoughts exactly.
However! It turns out I did way better than I thought I would in all my courses. 😃 I'm so pleased.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

On a random note, I got snake bites today. They're pretty awesome. 😃

I always get such an empty feeling inside once Christmas is over. Maybe it's because the Christmas spirit has faded; or because there are no more surprises to unwrap; or because the short-lived contentedness of acquiring material objects isn't as satisfying as you'd think;.... or maybe I'm just hungry x3 After all, it is 4:36 in the morning here, and I haven't eaten a single thing all yesterday or the beginning of today.

@april__ Congratulations and good job on your results! 😋

Erm... I was a little confused at first; I thought "snake bites" might be snacks because you said they were "pretty awesome". xD They weren't venomous, though, right? *worried*

In the UK, the only venomous (and non-illegal/foregin) snakes we have are addders. Thankfully.

@april__ YOU METAL PERSON. Hhr, I always assume someone got bitten by a snake when they say snake bites -- the thing isn't that popular and I freak out every frigging time. Dx
But then my brain kind of clicks and I get it.
What kind of snake bites did you get, doll?

@ilovedoctorwho
Ditto... But then I look forward to the new year! 8D
Usually I get even more sad when new year's coming if it was a good year like last year was, but this year... Yeah no, 2013 was kind of boring and I look forward to a ton of stuff in 2014 and y'know, I always have an unrealistic new years resolution that I get excited about... so it's kind of okay for me this year. ^^
Make an arrangement with friends to exchange tiny gifts around new year too.
*passes over fish fingers* Want some? =P

@karamel

Snake bites are piercings. 😃 Sorry. I actually just learned the term before I got them.

On the topic of snakes though, I'm getting a new snake soon! I love snakes. ❤️

@jupiter_hollow

I got two small hoops, kind of in between the middle of my lip and corner on both sides. Once the 6 weeks are up, I'm going to put studs in though.

@april__ Ooh, okay. I was so worried at first. *relaxes* xD
Just normal silver studs, then, or some snazzy ones? 😋

What sort of breed? Figured out a name yet? o:

@karamel

They're silver hoops currently. I intend to take them out after the six weeks and replace with studs though.

And a yellow boa! I'm quite fond of snakes. ❤️

And no idea on a name yet. I was thinking Buffy, because of my favourite show but I'm not too sure yet.

Strictly vegetarian? Do you eat animal byproducts? =o

@gamma-helix You lucky person. D:

@april__ Oh, awesome! I do like snakes (I love how smooth and elegant they look), but I don't think I'd ever be able to handle or keep one. x3

edit: I just realised we passed the 5,000 posts milestone. Congrats @gamma-helix for the 5,000th post! 😋

@jupiter_hollow I don't eat anything that could be considered meat. Yesterday, my Mom was cutting a ham (ew!)and I literally gagged from the smell.

It does smell bad even if you're not vegetarian. Gosh, have you ever smelled rotting meat... it turns your stomach!
No, I meant do you eat cheese, eggs, milk? Animal byproducts - products gained harmlessly from the animal.

Awe, well thank you. xD

@karamel

I really enjoy snakes. They're not too hard to care for but most people start out small. Although, having them makes some people too afraid to come by my house. xD

@april__ Do you actually need to give them any exercise? If so, how? I can't imagine casually saying to my parents, "oh, hey, I'm just going to take the snake out for a walk; be back in a mo~". xD

Er... I'm not too surprised. 😋

@karamel

Well, generally, I've been told it's good to 'handle' your snake once in awhile. Taking it out, and letting it roam somewhere else. I suppose that's the form of exercise? xD

I just imagined putting it on a leash and walking it with my dog though. xD That'd be quite the sight.

@april__ Would the leash even be secure on the snake? I think a dog's neck is thicker than the width of a snake's body. xD

What do you feed them? o: I've never actually seen a snake eat. I just imagine them to eat like frogs eat flies--quickly dart their tongue out and all that jazz.

I've never had a pet (only some goldfish that swam into the tank's filter and... erm... got shred up, to put it bluntly), so I'm pretty curious about this stuff. x3

Oh... then google is wrong, apparently...
I don't eat eggs, but I eat the other listed things, I would be a vegan if I didn't 😸

Anyone doing anything special for New Year's? I'm staying up to watch the fireworks in London on TV. *-*

(And happy New Year's, everyone. ❤️)

@karamel

I just watched the local New Year's party on TV. It was a little funny, though!

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. So, Newfoundland and Labrador in a time zone 30 minutes ahead of us.
So, when the clock reached 11:29:50 our time, everyone did a ten second countdown and shouted 'Happy New Year' to celebrate with Newfoundland. They even shot off confetti! And there were a couple fireworks.
Then they did the real New Year half an hour later. XD

Yeah, so basically they celebrated two New Years on TV. 😋

I've discovered that my cat is a dilute tortoiseshell cat. She's not purebred (at least I don't think so) and I have no idea about her linage. She is currently residing in the bathroom for the night. 😋 I've been reading a lot about cats lately. Cats, alpaca fur, sirens (for the novel I'm writing), Scribblenauts, and chocolate peppermint cookies. And eating cereal, even though I rarely do that. Well, I wasn't reading about the cereal thing, just thinking about it. I've also been slacking off on schoolwork, so yay, last-minute projects and unfinished books. Or unfinished projects and last-minute books. Probably both, by the way things are going right now.
...Random post, lol. This topic hasn't been posted on for 4 days? D:
