@naked-snakes-box I'm doing fine. I can't stay on long, though, because it's almost time for school. So... See you later, I guess. π
mastergemma • 22 May 2015 at 8:35 AM
@animalzThat's great XD@naked-snakes-box@alyssafight2@fuzzyarticdragonsHave fun at school! For me, it has been an interesting week. I've had assignments due and one was worth 50% of my total subject mark >< I hope I did well! I hope everyone is doing well today.I'm currently watching a Eurovision encore of a semi-final. So far my favourite is Serbia! I winder if it would change when I finish watching it and youtube the ones that I missed. So, is anyone else going to watch Eurovision? Oh, Hungary is doing very well too! I love all of these songs!!! My sister is entranced with this song too.Edit - WOW, Georgia's song and outfit is so cool!
naked-snakes-box • 22 May 2015 at 9:26 AM

mastergemma • 22 May 2015 at 9:47 AM
@naked-snakes-boxFairy tail β€οΈ I love that song!I'm happy that this year Australia is in the competition, but I'm still questioning why Guy Sebastian was chosen. If it was closer to when he won Australian Idol, then yes, but nowadays he's just pretty much a memory. YES, my favorite songs are going into the finals!!
fuzzyarcticdragons • 22 May 2015 at 5:07 PM
Hello! Is anyone here willing to chat with me? I'm trying to enter that new contest, but I need more posts.
hashtagnight • 22 May 2015 at 5:14 PM
@mastergemma I am a Homestuck fan, so the numbers 413 and 1111, and all the other homestuck numbers are important! π
marae19 • 23 May 2015 at 5:14 AM
@mastergemma Australia joined Eurovision? I didn't know that, thought that's probably because I don't really watch it these last few years. I do love Fairytale though, I'm actually fairly sure that I still know all the words from the chorus. π
noah • 23 May 2015 at 5:30 AM
Really looking forward to Eurovision tonight! It's become a bit of a ritual in my family. Not rooting for the UK entry to be honest, but I never do- ours are always a bit rubbish. Conchita was my favourite last year, and I was so glad she won! It'll be great to see the performance again, and we plan to make a night of it and cook Chinese food to have with a bunch of snacks. My other plans for today are to buy some videogames, drink a crazy amount of coffee, and see if I can think of something more interesting to do with a bunch of leftovers. If I have time, I might even get round to doing some writing!Have an amazing Saturday everyone, and enjoy Eurovision!
paranoiac • 23 May 2015 at 6:40 AM
@nightmaremoon12 *emerges from the shadows*Did someone say Homestuck π
kschr26 • 24 May 2015 at 1:03 AM
I spent the day playing truth or dare which was interesting, the fact that I licked someones foot proves im crazy!π
mastergemma • 24 May 2015 at 5:23 AM
@fuzzyarcticdragonsThen chatting on the Shoutbox is a perfect place to start πMy suggestion for newer users for this contest (it's just a suggestion and if you want to do otherwise go straight ahead and do so) is to just take a step back and take a look through the archives and get a general idea of what creatures already have as descriptions. @nightmaremoon12Curious! I really need to investigate Homestuck one day but I never have time due to homework and anime. @marae19We only joined because it's the 60th year and Eurovision wanted to do something special for this year. Plus, Australia is only had a place in the final instead of going through the semis because SBS paid for him to go through. There's even rumours that Australia may be allowed to continue participating in the competition and as an Australian, I do not like that. It's a competition for Europe, not for the whole world. If they want to allow Australia to continue in the competition, please change it to the Worldvision singing contest!@noahI watch Eurovision but it's an encore that I see. I also missed the 2nd semi final show because I had a friend's birthday. I haven't seen the finals yet, it's starting in 15 minutes but I already know the winner :/This is actually the first Eurovision that I've seen. I wanted to watch it last year but I missed it. I only discovered that it was on after Conchita won as it was what everyone was talking about in class. It was rather interesting as everyone was talking about her. From what I've seen, I think Russia's entrance is my favorite. It's so beautiful! @kschr26I love playing truth and dare (but with my friends it used to only be truth and truth). That's crazy, I probably wouldn't have been able to do that!
kschr26 • 24 May 2015 at 5:48 AM
@mastergemma Yeah its always loads of fun! I once even ate a spider, so I guess I always do my daresπΈ
mastergemma • 24 May 2015 at 6:29 AM
@kschr26Wow! I remember once quite a few years ago I was playing with some school friends at our swimming carnival and my friend's dare was to go to the toilet and come out with toilet paper stuck in his pants and to his show. Toilet jokes are always fun except the ones that deserve to go down the dunny.
hashtagnight • 24 May 2015 at 6:45 AM
@paranoiac What Homestuck? There was never a Homestuck here, and there never was.@mastergemma And I'mma troll u by giving you a summary.A boy and friends and trolls play a game
paranoiac • 24 May 2015 at 6:51 AM
@nightmaremoon12 Of course, of course πΈAnd you missed a great opportunity to use "Lemme tell you about Homestuck" meme ;-;
noah • 24 May 2015 at 6:52 AM
@mastergemmaI hadn't watched any of the semifinals because I wanted to keep it a surprise, but when a lot of the songs started, I realised I'd heard loads of them on the radio already! Australia's was actually my favourite (closely followed by Israel and Italy), and after how successful it was, they might be allowed to enter again, which would be great if it meant letting other countries have a turn as well, or changing it into Worldvision, like you say. Being in the UK is very frustrating when it comes to this, because we pour a huge amount of money into it (so that we get automatic entry), but then give the performance to someone nobody's ever heard of (like last night), and top it off with a novelty/joke song, that is guaranteed to fail. It just makes us look silly, and the act that gets chosen is literally never heard from again.
kschr26 • 24 May 2015 at 7:01 AM
@mastergemma Wow that sounds so funny, I would have taken lots of picturesπYeah I've done some crazy stuff!
mastergemma • 24 May 2015 at 7:08 AM
@noahI'm actually loving most of these songs! I don't know why people do not like the UK's entry, I enjoyed it! Guy actually did us proud! His performance literally finished a few minutes ago on the encore and I was proud. He did great, much better than everyone thought because he's been under the radar for the last few years. I already know who won (thanks Facebook) and I seriously cannot wait for the next Eurovision as one of my favorite singers may . But then I don't know if this singer is popular in his country.
marae19 • 24 May 2015 at 7:24 AM
@mastergemma 'Ah okay, that explains it. Seeing as Holland rarely gets through the semi-finals (only with Anouk and The Common Linnets the past two years), I don't really watch it. But I agree with you, it should either be for just Europe, or for the whole world, including all the continents. I would love to see a singing contest like that, all the different styles of music, it would be great.
aardbeix3 • 24 May 2015 at 7:27 AM
We ended 4th place, our entry was waaaaay better than the one we sent last year, boy that was really bad. We didn't even pass through the semi-final then.I think Sweden is a deserved winner, but ofcourse I would've loved it if LoΓ―c won πWasn't a big fan of Russia's song, for me, it sounded like just another ballad. But she's an awesome singer though, but I didn't like the song.My faves were: Belgium (hehe), Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Italy and Israel (it was so catchy!).@marae19 and omg, indeed that would be so awesome.
funyarinpa • 24 May 2015 at 7:38 AM
Just realised that I complete missed Eurovision, oh well. I really only watched last year for the transitions with the flags (They did have those this year, right?).I would like Eurovision if it was all rock, metal and alternative- the only genres I can actually listen to, but I doubt singers like Myles Kennedy or Olli Herman would care to compete in something like that XD
mastergemma • 24 May 2015 at 7:41 AM
@kschr26Unfortunately it was before the worldwide I-must-take-photos-of-every-little-thing-that-I-do boom (please note the distaste in my tone here). I do not understand everyone's lust to snap everything instead of participating 100% and @aardbeix3@marae19Russia, Georgia, Romania, Greece, Aussie, Serbia, Belgium, France, Israel and the UK are my favorites I need to watch all the songs again, and the ones that I missed on yesterday. Oh if there was a world singing contest Korea would win hands down! The K-pop fan base is just so large and I know that I would vote for them no matter what XD But yes, a world wide contest would be amazing!Oh no, not more country puns. I refuse to be Hungary for punsSBS (the channel that's hosting the contest for Australia) has a poll for those who are watching to see which team is our favorite and in the poll, Australia is at 94%@nightmaremoon12Not sure if internet trolls or troll trolls XD
aardbeix3 • 24 May 2015 at 11:18 AM
@mastergemma omg yes, K-Pop is SO popular.I also know a lot of people here that LOVE it.
hashtagnight • 24 May 2015 at 9:42 PM
@mastergemma Troll trolls. Just troll troll aliens from another planet.
sorrow • 24 May 2015 at 9:54 PM
@mastergemma Dat Chica Doe, and that Carl, on her shoulder, not on the plate thats on her hand. And why does Carl need teeth?
mastergemma • 24 May 2015 at 11:15 PM
@teddy267I have no idea but it's terrifying! So the cupcake is called Carl, cute!@aardbeix3I was talking to some people from University and they also said the same thing about including Asian countries. Plus, Korean artists are great performers, which Eurovision is partly about! @nightmaremoon12Thought so! I guess you could say, that I was 'trolling' with that comment.
sorrow • 24 May 2015 at 11:36 PM
@mastergemma its a fan name, but i like it. π
fuzzyarcticdragons • 25 May 2015 at 10:22 AM
@mastergemma Thanks for the advice! I've looked through some of the archives already so I know a bit of what the judges are looking for(I hope). I'm an author of some books so I was thinking that I'd like to give this contest a try. Do you happen to know when it ends? I wouldn't want to miss it.
aardbeix3 • 27 May 2015 at 3:37 PM
@mastergemma exactly! It would be so awesome πI love music, so I'd def. watch it ^^
mastergemma • 28 May 2015 at 7:08 AM
There's nothing better than finding a special guest in your midst. I was doing an assessment for my statistics class and I felt something touch my face. I thought nothing on it, until I saw what landed on my arm. A light brown-grey eight legged lumping spider no more than 5mm was sitting on my arm, it's chelicera (the things that look like massive fangs) appearing to "dig" into my sleeve. I flicked it onto the floor thinking that thing was on my face, that thing was on my face, that thing was on my face while I tore a piece of paper from my book to transport the creature outside. I'm happy I don't have a bad fear of spiders (moths and butterflies on the other hand...) but that didn't stop everyone else around me from freaking out when they found out about the uninvited guest.@fuzzyarcticdragonsSorry, I don't know when this batch is ending! But I would say that towards the end of the month a few would end. But new ones will always be released!@aardbeix3I love music too, sometimes I prefer music in a different language because then you listen to the song as a whole; the different instruments, the vocal, the tone of voice instead of listening to the words!@teddy267Is Scottgames still showing Chica? I'm trying to load the webpage but it's not working properly (I must be getting near my Internet limit)Oh wow it's the 28th! Oh my, this month flew straight out the door!
