i screamed at this steven universe panel. wish i was there ;^;

i just watched a video and i cried so hard when young steven was there. he was so adorable ;^;

It's about a young boy who is half gem, who learns how to use his gem powers by seemingly semi-immortal gems, who form a group called the Crystal Gems. His gem can summon a shield, and that gem is where his bellybutton should be. The gems of the group are Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl (AND STEVEN!) and the four go on magical adventures. Steven can have just a shield or a bubble shield, depending on how he feels instinctually, so his shield doesn't appear by force, he has to feel protective and he could be able to summon it. The other gems don't do anything, they just summon them.

The first episode is Gem Glow, so it's the episode all newcomers should watch. I watched since the start of the series.

Oh, winter is just lovely this time of year, especially getting a third of the months average rainfall in just under 24 hours, having the temperature remain at a constant 9-12 oC, and not seeing the sun for extended periods of time due to clouds.

In my summer it's like that too. Last year I was able to actually see the fires from my house, which was rather surreal considering I live on the edge of a suburban town. Wait a second, those fires struck in spring, not even summer.

Fires are the only real danger in Australia, well for the southern half it is. Summer is a terrifying time of year for those in the country regions, there's even advertisements that tell them to move out during the summer.

@mastergemma I am jealous. Aside from the fire part. Although, we get our share of those too. We have a lot of forests.

The wettest part of North America was on fire. And they figure Canada will lose its rainforests by the end of the century. I like the rainforests. :/

We've had over double the amount of fires we had last year, and we aren't even halfway through summer...

We broke records as well. 109 was our highest I think. I got second degree sun burns. It was awful.

Luckly we have only had one fire so far, the Little Spokes Fire, but there are ones from other places are getting close to us.

That was the temperature one year for my birthday XD (~43 oC) In the northern parts of Australia they are getting around 90 to 100F weather, despite it currently being winter. In some places in Australia it can easily reach the 110s, even the 120 (50oC)

I keep seeing Splatoon all around the internet and I've seen quite a few reviews of it but I don't see the appeal. What's so appealing about Splatoon? I don't see why it would be so popular but so many people are absolutely crazy about the game!

It's just so much fun. Like, that's the appeal. To be completely honest, when I first heard about it and everything I wasn't interested in the slightest. I purchased it mainly because my friends wanted to play it, but I decided I would try it by myself. I'm not even sure how long I played that night. xD The entire game is just colorful and vibrant, the online 4 vs. 4 multiplayer is chaotic and intense at times, and everything about it is just...fun. You can't possibly frustrate yourself playing this game. xD

AP test scores came out a few days ago. I didn't do as badly as I thought that I would. Still, my first fours are from this year. Meh, I should've studied more and done more work. I practically gave up on schoolwork in the second semester.

I need to stop procrastinating and do over-summer work. I'm supposed to annotate Farewell to Arms and write some stuff for an upcoming AP class and do a lot of memorizing for AP Spanish in addition to reading a Spanish story. I haven't started and I'm already feeling overwhelmed. Just a few weeks left of summer break...

Well, it's just my thought. There's no proof that it's at Purple Guy's house (yet).

That song is rather nice. It's definitely going to be stuck in my head all day unless I find something else, for some reason it reminded me of the Hamster Dance by Hampton the Hampster. Now THAT is a great song! I remember hearing it on tv, back when I actually sometimes watched the music programs. Now I'm listening to Darude Sandstorm, I love music.
