Edgar stared at the new girl. People were money hungry. And he was just hungry. He wondered if he could team up with the musician. She seemed just low enough that she would be able to help him steal. But she also had an apartment. He turned to the blond and asked "Do you ever have trouble earning enough to eat?"

Mau ignored the girl. She didn't get compliments, so she didn't know how to respond. Mau heard music playing. Music meant money. She snuck into the plaza and glared at the hat. Maybe when no one was looking.....

Mau cursed under her breath and backed away. But, before she left, she threw in two pieces. 'I can always steal it back,' she thought. She knew that the girl was feeling aggressive, so she showed her the hilt of her knife sticking out of her boot.

Edgar looked at the older girl, and wondered if he could trust her. Finally, he said "I'll probably have to turn to thievery very soon. I don't know how you support yourself, but if we could work together to get money and food...we would do better than when we are alone."

Mau grinned. She lifted her coat up to show an entire quiver strapped to her back. Then, she showed something else, the hat full of coins that Mau had taken when nobody was looking. She held it up and tossed it back, the pieces flying.
