@bunnyshadow @hedwig68 Well, the new riders are getting situated in the riders' city. We could introduce them when the teachers come back to give formal introductions and announce the schedule to everybody.

The amused expression evaporated at once from Ceren's face as Sylvia spoke about the Forsworn. His eyes tightened, incredulous, as he leaned forward. "The new Forsworn?" he repeated to Kvaya, though she had certainly heard it as well. The silver dragoness was seething, raking the ground with her claws and baring her teeth. The new Forsworn, Ceren realized with an ever-deepening frown, had to have been responsible for the attack on the human city. With Sylvia here, it wasn't impossible for them to have followed them back. They would need a boat, he calculated, as the distance was much too far to fly. However, had they managed to obtain a boat, they could have tracked the voyage using magic. The young elf's heart sank.

With a sharp step forward, Ceren picked Sylvia up and slung her over his shoulder. He held her at the waist with one hand, and lifted his other shoulder so that Firan could climb on. He then strode over to Kvaya, completely unburdened by the weight of the human girl.

@bunnyshadow If this is too pp-y, I'll change it. ^^; I just figured she'd be too intoxicated to react, haha.

Firan got up and rested on Ceren's shoulder, "Did you here that? She said something about Kyle the elf, which I guess was that mean elf, being part of the new Forsworn and that she was dating the new fForsworn's leader." He thought toward him.

"I heard it all," Ceren confirmed mentally. Externally, he sighed. Kvaya lowered her head and neck so that it would be easier for him to place the girl upon her back. The elf offered her a halfhearted thanks as he placed his foot up against her side, preparing to transport her. "Eragon needs to hear about this immediately." Passing the authority, Ceren had decided, was an excellent way to avoid stating that he was unsure of what to do. They needed more information, first, and he doubted that he had the authority to perform a full investigation of her mind without first explaining himself. Kvaya agreed silently; she tended to brood when grave news presented itself, and spoke little.

Saria felt another mind and opened her's to find Firan yelling at her, "Yes what is it Firan?" She thought ergently.

Saria heard, "WHAT?!" She said through her mind and mouth.

Rynia jumped at Saria's scream.

@hedwig68 Do you mind changing "grammer" on the first post of the roleplay to "grammar?" The spelling error is giving me anxiety. ^^;
@bunnyshadow I don't know, man. XD You get yourself into these situations.

Ceren, without responding to Sylvia, swung her off his shoulder and placed her in the saddle. Before she would have had time to move, he strapped her legs in so that she would not fall if something were to go wrong. He normally reserved the straps for battles, where complex and often upside-down flight maneuvers were a possibility, and on long flights, where it was much safer to sleep when secured to the saddle. However, he found himself thankful that he had not traded the travel saddle for a more comfortable, leisurely one while they had stopped at the living quarters.

EDIT:
At the sound of a screech from Firan, Ceren sprinted over and grabbed Zaylia at her neck, prying the two young dragons apart. "Letta,*" he commanded, finding magic a much simpler alternative to talking her down. "Firan," he then said, offering his arm for the dragon to climb upon. "Are you hurt?"

Zaylia pushed Firan off of Ceren and pounced on top of him, biting his wings, and tearing some membrane. She hissed and bared her fangs in a low growl.

Zaylia seemed to have calmed down a bit, and jumped on Kvaya, then sat on top of Sylvia, which has passed out. (horrible grammar D😊 Zaylia spoke to Ceren. {Sylvia's imagining things again.}

"LETTA!*" the young elf roared, his voice going harsh for the first time in quite a long while. The last time he'd experienced such alarm, a young human rider had been at risk of falling from his dragon. The boy, not particularly skilled at magic, was a single gust of wind away from tumbling to his death. The spell was meant to completely immobilize the young dragon now, preventing her from moving.

Ceren examined Firan's wing, managing to look nearly neutral. "Try to hold still," he said to the little green dragon, holding his pale hand over the mangled wing. With a few murmured words of healing, the muscle and skin began to knit itself together. Dragons were somewhat more difficult to heal than humans or elves, as their scales posed a challenge to regrow. Still, after a few moments, the spell had repaired all damage to the dragon's wing. Ceren stared up at Kvaya, his eyes very nearly mourning. Even if the little dragon did not, she understood very well; had he not been there, Firan may never have been able to fly.

Ceren picked Firan up, holding him under his left arm as he swung upon Kvaya. After a final check that Sylvia was secured and Zaylia was present, he confirmed with Kvaya that she could take off.

The two riders and three dragons rose above the forest, gliding high upon the warm currents that came from the sea. Directing his eyes toward the city, Ceren contacted Saria with his mind. "Firan is all right," he stated immediately, "and he is here with me. Please tell Eragon that we have very urgent news to deliver. We will arrive in no more than one hour." Keeping his mind open so that she could contact him further, he leaned back in the saddle and gazed out at the trees. Flight was quite different when a human girl had collapsed in front of him and there were two hatchlings to watch. "Have you flown before?" he asked Firan, speaking mentally so that he would not lose his voice to the rushing wind.

Zaylia sat patiently on top of Sylvia and spoke to Ceren. {Hi.} she said tentatively.

Saria sent a understanding feeling, "Firan told me but I will get Eragon and Rynia she should know too." Saria got Eragon and Rynia and too them to another room.

Rynia followed.

Ceren's eyes flitted from the trees down to Zaylia as she spoke. With a tight sigh, the elf held her gaze for a moment longer, and then turned his head. The tight, ill-at-ease quality of his eyes somehow made him look far older than he normally appeared.

With a nod at Firan, Ceren replied, "That's quite good." He did not smile. "Thank you," he then added to Saria, and then resolved himself to silence throughout the rest of the flight.

"You're a young dragon," Ceren reminded him quickly, obscuring all other thoughts from his mind. The little dragon didn't need to know that he'd nearly lost his ability to fly--neither did his rider, the elf suddenly decided. He would not be the one to tell Saria.

Kvaya landed on an outcropping that led to the heart of the city. Ceren swung off cleanly, again holding Firan under his arm; with his free hand, he undid the straps holding Sylvia's legs, and swung her over his shoulder. "You may follow us," he said to Zaylia, "or you may go to rest." He communicated to her through a series of images the location of the living quarters before setting off to find Eragon and Rynia.

It was not a long walk to the wooden building, sung from the earth by the elves. It was not unlike Vrael's old abodes in Ellesmera, Ceren noted, as he seemed to do each time he passed it. After ascending the steep staircase, he opened the door with a simple spell and closed it in a similar manner. "Atra esterni ono thelduin," he greeted Eragon and the two elves, searching for a surface to place Sylvia upon.

Firan flew over to Saria, "Saria!" He yelled and jumped into her arms happily.

Rynia gave the replied greeting and waited for Ceren to tell his tale.

Eragon gave the replied greeting and looked at Ceren, "What must you tell us?"

Saria hugged Firan.

Ceren, after a moment's discrepancy, laid the human girl on what seemed to be Eragon's writing desk. It was clear of papers at the moment, and seemed a suitable choice. His eyes met Rynia's as he turned to face them again; he offered her a smile, but it was weak, and his eyes were weary. "The attack upon the city before we left," he began in the Ancient Language, "was orchestrated by a new group of riders calling themselves the Forsworn."
