Green sent a death glare his way then gently started to speak with his dragon. <<is he always this annoying?&gt;> she asked her, annoyed with him. She was thinking that he probably looked down on her like some of the other trainers who had dragons. If there was anything she hated, it was people who looked down on her. She had had enough of that in her life, what with people assuming that just because she didnt have a dragon she would be weaker than them.it wasnt that she couldnt get one, its that she was terrified of being in high places, so she never tryed. truth be told, she had beaten up any who thought like that, even if they were considered stronger than her. she trained often so she would remain strong. she might have a crush on the elf boy, but she still wanted to beat him up.

Kvaya, before taking off, turned her head to meet Green's eyes. Shining dully with tired amusement, she sarcastically remarked, "I have no idea what you are talking about." With that, she faced forward once more, the scales on her neck sliding with a sound like rushing water. The dragoness bounded forward once, twice, and then leaped into the air, unfurling her broad wings.

Ceren sat back in his saddle and sighed. The might of the sky and the miniscule figures of those below him typically served to remind him of the pettiness of his conflicts. However, even as they glided over the rippling green sea of trees and felt the cold sting of the wind, his mind remained cloudy. Sometimes, he said to Kvaya, it was difficult to be strong. Some days, staring into the face of eternity made his heart heavy.

The forest quickly thinned before giving way to the mountains, whose peaks rose like islands from an ocean of leaves. Farther on, the mountains rose until they stretched beyond reach of the eye and into the heavens. Even the dwarves of the Beor Mountains, Saphira once told him, would be quite impressed. The riders' city was hollowed into the heart of a well-guarded giant, framed by a wall of mountains on either side and extending into the forested valley below.

With a wave to the riders behind him, the young elf sat tightly as the silver dragon began her descent.
