Saria ran to the side of the boat and stared as an island came into view.

Eragon stood up, "Welcome to Du Fell Shulblaka."

Ceren, sensing someone approaching, looked over his shoulder. His eyes met the elf woman's just as her hand fell to his shoulder. He rose smoothly to his feet, his green and brown eyes suddenly glittering as if a light had been turned on behind them. Kvaya, out of view, rolled her eyes.

Elegantly, Ceren swept into a deep bow, curving an arm beneath his chest. "Atra esterni ono thelduin, un mor'ranr lifa unin hjarta onr,*" he greeted in the formal custom of the elves. It was a sign of respect and subservience to speak first. After allowing her time to respond, he continued in the Ancient Language. "Alas, I am not." This statement was coupled with a scrap of laughter and a well-intentioned smile. "I am to be the flight instructor to the trainees."

Kvaya shared a glance with Niamh. "How could she mistake us for trainees?" she asked privately, sounding more mystified than peeved. "I'm no hatchling."

Green hops off the boat into the freezing water and swims gracefully to the island with speed unmatched by any human. "Well?! what are you chumps waiting for?! get over here!" She yells. She was fully prepared to train them today, and she wanted to see how fast they could respond to orders.

Green suddenly pulls out some wooden swords. "try to keep the others off the island." She says. this was a test of not only her skills, but the others as well.

Ceren laughed in response to Eragon's welcome, looking over to Kvaya. She rose, stretching first her legs and then her wings. As she arched across the deck of the ship like a cat, Ceren nimbly climbed atop her back, seating himself comfortably in the saddle. Kvaya bounded across the deck, taking care so that her claws would not gouge holes in the wood. When they reached the edge of the boat, she gripped it with her back talons and then used it to push launch herself into the air. The boat rocked back and forth as the two flew away, climbing higher and higher with each stroke of the wings before plummeting down into the mountains, skimming low over the peaks. Ceren called out a hello to all the riders upon the surface, cupping his hands to his mouth. A few looked up and waved before dropping whatever they were doing and running to the docks. All the island's residents were excited to get a first look at the new group of riders.

Green scratched her head, looking around, before noticing what was missing. "HEY! flight instructor, hurry up and get over here!" She says demanding like she was used to. She crossed her arms, making a cute slightly peeved face.

Green sighed. "Go ahead and go.....those students are so slowwww this year. not you, of course." she says, rubbing her forehead. "Now i have to go find the flight instructior......" she grumbled to herself.

From out of the sky, Ceren descended next to Green, using a quick spell to slow his landing. He touched down firmly, with small clouds of dirt billowing out around his boots. "I do have a name, you know," he reminded her teasingly with a smirk.

Far up above, obscured by the clouds, Kvaya rolled her eyes.

Green ignored his good looks and wacked his arm. "You could have bothered to come make sure the trainees got here safely!" she said showing her easely set off temper. "Leaving me all by myself...what if one of the dragons drowned?!" She says peevishly at him.

Ceren shifted his arm so that her hand missed its target. Despite his keen elven reflexes, the muted smile that spread over his face was entirely human. "I should say the same," he responded, seeming entirely satisfied with arguing in front of the trainees. The teasing tone still lingered in his voice. "The new riders did not hop off the boat and swim; they waited until it reached the dock, and walked down the ramp and onto the land. They were in no danger. Besides that, you and I are not the only experienced individuals here. Eragon remained on the boat with the trainees. So did Andrew and Niamh, and several other dragons and riders. I assure you," he finished with an irritatingly calm smile, "nobody was in any danger."

He then turned to the crowd of young dragons and riders, dipping his head in a slight bow. "I am Ceren Shurtugal," he said, "and up above us is Kvaya Argetskular. We will be your flight instructors."

Green kicked his leg. "Its the thought that matters!" She yells ignoring rynia. She flushed from embarrasment at his point and kicks him again. She knew she was acting childish, but didnt care.

Andrew jumped off the boat and nimbly landed on his feet, gently proclaiming to everyone in the Acient Language in the tongue of mind; <<And Niamh and I will be your teachers of the... well, mind!>> He gently laid a hand on Niamh's neck when she descended beside him, her scales glittering extra brightly in the southern sun.

Ceren glanced over at the last minute and jumped out of the way of Rynia's fierce kick. Her second attack was easier to predict, and he sidestepped it calmly. "I'm starting to rethink this," he said mentally to Kvaya, his eyes dancing skyward for a moment. He was met with an agreeing sentiment and an assurance that she'd be down in time to assign the new dragons and riders their living quarters.

As he tilted his head to examine Green's face, his eyes fell past her and onto Rynia. A dazzling smile spread over his face, completely uninhibited. "Hello!" his expression said, though he did not currently have time to engage her in conversation. "It's good to see you again!" The two of them had met in their time at Du Fells Skulblaka, and though they were not particularly well acquainted, Ceren had taken a liking to her. Since they were both instructors now, they'd be spending a lot of time together, which he could certainly look forward to. He could sense Kvaya's sighing as these thoughts passed through his head, and it became difficult not to laugh.

Ceren nodded in confirmation as each of the other instructors introduced themselves.

Sylvia walked through the supply grounds, stealing some flasks of Faelnirv. These days have been hard for Sylvia and she needed something to keep her mind off of things.

Kyle listened intently, improving upon the strategies when needed.
