Frost hid a smirk. She knew that Margot would give in. " I call first watch," she repeated. Even though they couldn't trust Fang, at least he can fight, which seemed far more than that chubby boy could do. To answer Fang's question, she said, "In there." pointing to the place where they had ran out of in the first place. As Margot switched her gloves off, Frost changed her weapon into a bow again. It didn't seem that her clip could turn into a gun. To avoid being questioned, she said, "I need self-defense." Then she turned to the chubby boy. He didn't seem like much, but she wouldn't underestimate anyone. "Two rooms or one big room for everyone?" she asked.

Sylvia thought for a while and tapped her forefinger on the hilt of her sword. "Nope. Back are planet, we only had war stories.", she said with a devilish smile. "so, tell me already.", she demanded.
-
Fang stood there with an dark attitude, for some strange reason. "I don't mind.", he said.

Frost tried not to roll her eyes. I was asking Margot, she thought, not you! "The less you-nevermind." She decided not to tell him to shut up because he might go psycho, like he did to that guy. "Let's just go up," she said instead.

"It's nightfall."

Ray was distracted. "Sorry, back at what planet?" He did have a habit of spacing out, but that was just strange... Planets? He hadn't really been keen on astronomy. Was Pluto even a planet?

"Alright.", Fang said distractedly. He waited for someone to lead the way.

@bunnyshadow He doesn't have any X3

"Ummm. What, you're trying to tell me you're some kind of alien?" he laughed at the ridiculous notion. His "parents" hadn't liked him reading any unrealistic fiction, and while they knew that life outside of Earth very likely existed, of course it would be very different from their own, and the chances of finding any were so ridiculously small that a singe-celled organism would be like trying to find a dust mote in the ocean, using a sieve.

Ray shrugged. "Robots, mutants, aliens, I don't care what they are. But you definitely look human," he assured her. "Yeah. Are you going to leave already?" he inquired humorously, not sure whether he wanted her gone or not.

This was what Ray was thinking; ._. Yup, ruling the world has definitely messed with these people's heads.
"Whatever," he replied, slightly amused. He wasn't about to try and explain about how he was an atheist. "I'm going to go get some sleep," he pretended to yawn and looked down so it appeared his eyes were shut. Ray truly wasn't sleepy at all, but he didn't feel much like talking, and he was getting that itch to do something, and he knew it wasn't a particularly good idea to have people around to witness it; like when his parents had destroyed his computer.

"Oh. Alright.", Sylvia said quietly. Unlike Ray, she was sleepy, and tired. She closed her eyes and leaned back on the bars of the cell. Before long, she dozed off and fell asleep.

With her eyes closed, she looked a lot less evil and a lot more innocent. A slight smile was set upon her face.

Getting up to make sure she was asleep, Ray paused at the expression on her face. No matter what anyone said about Loki... Sylvia was a good kid. Although that didn't mean anything; even if her rule was better, he would likely be pretty old by the time Loki croaked. So it wouldn't make a fig of a difference to him.
He sat back down and took out an assortment of materials from his pockets. They ranged from scrap bits of metal and bolts to fuses and wire to rubber and pretty much anything else. And then some more.. Interesting things he'd liberated from the factories.
Then he felt something else inside the pocket of the leather jacket he'd nicked. A ballpoint pen. Swiftly he dissembled it and looked at all the pieces. In some kind of daze, Ray started playing around with them, not knowing what he was making... Weird. That looked like a dog. ... Why would he need a pair of hedgeclippers...? Though it was tempting to try them out on her hair. ... A metal bouncy ball? That HAD to hurt. ... Finally, he held up what looked like the fingers of a metal glove. He hadn't actually worked in the factories "hammering breastplates", of course (well... Only a week). He'd been to nearly every station in at least five different ones. Recently, he'd even been working with Margot on electrical interfaces for hovercrafts, before he got bored of that too and was downgraded to easy stuff again. Anywho...
He examined his new invention carefully, and tried them on.

Ray had a pretty good hunch on what these could do. The question was... Was this what he wanted? Did he really want to leave? Where would he go? How would Sylvia feel if she woke up and he was gone? Angry? Sad? Hurt? Betrayed? Nothing at all? Then again, if they had been friends, why would she keep him in a cage? Because she thought he'd run away? Then she didn't trust him, and they weren't friends. He doubted she'd ever trusted anyone before. Anyone HEALTHY at least. And he wasn't helping.
But he needed fresh air, he argued, trying to ignore the stupid guilty feeling. And she needed to learn that. At the very least, he'd just get some coffee... And maybe there were a few other things he wanted to check on... It wouldn't take long, he decided.
Getting some special rubber and stretching it, he padded the bars damaged from Sylvia's earlier slash, so they'd make no noise when he, well...
Ray stood back, rolled his shoulders once, and punched the bars. However good a hit Ray was, the glove-fingers increased this ten-fold. Maybe more. The bars bent. Satasfied, he stashed away the rubber again and took his leave.

Sylvia heard a slight shuffling sound coming from inside the cell, and opened her eyes just in time to see Ray bending the bars and sneaking outside. She watched through her bangs and stared at his back as he walked outside.

She thought about getting up and stopping him, maybe even hurting Ray if she had to. Never-the-less, she stayed where she sat. There were chitauri and other troops outside and scattered about, and they qould take care of the boy.

Sylvia just hoped he didn't get his hands on anything sugary.

Chitauri were pretty stupid. Throw a rock a distance, it bangs off wall, Chitauri obediently investigate, and presto, another barrier easily overcome by your truly. 'Now,' Ray thought, looking about him. 'If I could just find a map...'
Wishful thinking, of course. Luck seemed to be with him though, because after a few minutes of random guesses and walking, he found himself in an area of the run down town he recognized. Ray paused. Now that he was here, he realized he didn't have the first clue how he would find them. They'd been planning on running away... So they were probably long gone, right? out of town by now... He hoped. He'd wanted to apologize for earlier, which he felt bad about, but as long as they were alright... He'd have a look around, visit where he needed to, go back to the rich place, get some coffee, then return to his nice though not exactly private cell. Sounded much too busy a night for it to sound good, but the coffee bit sounded excellent, so who was he to complain? Besides, there were some things that even he recognized as important.

Fang waited patiently for Margot to finish talking to the boy. It was really beginning to get dark outside. He could barely see his hand in front of his face, much less most of the other people. He started to look around, once again, and waited for his eyes to adjust to the darkness. He rubbed the back of his head thoughtfully.

Why had he came back? Ray wondered, staring at the empty shell of his old home- or rather, place where he'd used to live. Now, it was abandoned. It had been driving him crazy with worry, not knowing what had happened to his friends, but this just made it worse. Now, he knew he didn't want to know.
And, of course, he couldn't find anyone else. The streets were really quite dark now... Stupid. Maybe he'd just try and find his way back to the rich district, or maybe just an empty building... He wouldn't stay here again, though.
At least the trip hadn't been completely worthless. He'd got some valuable supplies from the factories on the way... While he walked, his free hand absently fiddled with his little invention, rearranging components to better suit his needs with the new parts as if it had a mind of it's own. Ray glanced around, then stopped, thinking he'd heard voices.
He abruptly finished messing with his now about 2/3-glove with a quiet -click-, and edged forward silently.

Aaron shrunk even shorter out of fear when Margot came over to ask him a question. His wide white eyes, big as plates, stared back at her.
With an extremely tiny and barely visible nod, he accepted her offer.
His high-pitched voice stabbed the veil of silence in the night and his awkward scuttle only solidified his question;
"Loo?"

Sylvia soon dozed off again, but when she woke up, Ray was still missing from his cage. She heaved a large sigh and walked out of the prison, brushing dust and dirt from her clothing. When she stepped outside, she turned to the nearest chitauri. "Your missing a prisoner.", she said. "You should go find him."

The chitauri turned around quickly and walked into the prison. It came back a few seconds later and said "I'm sorry my lady. I will go and find him now.". With that, he gathered a small group of his kind and started at a quick pace throughout the city.

Frost was getting seriously irrated. The conversation with the chubby guy was taking too long. Are we done yet? she thought. She closed her eyes for a minute. Night was rapidly approaching, and she kind of..liked it. She opened them again, her eyes adjusting to the gloom.

Margot's eyebrows knit together in confusion. The boy seemed to be making a request, but she couldn't tell exactly what it was. Suddenly, the unfamiliar term clicked, and recognition flashed across her face as her mouth formed an "oh." "These buildings are dead," she explained with obvious tedium. "They've got bathrooms but no running water. You're better off finding yourself a quiet alley or a bush or something." With a halfhearted wave of her hand, she indicated a narrow alleyway with a large dumpster. "I'll wait for you," she added. The gesture was gracious, but her expression was marked by weary impatience.

The sun had all but set now, shrouding the decaying city with thick shadows. Margot searched the faces of Frost, Fang and Aizel. Both Frost and Fang were behaving with agitation, fidgeting considerably; Margot guessed they wanted to head inside. After another brief glance around the street, she let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "You all can head in," she said, glancing toward the door. "See if you can find a two-room apartment," she added in Frost's direction. The way Margot had it figured, the girls could sleep in one room, the boys in the other, and whoever was on watch could have the living room couch. It would also be nice to find a kitchen with a working gas stove, but she had plenty of time to snoop around the building later.

Margot's eyes adjusted well to the familiar twilight. The combination of the fighting and the late afternoon had brought on a wave of drowsiness that was now beginning to dissipate; it was at about this time that she would normally begin preparation for the night's adventures. She felt alert, though profoundly calm, as the bodies of dead cars and chunks of concrete sharpened to her eyes.

Fang walked into an building that was burnt on the outside. The inside was dirty and after kicking down a few doors he got to an two-room apartment. He poked around and walked into the bathroom, wondering if there was any running water. Fang pulled up the handle of the sink, and as he did, a slight trickle of water flowed from the faucet.

He cupped his hands and waited for them to fill with water, then used it to wash his face.

The harsh sounds of an argument reached him. It sounded like a fight. Determining the best course of action being avoiding all possible contact with humans and Chitauri alike, especially the violent ones, Ray swiftly altered his path and headed for the less-factorified, and also more unfamiliar, part of town, with the tall buildings. Really, no one should be up at this time... he frowned.
His hand twitched. Maybe his invention needed a few final adjustments... Distracted, Ray tripped over some empty tin can someone had carelessly discarded. Muffling a curse, he pulled himself up, only to find himself instantly grateful; it had prevented him from waltzing into a street that wasn't exactly as empty as he'd have liked. He just hoped he hadn't been heard.

Margot let out a soft sigh as she watched Fang trudge away. Nights in the deep city were so quiet compared to the factory housing. Even past curfew, when each and every soul was quiet to avoid the termination of what little privacy they had, the district was loud with the hum of power lines and the metallic shuffle of Chitauri patrols. Where she stood, Margot could clearly hear herself breathe; each lungful of air hissed lowly in and out her nostrils. Then, suddenly, the silence was ruptured by a series of tinkling clangs, like the ringing of an ugly tin bell. Margot's head whipped to the side as her eyes sought out the source of the noise. Her fingers nimbly flew to switch on her electric gloves. They hummed to life, a noise she could distinctly identify at its inception but that rapidly faded to white noise.

She found a can spinning in the middle of the road at the end of the block, right in the middle of the intersection between her road and the next. Margot's eyebrows sunk determinedly over her eyes as she drew a rapid series of conclusions. Someone or something had produced that disruption, and even if it did end up being a stray breeze, it was her obligation to investigate. Better safe than sorry, her father always said.

"Show yourself," Margot ordered. She spoke without raising her voice, though the simple statement carried far. The street before her seemed heavy and dull, like an anesthetized patient living deep within its subconscious until it was reawakened.

Fang tilted his head to the side and turned off the faucet. As he walked back to the previous room and out into the dirty hallway. Through a shattered window, he saw a tin can swerve into a stop and Margot quickly turning on her electric gloves. Out of the corner of his eyes, Fang looked around, to make sure Frost or any other member of the small group wasn't looking at him.

Then, his form shimmered slightly and he slipped though the black wall. First, he put his hand through, then the rest of his body. A cold feeling overcame in, but in a few seconds, he was through and in the alleyway near Margot. Fang stepped out and examined the end of the street for anything.

Ray, who had sunk deep into the shadows as the footsteps had approached, flinched at the command, before he realized how familiar that tone sounded. Not believing his luck, he stepped out into the open with a smile. "Oh, hello again, Margot! Fancy meeting you here," he continued, as if their last meeting had never happened, and they weren't completely breaking curfew. He glanced around. "You didn't get very far, did you?" he remarked, referring to the plans she'd made with Frost of running away, a whole day ago. Or had it been two? Or three? He wasn't sure. Time passed differently in a little cell. Or maybe it just passed differently when he had had coffee.

As Ray stepped into view, Fang silently walked up behind him. "Hey," he whispered into Ray's ear with a smile that showed 2 of his upper teeth that were pointed like fangs. His blood red eyes were narrowed slightly, and the moonlight made his hair glint an deep red tint.

He moved his gaze down, and saw that there were still leftovers of Lake's body littered around. The crows beaks contained flesh and sometimes an occasional bone.
