Oh, well. Margot playing the hero? In that case, Ray hoped that Wonderboy was good with heights.
Then again... Her saying her team was the safest place, and with the added assurance of having a healer on board... Seemed from that perspective like Margot was playing pretty safe. Ray smirked a little at that idea.
"Oh Margey~," he hummed, and knowing it was time, conjured his two newest creations out of his pocket. "Stripes! Catch!" he chucked them both one each. "Do take care not to get them punched by a Chitauri; something's got to give way, and it's going to be your pretty faces," Ray warned, amused.
What were they? Communicator sets thingies. Like the things from those old movies which people wore to talk to people; instead of cellphones or walkie-talkies, these were better as they left the hands free. But with them being made of what they were, and the microphone being held by the mouth by that bit of metal, it would be extremely painful if they got hit in the face. Well, at least they would outlast their owners~.
They also had the time, so they had to be useful for SOMETHING.

"Fine by me." Fang said to Aykay once he had regained his composure. "Scouting..." Fang muttered. "Do I have permission to steal and break things?" He asked Margot, out of the blue.
-
Angel bit her bottom lip as she listened quietly and intently to the conversation. "When are we leaving?" She asked quietly as she watched Ray throw communicators at the supposed leaders.

"Sure," Frost said. She wasn't sure why Margot was bossing, and Fang's freak out was CREEPY, but she was cool with it. To Aaron, she said, "I'm just here with my little weapon, and making sure no one tries to prevent me from my goals. Name's Frost, you can decide if its real or not." she said, halfheartedly. She wondered if she could sneak off once in a while. It would be fun, she thought, with a mischievous smirk.

Aykay looked it over. A communications device? It would definately come in handy, but why give it to her? Oh right... she was team captain... She attached it and looked over at the goofy one.

"Thank you." She said. "Ummm... I didn't catch your name..."

-Classy.- the voice laughed.

Ray gave Aykay a warm smile in return for the thanks, then hesitated, about to respond to her question. His name... "Wilson. Rayner Lee Wilson," he answered with his alias, the name he'd gone by the ever since he'd left home. It was funny actually, the whole time Margot had always referred to him by his nickname.
Turning back to Aizel and Angel, he answered the latter's query. "Ready? We'll take it slow at first, I suppose, conserve our energy for the Chitauri. (Though, if we could fit in a coffee break...) Oh! I know what we need; a team name! I guess we can think of one as we walk," he nodded with a smile like he was trying to either irritate them or make them laugh, and couldn't decide. This was fun! "Run. Slowish... Jog," Ray then corrected himself absently. "Anyhoww... Let's go!" he stuck his hands in his pockets and set off at a brisk pace, (and surprising himself by going in the right direction).

Aykay watched Ray yake off. What an odd guy...

She snapped out of it, remembering her leading position. She transformed into her tiger form. Thankfully, her communication device somehow still fit in this form, although she knew that speaking into it would be no good. She could still listen.

She growled at the others to follow her, taking care to not sound angry (so difficult as a tiger) and began running towards the tunnel entrance.

@asi @bunnyshadow @silver_winged @dada_dragon @leafpelt Hiya! 😃 You back! *le huggle*

Having been sitting cross-legged under her shady willow throughout Margot's ordering speech, Aizel jolted up at the mentioning of her name. She nodded flatly in Madge's direction, not sparing any time to whine or observe the others' reactions. Taking her place near Ray, she pulled out both the Chitauri revolvers from her shirt and gripped them tightly, readying herself for battle. She grinned widely at the runner boy, reloading her guns in the mean time.
"Heck yeh, this'll be fun! Let's go kick some Chitauri a**!" she roared excitedly, eyes flickering with adrenaline.

With a sarcastic glance at the microphones, she raised an eyebrow. They didn't seem like much, despite being metal, but even so, she doubted anyone could get hurt by them when punched in the face. If anything, the punch itself would ruin Margot and Aykay''s pretty faces.

Snapping out of absentminded thoughts, Aizel drew her attention to Ray and his endless chatter. She let out a light squeak at the idea of a team name. Strangely how childish she could act at the most crucial times. Taking off after Ray, Aizel weighted down every possibility of names for their team. 'Hrm... Distraction crew... Nah, too plain. Or maybe... The Wild Bunch... Tsk, frigging cheesy.' she quietly mumbled to herself, struggling to keep up with Ray. The boy was darn fast.

"Uhhh... Thanks," She tossed him the knife too. Pyra shifted around for a bit, listening and watching. The plan sounded pretty good, she could set the floors on fire, but, "Wait, remind me why we're going into Stark Tower in the first place, will you?"

Aykay turned back to see that the others hadn't moved yet. Maybe she was too eager. She walked back at let out an impatient roar.

-You are right though. You should probably get going pretty soon. It'll be dark in a couple hours and you'll want to get to your shelter for the night rather than being out in the open.- suggested the voice.

She had to agree. Her shelter was the safest place in the whole forest, as far as she knew. They could get some food and sleep there...

She roared again, trying to get her point across.

Pyra's head snapped towards the roar. It was the tiger.
"What?" She almost snarled, but wasn't that irritated. Couldn't she find a way to get attention without making a huge ruckus. Then, she thought about it, okay so she probably wanted them to follow. She walked over, next to the big furry body. "Can't you just speak? There's no reason to be, that, now."

Aykay looked up at her and rolled her tiger eyes. Of course she couldn't talk. She was a tiger. It would be a pain to transform every time she needed to talk, so they would all just have to get used to the way she communicated. She would transform back when they got there.

It was faster to travel as a tiger, and they were burning daylight. They needed to get to her shelter quickly.

She roared at Fang and what was the other girl's name? Ice? No... Frost. They needed to get moving.

Frost nearly snarled back a reply to Fang's bossiness. He was so freaking ANNOYING. To herself, she thought, Oh, just shut the h-e double l up. Taking out her weapon of choice, she said coolly to Akyay," I'm fine with kicking butt. So, what are still doing here?" She hoped the others were ready.

Aykay nodded and began running out into the trees. She enjoyed the feeling of her paws hitting the forest floor. She didn't have to think. She knew the way. She'd traveled there thousands of times.

She hoped the others were keeping up. She didn't want to turn around in case she ran into a tree or something. She would take a break when they got to the stream that marked the halfway point between where she met with the others and her shelter.

Pyra dashed after her. They were going into the woods? What? She shook it off. She'd figure it out later. Her shoes hit the soft ground, not making much noise. She realized she had left the traps back where they had come from. Oh fuzz. She tried to push that out of her mind as well. Traps would be better for defense, not offense anyway.

Aykay reached the stream and turned around. The others had kept up. Good.

She transformed back to her human form and waited for the others to catch up.

"The shelter is not too far from here. We can get some of the food I have hidden there and then rest a bit before we move in to the Tower." she said. "Is there anything you guys wanna ask me before I go back to tiger?" she asked.

"Margey?" she questioned with raised eyebrows. It wasn't worth pursuing, but she had no idea where Ray found the gall to call her something like that. She caught the communicator with both hands and fixed it around her ear. "Understood," she replied to Ray, rubbing the metal bar that attached the microphone to the earpiece. Before she knew it, both groups had dashed off.

"Tell me when you're both about to move in," she spoke into the microphone at a normal volume. Hopefully the sensitivity on those devices wasn't off. She was answered with a blast of noise from the earpiece that caused her to cringe. It sounded like a tiger roar. Margot let out a frustrated sigh before turning to glance at Aaron. The kid was probably just as hungry as she was, and now was as good a time as any to take a short break.

Margot approached the building they'd been standing near and climbed in one of the blown out windows. After tiptoeing around debris and forcing open a few doors, she found an apartment with a kitchen intact. A minute or two later, she climbed back out the window with a few cans in her arms. "Let's make this fast. You get first pick--chicken soup, tuna, fruit cocktail, or pinto beans."

Aykay decided to let the other groups know her position while she was still in her human form.

"I'm about halfway between our starting position and the tunnel entrance." she said. "How about you two?"

She stretched out her human limbs. Her tiger body could take the strain of that run, but when that transferred over to her human body, it was brutal...

Pyra continued running, and slowed as tiger-girl stopped by the stream. She stopped by the water, and jumped onto the lowest branch of a tree. She stood close to the trunk, and then sat back on a higher branch behind her. She wasn't much of a tree climber, but they seemed safer.
"What shelter?" She asked. She was really confused now.

"The shelter I found while running from the... from the prison." she said, fighting back the flashbacks. "That's where the tunnel entrance is. It's also where I store my food, so we can get our energy up before we go."

She pointed past the stream.

"It's in that direction over the hill you can kind of see there in the distance. It's a bit of a hike, so be prepared for an uphill climb. Also, it's a bit steep, so if anyone has any difficulty climbing, let me know."

Aaron watched Ray and Margot talk, with an unreadable expression. When Margot finished explaining her side, Aaron's shoulders were hunched up and he awkwardly kicked the ground. She just called him fat in front of him. 'Kid can't run' basically means 'Kid's too fat to run'. He wanted to yell at them, 'I'm not deaf!' but what would they do? Nothing. Exactly. He sighed, and looked at Aykay. Oh goody, something's happening! He smiled, as she was noticeably uncomfortable with the postion of leader but filled it well. His eyes strayed over the rest of the group and locked on Aizel. Quickly catching himself, he looked away and his stomach nearly flipped. The bloody vampire Eskimo was just filling his stomach, and Aaron's appetite was gone instantly. When a girl introduced herself as Frost, he smiled meekly at her.

When the groups disappeared off, and Margot to a kitchen for a quick break, he was deserted. "Whoa! That was fast.." he commented, mainly to a random purple flower. "Well, it's a good thing, right?" The flower wavered in the wind a bit. "Err... ok." He quickly looked up to see what Margot was naming off. "Oh! Um, fruit cocktail, if you please."

"Oh, okay." A the small bit of irritation that somehow a tiger living in the woods had escaped her, was gone. She scooted down to the lower branch and leaned against the one she had been on. Her feet dangled and scuffed a plant.
"I have no problem with climbing." Pyra replied. She hopped, or fell, down onto the ground.

Aykay nodded. She was beginning to get a sense of her companions' personalities. Frost seemed dependable enough. Pyra at first had seemed a bit distant, but she seemed to be warming up to Aykay a little more.

As for Fang, she had no read on him thus far. He was far beyond her ability to immediately comprehend.

She transformed back and ran towards the hill.

"I think I'll be fine with climbing too, but.." Frost trailed off as she wondered. Heavy-hitting? she thought. Did it mean just shooting every bad dude? Out loud, she said, keeping her voice low, "So, let's see. Fang and Pyra are distracting, Akyay is our guide, and I wreck up every bad dude in the place. Right?"

"Not quite." Pyra said. Fang was scout, and she was the burner, but she didn't feel like explaining it, someone else would. She ran after tiger-girl, and jumped the small stream. It wasn't that big. She looked up at the hill. She hadn't been around here much, maybe close by, but not here. Good thing. If there had been a tunnel from the tower, which she still didn't know why they were trying to claim, well, she wouldn't want to be around.
Why were they trying to get into it? Wouldn't that make someone pay attention to them? It had better be a good reason, because if it was stupid, she would ditch the group right then and there. Okay, maybe not, but she would NOT be happy.

Aykay had run up this hill a hundred times. In the beginning, she had assumed it would get easier every time.

No such luck.

She panted with the effort. This would have been nearly impossible as a human. Her human body was weak, mostly due to being kept in the prison so long... She had more or less neglected her physical strength during that time and since...

She reached the top and lay there, waiting for the others.

Elated by Aizel's positive response, Ray raced ahead; an easy lope, little excretion for him, and he didn't notice the others' difficulty.
He was distracted by the sound of a bird chirping. Ray knew that call. It reminded him of... Home.

"Sunny... Sunny! Sunshine, where are you?"
Jolted from his daze, little Rayner looked up from his task. "Here, Ma!" he called back happily, letting a screwdriver fall from one chubby hand.
"Oh!" she appeared at the doorway. "Ray, there are the most beautiful birds outside; won't you come look?" her eyes chanced on project in front of him. "But what's this?"
"I'm building a computer!" Ray declared proudly. "Look, I just installed the memory!"
She stared at him, shocked.
"Ma, I want to be like Mr. Stark when I grow up," he told her, looking up with bright blue eyes. "Can I?"
"No!" She gasped, and shook her head. "No, Rayner, you can't!" she knelt and snatched up his computer-to-be. "Never say that; promise me, Ray, you'll never say that again."
"M-mom?" Little Ray didn't understand.
She stood, her hands clenched on the unfinished computer so hard that the knuckles went white on her tanned skin. "Sunshine. That man was a traitor, an enemy of the emperor, scum. We live to serve Loki. Don't forget it, Ray..."

Ray blinked slowly, and looked back to see the others, struggling. His expression softened and he fell back, now even with Aizel. "Let me know if you want to slow down, or take a break, okay?" he told his team gently. "There's no hurry."

Aykay looked out at the horizon. She could just barely see Stark Tower over the trees. She closed her eyes. She had to at least pretend she wasn't terrified...

-You'd better hope SHE isn't in there.- said the voice, oddly hostile. -she'll destroy you.-

Aykay cringed. The voice was right... What was she doing?

For the first time since Angel had joined up with this group of rebels, she chanced upon using her powers. When Ray turned back back to ask the team if they wanted to slow down or take a break, she stared into his blue eyes. Angel's eyes turned into a deeper, darker color, before a memory flashed before her eyes.

A little boy seemed to have been building something, and was holding a screw driver. A women appeared in the doorway, and she and the boy began speaking.

Angel blinked, and Ray's memory disappeared. The boy's family seemed to have supported the emperor, but what he was doing here, she did not know. Was he really a traitor?

She shook her head, as she mulled over the options.
