Frost was quiet for a moment as Aykay reported what they were up to. She took the transmitter back. Then she muttered, half to herself, half talking to everyone.

"Since we aren't going up anymore because it's not logical, and I doubt leaving NOW is going to work well....but Margot and Aaron are dragging Stark out....so should we meet up with them?
But then...Sylvia might pop out in front of us like some magician, and we all be ambushed...chances of that are pretty high...."

She really could use a break from sitting around so much. Besides, that facepalm/headdesk thing was starting to get a little contagious, if that was even possible...

In a more directed voice, she repeated, "So...stay here, of get out? Do we need to put it to a vote?" She added that last part with a hint of mocking. She was truly sick of asking that question so many times. Now that she couldn't feel any effects of her wound thanks to Zoe's balm, she started pacing around, her limping minimized.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Jake heard Zoe talk as if she was in some safe haven and sighed. He barely had heard any of the conversation, and he doubted that Zoe had paid attention. He searched his pack.
"Well...I've got clothes, some food and a first aid kit." He added after he went to the bottom, "And...I've got this experimental bomb/distractor. He took out a bag, and opened it. Inside were labeled vials, a couple of old grenade shells(he couldn't remember how he got those), and other various scraps and bits. He took out a small wrapped ball, labeled SMOKE in pen.
He took it out and observed it. Finally, he said to everyone in the room, "So...how about a smoke bomb that may not work?" He cringed when his voice sounded almost squeaky in a sense, going higher from embarrassment and nervousness.
~~~~~
Zoe looked up at the sound of a really nervous Jake. She quickly put the jar back and walked over to him, careful to not accidently kick anybody else. " Calm down," she murmured teasingly. She saw Frost roll her eyes and she tried to ignore it.

Aykay decided that she didn't care anymore what they did. If they kept arguing, nothing would get done at all, so if she stayed out of it, they were bound to come to a solution faster. Anything was better than waiting around for the machines to show up.

She instead diverted her attention to the empty cells. Surely there was something of use in there.

She remembered another prisoner in a cell near hers calling the lower levels "a human zoo". It certainly smelled like it.

He told her that he'd heard that the people on that level were often sold as slaves to the aristocratic humans who had allied themselves to Loki. He'd dismissed it as a mere rumor, but Aykay knew for a fact that it was true.

She found a few thin blankets and a ripped sweater, as well as another tray of food, which she promptly devoured, recalling the others' unfavorable reaction to the other tray.

She grabbed the blankets and sweater in her teeth (trying not to imagine what the awful taste of them might be) and brought them over to the others, dropping them at their feet.

Name: Moth
Gender: Unknown
Age: Adult?
Power: Living tracking device
Side: Loki
Appearance: Pitch black wings, with a lighter, ash colored body. Deep green dots line it's sharp wings. It's legs and antennae are gold.
Personality: Like a moth.
History: Daddy and Mommy moth made a baby moth and named it 'Moth'. They lived in Loki's throne room. One day, while Sylvia and Loki were eating dinner, they spotted the three moths up on one of his golden walls. Thinking they were spiders, Sylvia shrieked, picked up a steak knife, and threw it at the moth family. She missed Daddy moth by more than necessary, and created a deep scratch in the throne room's gold wall. The chitauri and the servants that were in the throne room began laughing, so Sylvia killed them, effectively getting the room even more dirty and scratched and blood stained. Loki walked over to the wall and coaxed the moths to fly into his palm. After that day, he began training the moths to track people, just to annoy Sylvia. The end.
Other: Aizel nicknamed Moth, Mr. Wonderful.

@bunnyshadow @skylark Feel like I owe everybody a Stark post.
-

Stark trailed a few feet back from the girl, listening carefully for footsteps. He was perfectly happy to let her check every door in the hallway they passed by; if somebody was hiding in wait for all of them, they'd blow her to pieces and give him time to get away. His left shoulder began to itch, and he swiped at it roughly a few times.

For the first time in years, his view was unimpaired by a set of iron bars. He could walk as long and far as he wanted. He was free from supervision by alien monstrosities, free to be around other humans. Free to be around women--imprisonment or not, this nightmare had been a record dry spell. He just had to get outside first.

"This one," he instructed, and waved the girl over to the service elevator. She punched at the button and stared fiercely down the hallway until the doors of the elevator slid open silently. The three of them gathered in, and Stark held his finger on the door close button until they were safely traveling down the shaft. He let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding.

Moth climbed onto Stark's neck, it's tiny feet lightly steeping onto his skin. It stopped over one of his major arteries, before continuing on it's way up. Moth came to a stop on top of the man's head, it's black and green body standing out from Stark's brown hair. It opened it's wings then flew over to Margot, where it planted itself onto her shoulder. Moth's antennae twitched, as if waiting for something to happen.

Walking over, Zoe took the blankets from the tiger-girl and lay it on top of the unconscious girl. She had felt her pulse and warmth and she was unnaturally cold. "Umm..could anyone start a fire?" she asked softly. Then, she asked, "Alexis, could you introduce Jake and me to the others?" She winced as she realized her mistake. "Oh, sorry." She blushed. "I never use your nickname...."

~~~
Frost tried not to react to that name. Ignoring that part, she took out her clip, transformed it to a javelin and pointed to each person. "Aizel. Aykay. Pyra. Ray." Putting it back, she paused, thinking if she was missing anyone. Then it hit her. "Where's Angel?" She added sarcastically, "Though that name fits her sooo much."
If they were going to wait for the others, Aykay figured she might as well rest. She hadn't slept in days. Even before she'd met the others, she hadn't been able to rest. The machines were everywhere, and hiding from them was nearly impossible.
She stretched out on the floor and put her head on her front paws, closing her eyes. She knew if there was trouble, the others would wake her.
She slowly drifted off, her lack of sleep catching up with her.
Ray had been looking appreciatively at the guy with the smoke bomb. Instantly he felt a lot more comfortable with Smokey than anyone else in this lousy Chitauri-ridden tower.
"Alexis!" he snapped his fingers and smiled, a thoroughly Ray-type smile. "I knew there was a reason I could never remember your name, Dewdrops! It makes perfect sense," he nodded, pleased with himself for finally working it out, although it really didn't make any sense... (Asi: Or at least, it doesn't for me! ;_; )
"Oh, that chick?" Ray said once 'Alexis' was done naming everyone. "She was a snitch," he told her shortly, along with a 'you win some, you lose some' smile. "Ran away once she knew I knew- with some bulletproof, pink-haired eight year old super-girl.... Or something," he finished carelessly, before sparing the snoozing Tigress a rather annoyed look. "Well, looks as though we aren't going anywhere," he hummed.
Frost shot an arrow above Ray's head. "Shut up," she said irritably. "No one ever calls me that, and I don't plan on being called that. And Dewdrops....really?" Exasperated she started walking toward the path upwards again.
"Could be better, could be worse," she muttered to herself. Angel leaving with someone...a spy...The thoughts swirled around her head. With that, she announced, " You can stay here if you want. I'M going up." With that, she limped slightly up the stairs again. She was not going to listen to anyone anytime soon.
Aykay had always dreamed about the times when she'd seen others being pulled from their cells. There was never any warning and they never knew who was next.
And those who were taken didn't return.
It was part of the torture they endured, knowing that when that door slammed open and ten or so machines came in, there would be a selection made, and it could very well be them.
It was the same dream as always. The door slammed open and they came in. She looked around to see who else was waiting on a selection and her breath caught. It was the others.
Moth scurried up Margot's neck. It hid under her frizzy hair, camouflaging almost instantly. Moth scooted up until it was sitting on top of her scalp, before scrunching itself up. Now with it's wings flattened against Margot's scalp, it was virtually unnoticeable. The only thing that could have given the insect away was it's bright antennae.
Margot kept her eyes fixed on the roof hatch of the elevator. If anything was going to come at them by surprise, it was going to have to come from up there. Of course someone could call the elevator from a different floor and it would have to stop, but they would be warned when the elevator slowed down.
Her scalp began to prickle and itch, so she reached up to scratch it. She was in desperate need of a bath and a comb; her hair was so tangled that she could barely get through it. However, when her fingers came in contact with something that wasn't scalp or hair, she frowned slightly and pulled it out. The foreign object was a live moth.
Margot let out a high scream, promptly letting go of the creature. She wasn't scared of bugs, but the thing had given her quite a fright. Not to mention it was green and gold--Loki's colors. This looked like the same moth they'd seen on Stark's cell.
"Kill it!" she spat out, searching for the little creature so she could step on it or smash it. Stark looked distinctly amused. He hung back against the wall of the elevator with raised eyebrows and a smirk.
In her dream, Aykay watched as the machines got closer and closer, staring each of them down. Suddenly, they were standing in front of her, and from the midst of the machines, a smaller figure appeared and kneeled down to her level. Aykay felt a pang of fear. It was Sylvia.
"Your turn." she whispered quietly, smiling at her.
Something about that voice of hers was unnerving. She'd heard it plenty of times while she was imprisoned, but she'd forgotten that mocking, smooth tone of hers that...
Aykay jolted awake.
She quickly scrambled to her feet, trying to talk, but her words just came out as garbled tiger noises. She shook herself to bring herself back into reality. She had to think straight. She was a tiger. She couldn't talk.
She transformed quickly and looked up the others in a panic.
"We need to get out now." She said. "This was all a set-up. Sylvia lured us here."
Shaula sighed as she walked along the dirty streets. She glanced down at the gutter, eyeing the dirty, wet cement. A small packet of unused cigarettes lay in a puddle of mud and dirt. Shaula dove down and grabbed it, lighting it with her fingertips. She put it in her mouth and took a puff, breathing the ashy flavor that floated in her mouth.
She heard commotion just a few blocks away. 'A market square,' she thought. 'Perfect.' Her mouth twisted into a toothy, lopsided grin as she bumped into a tall boy, maybe... 25? She pulled out his wallet in a flash, and grinned. "Sorry!" she said, smirking.
Shaula ducked into a small street corner to glance at what the wallet held. She pulled out several dollars, good enough to buy a meal. She tossed away the wallet and turned back out to the market and bought a small sack of potatoes. Nothing much, but good enough for a meal.
Stepping into an alleyway, Shaula began to think. 'I really screwed up this time.' she thought to herself. 'Angering Loki? I think I've outdone myself.' she laughed to herself. Shaula gathered a small bit of paper and crumpled it together. She quickly lit it on fire and held her hands into the fire, holding the potatoes. After a moment, she pulled out her hand. "[yeep]." she muttered to herself. "Burned 'em again."
Nevertheless, she bit into it, cringing at the taste, but chewed slowly. She repeated this process several times until she was ready.
The sun had dropped behind the buildings of New York, and Shaula gave a sly smile.
Time to get looting.
Frost stopped and turned again. Then, with a touch of exasperation, she said, " Thanks for letting everyone know. " She waved the transmitter at her.
"Our good friend Sylvia probably knows too." She added with a hint of irony in her voice. She paused, wondering what she should say next. "Oh well," she finally murmured with a smirk. " More reason to throw them off."
"I'm guessing it's almost night now," she continued. "If we leave now, well..." she trailed off, letting the group's minds to create their own horrors. She leaned against the wall, impatiently waiting and itching to go up again. Her hunger and pain from her gashes had long numbed up, with her distracted by this group.
"You don't understand." she said, glancing around, almost expecting Sylvia to jump out at them.
Sylvia's voice... she'd been hearing it all this time... Telling her to join the others... to take them to the tower... Aykay thought she was losing her mind, but Sylvia was messing with her all along.
"Frost, Sylvia was trying to get us all in one place." she said. "She got me to bring you here and..."
Perhaps not the best way to word it...
As Shaula ate her "meal" in the dark alleyway, a shadowy figure walked up behind the girl. An pale elbow suddenly rested on the thief's shoulder. "What are you eating?" Sylvia said with a sigh of disgust as she stared at the burnt potatoes. She pushed down slightly with her elbow as she leant against Shaula. Her lips tilted up slightly as she spoke. "I heard you've angered my father." The darkness of the coming night curtained her face as she waited for the human to respond. The demi-god had had enough of dealing with the rebels, and instead turned to those in favor of her father's rule.
Margot whirled around looking for the little vermin before she spotted it up on the ceiling. She quickly grabbed the metal rod from Aaron and readied it for a swing. Meanwhile, Stark began to chuckle.
"It's a bug!" she snapped at him, before her shoulders dropped when she heard her own statement. "I mean, no ---- it's a bug, but it's some kind of spy thing! It followed us in here," she growled, swinging at it. Then she realized she'd just screamed bloody murder right into the transmitter.
"We're fine," she added suddenly, speaking directly into the microphone. "We've just got some creepy moth thing on us. We'll be down in a few minutes, where are you guys?"
Shaula whipped around, only to see an icy face looking back down on her. In a split second, her whole body burst into flames. A sly, lopsided sneer arose on her face as the hot flames licked her arms. She looked to both her sides, deciding what would be the best escape plan. 'Crap...' she thought. 'Why did I chooses to eat in a corner?' The frizzy-haired girl stood up to match Sylvia's gaze.
Shaula rolled her eyes and glared back at Sylvia. "I'm on your dad's side." she replied dryly. Still, just in case, Shaula held a smoke grenade in one hand and a dagger in the other.
Moth stayed on the ceiling, though it flattened itself against the elevator, as if trying to stay out of reach of the metal rod. As Margot spoke into the microphone, Moth fluttered over to Stark. It landed on the man's head, as if daring Margot to swing the rod now. Though it was probably safe for the second, the insect was ready to take flight if Stark decided to crush or capture it.
"Yes..." she said. "That much is obvious." Sylvia's gaze traveled down to the weapons in Shaula's hands. "Though I do wonder why you are holding weapons against me." the demi-god added. "However, I would like to let you know that you can not hope to best me in battle if one does happen to occur."
"Yeah, sure." Shaula replied, rolling her eyes. "You could try." she said. She slowly took out her weapons, all of them, and dropped them on the ground. She reached out for her handguns, too - and slowly kicked them away.
"However, I'm not looking for a fight." she continued, staying leveled. This was Sylvia, and she was known for not only being Loki's notorious daughter, but also an excellent fighter. Risking it wouldn't be worth it. And besides - Shaula was already in trouble with Loki. Killing, or at least injuring her wouldn't score Shaula major points on gaining his trust back.
"What do you want? Jewels, gold, money? I'm going on my weekly looting trip, I'll keep an eye out for whatever you want." Shaula asked.
Shaula yawned, for she was getting rather bored. She quickly created a small ball of bright red fire and began to toss it up and down as if it was a mere baseball. The orange flames licked at her fingers, but Shaula welcomed the all too familiar feeling of fire dancing on her fingers.
One of Sylvia's hands moved to her side, ready to draw her weapon in a moments notice. When she was sure that Shaula wasn't looking for a fight, she thoughtfully crossed her arms over her chest. As the thief spoke, she considered the offer.
"Jewels, gold, money...." she repeated. "You'll keep an eye out for whatever I want...." The demi-god raised an eyebrow questioningly at Shaula as the other yawned. As Shaula conjured the flame into her hands and began tossing it up and down, Sylvia smiled slyly.
She looked up at the sky as she thought. What would be impossible to get, but would still be legitimate enough so that Shaula knew it existed? Suddenly, a thought occurred to her. Where was Andrew? Come to think of it, he might still be at Stark Tower. Sylvia sure didn't want him to get hurt. Then, she'd have lost another servant.
"What I want isn't an valuable jewel nor money." She said. "What I want, is for you to travel to Stark Tower and bring me back my servant. If you move quickly enough, you might actually find him..."
Margot's...outbreak made her nearly jump, and distracted her from firing questions at Aykay. She spoke into the transmitter.
"Why thank you." she started off sarcastically. "Our ears just needed to die today." Then, growing serious, she continued, "We're just down here...sitting, waiting, tending to people who are injured."
Shaula stared at Sylvia, considering her offer. Her mind was buzzing with questions, but she decided not to spit them all out at once. The bad sides to Sylvia's requests were that Shaula would probably get killed if she went, and Shaula did have things to do. Looting was her job, after all. Then again... Sylvia would probably personally feel the life drain out of her if she didn't. Better not to risk it and find Sylvia's servant.
"Hmmm..." she pondered. "I have a few questions for you about this mission." she said. "First of all, what is your servant's name, and how will I identify him? Are there other rebels with him? And what happens if I fail or decide not to go?" For the last question, Shaula was pretty sure that if she didn't go, Sylvia would smash her into smithereens, but you could never be too sure.
"Lastly... Is it dangerous? It wouldn't be any fun without some danger."
"I don't know. Ever since I escaped I'd been hearing a voice... I just thought I was going crazy from the torture in this place. It helped me get out of this place and escape the machine guards, but she was just gaining my trust, wasn't she?"
So she hadn't escaped of her own accord after all. Sylvia had manipulated her all along. Somehow Sylvia was getting in her head and knew where she was and who she was with...
While Frost spoke with Margot, Aykay looked at Pyra. This was all her fault. She'd brought her here. She turned to the other two. At least they'd come here on their own whim...
She turned to Ray, who hadn't spoken much in the last while. She wasn't sure what to think of him. One minute he was happy and carefree, the next he was stern and tactical. What was his deal? In any case, he was smart.
"Ray, do you know how Sylvia could be messing with my head?" She asked. If Frost didn't know, then she figured he would be the best person to ask...
Sylvia chuckled lightly at Shaula's questions, before answering them in the order they were asked. "He is known as Andrew, and I'm sure you've seen him around before. He is clad in metal armor all the time." She paused as she let her words sink in, before adding. "Though I not know how he lives like that." Sylvia reached up to her face, before pushing back her hair behind her ear as she thought of an answer to Shaula's last few questions.
"There may or may not be a few rebels with him, but do not worry. Most of them are either hurt or half way down with their journey to insanity. In addition, if you can not find Andrew, I'd like you to take this weapon and take a few shots at the rebels." She disappeared for a moment, before reappearing with an long metallic gun in her hands. "Stay out of sight up high, perhaps on a nearby roof when you use this." Sylvia handed Shaula the gun before brushing herself off. "If you fail, it does not matter to me. Now.... if you refuse to go, you would be making an liar out of yourself." An small black moth fluttered down to her wrist, with the same patterns as the one she had left with Margot and Stark. "Dangerous ?" She asked. "No, not at all, if you're as clever as I thought."
The moth flew over to Shaula, before landing on the fiery girl's shoulder. "I need you to keep that insect with you at all times." Sylvia arched an eyebrow at Shaula as she waited for a response to both her instructions and her answers.
Frost half-heard Aykay talking until the word crazy came up. She put the transmitter into the ground. Crazy...insanity...she half smirked to herself. She could sometimes feel herself losing her sanity...but that didn't make her insane.
Trying to shake it off, she asked Zoe, " Got any change of clothes?"
~~~~

Zoe barely acknowledged Frost. "Here," she muttered, throwing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt at her. "Go down and change." When she had left for the moment, she said to Jake, " She's probably trying to maintain her sense. I think that if she feels too much emotion at once, it'll-" she stopped as she remembered that they weren't alone.

"We'll talk later," she added to Jake, seeing Frost come up again. This time her hair wasn't braided and loose. Forgetting her poise, she squealed, "See, you'd look pretty in anything, Alexis!" She saw the roll of her eyes and she regained her manners. "Oh. Sorry. " She grinned sheepishly, bashful.

~~~
Frost went back to where the transmitter was and picked it up again, while throwing her old dress at Zoe. "Use it for something, I guess." She felt much better in this clothing. More confident, even. "Ok," she said quietly. I think that we should split up. If Sylvia gets close here, who knows what can happen?" She glanced at Pyra while saying all this.
"Aykay..." Ray trailed off, worry not evident in his tone but in his eyes. "Well, I don't know, unless you've had brain surgery, it's got to be some kind of magical telepathy or something," he tried to smile, as if brain surgery and implants were a joke, when he knew they were all too real. If she'd had the operation, they could tell as there would be an scar left by the incision on her scalp- unless some kind of magic had been used to erase it, that is. But, uh, that was a stupid thought. "You haven't had neurosurgery, have you?" he asked nervously.
"Andrew... Got it." Shaula replied. She slowly began cracking her knuckles. "Hmmm... So, you mean that I'm pretty much allowed to kill any rebels in there?" she asked. She was starting to take a slight interest in this mission. She could just imagine, feeling the life burn away from the rebel scum.
Shaula fiddled with her hair, twirling it around her fingers. "I'll go. This seems like a fun mission." she purred. The small moth fluttered to her shoulder.
"I'll try not to burn it to a crisp." she smirked. She clutched the metallic gun as she gathered up the rest of her items. "Forgive me for asking, but I mostly stay to the streets and don't wander more. Which way is Stark Tower, and around what floor is he at?" she questioned.
