Aykay looked at the burn on her shoulder, then turned to Zoe.

"I hope you have more of that goop, because there's a good chance that if I'm trying to keep her distracted at close range, I'll get burned again." She said. "My tiger form handles pain better than my human form, but injuries transfer from form to form, so if I get burned as a tiger, I'll be burned when I transform back."

She turned to Frost. "There's just one thing we should factor in that I forgot. She might have Andrew with her."

Her eyes followed Kita's movements as she switched off the electricity and stepped into stance. She kept a level gaze at the girl as the servant lunged. Kita seemed to be aiming somewhere around her waist level. The demi-god let go of the staff with her right hand, so she only he it with her left. Just before Kita struck, she brought her rod down, blocking the servant's hit.

"Don't hesitate." she advised.

Her right hand wrapped around the rod, a bit away from her left. She turned the rod so the end was facing forward, before making a jab at Kita's stomach.

Kita deflected the blow downwards with her rod, bare inches before it hit. She was beginning to remember how to use the staff.

She countered the princess' blow with a strike at her collarbone, but again couldn't bring herself to strike the princess. Lady Sylvia was her master, and hitting her could mean death. Once again, she slowed her staff at the last minute.

Sylvia arched an eyebrow in surprise as Kita blocked her blow. The human must know more than she thought. As the servant swung at her collarbone, the demi-god swung up wards and blocked the hit.

"Don't hesitate." Sylvia repeated, before countering with a quick strike towards Kita's rod arm. "In a real battle, hesitation can get you killed dozens of times over."

Kita was caught off-guard by Sylvia's strike and moved her hand to block it. Unfortunately, she positioned her hands poorly and the rod struck her hand, causing her to drop her rod in surprise.

She threw up her hands in defense, knowing she wasn't fast enough to pick up her rod and block the princess' next blow.

Sylvia seemed about to strike Kita again, before she stuck her rod on the floor and used it for support. Rather girl wouldn't be much use if she was hurt to bad. "Never use your hands to defend yourself. If I were using a knife, doing that wouldn't be any good. Instead, Dodge the hit or move away until you are able to reach your weapon."

Kita looked down at the ground.

"I mean no offense, milady, but I cannot strike you. It is punishable by death." she said, nursing her hand. It throbbed painfully, but at least nothing was broken.

She stood up slowly, retrieving her rod and looking up at the princess. She was quick with the staff and skillfull, but Kita had felt the princess' surprise when she had blocked the blow to her stomach.

The princess had no flaws in the way she fought, but she did underestimate Kita, so that was likely Kita's only way of beating her. Perhaps then, there was a way of beating her without striking her...

Kita took up a defensive stance and awaited Sylvia's move.

Sylvia smiled slyly as Kita spoke. "I suppose I must be so important that being hit will condemn one to death." she said arrogantly. As the servant took up her defensive stance, Sylvia did as well. She watched the human, waiting for her to make a move.

Kita moved as if to strike, but rather than rush at Sylvia, she ducked to the side and moved behind her, swinging at the spot between her shoulder blades, but deliberately going slowly enough to give the princess a chance to block.

There was one aspect of this battle that both she and Sylvia had forgotten up to this point, and what she was about to attempt was a huge risk...

Sylvia lifted her rod up as she turned to deflect the blow. Her lips tilted down into a frown. "Don't hesitate." she said, for the third time in the past dozen of minutes. She let out a small puff of breath as she swung her rod at Kita's legs, aiming to knock her down.

Kita dodged the rod and stepped on it rather than blocking with her own staff.

"I didn't hesitate that time." She said.

She took her staff and poked Sylvia with the end. Satisfied, she stepped off of Sylvia's staff. It really was rather audacious of her, but the princess wanted her to fight and if she couldn't bring herself to hit her, she'd have to be smart...

It took a few seconds for Sylvia to figure out that Kita had won the battle. By that time, the human had stepped off the staff. Suddenly, black flames flared from her hands and tumbled down her rod. Her eyes flashed in annoyance. How could a human, much less a servant defeat her? She snapped her rod in half, blinded by her rising anger.

Her green eyes found Kita, and they narrowed into cat like slits. First in that alley when she was electrocuted, then with the few rebels that had gotten away with capturing her. After that, losing Stark, the fat boy and the same person that had electrocuted her.

She hissed in rage, her whole body enveloped in flame as she stormed over to the door of the weaponry. The demi-god jabbed the pieces of the rod, broken end first, into the strong door, before pulling it open and moving down the hallway. The flames still trailed off her body, though they didn't burn anything in the palace. The building had to have been warding with anti-magic spells in case something like this happened. And this happened often.

Kita looked down in horror at the rod as Sylvia's rage hit her like a ton of bricks. Had the rod been switched on, Sylvia would have been hit with the full electrical force of the rod, which presumably would have paralyzed her.

So she had won, but only because Sylvia had underestimated her... but if Sylvia went to her father and told him what she'd done... or even that she had been holding a weapon...

She followed Sylvia down the hallway, hoping that she could calm her down at least enough to not have her executed.

"Milady, I am sorry. I did not mean to offend you." She said breathlessly as she caught up, but stayed a few steps behind her. "If milady wishes to punish me, I will gladly take it for having offended you."

Even punishment from the princess would be worth it if she did not go to her father...

"Goop? It's a healing balm," Zoe snapped, then remembered who she was talking to. "Sorry," she muttered, flushed. "But I also have a bunch of other stuff." She bent down and rummaged to her pack and took out a vial of liquid. "Such as this blood tonic that ALE-FROST should drink." She glared at her for a moment.

Frost sighed. She ignored Zoe and added, "There may be more reinforcements coming up. As for Andrew....he can't be worse than Sylvia. Besides, we're not completely useless, or we'd be dead."

More flames exploded from her finger tips when she heard Kita's voice. Her eyes practically crackled with anger as she turned to face the servant. "Get. Away. From me." Sylvia said, pausing between words. Her flames and anger slowly trickled down as she breathed slowly to calm herself. An mental image of Andrew helped to calm yet more. What would he say if he saw her like this? Nothing good. That much she knew. Her flames finally trickled to a stop as a sense of blandness overcame her. Nothing was left from her outburst save for a dull throbbing between her eyes and a tired sigh.

"Here." Sylvia said, half tossing, half handing Kita the device. "I will come see you again tommorow. Stay in tune with this and speak to me if anything interesting happens. Otherwise, do your normal chores."

With that, she turned and walked away her head in a hand as the throbbing worsened. Her belt and sword lay forgotten back in the weaponry.

Aykay's eyes locked on Frost, shock evident on her face. Perhaps she had misinterpreted Frost's statement, but...

"You have confronted Sylvia before now?" she asked, aghast.

The way Frost said it, it sounded as though Sylvia was just another machine running around the slavegrounds. Just how powerful were she and the others?

@bunnyshadow
Kita took the device and watched as the princess walked away. She sensed an overwhelming cloud of emotion around her, so there must have been an issue with rebels again.

She thought back to what Sylvia had shown her on the device and she switched it on. She watched as the rebels appeared to be discussing their next move.

There was something dangerous about these rebels. If they had just been ordinary rioters, they would have been captured long ago...

Was this why Sylvia wanted to know if she could fight? Was the rebel problem really so bad?

"Hell no!" she replied, a smile twitching at the corners of her mouth. If the situation wasn't so serious, she might have burst out laughing. Then she stopped and regained her mask. They HAD confronted Sylvia, and Margot had bought them time, but that didn't really count..did it? "No, no, you've got it all wrong."

She continued, barely containing herself from thinking about Aykay's question and laughing. "See...I've barely met these people," gesturing at Ray and Aizel. "I've barely seen these people," she added, pointing at Zoe and Jake. "So...I barely know anything about them. Like if they can even go against Sylvia or anybody else. But that's not the point." Frost focused on the problem at hand again.

" What I'm trying to say is that Andrew a better fighter than Sylvia, because if he was more than her equal, he'd be dead. And, I'm trying to say that everyone has a weakness. It's a fact. You just have to know where to look. The problem is, where do you look?" Frost leaned against the wall and stared at the unmoving moth. She would have to be careful with what she said.Frost didn't want to blab the whole plan to the bug.

What Aykay just said was proccessed in her mind. You have confronted Sylvia before now....that question made her think of one of those days where she saw someone being torn apart by Loki's empire...Flashes of memories appeared in front her her. A girl screaming to someone to not kill her brother, who was surrounded by a hoard of chitauri. A flash of weapons....the girl's body lying emancipated and broken...her hand reaching for her brother but never touching it...a woman, being taken away to who knows where....crying "HIDE!"....and herself....standing there, helpless.

Frost struggled to focus on the matter at hand, but she managed to lock those away. It was too late to help some people out now...

Aykay sat down again, not finding any use for standing.

"But you're alive and you got away. That's more than I can say for a lot of people who have faced her and Andrew." She said. "I've heared all kinds of stories from others who had seen terrible things. And in this place..." she glanced upwards. "Terrible things happen."

She picked up the Mark I suit mask that she had found and fidgeted with it.

Frost was slightly annoyed. "We HAVEN'T faced Sylvia or Andrew. I'm just talking strategy." Then she added, "Terrible things. That's an understatement." She was referring to her thoughts a moment ago.

"Again, all I'm saying is that everyone has a weakness. Some people hide them better, that's all. " She shrugged, her eyes flashing, almost daring them to argue.

Sylvia entered her room, before shutting the door. With a sigh, she headed to the bathroom. As she shut and locked the bathroom door, the demi-god sat down on the ground, her back against the door. She put her head in her hands, waiting for the pain to fade away. After a bit, she stood and leaned over the bath, turning the knob for warm water. The demi-god undressed, before stepping into the tub and leaning back. She breathed slowly, becoming calmer as the water washed away all the dirt from the day. Nothing better disturb her now. If anyone came knocking at the door, she would probably burst into flame again.

Ray stared at the ground, a little conflicted after Frost's speech. It sounded a lot like his cue to get out of here, before he definitely got blacklisted by Sylvia and her father. If he ran now- and he was so very good at running away- he would be able to be forgotten, he could fade back into obscurity with the slaves. It wouldn't be a nice life, and the chances of much coffee would be very low, but at least it would be a life. And the work wasn't too hard, not for Ray.
... NAH. There were so many reasons why that sounded lame, but the first one was surprisingly not the coffee.
It was because... Ray did not want to get up at daybreak ever again. Getting up that early? It really sucked. If this was a free world, Ray would just lie in bed... All day.... And the next... And the next...
Ahem. And because of, you know, wanting to help the human race, and everything. They probably didn't want to get up that early either.
Ray silently wondered what his weakness was. Unless it was his love for coffee, he didn't think he knew it.

Aykay looked over at Pyra. She was getting worried about her. Maybe Zoe's medicine would help, but it was difficult to say.

"Do you ever wonder if we're just making things worse by opposing Loki?" She asked. "All those people we freed... how long before they're recaptured and... what happens when they are?"

She looked down at the Mark 1 mask.

"I mean, the Avengers tried to stop Loki, but the resulting battle nearly destroyed the city. And after, they used them as a symbol of the rebellion, which inspired hundreds to go fight and they just ended up losing..."

Zoe checked on Pyra again. She seemed fine, so she tried to breakup the ice. "A-Frost..........how much do you weigh?" Awkward....but random.

Frost stared at Zoe for a moment then slowly replied, "Not sure. The last time someone tried to carry me, they said I was like a feather. And.....that was a couple months ago. "

She focused on the matter on hand again. "True. We may make things worse. Or it can be better. Aykay, this indecisive attitude won't do anything at all. Sure, no news is good news, but not doing anything.......seems wrong in a sense. There will come a revolution. Just look at history. The patterns repeat."

She turned to Ray. "Anything you would like to voice? Strange....everyone was so quiet......."

Pretend that she didn't see Andrew yet D:

Shaula sighed. Where was Andrew? She gave a growl of frustration. Deciding that he couldn't be close by, she headed back down.

She gave a twisted grin as she looked at the rebels. "Hmmm... I'm taking two of you home with me. Rebels mean big money." she laughed. She sneered as she walked around, stopping at a boy with messy black hair and bright blue eyes.

"You! What's your name?" she asked. She glanced around - most were looking ready to kill her. She laughed - no puny weapons could defeat Shaula!

Ray had been seriously thinking about what Aykay had just said. It was very shocking, he had never considered that angle at all, that they may be hurting people more than helping them. Frost's reply reassured him, as he knew from experience in the factories that doing nothing never made anything better, however, the damage had been done and a smidgen of doubt routed itself in the back of his mind. If they didn't win, couldn't they destroy what little the slaves did have....?
That's when the girl reentered the room.
He felt a shiver course through him when she looked at him; he definitely did not like her expression, and her words even less. Ray couldn't help but feel he definitely should have left when he'd had the chance.
"... What?" he ended up saying warily, looking at the others for prompts on what to do. Mostly, he wanted to punch this girl in the nose and tell her to [yeep] off. But what with her incredibly arrogance against such superior numbers, he was getting this vibe off the fireball that it might just be a bad idea. Ray hesitated.

Aykay growled, transforming. There was no way this girl was going to take her or anyone else. She had said she would distract her at close range. Assuming the plan hadn't changed and hoping Frost would remember her part of it and attack from a distance, she immediately charged at the girl, aiming for her abdomen.

As a human, this girl had terrified her since she had no means of defending herself. As a tiger though...

Frost cursed and muttered, "Egotistical little....You'll have to catch one of us first."

She knew she probably could escape safely if she was by herself, but now, two idiots called Zoe and Jake came along and just HAD to stay here.

Then it hit her that she was supposed to shoot that fireball to death. Extinguished. She sighed tiredly and within moments, had her bow and arrows out. If only she could shoot more than one at a time. It would be a lot more useful.

She stepped away from the others, giving herself room between Miss Hothead and the others, while giving some space to move around if needed. She focused on the human, aimed, shot the arrow, and repeated. Frosts main aim was towards the head, neck, and the tendons at the ankles to knock her down, all while avoiding Aykay.

Just a target, she thought. She hadn't really killed that many people and it still bothered her. She wasn't efficient enough to be an assassin. Yet. Maybe some day. Or not.

Shooting arrows had sometimes become such a monotonous process that it gave her time to think about other things. What to do next in life, how to keep herself from losing it and others from seeing her being so weak by putting a facade on, and maybe...the future. She snapped to attention every few moments just to make sure she wasn't accidently hitting someone she wasn't supposed to.

Shaula smirked. "Put your puny arrows away, unless you want me to burn them and your little bow." she laughed. Her body blazed up as each arrow whizzed through her, catching fire and burning to a crisp."

Shaula glanced at the tiger. "Where's Blondie?" she asked. "I was having SO much fun with her before." She then realized that the tiger was Blondie. "I guess Tigger will work as well. I don't like cats very much."

Suddenly, Shaula felt herself getting lifted up and slammed to the wall. "HEY!" she shouted, taken aback. Calming herself down, she forced herself to talk. "You do understand that slamming me to the wall like that would just burn you? I could turn into fire any moment, and BAM. Grilled tiger."

She turned to stare at everyone. "I won't hurt ANY of you if one of you decides to come with me. Believe me - a life with me might be okay. I'm much nicer than Sylvia." Shaula grinned.

Aykay roared at the girl. There was no way she was going to be anyone's pet anymore. She had no doubt that Sylvia was worse. She'd already been in her clutches before...

She bared her teeth and raised a paw. As much as she didn't want to get burned again, she also didn't want to be taken prisoner.

She swung her paw at her.
