"Energy?" Camilla wondered out loud. She stared at the boy as he worked on the man's shoulder. Her eyes wandered over to the edge of the clearing, where she saw a white flower. Her mouth opened into a small 'o' when she spotted it. "It's so pretty." Camilla said as she headed over and leaned down to touch the flower's petals. Her right hand caressed the flower before plucking the plant. She placed the flower behind her ear before twirling around and facing the chubby boy. "Does it look nice?"

"Mhmm." Aaron said to the girl, as she repeated him in a questioning tone. When she asked him about how the flower looked, Aaron replied in all honesty: "It looks like it's now dead. But not bad," he added hastily, still unused to such a calm person. Everyone else seemed insanely hyper, angry or bossy compared to this girl.
"What's your name? Mine's Aaron and that dirty guy over there is Iron Man." He bowed awkwardly, unsure of how to formally present himself.

"My name is Camilla." she said in a sing-song voice. She lightly bit her bottom lip as she comprehended the name of the man. "Why are you called Iron Man?" she asked before turning back to Aaron. "Why is he called Iron man?" Camilla stepped over to the so-called 'Iron Man'. She touched him lightly with her un-gloved hand. "You don't feel like your made of iron."

Aykay frowned. "Since we both know you aren't here to visit, how's about you let me know what you're really doing here, other than to use outdated rebel capture techniques to try and guilt me into coming home."

Ethan sighed. He should have known better. Even if she had decided to come back, she was way too involved with these rebels to be pardoned of what she'd done...

"To be honest, that was it." he said. "But you should ditch those rebels and go into hiding. You're putting yourself in danger here. There are chitauri everywhere and..."

"You still don't see what he's doing, do you?" she growled suddenly. "Loki is..."

"Don't you dare finish that sentence." he growled back. "Emperor Loki brought order to this world."

"You didn't see what I saw during that raid we did on that rebel base." she said, her voice growing unsteady. "You were too busy being a hero to see that woman and her two little kids being mercilessly..."

"That woman shot you." he said angrily. "That's what those rebels are like. You can't trust them, Aykay. I don't understand why you would side with the same kind of people that almost got you killed."

"I DESERVED IT, ETHAN!" she yelled suddenly.

She vaguely recalled not wanting to be heard, but Ethan... He just didn't get it. He was so stubborn... How could he not see that they had been in the wrong?

Zoe walked out, stretching her arms leisurely. Then she looked around. "Um...I hate to be the person to break it to you guys, but where's Aykay?" As those words were out of her lips, the said voice was heard.

She seemed to be arguing with someone. Zoe pursed her lips. "Looks like we know where she is," she replied, grinning maniacally. She started forward, but stopped when two swords were placed on her neck.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Frost stopped her. "Who says Jake and you are going? " she murmured. "3 people is too much. Besides, I still don't think that you can defend yourself that well. No offense." She stepped back, retracting her swords....

...Just as Zoe glared, and whipped out two makeshift daggers-made from scrap metal- from her backpack and pointed it at her chest. "Jakey's not good at all making weapons, but he can mindlessly sharpen stuff. Even I can do that. Did you really think I only had herbs?" she retorted.

Frost looked at Zoe for a minute. "You know you can't win in an argument against me," she began. She started walking towards the voices, but turned once. "So only try when it's not an important matter."

Stalking towards the commotion, she stopped as the voices got louder, and clearer. She hid down behind a group of shrubbery, fingering her weapon in its default clip mode.

A boy's back, about Margot's age or younger, was faced towards her. Next to him was a chitauri, who, surprisingly, seemed to know...Aykay. She (Aykay, not the chitauri, who seemed male for some odd reason)ws agitated, yelling at the guy, who was apparently called Ethan. She watched silently as the two argued it out. Maybe she could find more about their past.

Ethan growled in frustration. His sister was an idiot.

"Aykay... You are so..." He could barely get the words out. "At the very least, you should get away from those people you're with. You can't trust rebels."

"Then why are you trying so hard to get me back home? You obviously can't trust me." She retorted. "You'd better start thinking for yourself, Ethan. Your devotion to Loki is getting in the way of your better judgement."

He grabbed her arm. "I could arrest you right now."

She smirked. "I'd like to see you try, moron."

Ethan sighed and reached into a bag tied to his shoulder. He pulled out a chitauri gun and handed it to her.

"I trust you still know how to use one of these." He said stiffly.

"Yeah." She said, glaring.she didn't need his charity...

"Don't get killed." He said simply.

Home...devotion to Loki...

Those two....it suddenly clicked. If her logic wasn't screwed up, then that would mean Aykay belonged to a pro-Loki family, as well as the only one who turned traitor to his Majesty, Loki (coughscumcough).

She half heard the next part, something about the guy-Ethan-arresting...?

Rebel Hunter. That was what Ethan was. And he must have some close relation to Aykay...but what? Brother? Cousin? Servant(not likely, though.) And how did he find her? Would it prove a problem?

She tensed when she saw the flash of a Chitauri gun. Bloody, guilty for the deaths of-

Her train of thought was cut off as she heard a girl-Zoe?-scream halfway. She cringed. Whatever happened to being quiet...Frost just hoped Jake stopped her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jake watched as Zoe stared for a while. Then she suddenly screamed in frustration. He did a tackle and knocked her down to the ground. "Mmph!" she mumbled. "Stop that, would you?" She flipped on top of him.
Jake grinned. "You've got to stop screaming. Be more discreet." His grin grew wider as Zoe rolled her eyes, stood up, and said, "Not my fault if Alexis thinks she can do stuff all by herself, all the time. Such a feminist."
"Aww, you know her. Well, not really. Who knows what happened?" Jake replied casually, still laying on the ground. Their eyes met and it grew silent again.
Brown to Green. It still amazed him how his eye color was boring, his hair was boring, and he was boring, but yet, Zoe, gorgeous, model level, out of his league, was his girlfriend. And Frost, confident, smart, quiet but very evil at times, was his best friend. They brought trouble as well as good.
Bad thing or good thing? Jake thought that he'll stick with good. Now as for the others....
Aykay froze as she heard a scream. Frost? No, she wouldn't be caught dead screaming like that. Had to be Zoe.
"Your friends are nearby?" he asked coldly. "I suppose I'm surrounded?"
She rolled her eyes. "Hardly. They aren't organized, mindless soldiers like you guys."
"I see the whole rebel thing is working out for you."
She growled, trying not to think about how true his words were. "If I'm gonna die fighting this war, it won't be on the side who picks off unarmed civilians who happen to disagree."
Frost saw Aykay freeze up. She needed to get her attention...but she'll need to knock the other two out first. As she thought more of it, she reconsidered it. Nah...she'll talk to Aykay later. Or wait...
Frost turned her clip into a spear. She threw it towards her right, rustling the bushes that way. Maybe it'll work. She waited a couple of moments for her clip to come back, and did it again, repeating the process a couple times more. Then she slipped further away, to her left, but just close enough to watch.
Another thing hit her. Where was Pyra? She cursed inside her mind.
Ethan looked off to the right as he heard the bushes rustle.
"Your friends are close by." he told her, keeping his eye on the bush. "So what happened to your friend there?"
Aykay had almost forgotten Pyra. She was still slumped against the rock and still wasn't moving.
"She got hurt in the battle." she answered. "I was the only one who could carry her and still move decently fast. I was hoping to find Aaron so he could..."
She stopped. The less he knew about the people traveling with her, the better.
"So how's mom doing?" she asked, changing the subject.
As much as Ethan wanted to press the matter about this 'Aaron' that she was trying to find, he knew he wouldn't get much out of her.
"She's been pretty sick lately." he answered. "The anxiety's not helping, you know. She's worried that you'll..."
"Enough with the guilt-tripping already." she growled. "I'm not going back."
@dada_dragon
Frost did the spear thing again, just a couple more times. Not working. Great. She had half a mind to lob Ethan's head with a rock, but her instincts told her that Aykay wouldn't like that. Nor would it work well.
Strategies and plans ran through her head. Any major strategy used by military generals like Napoleon or Ulysses S. Grant would definitely not work; she needed to think small, but effective. If she just took some of Jake's bombs....
As she pondered on what to do, she ran through her hair. Aggh..so messy. She should cut it soon.
A rebel hunter. With a chitauri. How to distract him..? Her eyes widened slightly as a new plan hatched.
She had to be bait-counting herself as a rebel. Stepping lightly, as if on air, she went over to where she threw her spear. Transforming her clip into a short but slim white dagger, she threw it past the clearing, at a distant tree, like a warning shot. It hit the tree with the a faint thump, even fainter than the words, "I'm not going back." By Aykay, she presumed.
When her weapon was recalled back, she cut of the tips of her hair, about a couple inches or so. That would be evidence. She led a slight trail away from where she came. When she was done, she headed towards her hiding spot.
Ethan turned quickly in the direction from which the dagger had come. He quickly transformed before Aykay could protest and ran off in that direction.
Quickly breaking free of her stupor, Aykay was about to transform when Taku grabbed her from behind, holding his spear to her back. He chattered something in her ear.
"As if I'd let you stop me, Taku." she said. "I don't care whose best interests he thinks he's serving, but they certainly aren't mine."
Ordinarily, she'd have transformed anyway, risking a blow and taking down a chitauri to chase after Ethan and stop him from pursuing whoever had been watching, but this was Taku. He'd been her training partner before she had run away. And he knew it. He wasn't going to arrest her, he was just preventing her from stopping Ethan...
Ethan, meanwhile, was following a scent-trail. He had followed it to the strands of hair that had clearly been intended as a decoy, but her scent- it was definitely a female- doubled back towards the clearing. There were two other people nearby as well, but he was more concerned about the one with the dagger.
He spotted her watching from not far away from where they had been. He slowly approached, keeping low to the ground.
Frost didn't react as she noticed another white tiger, even bigger than Aykay, started stalking her. No...it couldn't be-Ethan? Great. What next? A troop of white tigers made up of Aykay's family?
Luckily, her weapon was in clip mode, so it made her seem more vulnerable. At least the bait worked. She stood up to walk...and started chatting to herself quietly.
"Hmm...I wonder if I'm close to the base yet?" she said, wandering exactly in the opposite direction of the tower. "I mean..it's got to be here somewhere. I want to go home to eat..."
She paused, and looked around, her eyes swooping over the tiger, as if he didn't exist. She sighed. "No food here either...."
She turned and started walking again. She needed a better strategy....like find a river to throw off her scent. But where..?
Going back where they first saw Aykay was too close to Stark Towers...and as far as she knew, they're weren't that many waterways in Manhattan.
Meanwhile, she made a random turn, back towards the clearing. She didn't want to lose track of where the others were.
Plotting, plotting....could she kill Ethan? Actually, scratch that. Could she kill Ethan without getting a gauge on his level of skill?
Ethan kept stalking the rebel girl. She seemed a little young to be taking down a high-security prison... There were probably more of them...
He didn't need his tiger form for this. Fighting a kid was embarrassing. He resumed his human form and walked up behind her.
"By the authority of His Imperial Majesty, Loki, prince of Asgard and ruler of Earth, you are under arrest for insurrection, the attack on Stark federal prison, and treason."
Aykay was surprisingly calm as Taku forced her to her knees and bound her with the ropes that had tied her to Pyra. He chattered at her in response to her silence.
"You know better than to think I've given up." She laughed. "I'm just confident that someone will show up."
Frost's eyes widened oh-so-innocently. "What's treason?" she asked. "It sounds like a bad thing. Who would ever even try that to His Majesty?" To be honest, she was internally committing suicide at this point.
"What's under arrest? What's insurrection? What's an authority? Do you have food?" Her tone rose higher and higher, leading into levels of hysterics.
"Do you know what happened to my family? I can't find them!!!!" Pretending to freak out, she ran off. Toward where Aykay was.
Not a bad plan.
Pyra's level of consciousness had been varying, but now she achieved some of her senses. She felt pain first, but it seemed like background noise. She didn't move, but she was hearing what was going on. Something about... Restaurants? Maybe dynamite? Why anyone would talk about that, she didn't know. A scream too, or something. That made more sense. Sad, it was so common. She hated those beasts in the tower... Wasn't she in the tower? Good, she'd be able to smack some sense into... Whoever lived there. Right...
Frost looked out from the corner of her eye. His flaw...underestimation. She'll just let him think that she was a foolish idiot. Probably not his fatal flaw though. Huh. Typical of boys.
She couldn't keep this much longer, just running directly. Her wounds had opened up again, and he can always track her scent. She started running faster, and jump left to right and back, like a deer. She burst into the clearing, barely seeing the chitauri.
Her eyes focused on Aykay, warning her not to give recognition. Aykay, to put it simply, was tied up. She stopped there, pretending to be indecisive.
Ethan burst into the clearing, glaring at the girl. So troublesome... Taku moved behind the girl and he moved in front. Ethan stared down at the girl. Where on earth could she have hidden that dagger... After hitting the tree, it had flown back to where it had been thrown from, almost like it was called...
"Is this one of your new friends, Aykay?" He asked.
Aykay growled. "Even if I did know this little street brat, why would I tell you?" If Frost wanted her to pretend she didn't know her, then she might as well make it believable... "If you start thinking every runaway or abandoned orphan is a rebel, then you're gonna have paranoia issues. This girl is hardly one of us."
Ethan smiled. "I agree with you that she's not much, but she's got powers at the very least and pathetic or not, the emperor is very interested in superhumans..." He turned back to the girl. "I thought superpowers died out with the Avengers. Apparently I was wrong."
Frost mentally groaned. Superpowers her face. If she had superpowers, there would be a lot more she could do. And Ethan inspecting at her made her uncomfortable.
See, if she had superpowers, she would turn him into a legendary monster-like one of the Greek goddess Artemis's favorite ones, the jackalope- and hunt him down.
In reality, she didn't, so in cases like these, she usually kicked in the....delicate part and screeched bloody murder, before snapping the head off. Somehow, she still thought that Aykay wouldn't appreciate THAT either, so she restrained herself. Barely.
Keep acting dumb, she thought. Blonde hair like Zoe's would help play up the stereotype in this situation. "Umm...what's a superpower?" Her blue eyes were big, like a deer.
She ignored the chitauri and walked over to stand behind Aykay. She started poking Aykay, as if identifying a new specimen. In reality, she was loosening up the bonds each time she poked a finger through the ropes and tugging ever so slightly, while trying to hide the fact she was doing so by moving around Aykay quickly, like a panther.
She was also playing up the bombing questions part. "Where are you from? Are you hungry? Do you know him? Why did you tie yourself on this chair?" And so on. She had a notion this wasn't going to work well.
Cross her heart and hope to die?
Aykay wanted nothing more than to rip loose from her bonds and punch Frost. She was going a little overboard with the acting and it was driving her nuts...
She was about to try to grab her wrist the next time it got close to her when she realized her bonds were much more loose than before... Perhaps she had underestimated Frost...
Ethan growled and transformed, his patience having reached an end. He ran at Frost, extending his claws...
Frost neatly dodged Ethan in tiger mode and aimed a kick at his side. "Did you eat something radioactive? Hmm...I wonder what is radioactive...."
Frost wondered if her trademark neutering (A/N: Frost was thinking of a stronger word, but this is a children's site....)-threats and more- would work on a tiger. Probably not. Better not find out.
She could tell that Aykay was really peeved, as was Ethan. Impatience did seem to run in that family. Or maybe she was so annoying when using this strategy.
She twirled a strand of her hair, wondering if she can get close enough to knock him out. She eyed him warily as she was stepping back a little more.
Ethan looked back at the girl and growled. He had felt her kick as he passed. Reaction time like that... who was this girl? But the kick hadn't hurt at all, so he wasn't too concerned. If he could catch her, he would have no problems at all...
Aykay watched Frost kick Ethan and rolled her eyes. Seriously? He was a 500 pound male white bengal tiger. There was no way Frost was going to do any damage like that...
Then again, even she couldn't do much good against him. Her tiger form was much smaller and a good 200 pounds lighter.
"Hey, kid." she called out to Frost, still pretending to not know her. "You're not going to do anything like that. He's a tiger."
Frost nearly cursed, but caught herself in time. Automatic reaction was kicking...which may have shown her true colors. If that was true, she needed a new...
Aykay's statement brought her back to reality. There was something wrong with her today. "Miss..uh...Lady? I guess?" she replied. "Even I know that's a tiger." she added, intentionally adding that personal insult.
"But since he is..." she sighed. "Then I won't fight. I love animals."
She turned slightly towards Aykay. "I mean, it's not like I have any weapons, right?" Her face was straight when she said this, a perfect pokerface.
Frost suspected that Ethan wouldn't take the bait, but still would try to catch her. A tiger...weren't they heavy? She deeply regretted not studying weak points of a tiger once...but, come on. It was hard to anticipate that.
Ok. Heavy. If she could imbalance him...with his own weight....
One speed factor coming up. She just needed to be fast enough to make him miss.
Aykay was beginning to wonder if Frost had any kind of plan at all. How much of what she was saying was an act?
She growled as she loosened the ropes around her wrists and ankles. If she sensed Frost was in danger, all bets were off. She would move in to defend her, which hopefully would hint to her to drop the innocent act.
But that was a last resort. The second she jumped in, Ethan would realize that Frost was in league with Aykay and the rebels who attacked Stark Tower...
Ethan stared Frost down. Maybe she didn't have a weapon after all... Perhaps he was giving her too much credit.
He ran at her again, this time ready to change directions if she tried to dodge again... Military training running through his mind, he rushed at her.
The moth stared out at Aykay and Ethan with it's beady eyes. It was concealed in the leaves of a tree, it's black and green blending with the shadows and the tree's leaves. The servant should be getting this... the moth twitched it's antennae. Maybe the emperor himself, or ever the princess... It remained hidden, occasionally fluttering deeper into the bushel of leaves or higher up the trunk as it caught sight of Frost...
Moth was intelligent. Perhaps more than the humans would have thought. Moth shall remain with these evil humans that are trying to overthrow his master. Moth will stay as long as the princess wants him to. Moth is loyal to the royal family. Long live the Emperor....
Ethan growled and lunged again. He was going to get that girl. She had dodged him and dodged him, but he would not let her get away. He had spent enough time already, he couldn't give up now...
Aykay pulled herself free and scrambled over towards Pyra. She looked away briefly to see how Frost was doing. Ethan seemed to be catching on to the way she dodged and if she kept tempting him like that, she'd lose an arm...
As she turned back towards Pyra, she was thrown backwards by a punch to the chest. She had somehow forgotten Taku in the chaos. He seemed a little shocked by what he had done, but quickly recovered and ran at her again.
Aykay's rebel hunting training kicked in before she could even think about it and she ducked to the side, then aimed a kick at the side of his ribcage. She was a little out of practice in her human form, however. She missed, causing her to slip and fall on her back.
Taku had her pinned before she could get up. He made a few mechanical noises, then turned to watch Ethan and Frost's struggle.
"You don't want to hurt me?" she laughed coldly. "You spend way too much time with humans. You don't sound like a chitauri at all."
Aykay knew that her and Frost couldn't take on Ethan and Taku with the amount of battle damage they had gotten in the tower (unless Frost was holding back, which she wouldn't be surprised by). She knew she had one shot at this, but it was risky. She knew she could let them know that they were in danger, but it would also give their location away to any chitauri or rebel hunters in the area. It was worth a shot...
Before Taku could react, Aykay transformed and roared. She knew from training that a tiger's roar could be heard over unfathomably long distances, and she was hoping that this was true...
Kita looked down at her pocket and noticed a red light blinking on the device Sylvia had given her. She picked it up and examined it. She watched as the tiger girl approached a rebel hunter and his chitauri companion. It was looking as though it were an arrest until the rebel hunter handed her something... her eyes widened as she realized what it was...
"Milady..." she said, uncertain. "I believe a member of the rebel hunting squadron just handed one of those rebels a weapon..."
Frost sighed. This was truly boring. As Ethan the tiger lunged yet again, she stepped back, and in one fluid motion, went to the side of him, stepped back, and paused.
She was probably asking him to fight, as well as signing her own death warrant, but she had to keep up the act. "Can't catch me!" she called, as a four year old would.
Aykay's roar, though, ticked her off. Great. More evil psychos coming their way. She glanced quickly, and almost cursed. It would have been better if Aykay just pretended to be stuck. She needed more time...
A chitauri pinned Aykay...and she was in tiger form...
On a side note, how did Zoe maintain this all the time? Calm, cold, and aloof was much easier than Zoe's favorite strategy: The dumb blonde stereotype. Sure, her personality of coupling, beauty, and the things that "fit" in a blonde helped, but still.
Back to Ethan...the main issue.
Why did he have to be Aykay's freaking family?
Somehow, Ray heard Aykay over his own yakking.
"Oh, it's that girl, mmwhatshername... Yakay? ...Yakkie? Really, her parents should have named her after a lion or something, not a bovine," he rolled his eyes.
"Where is she, anyway...? It's likely catnip. I bet she wants us to help her bring the catnip with her, but we probably shouldn't. You know that stuff's intoxicating for cats. Consuming too much of it can make them really aggressive! I'm not sure if it effects yaks though, or any kind of bovine, for that matter. Maybe we could bring some back, and run some tests, find out. Besides, it can make good tea. Do you drink tea? I prefer coffee, but if you drink it too late at night, you can't sleep.... I'm going to get Catnip, and by that I mean noun, 1) endearment for a person, wontedly female, in which they are likened to a feline, and 2) the plant Nepeta cataria, commonly known as catnip, or catswort or catmint... Okay?" he gave Marmite-Margot a reassuring smile and vanished in a flash, racing over to where he had heard the roar. He hoped that Aykay wasn't in too much trouble, but knowing his luck, it was probably a Chitauri horde of several hundred, sigh, and here he was, hurrying to his appropriately speedy demise. However, it would be far too boring to WALK over there, and so hurrying was really the better option in his eyes. Really, who walks? Walking is for... Snails.
On nearing the site, he had intended to approach slowly and properly analyze the situation like a smart person before recklessly rushing in, but he actually tripped, fell literally face-to-dirt, and his momentum kept him skidding across the ground for several meters, that is, until he crashed into Ethan.
"Ow. ...Oh, wow, what a soft tree this is..." he said, his voice muffled. "It must be Christmas?"
