hi ^^well i didn't noticed any problems till now, but i think it would be good to get a notification, if someone bids for my creature...
iloveu2 • 25 November 2013 at 6:51 PM
@sophia123 or when you have been outbid.
novrain62 • 25 November 2013 at 8:01 PM
@Ian - Creature Auction #311. placed a bid2. winning bid 3. i got outbid, so I then was losing bid4. rebid; so it should tell me I'm winning the bid,but it reads that i'm losing the bid on MY BIDS
sophia123 • 25 November 2013 at 8:15 PM
@iloveu2 yes^^ @novrain62 i have the problem... Creature Auction #23Edit: it should be possible to "outbid" yourself to increase the bid (maybe if you want to go for sure or something like that...)
novrain62 • 25 November 2013 at 8:17 PM
@sophia123 - okay, I bid on #23 now what does it say?** it did read that i can't outbid myself 😊
sophia123 • 25 November 2013 at 8:19 PM
@novrain62 "loosing" again... and i noticed that the "your bid" amount is wrong... it stayed by "1" (my first bid)edit: if you are the current "winner" you can't bid again... that's what i meant^^
novrain62 • 25 November 2013 at 8:21 PM
@sophia123 - mine says losing - so I will rebid and see if it changes again for both of us
sophia123 • 25 November 2013 at 8:22 PM
@novrain62 i'll wait^^
novrain62 • 25 November 2013 at 8:24 PM
@sophia123 - okay It's not updating, for sure
sophia123 • 25 November 2013 at 8:25 PM
@novrain62 no update here too
novrain62 • 25 November 2013 at 9:13 PM
bid increments surely not being followed, but is that allowed?there is no rule on that, so should there be?
cqpkytty • 25 November 2013 at 9:29 PM
There should be a way to close an auction without waiting until it expires. I set a starting price on one of my auctions that I want to change, but apparently I can't. Also, someone's already offered on it.

I think it would be nice if once you are outbid, you get the ec back that you offered. Say you offered 10k on a tasma but someone offered 15k and out bid you. I think you should get the 10k back instantly, instead of having to wait for the auction to end to get it back.
crazy4life • 25 November 2013 at 10:06 PM
When looking at your current bids, I think it should be organized by when they expire instead of the last one you bid on. I have a bid on one that expires in 10min and after bidding on that one I bid on one that expires in 7days, and that one is at the top so I have to carefully look at when they end.
mrsgiggles • 26 November 2013 at 1:23 AM
@Ian Any chance there is a "buy out" option, ie the user can set a price for people who want to just buy the pet/egg right away? Most auctions have this, eg auction bidding starts at 1,000 EC but buyout price is 50,000 EC.
novrain62 • 26 November 2013 at 5:49 AM
I dont like the BUYOUT idea; that can be a trade item.What would be the point of an auction then?
tamomo • 26 November 2013 at 6:17 AM
but one question. When you've already post a value of ec.. and next time, after the offer of another person, you want offer again. It shouldn't lower the difference between the two offers that you did? when I offer again, it is as if I had double of ec!
squijum01 • 26 November 2013 at 7:51 AM
@leafpoolzI agree with this. Particularly for the auctions that are getting into the hundreds. Just an example...Player A bids 300k on an auction and has 250k left over.They get out bid by 50k and the total is now 350k.Player A wants to increase bid, but cannot because they only have 250k ec on hand.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~From what I've tested so far the auctions are working as tended. I have a few suggestions that I think would really make these auctions rock out. 😊1) A way to get bids back once you've been outbid as discussed with leafpoolz2) A search option to look for particular creatures3) A notification system to let you know you've been outbid4) I also agree with what other testers have said about the organization of the bids. Maybe create a sorting option? Like we do with our coves? That's what I've got so far! Thank you for this opportunity! 😊

Does it notify you when you are outbid? If it doesn't that should definitely be added. And if there isn't already, you should be able to cancel a bid if you change your mind, or at least when the auction is over be able to decide if you want to accept the offer or not.I haven't been through the whole process, I'm just throwing that out there if it isn't already like that 😋
sophia123 • 26 November 2013 at 1:55 PM
one question: will there be a new button on profiles for auctions? you know like the ones for trades, friends, recent posts an so on...
Ian • 26 November 2013 at 3:10 PM
@novrain62 @sophia123 Are the problems you're having with seeing if you're the highest bidder on this page?http://eggcave.com/creatureauctions/my_bidsMy understanding of your problem is that the "bid amount" and "highest bidder?" fields are incorrect. Can you confirm? Ping back.Change Log26 Nov: When viewing "My Bids," now ordered by auction close time (ASC), instead of the bid timeCurrent Suggestions:1. The ability to outbid yourself (essentially replace your highest bid with an even higher amount)2. The ability to immediately receive your escrow back (I'm not sure if auctioning systems anywhere else work like this)3. A way to close an auction without waiting until it expires4. Adding Auction link on Profiles (of course!)5. Notifications for events: outbid, when somebody bids on your auction, etc6. "Buy out" option7. Search by species (being added!)
novrain62 • 26 November 2013 at 3:12 PM
@Ian - yes. I just checked all My Bids and most that say Losing are not correct. for instance your Suckerlop auction. I am the top bidder. Bids are not updating (Winning or Losing) and some since yesterday also, the amount(s) of current bid(s) are not updating either on My Bids page. they are a few bids behind. (meaning the amount of ec bid, thus far)
sophia123 • 26 November 2013 at 4:24 PM
@Ian yes, exactly there. and yes, "bid amount" and "highest bidder" are incorrectedit: tried another auction now... there i am the only bidder at the moment and the page we spoke about shows "winning" for that auction... ( Creature Auction #32)and maybe it would be nice to see the "starting bid" at the "auction listing" page.
Ian • 26 November 2013 at 5:15 PM
@novrain62 @sophia123 http://eggcave.com/creatureauctions/my_bidsTry now. The Current Bid and Highest Bidder? fields should be correct. Please verify that this is working for your accounts and ping back.
novrain62 • 26 November 2013 at 5:57 PM
@Ian - fabulous 😊 It's working now! Thank you.
Ian • 26 November 2013 at 6:18 PM
@novrain62 Fantastic! Bug officially fixed. 😃 You mentioned earlier:"bid increments surely not being followed, but is that allowed?there is no rule on that, so should there be?"Can you link me to an auction where bid increments aren't being followed?@faerie_eclair_mallow Notifications added when outbid!
novrain62 • 26 November 2013 at 6:23 PM
@Ianhttp://eggcave.com/creatureauctions/view/29one of my own for example. jumped from 1,040 to 10,000and then again just now from 10,240 to 20,280then like this one:http://eggcave.com/creatureauctions/view/35jumped from 33,150 to 500,000(( examples ))
Orderedchaos • 26 November 2013 at 6:34 PM
@novrain62 That's because the bid increment is the minimum amount of ec that a bid has to increase by. If someone really wants a creature they can bid more than the minimum.
novrain62 • 26 November 2013 at 6:36 PM
@orderedchaos - okay, just making sure 😊 thank you!!
