Shadepaw heard some nudging and turned around to see Nightpaw being nudged by Mosspelt. She wanted to run up to them and say something positive already to them. Not knowing how she's already been a tiny bit of social.

"Mosspelt, has your apprentice, Nightpaw done well in his training and does he live up to the warrior code?" Blazestar asked as he watched mentor and apprentice be nudged to the center of the circle.

Blazestar nodded. "Nightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and everything it stands for? Do you promise you defend MistClan and it's cats even until your last breath?" Blazestar demanded, staring down at the apprentice.

Blazestar jumped down from the Tall Rock, moving to stand beside Nightpaw. "Then by the power given to me by StarClan I name you Nighttalon. May your integrity and motivation guide you through your silent vigil tonight." He rested his nose on Night-talon's shoulder.

Nighttalon licked Blazestar's shoulder respectfully. Mosspelt stood up,"Nighttalon! Nighttalon!" Other cats joined in including Eveningmist and Moonsplash.

"Nighttalon. Nighttalon." Shadepaw tried to speak loudly, but was barely heard, trying to cheer for him.

Sunsetheart loudly mewed, "Nighttalon! Nighttalon! Nighttalon!!!!!"
He celebrated it happily cheering it on with the others.

Nighttalon's heart swelled with pride as the whole Clan chanted his name. He was a little nervous for the vigil but he knew StarClan was watching him. Eveningmist was happy, it always made her joyful when a new warrior was named. Mosspelt was excited, his first apprentice was now actually a warrior!

Blazestar watched Night-talon with warm eyes. This cat was going to make a fine warrior. And he could only hope that the Clan would stay at peace for a bit longer.

But he knew it would not. His dreams, haunted not with prophecies, but of his own demise, stayed with him even in this joyous moment. And he shivered, watching Night-talon soak up all the praise from his Clan-mates.

Nighttalon padded up to Mosspelt,"I'm a warrior can you believe it?"

Mosspelt purred,"Yes you'll be a fine warrior!"

Wolfpaw glanced up from her spit by the medicine den. She could see the pride in Mosspelt's eyes as his kin was named a warrior. And the apprentice couldn't help but smile at the family bond there.

More warriors approached Nighttalon with congratulations. Night was quickly approaching and soon it would be time for Nighttalon's vigil. Moonsplash turned,"When can I uh walk?"

Amberflower saw the pride in Nighttalon's eyes. She whispered to Wolfpaw, "Come, it's time to leave."

Duskfur was a little sad that Nighttalon was now a warrior.

She was happy for him of course, but she would miss him coming to check on her. Nighttalon had always been one of Duskfur's favorite apprentice.

Shadepaw was glad for a new warrior being named, the small clan is now starting to thrive better now. She turned to see Sunsetheart and hissed a little, but stopped and returned to Nighttalon's moment.

Sunsetheart was excited for Nighttalon's vigil, ready for him to become a new warrior with the others and him.

"Nighttalon, remember, stay silent and I'll tell you when the vigil is over in the morning."

Nighttalon nodded,"Alright. See you in the morning fellow warrior."

Mosspelt purred again.

As Amberflower and Wolfpaw made their way to the Moonpond, Amberflower recalled her own trip to the Moonpond for her ceremony.

Her old mentor, Junipertail, had been an amazing teacher.

Amberflower remembered being so nervous that she tripped over a log and fell in a mud puddle. She chuckled at the fond memories.

Nighttalon settled in the middle of the camp ears pricked. He watched the shadows for any movement.

Mosspelt curled in his nest certain nothing would go wrong during Nighttalon's vigil. Moonsplash fell asleep.

Tanglepath headed back to the warrior's den. He looked to see if Moonsplash was in it. When he didn't see her, he began to groom himself.

Wolfpaw nodded, before she crouched by the edge of the water. She dipped her nose close, before taking a small drink of it. The cold chilling her as she was pulled towards sleep.

Eveningmist entered the warrior's den. "I hope Moonsplash heals soon," she muttered quietly.

Nighttalon listened to the night. Nothing so far... which was good. He felt the spirits of the silverpelt watching him.
